Confirm() javascript function -  I would like Yes/No instead of OK/Cancel

Hi All,
I am using the confirm() javascript function and it works great! BUT, I would like Yes/No instead of OK/Cancel.
Is there another function or a way to change the names used by the function.
<pre>
function SubmitCmd(sCmd) {
var lpartial = html_GetElement('P44_PARTIAL').value;
if(lpartial == 'Y'){
// Go see if this partial exists for this ISD
var l_DIST = html_GetElement('P44_DDDCCC').value;
var l_ISBN = html_GetElement('P44_ISBN').value;
var l_BKTYP = html_GetElement('P44_BK_TYPE_CD').value;
var lapp=html_GetElement('pFlowId').value;
var lpg=html_GetElement('pFlowStepId').value;
var get=new htmldb_Get(null,lapp,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=odpExistingPartial',lpg);
get.add('G_ITEM1',l_DIST);
get.add('G_ITEM2',l_ISBN);
get.add('G_ITEM3',l_BKTYP);
var lexisting = get.get();
get=null;
if(lexisting != 0){
// Show Alert Question
var conf= confirm("There was a partial found for this ISBN and ISD."+
     "<BR>Do you want to add this partial to the existing one"+
     " found?");
if (conf) {
     // Set up to call existing copy in Partial screen.
     html_GetElement("P44_COPY_ID").value = lexisting;
     doSubmit('ADD_PARTIAL');
     return;
doSubmit('CREATE');
</pre>

Hello,
The confirm() function is a built-in JavaScript function which you can’t alter.
You can build your own dialog box, with any text and options you need. Search Google for “JavaScript modal dialog” and you’ll get references to a lot of examples. Not all of them are trivial to implement within APEX.
BTW, if you want your code to maintain its format, you should use the forum internal tags [ code] and [ /code] (without the blanks). This way your code will be readable.
Regards,
Arie.

    Has Apple made any attempt to fix the 'no deleting apps on iCloud' yet? Would like this feature instead of going to Apple or having to write them to get this feature. What's the point of having an iPad if you can't manage it. You get an app you thought you'd like, but don't &amp; now it's taking up space for another app that could be useful, if not better.

    Items showing as in the cloud on app store, do not take up any spce on either your ipad or on your icloud, it is stored in the app store cloud.
    The main reason to not delete is it is the history of what you have purchased, you can hide it from view if you would like.

  • Submit functions - I would like an official answer from Adobe...

    Hi,
    I would like to get an official answer from adobe about this subject:
    Until acrobat reader 7.05, any use of "get()" and "post()" FormCalc methods in any livecycle form, would not be allowed.
    With acrobat 7.0.5, those functions already work in any form created with livecycle.
    Is this a new functionality? Or someone has forgotten this methods...
    Thank you.

  • Possible bad Superdrive - would like to confirm opinion

    The specs:
    iMac G5 w/ iSight
    2.1 GHz
    1 GB RAM
    OS 10.4.10
    Drive = MatsushitaDVD-R UJ-486
    Revision = FA0G
    Serial number = this is blank for some reason
    Detachable = No
    Protocol = ATAPI
    Unit number = 0
    Socket type = internal
    Burn support:
    Cache = 2048 KB
    Reads DVD = Yes
    CD-Write = -R, -RW
    DVD-Write = -R, -RW, +R, +RW, +R DL
    Burn Underrun Protection CD = Yes
    Burn Underrun Protection DVD = Yes
    Write Strategies = CD-TAO, CD-SAO, DVD-DAO
    Media = No
    The symptoms:
    When using DVDSP4 to build and burn a DVD, the DVD fails to burn almost every time. When using Disk Utility to burn an image built by DVDSP4, the burn fails about 80% of the time with the error "could not calibrate laser power level for this media".
    Also, new symptom: iMac will not start up from CD or DVD. I need this function to repair permissions and run maintenance utilities. Apple logo comes up during startup, but after a few minutes, the No System Folder symbol (or Empty Set symbol). Symptom occurs when using Tiger DVD, original OS DVD and Tech Tool Pro CD.
    Burning problem began about two months ago. System startup problem was only recently noticed.
    Changes:
    Recently, my company purchased Fuji white inkjet hub-printable DVD-R media for client projects. Before then, we used a generic brand from Edgewise Media (may have been unlabeled Fuji), IOMega brand, Maxell and Verbatim discs. All were white inkjet printable, but not all were hub-printable. It seems that the symptoms began with this new Fuji media, as the first one used was the first one to give me the problem. However, other media does not seem to be any better anymore. Only CD burning seems to be 100% effective. It is possible that this particular media somehow damaged my Superdrive. The media does not work in my Dual 1GHz G4 Superdrive, yet it works perfectly fine in another iMac G5 with the exact same specs, and my iBook G4.
    The question:
    Basically, I would like to know if anyone else has had a similar problem, and what was done about it. To me, it seems like a hardware failure, but since I cannot start up from a CD, I cannot use Hardware Test to find out. As I have been reading the threads, there seems to be a similar "this machine is a year old and never gave me this problem before" theme. My feeling is that I need to replace the drive using the Applecare warranty. The other option would be to get an external drive, which I don't want to do. Any ideas, thoughts or suggestions? Would Target Disk mode allow me to check the hardware?

    A few suggestions:
    See if your Superdrive needs cleaning. Cleaning kits can be purchased from any store that sells CD/DVDs.
    Make sure the CD/DVDs you are trying to use are not scratched and/or dirty.

    Another help source (if you haven't already done so).
    Go to your OS Help Menu. In the search field type dvd
    Click on all the troubleshooting topics & Support Articles that pertain to your issue.
    You can also do the same in Disk Utility. Open same up.
    At the bottom left of the window, click on the purple button w/the "?" in the middle.
    This will bring up the Help Menu.
    Regarding your computer not starting up from your System DVD, try a 3rd party utility CD like DiskWarrior and/or TechTool Pro. Make sure you use the version compatible to your current OS.
    If none of the above works and/or no other user chimes in here, then I suggest that you contact AppleCare & get your $$$ worth before you consider purchasing any hardware. AC warranty covers hardware issues.
    You can also use the Chat with a Support Agent for support. The online chat support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
    BTW: I would like to thank you for describing your problem & your system in such detail. This makes it easier for the knowledgeable users to properly help you.
    Good luck!

  • Would like to "confirm exit" before ApplicationMgr_OnExitApplication is called...

    Hello all,
    I am using TS3.5 with CVI8.0.1 and the "full-featured" CVI operator interface that ships with TS3.5...
    I would like to force the user to have to answer a confirm pop-up prior to being able to exit the application before the "ApplicationMgr_OnExitApplication ()" is called...
    Naturally, this event happens when the menu "File >> Exit" is selected or when the main window close control (the "X") is clicked on. I want to do this because there are things I'd like to clean-up and close-down when the user plans to exit. I thought it would be as simple as placing the body of that callback inside a simple ConfirmPopup (). So that's the first thing I tried.
    However, at run-time, when I select the menu "File >> Exit" I get the error popup: "Application is not running (TSUI.ApplicationMgr) Unexpected Operating System Error.[Error Code: - 17501]". I disabled the Window-Close in the main window for now, just so that I could concentrate on the menu item that exits.
    So, my next step was to crawl into the "RebuildMenuBar" code and learn how to create a custom version of the enumerated "TSUIConst_CommandKind_DefaultFileMenu_Set", or at the least, understand the "CommandKinds Enumeration" in the TestStand Bookshelf and the TestStand Help file to even see if this was the proper way to go...
    So after looking at it for a while, I got to thinking that this looked like a long-winded solution to something that should be very straightforward to implement (in CVI-speak).
    I think I must be doing something wrong here. Is there a different ActiveX event I should be registering to a new callback function that I need to create?
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Jumper Bones

  • I know only Javascript and would like to convert a large numbers of scanned documents into layers to mount on white a4 canvas

    I have got more than 400 scanned documents of A4 size. But they are not of uniform size. Luckily they are all of 300 dpi.They were created on a scanner. When opened in photoshop they contain random patches that are transparencies, although there seems to be no difficulty viewing themon adobe reader.
    My laptop had "Gb RAM and does not accept CS4 I have Photoshop CS3. My javascript and photoshop are both limited to basic skills.
    I would like to mount each document on a white A4 sized photoshop background of300dpi, as a layer, flatten it out and save as the desired page.
    As this is rather time-consuming, I would like to have a script that will perform this task, on a single file.
    I would like to manually run this script on each file.
    If possible I would additionally like to  put the individual pages in a folder and run the script repetetively on all files in the folder.
    Any suggestions or held will be gratefully appreciated
    thanks, peter

    I would presume so, but it might be worth your while to experiment and play around with different combinations to see if you can block FaceTime while keeping Game Center open.  Good luck!

  • I am moving to Alice Springs, Australia, this summer from the U.S. I would like to get the new iPad. How can I found out if I will be able to access all the functionality in Alice? Will I need to purchase a local plan of some sort?

    I am moving to Alice Springs, Australia, this summer from the U.S. I would like to get the new iPad to use while traveling back and forth from the U.S. to Australia, and within Australia. How can I found out if I will be able to access all the functionality of the iPad in Alice? Will I need to purchase a local plan of some sort? I have never owned an Apple product before -- I'm a newby!

    Aside form the limitation of LTE to the 700MHz and 2.1GHz bands (which rules out LTE in Europe I gather, at least as it stands now) the new iPad should let you use a GSM 3g/2g/edge network anywhere.  The CDMA Verizon model will only be able to use it's native CDMA radio band in the USA (that radio will be locked to Verizon), but it's international GSM radio is the same as the AT&T model.
    Keep in mind though that by far the cheapest option when abroad is to take advantage of free wifi as much as possible (well, that is always the cheapest option, since it is free).  I know several people who have taken their wifi-only iPads and iPad2s to Europe and said they did not find the lack of 3G really inconvenient at all as most towns had plenty of free or cheap wifi access all over the place.
    And in 3 years, your iPad will be at least 2-3 generations behind, LTE will have already been replaced by 5G or whatever the next new generation of cellular ends up being named (and the "young" kids will be wondering what the heck 3G even means or meant - dang that stuff was from the olden days!), and you can pitch that ancient piece of technology and start things all over again

    I would like to embed interactive widgets in iBooks using iBookAuthor. The widgets in question started life in Java but GWT has allowed them to be converted to javascript and to run on web pages (for example, http://softoption.us/content/node/437 scroll to the bottom). In theory, iBookAuthor can bring in most html5, and much javascript. The technique is to wrap the html in a folder, with 2 extra files, a plist and a default png and then change the extension of the folder to ‘.wdgt’. This is the technique for making Dashboard widgets for the Mac, and Apple even have the Dashcode software to do it. So what you really do is to make a Dashboard widget, then iBookAuthor can import it.  So far, so good. And some  folk have been doing this, for example http://www.prweb.com/releases/2012/2/prweb9242432.htm http://www.panophoto.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=10417&p=158330#p158423 However, if you start with GWT and create a single page with one button and a Hello World, compile it, and get the WAR file (I use Eclipse here)… the Safari browser and others will run it properly (even on an iPad). Then if you wrap it, a proper Dashboard widget is created, which runs properly on a Mac. Then if you go to iBookAuthor and put a custom widget in the Text, then drag it in. It is accepted by the text and shown as being there. However, if you use Preview to look at it on an iPad, it is gone (or was never there in the first place). Anyone any ideas on this? [And iBook Author seems to give no warnings.] The widget is at https://dl.dropbox.com/u/46713473/Test6.wdgt.zip I have bells and whistles that I’d like to get into an iBook!
    Thanks for any insights.
    Martin

    I do have a little to add, which might help someone. Indeed, opening a blank page and dragging the widget straight in seems good in difficult cases. But, actually, I was also able to insert successfully from the Toolbar especially to blank pages. So, it may have been something to do with the columns and stuff like that. Anyway back then the insertion would show in iBooks Author but not in the Preview on the iPad. I moved on to actual Google Web Toolkit output javascript. Basically I had three at hand to try: a Hello World with a button which went straight it, one of moderate complexity, (for example with a built in Lisp interpreter), which also went straight in, and finally a more complex one that initially was rejected by iBook Author. Author complained that there was an unsupported media file (of course, Author does not tell you which one it is, that would be too easy). [Remember, this was a proper working Dashboard widget which could be installed on a Mac]. Among other things I had read remarks about .gif files. When looking through the GWT war directory at the actual javascript etc files, I noticed there were two gifs there one called ‘clear.cache.gif ‘  and a second one called  ‘0F89659FF3F324AE4116F700257E32BD.cache.gif’. (Now, there is obfuscation so the numbers here may be different from case to case.) The clear.cache.gif did not seem to be anything special. But the other one is an animation. It is three little boxes that twinkle (rather like a waiting spinning cursor).  So, I opened that file and saved it to itself (that picks the top frame of the animation and saves only that, leaving you with an unanimated gif). The resulting widget drags and drops into iBooks Author (and seems to work properly at a quick glance). So, if you are having trouble with ‘unsupported media files’ converting animated gifs into unanimated gifs might help in some cases.

    Hello Apple Support Team,
    I'm from Brazil and I would like to know if the unlocked iPhone 5 which is advertesed on the US Apple Store webpage works fine in Brazil. Could someone from Apple please confirm that for me?
    Thanks in advance.

    The iPhone bought unlocked from the Apple store in the US will work in Brazil on GSM. Nevertheless the LTE frequencies might be different.
    Be aware that:
    You will NOT be able to order from the US Apple online store. You will have to go to a physical Apple store in the US.
    The warranty is only valid in the US and you will not be able to get warranty service in Brazil.
    With all of that, why not buy the iPhone in Brazil?

    No. Your iMac only has DVI video connection. You would need an iMac with Thunderbolt.
