  • Rule based system in SQL

we have an airline pricing system whose rules change often, and rather than re-designing tables and the client application code everytime that happens, we would like to develop a rule-based system to dynamically store the rules in a rule-based system that doesn't require re-design and code modification.
    any ideas ?
here is an example of the data that we would like to store
    if seasonality is LOW
    and passenger is CHILD
    and carrier is TRW
    and origination is COS
    and destination is PIT
    and ticket code is Y
    then price is 908
seasonality for carrier TRW is LOWfor travel between 01/15/06 to 04/15/06
seasonality for carrier JAR is LOW for travel between 02/01/06 to 05/01/06
age for carrier TRW is CHILD for passenger age betwen 2 and 12
age for carrier JAR is CHILD for passenger age between 6 and 14
.. and another price can be given with an entirely different set of rules
reason is ask in this forum is I read a blog of someone who praises the set-based nature of the SQL language for developing exactly this kind of system, rather than trying to implement it on the client (for example using JRules)

What version of Oracle are you on? 10g introduced a rules engine into the database (Oracle Rules Manager and/or Oracle Expression Filter) which would seem to be right up your alley.

  • SSO to mulitple SAP GUI based systems in the Portal

    Hi Experts,
I need to create links for multiple SAP Systems (based on the SAP GUI) in the portal and implement SSO for them. Can someone tell me where and how to place these links in the portal? Is there a standard approach for this, like a "Systems" iview or something?
    Regards,
    Shobhit

    Hi,
So have you created 5 diiferent systems on Portal corresponding to your backend systems :
    SAP ERP Dev
    SAP ERP Qua
    SAP ERP Prd
    SAP CRM Dev
    SAP SEM Dev
Once you create the systems and the alias to these systems, you can create 5 iviews, one for each of these systems using SAP transaction iviews. The transaction code could be S000.
To learn how to create systems and SAP Transaction iviews, use these links :
    <b>Creating system :</b> http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/ec/0fe43d19734b5ae10000000a11405a/content.htm
    <b>Editing system -> Editing SAP System properties </b> http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/11e43d19734b5ae10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
The above links should help you create SAP systems and their aliases.
Then you need to create SAP Transaction iviews:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/88/266a3e54a2e946e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
To open these iviews as a pop-up or in a new window, set the following property for each of these iviews in the property category "Drag and Relate" : Launch in New Window = Display in separate window.
Set the <b>permission Read for Group Everyone</b> for each of these iviews.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,

  • Difficulty Connecting to WiFi From A Windows XP Based System.

Hello, this is my first post on the Apple Forums and also my first forums post using my new MacBook.
I got my MacBook from a official Apple distributer from my Polytechnic. I am required to have a MacBook in my course there, so the school has this distributer come over and sell them at discounted prices. The MacBook I bought was a Early 2008 model and the only issue I have with it is connecting to the internet. Surfing the internet is fine, apart from losing the connection a few times.
Quite often when I turn on my MacBook and log in, a screen pops up saying none of my preferred networks are available. Funny thing is my preferred network appears on the screen and I have to select my preferred network and use a 26 character password, which is thankfully saved in my keychains.
Now the problem is the connecting to the preferred network. I want my computer to do this automatically when it starts. The second, but bigger problem is that sometimes I can't connect. The computer will try for like 2 or 3 seconds and say connection timed out! I need more than 2 or 3 seconds to connect. Sometimes it says security failed.
The only way for me to get on is to keep trying sometimes more than 10 times!
my third problem is also frustrating. Whenever I close my MacBook to move it, my Messenger signs out and it takes forever to sign in!
None of the other computers in my home, using the same WiFi network are having any trouble. I am beggining to worry if my MacBook has a faulty WiFi. If this is so, it can get it replaced within 7 working days.
This is my first Mac and I want it to work perfectly.
    Problems:
    1) Won't automatically connect to preferred network.
    2) Difficulty connecting to internet over WiFi from a Windows XP based system.
    3) Windows Live Messenger logs out whenever I close my MacBook.
    Hardware Involved:
1)Early 2008 MacBook, 2.4ghz, 2 gigs RAM, Leopard (Not updated, just the one pre-installed on my MacBook.)
    2)Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router
Any help will be much appreciated.

    1) Yep, thats been done. This problem seems to have been solved. It was an issue yesterday, but since turned on my MacBook today morning, I haven't had any issues.
    2) The Security Setting is WEP Password. Sorry I wasn't clear about the "WiFi From Windows XP." I'm not too tech savvy when it comes to networking, but my router is connected to a Windows XP PC. This PC is directly connected to the internet. In my house there is also an my MacBook, an iMac and Windows XP Laptop. Am I making any sense hehe?
    3) I checked the Energy Saver, but I cannot find the option that allows me to keep my internet on while the MacBook is closed. Nothing at all. Right now, I have set my MacBook to High Performance while its plugged into a socket and its on Better Battery Life while using batteries.
Thank you so much for the help bdkjones.

  • REDHAT LINUX 7.3 on nForce based systems - An installation guide.

INSTALLING REDHAT LINUX 7.3 ON NFORCE BASED SYSTEMS.
    A) Preface
I'm a Linux newbie, just sharing my experience with installing linux on nforce.
in my opinion Linux is a powerful but still a nascent operating system (in terms of user friendliness atleast!). many features are extremely 'release' and 'version' dependent.  this means that, what works in redhat might not work in mandrake or what works in redhat 7.3 might not work in redhat 7.1 or likewise...
the steps i'm listing below just reflects how i went about installing RH 7.3 on my machine (K7N420D). it MAY not work for other versions or releases.
    B) BIOS SETTINGS
    1. I recommend, PnP disabled, ACPI/APIC disabled.
for Mandrake 8.2 install on some machines (mine included), i suggest disabling audio and network in the bios till you get a stable level 3 (console without X windows) or level 5 install. for some reason, sometimes, on some boards,  Mandrake 8.2 hangs when probing audio and lan during boot.
    C) PREPARING TO INSTALL
    1. i suggest you get the three iso images from the internet and burn them into installation disks. though there are other ways of installing, this is the simplest way of doing it.
    2. if you have windows installed already, make sure you have a windows boot floppy in case of boot problems, you can also make one for linux during installation.
    3. using windows or fdisk strip off a sufficient chunk of hard disk space from an existing partition if you don't have a free partition. you need not create any partitions, just the non-allocated space would do. (as red hat can beautifully split this partition into /boot, / & swap partitions!)
    4. i recommend using GRUB (GRand Unified Boot-loader) instead of LILO for boot management. if you prefer the same way, get good documentation/how-to for grub from the net. this will be handy if you mess up your boot partition and end up in a grub prompt during boot.
    5. goto nvidia's drivers page and get appropriate drivers. i always recommend tar balls or src.rpm files instead of pre-compiled rpms. if you are using EXACT same version of the linux release as mentioned in the drivers page you can use rpms. If you wish to upgrade your kernel or use a different version of linux then make sure you have tar balls or source rpm files. make sure you also print the installation instructions from the same page.
    6. the drivers you need are
    a. NVIDIA_nforce-1.xxxx. - you need this one for audio & lan. (found in nforce link in drivers menu in nvidia site with an instruction manual)
    b. NVIDIA_kernel-xxxx AND NVIDIA_GLX-xxxx- both these for Graphics in Xwindows. these two drivers should be exactly matched. i suggest you download all of them along with a files named NVchooser.sh found on the same page. NVchooser will tell you which pair to install for your linux kernel version and CPU.
    D) LINUX INSTALLATION
    1. boot from 1st installation disk that you made. go through the GUI installer and choose automatic partitioning, it will take you to the Disk Druid and you can select the partition in which you wanna install linux. if the partition you choose is unallocated, most of the times didk druid will make three patrtions on its own, one is /boot (boot partion), /swap (partition for swap, similar to ramdisk) and / (root partition). all the three mount-points may be allocated on the same partition too.
    2. Choose GRUB (if you prefer) as boot loader and set Linux as primary boot OS and this page would've detected windows if you've already (it may appear as DOS). Choose "MBR" to install GrUB. If you get any warning ignore it. IMPORTANT: If you have NTFS partition for windows and you had windows as primary OS, there is a reported problem that says, in some versions of the linux installer, choosing MBR to install GRUB makes it hard to boot into windows. i haven't tried that option yet as i don't have a NTFS partition. If you have an NTFS partition, you may prefer to choose the other option to install GRUB or you may choose to install it later. in either case make sure you have a boot floppy to get you into linux or windows, whichever one you want.
    3. choose automatic install if you don't want to control which packages you want to install. else choose expert installation and proceed with it.
    4. when prompted to check the packages you want to install, choose "development tools" or something similar without fail. This is for installing a C compiler which is a must have for some driver installations. (this also installs perl and other dev tools, if you're an 'expert', there's an option in this page to custom select modules)
    5. somewhere you'll be asked to provide a root password, in the same page there'll be a provision to add users other than root. create atleast one user other than root at this time.
    4. somewhere you'll be shown a list of video adapters with NVIDIA Geforce 2 generic driver already highlighted. Below this screen you'll see a "Skip X install" or something similar. CHECK THIS TAB and this will NOT install the generic driver for your integrated GPU and also will not configure the GUI environment for Linux. This makes your video configuration a little easier.
    5. now linux will install, get configured and will ask if you wanna create a boot floppy. make one just in case you
    6. RH 7.3 will not recognize your APU and integrated LAN. you can install the drivers for this later.
    7. After installation boot into Linux, if you just followed the steps above you'll nicely end up in level 3 console!
    E) INSTALLING DRIVERS
    1. Assuming you got all the drivers in CD/floppy, login as 'user', type command "su" (super user) supply root password, now you are logged in as root. read the installation manual for the NVIDIA drivers and install NVIDIA_nforce-1.xxxx drivers for audio/LAN. do these series of steps from the console prompt,
    #vi /etc/modules.conf
press INSERT key, add the following lines,
    alias eth0 mcpeth
    alias sound-slot-1 i810_audio
    alias usb-interface usb-ohci
press ESC, (Shift) colon, wq and Enter.
This will save the changes you made.
    2. Now install the NVIDIA_kernel-xxxx AND NVIDIA_GLX-xxxx- drivers as per instructions. follow the steps below.
    #XConfigurator
Choose settings that are relevant to the monitor you use and mode supported. Choose custom configuration wherever possible. If your monitor is not listed, choose 'custom' all the way through and provide hardware details such as horiz/vert freq range, video memory and clock settings (choose 'recommended').
DO NOT LET THE XCONFIGURATOR PROBE ANYTHING. sometimes this might cause a hang that is not necessary at all.
select all videomodes and color depths that you think your monitor will support and exit XConfigurator without any probing.
    3.  Now at the prompt do the following,
    #vi /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
Press INSERT and make following changes.
    replace line
    Driver "nv"
    with
    Driver "nvidia"
In the Module section, make sure you have:
            Load   "glx"
Remove the following lines: (or put a hash before)
            Load  "dri"
            Load  "GLcore"
    and the whole
Section "DRI" (last three lines usually, DRI may be in lower case usually)
Press Esc, (Shift) colon, wq, Enter to save and exit.
    4. using vi make sure you have these lines in /etc/modules.conf file
    alias char-major-195 NVdriver
    5. edit /etc/rc.d/rc.local and insert
    /sbin/modprobe nvaudio
    /sbin/modprobe nvnet
save and exit. ( this is a crude way of loading modules but it works though!)
    6. Type "reboot" at prompt and reboot your system.
    7. get into bios and load original settings. (get back ACPI if you have windows, enable PnP OS etc)
    8. During restart linux may get you into the kudzu installer to install network drivers/audio, ignore this.
    9. login as "user" and type "startx" from console, your GUI should start smooth and you'll have video, sound, USB, LAN working (you need to fiddle a little bit more to get things work perfect) !
    10. There is extensive documentation found in the internet on these topics, have fun exploring them.
    F) TWEAKING YOUR HARD DRIVE
most of the modern hard drives support UDMA transfers and usually linux is pretty much conservative on this option. so you might want to force linux to use UDMA. the following discussion assumes that your hard drive is /dev/hda, change it to hdb, hdc etc as per your setup.
CAUTION: The 'hdparm' utility described here is a very powerful and dangerous if used improperly. USING hdparm IMPROPERLY MIGHT CORRUPT YOUR PARTITIONS AND RESULT IN SEVERE DATA LOSS. hdparm works with IDE drives. i'm not sure how it works on SCSI drives.
    @ console,
    1. type "man hdparm" and read through the hdparm manual atleast twice before you understand what it can do. THIS IS A MUST.
    2. login as root or get into super user mode and try the following. all commands are shown after #
    3. Benchmark the hard drive
    # /sbin/hdparm -t -T /dev/hda
this should spit out the transfer rate both cached and sustained. note this value. if these values are close to what you expect out of your drive, you are OK. you may get out of further adventures! if the transfer rates are horrible like 3.5 Mbps etc (it was on my seagate ata IV drive!), then proceed with the tweaks. the golden rule is, after each tweak, run the benchmark and record your transfer rate. if there is no significant improvement, revert back to the default settings.
    4. # /sbin/hdparm -i /dev/hda
note down MaxMultSect, MultSect, Modes supported : PIO/DMA, especially the mode with a 'star' in front of it. (prefered mode)
    5. 32 bit I/O : to enable 32 bit I/O over the PCI bus
    # /sbin/hdparm -c1 /dev/hda
this usually doubles your transfer rate if the drive supports. you may need to use -c3 for some chipsets.
    6. Enable DMA and set DMA mode
if your drive supports DMA find out the prefered DMA mode using -i option.
    # /sbin/hdparm -d1 -Xab /dev/hda, where
ab=64 + uDMA mode number (for eg. 66 for UDMA 2)
ab=32 + DMA mode number (for multi-word DMA mode)
you might need to prepare the chipset to enable DMA but on most of the modern hard dirves this works. refer to the "man hdparm" for details. beware, the options to 'prepare' the chipset for DMA should be used with EXTREME caution. if you do not know what you are doing, don't try it.
    7. To set multiple sector mode I/O,
    # /sbin/hdparm -m XX /dev/hda
where XX is the MaxMultSect value obtained using -i option. if the MaxSect is already set to this value, you need not tweak this.
after all these tweaks run the benchmark atleast three times consecutively and average the transfer rates. make sure you don't hear grinding noises in the hard drive. use these tweaks a couple of times manually and if verything appears to be working fine, add the necessary commands to the rc.local script to execute them automatically during  start up.
    G) FINAL WORDS
I assumed that you're a total 'newbie' to linux when writing this so i followed a conservative approach. most of the things that i described can be done in many ways, it's up to you to explore them! as usual, there MIGHT be typos and other serious errors in this guide. also the driver files that i might have mentioned here are the ones that were available when i wrote this. so you might wanna try their latest equivalents. i'm open to all healthy criticism and suggestions. when i installed linux on my nforce board, i was badly looking for an article like this on the net. i missed one, if it exists at all. so am i writing this. i hope you'll get benefitted by this in some way.
    -Venk@

    Venkat,
Thanks for this really really amazingly accurate and exhaustive post that helped me A LOT to install linux on my machine!!! Otherwise, I think I would still be hanging with a mandrake 8.2 trying to load sound...
My system is now fully functional but, (yes, there is a little but) I was not able to make the LAN function properly. When booting, while linux tries to load the ethernet module, I get something like:
'mcpeth device does not seem to be present, delaying eth0 initialiation'. Then, I open an X session, I try to use the network configurator, the ethernet device is there but when trying to activate, it fails... I swear I enabled the LAN in my BIOS.
I also tried to replace 'alias eth0 mcpeth' with 'alias eth0 nvnet' in /etc/modules.conf after reading the installation notes of NVIDIA drivers. I get a slighty different result: my boot error is now 'failed to load module'.
It is a shame I have to boot back to Windows to use my DSL connection. I think i need some insights. It will be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Chouch

  • How to connect labviewv database toolkit to SQL CE server

    Dear sir,
i am using labview 8.2.1 and Database Connectivity 8.2.i need same simple  concept of how to connect  LV database toolkit to SQL CE Server.

When opening the database connection, you will need to provide either a connection string, or a path to a UDL (which will contain a conenction string). The easiest way to get a connection string is to go to (no I am not kidding) www.ConnectionStrings.com. Once there you enter the type of DBMS you are trying to connect to, and the system will list connection strings that you can use based on the drivers that you're using.
How much experience do you have with LV and/or databases?

  • Windows 8.1 - Windows Couldn't connect to the System Event Notification Service service

I have an issue that has been bothering me for a while on new 8.1 computers. Standard users are not able to log into the computer on the first try consistently. They receive the error message: Group Policy client service failed the sign-in access is
denied. They are stuck at the logon screen.
If an administrator logs in (local or domain), they can log in but get a black desktop with two error messages. The first is Location is Not available - C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable. The second error message is a popup
balloon. It states "Failed to Connect to a Windows service. Windows couldn't connect to the System Event Notification Service service."
When a standard user attempts to log in, event viewer records three warnings. They are listed in order from oldest to newest
The winlogon notification subscriber <Profiles> was unavailable to handle a critical notification event. -Logged 9:14:44
The winlogon notification subscriber <GPClient> failed a critical notification event. - Logged 9:14:44
The winlogon notification subscriber <Profiles> was unavailable to handle a notification event. - Logged 9:14:49
After a reboot, users still have the issue. I noticed that the user profile services and system event notification service are not running though their startup type is automatic. They start after a minute or two.

    Hi Joseph__Moody,
Based on your description ,I assume it is a domain environment .First of all ,I would suggest you to try to update all the machine .
"I have an issue that has been bothering me for a while on new 8.1 computers"
Do you mean all the Windows 8.1 machine share the same symptom or just a specific one ?Did the machine work correctly before ?When did the issue start to occur ?Have you installed any third party software before ?Can we operate the machine when we login with
    an administrator account ?
If the issue occurred with the specific machine :
"The first is Location is Not available - C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable."
Please try the following suggestions if we can operate the machine when we login with the administrator account :
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile and verify if it has the Desktop folder there. If the folder doesn`t exit, we can copy from C:\users\Default\Desktop location(This folder is hidden by default).
We also can try the following suggestions to have a troubleshoot :
1.Run "sfc /scannow"or "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" to check the health of the system files.
2.Perform a full scan with an antivirus software.
3."They start after a minute or two."
I suspect there is a third party service confilct here. Please perform a clean boot to verify whether there is a third party conflict here .
How to perform a clean boot in Windows

If the issue occurred with multiple machines in the domian ,I would suggest you to check whether you have configured any logon scripts and logon group policy .We can remove the machine from the domain to have  a troubleshoot .
If the issue occurred recently ,we can perform a system restore to recover the machine to a previous normal point.

  • Bw publish and connections not based on the sap bw mdx query driver

    Dear experts,
we are currently facing a problem with transporting reports that are based on multiple database connections and joined using the cross database join feature of crystal reports. One connection is based on the SAP BW MDX driver, the other is based on a SAP functionmodule.
Now when transporting the reports with STMS and publishing them via /crystal/rptadmin and bwpublish only the bex mdx query connection gets updated. The other connection is still pointing to the original location.
    e.g.
    transporting
    DEV -> PROD
function module still pointing on dev server.
As we need to use the sap default transport system in order to get all features (no SP4 yet) and we can not change the reports manually in the PROD system before publishnig and don't want to mix in the LCM we have no idea how get a work around for this problem.
Changing the database connection via CMC on the PROD system has no effect either.
    Please help.
    Thank you very much!
    Thorsten

    Hello Thorsten,
What you observe is "By Design" of the product. The dynamic update is supported only for reports using the BW MDX driver (or historically for those using the deprecated BW query driver). Other SAP drivers such as the OpenSQL driver which you use to connect to the function module do not leverage the same features when using the SAP Transport process.
You may report directly against your target system when connecting to Function Modules.
    thanks,
    Akin

  • Runtime error while connecting from SAP to MS-SQL DB

    Hi,
I am writing a program to send data from SAP to MS SQL DB.
The stored procedure when run alone works fine.
I have defined connection 'C04' in DBCO with correct attributes.
But the 'CONNECT TO C04' statement gives me runtime error DBIF_DSQL2_CONNECTERR saying that 'Connection to Database system with the identifier C04 is not possible;.
First of all, I am not very clear if it is a ABAP problem or BASIS problem.
I did a lot of research but could not find a solution.
    Please help me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Shubha.

    Hi shubha,
    1. If your application server
       is unix/aix,
       then connection to MSSQL db
       is not possible.
    (Bcos both OS are different,
and the connector is not provided
      by sap / not available)
    2. After making an entry in DBCON Table,
probably something may be required to
be done on the application server,
       by the basis team.
    3. If this connection is required
to be made to oracle server,
       then basis definitely requires
       to make a connection string
       on the application server
       (apart from the dbcon entry)
    regards,
    amit m.

  • Connecting an application to a sql server database

I want to make a login for an application. I need to check the username and password from a sql server database. I'm really at a total loss here. Can anyone tell me how to write the part concerning the connection? Thanks

    Hi,
Please find below the code to connect to Sql Server
    database.
You need to have the sqlserver server driver jar
    files(msbase.jar,mssqlserver.jar,msutil.jar)
    in your classpath
    import java.sql.*;
    * Microsoft SQL Server JDBC test program
    public class Test {
public static void main (String args[]) throws
    s Exception {
    // Get connection
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new
    com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver());
    Connection connection =
    n = DriverManager.getConnection(
    "jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://<Host>:1433",<"UID>","<PWD
    if (connection != null) {

  • Regarding Connecting Multiple BI Systems to single R3 System

    Hi,
We have perform R3load based system copy of our BW Systems dev/qa/prod.
Now, we have D4D/D4T/D4P as one new BW Landscape
we have D2D/D2T/D2P as original BW Landscape
We have R8D/R8T/R1P as R3 Landscape.
Original BW Landscape is already connect to R3 in RSA1->Source Systems
Now I need to connect new BW Landscape to existing R3.
    like D4D to R8D, D4T to R8T respectively.
I made new BWREMOTE user in these new BW Systems & when I try to delete
existing Source system that came as part of system copy. It says to
    delete transfer rules,PSA etc also.
When I try creating a new source system from New BW to R3; it says
    source system already exists.
Request you to kindly advise mechanism of same so that both bw systems
can connect to single R3 without any issues.
When I say restore on new bw system; It says "Connection DI is used in
R3_R8T10 Sourcesystem as a connection BW_D2T100 to BW". Delete this.
So, basically if I restore source system in D4T, It impacts existing
    source system in D2T.
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

    Hi Sanjay,
Instead of deleting exising source system, try to change logical systems and run BDLS job. It will fix problem.

  • Restrictive connection to SAP system from J2EE

    Hi,
I am using NW04s SP15. I have a webservice defined in stateless session bean. In my web service I am connecting to SAP system and doing some processing. If there are too many invocations of this webservice all DIA workprocesses of backend system gets used up and CPU runs into 100%. Is there a way I can restrict the number of connections to backend specifically for my application? This has to be configurable at customer end. It should be such that if configured number of DIA workprocesses is exceeded then application should wait and connect again. It should not throw any exception.
I do not want something generic for the J2EE engine, but something specific for my application which is deployed on the server.
Any hints/suggestions would be highly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Suparna

Kumar, in addition to the technical connectivity that Sushma is talking about, if you have security considerations SAP GUI supports SNC, which needs to be configured at both the GUI and server to connect securely.  I believe this only secures GUI communication, so if you have other connections between the systems you'll need to have additional security.
There are many hardware routers available, at all cost levels, that will allow you to establish a dedicated VPN (virtual private network) and encrypt all communication.  On the extremely low-cost end you can also set up SSL port forwarding for all SAP services (ports 32XX, 80XX, etc), but SSL services have to be enabled on both the front-end and back-end servers.
If you're using web services or other HTTP services, SAP supports the use of HTTPS.  Those services need to be set up in ICM control (tcode SICF or SMICM, I can't remember off the top of my head).

  • Could not make connection to source system

    Hello Experts,
I am trying to fetch data based on selection for last month in info-package but when I try to enter selection (pull down button), I get error message - "Could not make connection to source system..."
    Any idea why this message?
I have already checked connection to ECC - is fine.
    Datasource is replicated.
Also if I try to run info-package without selection - I am getting yellow status, No data fetched. RSA3 shows many rows but Info-package to data (Full extraction.)
    Regards,
    SM

    Srini/Vikram,
user credential is good. sm59 connection is good. there is data in selection as RSA3 fetches rows in ecc.
when I run any info-package - I am getting yellow status? No data while rsa3 indicate data for Full update?
    why so?
I am more of design person, not much into hands-on - so seeing these error for first time.
Q1) if a package is already schedule - let us sat thru data source 2lis_11_vaitm. Now I want to go back and retrieve last month data already extracted... once again. I should be able to pull this data in new infopackage using Full update - data selection option.
Q2) - rsa3 should fetch data based on set-up tables, so any infopackage based on Full update mode - should fetch data - independent of any other infopackage.
q3) we need to do delete and fill-set-up table - only if extract structure is changed? right?
    regards, sm

    Hi there,
Dont' know in BI 7.0 and oracle but I did it once with SQL Server and BI 3.5.
There, tables shown are database views that have been created whit certain conditions like:
User on the connection parameters is bd_owner of the database views.
User have select permisions for the database views
    User have db_dladmin
Check requirements for oracle but it seems and autorization problem on the database side.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Carlos.
