Connecting a MacBookPro to a Wallstreet Laptop to exchange files

I want to connect my old Wallstreet to my MacBookPro. I cannot follow the directions on the MBP because the Wallstreet is setup differently. Do I turn on AppleTalk? Do I use Ethernet Cables?
What do I write into the blanks that appear - there won't be an IP address. Do I put the name of the computer I am on or the computer I am going to? I want to transfer my old files to the MBP.
Can I repair my Wallstreet from my MBP? It needs repair that Norton cannot fix.
MacBook Pro Duo Mac OS X (10.5.4)

My Wallstreet has 9.2.2.
My Firewire CD Burner isn't working on it right now. (Probably one of the problems.)
I have Ethernet cables and I tried following the instructions
but could get nothing to appear on either laptop. I am probably
not making correct choices. 9.2.2. is very different from 10.5, so I can't follow the directions completely. I tried the Target Disk thing and nothing
happened either. I probably don't have the correct version Firewire for
that. I guess I am just going to have to re-install 9 and lose everything.

I have an iMac G5 Tiger with a dialup connection. I have a Wallstreet OS 9.1 with Airport 2.0.2 and a Wavelan Silver card. I have no base station.
I thought it would be good to network the Wallstreet to the iMac, either to share internet (which would probably drag the speed down) or just to talk to each other.
I am looking for some idiot-proof step-by-step instructions to connect these two machines. I searched this site and didn't find what I'm looking for. Anybody know where I should go?

Sorry, should have explained that the intent was not to copy the imac to the laptop, but to create a permanent ability to transfer files back and forth between each computer. They each reside in different rooms, so cabling each time I want to do a file transfer would be a pita.

I've found that the order of operations, so-to-speak, can be important when hooking up mini display port to HDMI. I have the most success with the following operations in this order:
1) Plug HDMI cable into mini displayport adapter (the cable should not be plugged into either the TV or the computer at this point)
2) Plug the mini displayport end of your new super-cable to the computer.
3) Plug the HDMI end into your TV.
4) Switch inputs on your TV to the proper input.
5) If still nothing on the TV, try a different HDMI port on your TV.

You may have some problems because Apple has not certified that everything works with Windows 8 yet.

I can no longer connect to the internet on my laptop using my personal hotspot. Stopped working all of a sudden. Any tips as to why?

I used to always use my personal hotspot and connect to the internet on my laptop. Then one day it stopped working. I updated my phone so my hotspot password changed, so I changed that in the properties. It now says it's connected to my iPhone and there's internet access, but when I try to do anything it says not connected.

Do not worry about it.
Time Machine needs that your external drive is formatted in HFS+, or better known as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)". This filesystem is used by Apple on Macs and Windows cannot read or write drives formatted with this filesystem, being this the reason why all your devices do not read the external drive except your Mac.
You can only use your external drive to make Time Machine drives. If you store anything different, you may damage the Time Machine structure, so it is better not to use it as a drive to store other data. Instead, get another external drive to do it or create a second partition on the external drive formatted in FAT32 by using Disk Utility > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU3.html FAT32 can be read by Windows PCs

You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.

Thanks for the question. Based on the information you have provided, it sounds like your device is not detected in iTunes for Windows. The following resource may help resolve this issue:

This usually means that a required component is missing. Start with completely uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components in the order specified in the article below. Once this is done, download and install iTunes.

D13, thanks for these details. This an awesome clue. Are you able to connect to this Wi-Fi connection with other devices? Let's try a few steps to resolve this issue.
First, reset the network in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network and power your device off/on.
Secondly, delete the Wi-Fi connection in Settings>Select your Wi-Fi>Forget this Network and the try to connect to that Wi-Fi again.
Lastly, try creating your Wi-Fi connection. Tap Settings>Enable Wi-Fi ON. From Choose a Network, select Other. Enter the Wi-Fi network name. Select Security. Select the Wi-Fi network type then select Other Network. Enter the Wi-Fi network password then select Join

TV screen flickers after connecting to HDMI cable with DV6 laptop

When i connect my ps3 to samsung LCD tv it works completely fine.  But When i connect my hp laptop to same tv. The screen start's to fliker after 2-3 mins. Tried different refesh rate's and resolutions. didn't work for me . Also updated my display driver but still same problem.  Many suggested that HDMI cable might be the problem. But if cable is problem how is it working with ps3 connected to same tv.  Help. PLZ

I understand that when you connect your TV to your HP laptop via HDMI the TV screen flickers. If you connect the TV to your PS3 it does not. You have tried different refresh rates and resolutions but there was no change. Your notebook has HDMI version 1.4 supporting up to 1920 ×1200 @ 60Hz as stated in the maintenance and service guide. Please note chapter 1 page 9 under Ports. HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide Have you ran the HP Support Assistant to try and obtain any HP updates? Have you done all your Windows updates? You can also manually check the HP Drivers & Downloads   page. You will need to input your exact model and follow the prompts to display your recommended software and drivers. Please note HP is doing some updates to their web site and you may need to try later to access the page. You could try a different HDMI cable just to rule that out. How to connect to internet on E72 through Laptop

On all the posts that i have seen, it is possible to connect to the net on the laptop/pc through E72, but i need to do it the other way round. using GPRS all the time to update and/or browse the net/view maps/download app, etc, turns out to be time consuming and expensive.

Did you purchase this device from your current service provider? Have you contacted your service provider to have them send you the correct service books for browsing?
If you did not purchase this device from your current service provider and they do not sell this device then it is possible that they do not have the correct service books in their system. You are going to need to contact them for more information regarding this.
