Connecting MQSeries to XI

Hi
We are trying to connect to MQSeries, however we are getting a channel error on the MQSeries side.AMQ9502 Type of channel not suitable for action reqeusted What MQSeries type channel is required for XI? MQSeries has
Sender Channel
Receiver Channel
Server Channel
Requester Channel
and Server Connection Channel.
It is not clear in the SAP help docu what is required.
Thanks
Tim

Hi Rakesh
Yes. Everything worked perfectly.
I'm getting on the XI side the following error:

  • MQSeries Server Settings for connection to XI server

    Dear All,
    I am doing MQSeries 5.2 -> Sender JMS adapter-> XI -> Receiver RFC adapter -> R/3.
    Can anybody suggest me what are the things in MQSeries which should be running at MQSeries server(like queue,channel, queue manager - their types) to get a message by sender JMS adapter in XI?
    Should the queue manager be of local or remote type? If it local, then can XI connect to this queue manager in MQSeries.
    In the above things, i am asking only about MQSeries server things and not of XI server things - just to clarify.
    So if somebody has connected MQSeries server to XI server, then please give replies to my above queries. It is slightly urgent.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Dear Chirag,
    i have already deployed the JMS adapter correctly in XI server.............
    i want to know is anything left on MQSeries server for me to do as a prerequisite to send message to XI server........
    So please reply to my above queries.
    Currently i am getting the following error in my sender JMS adapter:

    i have written '<IP_ADRESS>:<MQ_QUEUE_MANAGER>' just to hide the data - i am getting <IP_ADRESS> as IP Adress i gave in JMS adapter and <MQ_QUEUE_MANAGER> as Queue Manager i gave in JMS adapter.

  • MQSeries 5.2.1 server connection channel not running

    Dear All,
    I have to connect MQSeries 5.2.1 to XI server via sender JMS adapter..............
    Now for this thing in MQSeries server, what type of channel should i have to XI server - a server connection channel or a sender connection channel?
    If server connection channel, then how to get a running server connection channel as it does not has a parameter for connectionname in it - so in server connection channel, where to specify the XI server hostname and port? which port of XI to take in making the connection channel to work.
    I am asking the above things for MQSeries server and not for XI server - just to clarify.
    So please reply to my above MQSeries server queries.

    Hi,
    The  SVRCONN channel defined in the MQSeries will  be the Queue manager.

  • Mqseries with weblogic7.0

              Currently i have the requirement of connecting MqSeries with weblogic7.0
              server . looking thro the edocs , I cannot figure out how to configure the

              Is it the way to do ? or is there some other way ?
              I have looked at the wlmqseries.zip file at the dev2dev site also , but it

              Does anybody have a step by step configuration example to integrate mqseries

              You have to deploy the adapter through the console or in the
              config.xml. The way to deploy the adapters are the same as you deploy any
              Connector adapters. Please refer to the Connector doc. Or check out
              "Deployingthe Bridge Adapters" section in the
              following link:
              http://e-docs.beasys.com/wls/docs70/adminguide/msgbridge.html#1047954
              You have to configure two JMS Bridge Destinations (for the
              destination on the WebLogic side and MQSeries side repectively)
              and one Messaging bridge. You can find detailed information in the
              e-doc given above.
              > Is it the way to do ? or is there some other way ?
              The messaging bridge automatically transfer messages from one destination to
              another. If you just want a WebLogic EJB to read
              messages from MQSeries destinations, you can use MDB.

              By the way, there is a white paper to be published soon in dev2dev for
              integration of 3rd party messaging products with WebLogic Server.
              Hope this helps.

  • Connecting TopLink to MQseries via EIS and J2C adapter

    Hi all,
    has anybody connected successfully TopLink with (non-relational) datasource MQSeries?
    I have tree-tier-architecture with a custom server and RMI-clients. TopLink resides within this custom server (NOT J2EE App server) and connects to DB2 (mainframe) via JDBC. Now I'm trying to establish a connection to MQ as well and two phase commit. Has anybody experience with it? Best regards

    Set the TV to the input you connected the HDMI cable to.
    On your computer, if you open the Displays preferences and do not see an Arrangement tab (or there is an Arrangement tab that shows only a single monitor) then there is something physically wrong with your connection.  Try clicking Detect Displays just to see if the computer can now sense the presence of the connection. Check your cables and make sure the mini-displayport plug is pushed firmly in so that essentially all the metal part disappears inside the socket.  Mini-displayport plugs can be a little tricky in that you need to make sure the plug is fully seated in their socket.
    Once you do have an Arrangement tab, and it shows two screens, then click Gather Windows to bring the TV's Displays preferences on to your main screen if the TV is not yet showing an image.  Set the proper resolution (probably 720p, 1080i, or 1080p).  Set the refresh rate (probably 60Hz) if that preference is shown.  You should see a picture at this point.  I  recommend turning off mirrored displays if it is enabled.
    You may have to play with the underscan/overscan settings on your TV and the displays prefs for the TV if the picture is too small or larger for the TV screen.
    Also, you need to set your Sound preferences to output to the HDMI connection.  If the MBP doesn't support audio through the mini-displayport then you will need to connect your stereo audio out to your TV (3.5 mm stereo jack for the compter to usually RCA jacks on the TV).
    And when running Lion, do not run in Lion full screen mode.

  • JMS connect to Apache MQSeries

    I am fairly new to application servers and j2ee, but at trying to setup my Weblogic server JMS services to connect to an Apache MQseries provider for point to point JMS communications.
    Form reading the documentation I need to setup a bridge on my weblogic server, but does anybody know the details steps to accomplish it, when setting up the bridge is looks as if I need to specific specific java classes for the JMS provider, where are these obtained from, and what are they?
    Any help in this area would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Sorry for all the confusion.
    I just want to view Apache through a Web Browser from another machine.
    I have set the port to 81 because 80 is taken by my router configuration.
    If I type localhost:81 in the URL bar I can view my web server but if I type my ip address:81 it doesn't work.
    No worries, this is just what I wanted. Try editing and adding to the bottom of the file /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
    Listen YOUR_IP_ADDRESS:81
    <VirtualHost IP_ADDRESS_HERE:81>
    ServerName YOUR_SERVER_NAME
    ServerAdmin YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS
    DocumentRoot PATH TO YOUR HTML FILES
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteRule /(.*) https://YOUR_IP_ADDRESS:433/$1
    </VirtualHost>
    <VirtualHost IP_ADDRESS_HERE:433>
    ServerName YOUR_SERVER_NAME
    ServerAdmin YOUR_EMAIL_ADDRESS
    DocumentRoot PATH TO YOUR HTML FILES
    TransferLog /var/log/httpd/local.access.log
    ErrorLog /var/log/httpd/local.error.log
    </VirtualHost>
    I don't know if the 433 will be the secure part of your page but to have a cert attached to that, you will have to add a bit more to the VirtualHost related to 433 (you can read more about it at this link: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/ssl/ssl_faq.html). All the parts with CAPITAL LETTERS are parts where you will probably want to add in whatever relates to your set up.
    I noticed that by default, apache hosts all of their files in /srv/http so you can place all your files in there or another location (its really up to you).
    After any change to the httpd.conf file, you must restart or reload the httpd service located in /etc/rc.d/httpd
    Hope this helps.
    ::EDIT:: What 'JuseBox' is probably a great place to check as well. If your /etc/hosts.allow or /etc/hosts.deny is in play, you want to make sure you aren't denying everything or only allowing specific things into your apache server. Good call JuseBox!

  • Problem in establishing connection from MQSeries to Weblogic 7

              Hello,
              I was earlier having a connection established between MQSeries and Weblogic 6.1,
              that is working fine but recently I have upgraded to Weblogic 7.1
              Now when I try to have a connection between the MQSeries and the Weblogic 7.1
              then while establishing the connection it brings down the Weblogic server i.e.
              shuts it down. I am unable to track this problem. Please if any one has ever experienced
              similar type of problem or has a solution for this problem then let me know.
              Thanks in advance.
              JJ

    Hi,
    I guess the problem is due to the driver class not being part of the classpath in your web application. You should include the jar containing the driver class in your classpath. Please consult the documentation provided for your web server to do the same.

  • JNDI Newbe questions  : Connecting to MQSeries queue using JMS

    Hi.
    I'm trying to make a connection to a MQseries cueue using JMS and as I understand it I have to look some things up in a JNDI server.
    Right now I'm using the IBM Websphere test environment inluded in Visual Age for Java but later this aplication will be deployed on a Webphere 3.5 server.
    Question 1 : (code grabbed from an example)
    queueConnectionFactory = (QueueConnectionFactory)           jndiContext.lookup("QueueConnectionFactory");
    queue = (Queue) jndiContext.lookup(queueName);
    When i run an lookup on from my initial context I take it that it tries to search through the JNDI directory which lives within my Websphere Test environment. Ofcourse it doesn't find anything called "QueueConnectionFactory" so: What am I looking for here?
    I guess I want to find the MQseries server here right? Firstly I don't know what that one is called (is there a generic name?!) and second i suspect that the MQ server is not registrated in my local JNDI server...
    which lead me to Question 2 :
    Do I register a remote server in my JNDI directory OR do I try to connect to the real JNDI directry (that might have information on the MQ service) ?

    You are looking for the queue manager name in this case. You need a queue manager name and a queue name in you code, you also need define a queue manager and a queue in MQSeries. Then in your WebSphere Test Environment (Or run MQSeries command when you deploy this application, refer to its document) to define the relation between these two pairs of managers and queues. You may actually go to read these two articals and you'll feel much better to do this:
    http://www.developer.ibm.com/library/articles/programmer/farrell1.html
    http://www.developer.ibm.com/library/articles/programmer/farrell2.html
    Hope its helpful. Don't forget my 'dollars' if you feel this info is good for you.

  • MQSERIES 2009 - The connection to the queue manager was lost

    Hi, I use MQSERIES 5.3 with java 1.4.
    I tried to connect to any queue managers (in a connect phase) using the example code JMS/applet to test simple jobs but everytime I got :
    Reason: 2009 - The connection to the queue manager was lost.\n\
    Action: Verify that the channel name is valid\n\
    \tand that the queue manager is running and retry.
    I checked the name of QM (I know it's case sensitive), I tried to write the server channel name instead of the system default server channel constant... I checked if it was running... I checked the classpath (I known about the properties files MQ try to load - there are in a mqseries/java/lib jar file) well nothing happened.
    I read a reply to a similar question posted some time ago, but I didn't understand why the problem highlighted was to use new session before old one wasn't closed yet (or somethig else) , after that another solution was to use MQSERIES BINDING TCP CONNECTION instead the CLIENT one. I tried but I got other errors...
    I tried to run the mqseries/tools/java/base code with the parameters but I got the same error.
    Any idea about? Please forgot my english...!! ;)
    thanx in advance..
    Alex

    Just a thought....
    If you use connection pooling and you aren't closing connections properly, the 2009 reason code gets reported. The default max for pool connections is 100 on the SOLARIS implementation of WebSphere MQ. I am guessing it is something similar on other OS versions.
    It appears you are being very thorough, so I would guess you've considered this already.

  • How to connect OC4J tro use MQSeries

    How do I make MQSeries the default resource provider for OC4J. What I want to do is have a java program send a message to an MQSeries queue.
    thanks
    Isaac

    Hi,
    the administration of OC4J is per default restricted to the local node.
    So this will work, if you access the site locally (from the server where your OC4J is running).
    To change this, you can edit the "allow" entries in
    /opt/oc4j/j2ee/home/application-deployments/ascontrol/ascontrol/orion-web.xml
    (You will possibly need to restart oc4j).

  • Sender JMS adapter configuration for IBM MQSeries

    Dear All,
    i am doing a IBM MQSeries 5.2.x Message ->sender JMS adapter -> XI server -> receiver RFC adapter -> R/3.
    i have deployed the JMS adapter with the required jar files of IBM MQSeries 5.2.x in XI server.
    in Sender JMS adapter configuration for IBM MQSeries 5.2.x, i have put following data:
    1. Transport Protocol: Websphere MQ - is it okay?
    in JMS provider settings:
    2. in channel name - what should be there?
    3. Transport Network protocol should be TCP/IP or WebsphereMQ - how to decide this thing.
    4. JMS Complaint - whether WebsphereMQ or JMS API.
    in JMS Settings:
    5. JMS Queue user - is this IBM MQSeries 5.2.x Queue User or someother user?
    6. JMS Message Selector - what data to take here.
    So if anybody has connected IBM MQSeries 5.2.x to XI via JMS adapter, please answer my above queries.

    you can send me those documents at my gmail-id : [email protected]
    Hi All,
    one more question - to connect XI server to IBM MQSeries via JMS adapter in ID, do we need to have a MQSeries Client installed on XI server - or - just by configuring JMS adapter, we can send messages from IBM MQSeries to XI server without any MQSeries client on XI server?
    Why Channel name is required in JMS configuration data?

  • JMS, MQSeries, R/3 Link, NT and AIX...

    Hi all,
    To put you in situation, I have a java application which can run from any type of OS as of now. It sends documents to a queue (IDOCS) and those documents are then sent to SAP by an R/3 Link adapter. Using native binding and running the java application on the same computer as the QueueManager (AIX) it was all working fine.
    Now, I have translated my app to use JMS instead and tried to run it on my Windows 2000 PC. The message are sent allrigth to the queue, but R/3 Link is now giving me a handfull of errors, complaining about conversion, character sets and things like that.
    Here is a sample of errors I get:
    02/18/03 17:00:39 SMQ4165: Warning on MQGET from inbound queue. Reason code 2110.
    EXPLANATION: The attempt to get a message from the inbound message queue returned a warning. The warning code was 2110. The message will be passed to the use
    r exit if one has been specified. If no exit was specified, the message will be passed to the bad message queue. If no bad message queue was specified, the
    message will be left on the inbound queue, and the server will terminate.
    ACTION: None.
    02/18/03 17:00:39 SMQ4192: A data conversion problem occurred on the MQGET. Attempting to process message.
    EXPLANATION: A warning was issued because the message needs codepage conversion, but the message is either not in MQSTR format, or a user-defined data- conver
    sion exit call failed.
    ACTION: Ensure that incoming messages from machines with a different code page, are in MQSTR format or that there is a user exit defined to convert messages i
    n other formats.
    02/18/03 17:00:40 SMQ4167: IDoc has an invalid structure version. IDoc value="16777216". Expected value="1".
    EXPLANATION: The value of the version field in the IDoc header structure contains an invalid value.
    ACTION: Ensure that the IDoc message starts with a valid version of the Saplink header structure (MQSAPH).
    02/18/03 17:00:40 SMQ4191: A message was put to the bad message queue. Bad message type 1, reason 4108.
    EXPLANATION: The message was not in a valid IDoc format. The bad message type is 1 and the bad message reason is 4108.
    ACTION: Check the bad message reason code in the bad message header of the message. Attempt to correct the error and send the message again.
    I finally set the CCSID to 819 in the connection string, now I suspect that my problem is related to the encoding I use but I can't find what to set it to instead. I write everything in a ByteMessage by the way, just as I was doing it with the native bindings.
    Does anyone know how I am supposed to set this up? What encoding type should I set it to? Is the CCSID correct? previously, I was setting the format this way: bytesMessage.format = "MQHSAP ";
    But using JMS, there is no such property so I tried to just write it to the ByteMessage, not sure this works either...
    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel
    If it can be of any help, here is a code fragment of what I am doing:
    using native binding, which was working fine
    //Add the mandatory R3/Link header to our message
    bytesMessage.writeBytes("SAPH");
    bytesMessage.writeInt(1);
    bytesMessage.writeInt(108);
    bytesMessage.writeInt(273);
    bytesMessage.writeInt(819);
    bytesMessage.writeBytes("MQSTR ");
    for(int i = 28; i < 108; i++)
    bytesMessage.writeByte(32);
    bytesMessage.writeBytes(textMessage);
    bytesMessage.encoding = MQC.MQENC_INTEGER_NORMAL;
    bytesMessage.format = "MQHSAP ";
    And using JMS:
    //Test code
    queue = session.createQueue("queue://" + manager + "/" + name + "?priority=5&persistence=2&targetClient=1&encoding=" +
    MQC.MQENC_INTEGER_REVERSED + "&CCSID=819");
    //Add the mandatory R3/Link header to our message
    bytesMessage.writeBytes("SAPH".getBytes());
    bytesMessage.writeInt(1);
    bytesMessage.writeInt(108);
    bytesMessage.writeInt(273);
    bytesMessage.writeInt(819);
    bytesMessage.writeBytes("MQSTR ".getBytes());
    StringBuffer padding = new StringBuffer(80);
    for(int i = 28; i < 108; i++)
    padding.append(" ");
    bytesMessage.writeBytes(padding.toString().getBytes());
    bytesMessage.writeBytes("MQHSAP ".getBytes());
    bytesMessage.writeBytes(textMessage.getBytes());
    queueSender.send(bytesMessage);

    Hi There,
    I know you used JMS and Link for R/3.
    Now I am doing the same but I am getting the same problem besides I am doing what you mention in the forum.
    Can you give me a hand to fix this?
    I have configured and MQSeries under win2003 and in the same machine a Link 4 R/3. I have a Java app using a .bindings file to connect to the Q and send a message the same way you did, but i am getting this error:
    IDoc has an invalid structure header. IDoc value="RFH ". Expected value="SAPH".
    IDoc has an invalid structure version. IDoc value="2". Expected value="1".
    IDoc has an invalid system number. IDoc value=<T.
    IDoc has an invalid client. IDoc value=Y&#9830;.
    IDoc has an invalid language. IDoc value=.
    A message was put to the bad message queue. Bad message type 1, reason 4110.
    It seems as if the all the JMS headers are at the begining of the msg and it always throw the same error. it doesn't matter what data I put in the bytesMessage.
    I would really appreciate your help.
    Here a portion code of my SendMessage operation.

                   txtMsg = QSess.createBytesMessage();
                   txtMsg.writeBytes("SAPH".getBytes());
                   txtMsg.writeInt(1);
                   txtMsg.writeInt(108);
                   txtMsg.writeInt(273);
                   txtMsg.writeInt(819);
                   txtMsg.writeBytes("MQSTR ".getBytes());

  • IBM MqSeries configuration

    hi all,
    i m using mqseries 5.3. I have created Sender QMgr & Receiver QMgr & in that i have created sender queue & receiver queue.
    In sender queue i have created two channels
    1) Server connection channel
    2) sender channel
    In receiver queue i have created
    1) receiver channel.
    All the above mentioned things i have created using MQseries explorer & both these QMgrs are on the same machine.
    When i tried to test communication between two channel using ping then i am getting following error on MQ Explorer
    Unexpected Error(AMQ4048)
    & in AMQERR01.log file i m getting the following error.
    "AMQ6120: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred.

  • Remote queue in XI server for IBM MQSeries

    Dear All,
    my scenario is IBM MQSeries -> message via sender JMS adapter -> XI -> receiver RFC adapter -> R/3.
    now for IBM MQSeries to send a message to XI via a transmission queue in MQSeries - it needs a remote queue name and  queue  manager name in XI server.
    So now where can i find these information regarding remote queue name and  queue  manager name in XI server. I currently do not know whether in XI server, currently is there any remote queue or not? So how to find this information. If we do not have remote queue manager in XI currently, then how to install a remote queue name and  queue  manager in XI server.
    It is slightly urgent. So i request you all to please reply quickly.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Rajeev Gupta

    Dear Sebastin,
    Thanks for your inputs.
    I have to connect to MQSeries 5.2.1 to XI server.
    am getting the below error in Communicatin Channel Monitoring for my sender JMS adapter:
    Error during channel initialization; exception trace: javax.jms.JMSException: MQJMS2005: failed to create MQQueueManager for '<IP_ADRESS>:<MQ_QUEUE_MANAGER>'
    at com.ibm.mq.jms.services.ConfigEnvironment.newException(ConfigEnvironment.java:546)
    at com.ibm.mq.jms.MQConnection.createQM(MQConnection.java:1137)
    at com.ibm.mq.jms.MQConnection.createQMNonXA(MQConnection.java:799)
    com.ibm.mq.MQException: Message catalog not found
    at com.ibm.mq.MQManagedConnectionJ11.<init>(MQManagedConnectionJ11.java:171)
    at com.ibm.mq.MQClientManagedConnectionFactoryJ11._createManagedConnection(MQClientManagedConnectionFactoryJ11.java:228)
    i have written '<IP_ADRESS>:<MQ_QUEUE_MANAGER>' just to hide the data - i am getting <IP_ADRESS> as IP Adress i gave in JMS adapter and <MQ_QUEUE_MANAGER> as Queue Manager i gave in JMS adapter.
    i am using the correct IP and 1414 port of MQSeries server. I have used a MQQueueManager defined in MQSeries. i have deployed JMS adapter properly in XI server.
    So can anybody suggest what could be the possible reason of this error and how to rectify it. It is slightly urgent.
    One more question - should the queue manager in MQSeries server be a local or remote queue manager..........i was not able to create a remote queue manager in MQSeries 5.2.1 as by default it is creating a local queue manager.......
    Thanks and Regards,
    Rajeev Gupta
