If it's showing the red disabled screen due to incorrect passcodes then you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad via your computer's iTunes and restore/resync your content to it

  • I locked myself out of my ipod touch for 60 mins then actually typed the wrong password in again.  Now it is telling me to "connect to itunes".  I am unsure how to do this.  I am unable to use my ipod at all now. Please help.

    Hi,
Due to my brother locking me out of my ipod touch I had to wait an hour to log in again.  Unfortunately when I did this, I, again put in the wrong password twice more, each time locking me out for a further 60 minutes.  On my 3rd attempt to log in the wrong password was entered again.  This time though instead of logging me out for another 60mins it now tells me to "connect to itunes" but I have no idea how to do this and I am now unable to use my ipod.  Please help.

  • My ipod touch is stuch on connect to itunes screen and once in itunes wont restore or let me back into my ipod. What do i do?

My ipod touch 4th gen was given to me by a friend. It worked fine until it got the recent update ios6. when i went to install it gave me a black screen that had the connect to itunes symbol.I plugged it in and it instantly told me to restore my ipod. All i want to do is be able to use my ipod again so i said yes. Half way through each time it tells me there  is an error something is not connected or timed out and it stops.I have tried holding down home/sleep button and rebooting but each time it brings me strait back to plug into itunes screen and does not give me slide to shut off option. I have tried plugging it into a different computer (my home and my lap top) i have plugged it into the wall. i have done everything i have seen imaginable.I tried calling apple one guy said he'd help even though it wasnt under warrenty but had to call me back and (surprise) he never did and the second before he would connect me to help said i needed to pay 20 bucks. I dont have the money to do phone service and the genius bar is an hour drive away. Is there anything i can try that i havent yet? Or a way to completely shut it down and turn it on like brand new out of the box? Im really stressing out over this because ive never had to deal with this before. Please help!!

  • Can no longer connect to Itunes store

I cannot connect to Itunes store.  I have done everything that the Itunes support e-mail told me.  I unblocked pop-ups, checked my firewall that Itunes was allowed,  and checked my  internet connection and still no Itunes.  Itunes support has been no help other than 3 identical e-mails.  Can someone please help? Get the feeling Apple doesn't like non-Mac customers.

Try running iTunes Diagnostics and pasting the output here.
What firewall software are you running on your computer? Try to set it up again or uninstall it (for testing purposes only).

  • Froze upgrading ios 6 on connect to itunes screen not recognized by itunes and wont charge no power with usb

The guy at the Apple store said "Now thats a Brick" "I've never seen or heard of one this bad!"
I bought the phone with little to no info on it. I was told that it froze after several failed attempts at loading IOS 6.
Now... It will only turn on if plugged into wall, it will show black, then apple, then "connect to itunes" screen and thats it. As soon as I unplug, it dies. If I try power off, it turns back on and freezes in same place. Reset, same. And unabale to Factory restore cuz I cant unplug from wall. Im asuming its in dfu, nothing works.
When connected to USB,no power, no response from pc (win xp) or Itunes. Although... I swear I heard pc beap once as though it "found new hardware" but on inspection, Nothing.
My theories: 1) Battery is hooped. ( but I was told it worked fine a month ago) The longest I have had it charging is 4hrs and i died as soon as removed.
                        2) VCC conductor. Would explain USB issue.
                        3) The phone was "jailbroke" and IOS6 did not like that. Isnt there programs to reverse this?
                        4) IOS6 interupted, then phone got factory restored. Is it possible there is No "OS" on it?
I never touched an Iphone untill 2 days ago, and I have read and tried every troubshooting solution I could find. If I can fix this I'll be an expert!
    Any help appreciated.

  • After updating to 6.1.3, my iPhone can no longer connect to iTunes, or my computer at all.

Pretty much what the title says.
I updated my iPhone to 6.1.3, and ever since, it has failed to be recognised at all by my PC
Before I updated, it connected fine. After the update, the only thing that would show up is the charging screen, otherwise, no connection to iTunes, and not even recognised under My Computer or even Device Manager.
I replaced my cable, tried different USB ports, I tried re-installing iTunes, even went back a version. I then factory reset my iPhone. Still no luck, so I lost all my music/photos for nothing (my fault obviously for resetting, but not the point)
So ah, yeah. The latest "update" has actually ended up making things even worse
The big Apple has done it again!

I've had the same problem. Updated last night and haven't been able to use the phone at all since then. Black screen, grey screen, light blue screen, pixelated screen, white screen with darkened corners, flickering screen, white stripe across screen, no connectivity to anyone's computer incl bluetooth. Recurrent dead battery. Occasional apple on screen.
    Dead.
Have you had any joy with yours? Or should I just bin it?

  • After upgrade to IOS 8.3  iPad Air no longer connects to iTunes

Today I upgraded my Macbook Air to Yosemite 10.3 and my iPad Air to IOS 8.3
After upgrading the iPad I was asked to connect it via cable to iTunes in order to allow for wireless sync.
When plugging the cable in, the iPad starts sending endless alert beeps and the top line of the screen is shaking. On iTunes the error message "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. This device is no longer connected." appears with every alert beep from the iPAD. No matter how often the OK button is pressed, the message appears rightaway again.
I made a full backup of the iPad Air before upgrading to IOS 8.3 but I am very reluctant to reset the iPad as the same error might come up when connecting the iPad after reset to iTunes and then I would not be able to restore it at all.
Does anyone had a similar experience and/or is there any known workaround?
    Many Thanks for any suggestion.
    G.W

Thanks for your further consideration, much apreciated. I tried a different cable, different port and did reboot and soft reset. I also did reset of settings on iPad, just in case.
As  I can with no problems use the same USB cable and USB port with my iPhone to connect to iTunes, the issue must be somewhat with the iPad Air and iTunes on my Macbook Air. I also can connect the iPad with the same USB Cable to iTunes on a different Macbook with no issues.
I think, best is to do a full backup on a different machine and then setting back the iPad to initial state, followed by a restore.
This I can (hopefully successfully) do with iTunes on a different Macbook.
Many thanks for you kind support.

  • Apple TV no longer connects to iTunes

For some time now, my Apple TV fails to connect to iTunes. I don't see it in the device list and the only thing that works is to disconnect from my account and then re-sync from scratch (which takes about 15 hours to synch 10GB of content). I've done this twice in the last two weeks. The Apple TV shows that it is connected to the network and shows a strong signal. It also shows that it should be connected to my iTunes library. Yet, after a few times, it just stops showing up and syncing. I've tried power cycling, but that no longer seems to work either. Is the machine fried? Do I need a new one after a few years of use? Or am I missing something? Thanks for all suggestions.

SL has affected a small number of tv users, as was the case with all previous system, itunes and tv updates, this will always occur, but in every case so far these numbers are not significant and tend to support an issue with the users specific set up rather than the updates themselves.
It would be impossible in practice to test all combinations of software and hardware with impending software releases. The fact that an update works at all is a testament to how well tested the software is. As a result an update may appear on the surface to be buggy, but in reality a contributing factor is causing your problem.
If there is nothing to fix, further Apple updates may well not resolve your problem, you need to be looking for a problem with your own set up.

  • My iphone no longer connects to itunes

My iPhone is no longer recognized by iTunes as it has for over a year.  iTunes and all other software run correctly otherwise.  I've run through all the Apple tips, including reinstalling iTunes, although I didn't delete any files first as Apple suggests.  The iPhone driver shows correct operation in the hardware config file.  I suspect some routine security update is the problem as I do keep my software up-to-date.  I've never had a problem with the iPhone previously, or the connection to iTunes. I'm running out of ideas. The system is a Lenovo T510 Thinkpad in excellent condition, Vista 64 bit os.  Any suggestions would be appreciaed as I'm out of ideas for now.

  • Ipad 1 no longer connects to itunes

Updated both my iTunes to the most current and my iPad 1 to 5.1.1. Now it no longer connects to iTunes and gets an error message.

    Howdy Graham Burnette,
It sounds like you’re tapping Trust when you see the Trust This Computer alert on your iPad, but the device isn’t appearing in iTunes. Take a look at the two articles linked below, and Reset Location & Privacy settings if you see the alert each time you connect your iPad to your iMac, then follow the suggestions in the second article to resolve the iPad recognized by iTunes issue.
'Trust This Computer' alert on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you tap Trust, the computer will be trusted until you untrust all computers or you erase the device. If you tap Don't Trust, you'll see this alert each time you connect your device to that computer.
If you're using iOS 8 or later: To untrust all computers, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy. This will also reset your location and privacy settings. You can also untrust all computers by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will also reset your network settings.

  • IPhone no longer connects to iTunes via Wifi

On July 1,12 my iTunes did an automatic update.  After the computer restarting and I entered iTunes and the following messages appeared:
Message 1: Must reinstall itunes to connect to ipod or mobile devices.
Message 2: CD/DVD folder must be located in itunes folder in order to use with itunes
I have 2 iphones (both 4s, bought at same time, both running iOS 5.1.1)and one will briefly connect to itunes via Wifi (I will identify this one as iphone1) but the other one will not (I will identify this one as iphone2).  I have a PC with Windows 7.
When iphone1 is connected to itunes via wifi is disconnects randomly.  Under: Summary > Version, it has the message: Connect this iphone using a USB cable in order to update or restore its software.  When I have it connected with the USB cable, there are no problems. The settings selected under: Summary > Options > are: Open iTunes when this iphone is connected, Sync with this iphone over Wi-Fi,  & Manually manage music and videos.  The Setting under Backup > Back up to this computer (where it backs up to; I do not know)
iphone2 does not connect via Wifi but used to.  It connects without issues with the USB. The Settings in iTunes > Summary are the same as iphone2 except that iphone2 is set as Backup > Back up to iCloud.
My iphone2 is my primary device.  I use it exclusively; for music, taking photos, syncing photos to my Photo Stream folder on my PC, etc.  The iphone1 is my spouse's secondary phone, so its not used as often (ie: only has 4 songs downloaded, used to take the odd picture, has a mirror image of apps from iphone2).
I searched Apple Support and tried the following solutions that didn't solve this problem:
How to restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows (support.apple.com/kb/TS1567) &
Set the Apple Mobile Device Service Startup type to Automatic
I have not done this: Remove and reinstall iTunes and AMDS. I did goto the: iTunes for Windows: Device Connectivity Tests > iOS > iPhone - iTunes Troubleshooting Assistantand into iTunes > Help > Run Diagnostics.  The results were: All tests passed. (My iphone2 was plugged in with USB. The iphone1 was connected via WiFi.)
What do I do now?  Do I need to remove and reinstall iTunes? and if so will I lose all my itunes info (videos, music, apps, settings) or will it just show up after I install iTunes?

  • Remote no longer connects to "iTunes 10.1.2"

    Hi guys,
I just upgraded to iTunes 10.1.2 and now Remote 2.1 can no longer connect to iTunes. It worked just fine before the upgrade. Anybody else having this problem? Ideas how to solve it?
    Josef

OK IT IS WORKING FOR ME NOW.
I am not sure if this is what fixed it, but it wasn't working, I did the following and now it works. It's worth trying...
    - In iTunes preferences under "sharing" I un-checked "share my library on my local network" and hit OK.
    - In iTunes "advanced" menu bar, clicked "Turn Off Home Sharing" and then turned it back on.
    - Re-checked "share my library on my local network" under preferences.
    - Quit and re-start iTunes.
Again, I don't know which of these steps fixed the issue (if any) but now both my remote app (iPhone4) and AppleTV (2nd gen) connect fine to my iTunes 10.1.2 library.
    Good luck!

  • IPhone no longer connects to iTunes.

I added music to my library last night . When I went to connect to iTunes this morning the phone wouldn't connect. It vibrates saying it's plugged in, asks if I trust the computer (yes) then vibrates again as if saying not connected even though it's charging. I've tried reinstalling iTunes, restarting both phone and computer, deleting phone driver and reinstalling it. Nothing works. I have a windows 8 that I just recently updated to 8.1 last weekend, fully updated iTunes and updated iOS for my phone. This is driving me crazy. Please help.
