Connection error in Performancepoint service in sharepoint

hi All,
i am using sharepoint Performance point services 2010 for creating Dashboard.Datasource for Listitem is working fine, but when
i am creating a datasource of tye (Analysis services) .while selecting the database after entering the Server name. it is throwing the following error message.
cannot conect to server. make sure the service is available and is running at least Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis services.
Regards,
Kamal Pundir

Hi,
For this error message, it is sql server analysis service issue.
Please go to your server > start > administrative tools > services >
sql server analysis services(your sql instance name) and
sql server browser to change the log on account to domain administrator or other users with access to sql analysis service and then try again.

  • Data connection error to analysis services via unattended account after configure kerberos

Hi, I setup connection to SASS from dashboard designer using Unattended Account, and everything was fine. Then I started to configure connection with Kerberos using Per-user Identity authentication, and after long customization it started to work. But in
the same time Unattended Account authentication stopped working.
From dashboard designer I got error:

    Hi Adrian,
Sorry for misunderstanding and thanks for the additional information.
As I searched, there are tips for your situation:
    1. of the great new features of PerformancePoint Services is that you can now select different authentication options for each data source you create rather than having to decide on one authentication model to use for each web application.
2.If SharePoint is configured in standalone mode Per-user Identity authentication is only supported if the data source and the application server are located on the same machine.  Kerberos constrained delegation is required to connect to a data source
located on a separate machine from the application server in a farm deployment.
3.Per-user Identity is only supported with Windows credentials, neither anonymous or forms login are supported.

  • How to handle network connection error to bussiness service on OSB

    Hello everyone.
Thank for your attentions. I need some help for error handling in OSB 11g. I have a proxy service that route to a business service to check profile status. I'm using java client to consume proxy service and return result to customers. The problem that I'm face to is the handling network connection fail.
I want to get some message (or any useful information) from proxy service to report that connection to Business service is unavailable when that connection fail. I tried to add Error Handling but I cannot found that action from option list.
Can you review my proxy service and tell me some resolutions?
    Any suggestion is appreciated.
    Thank in advance

you could add an error handler on the route-action in your proxy service.
in there you could investigate the $fault variable and for example check which BEA-... errorcode comes back.
then you can decide what to reply back..for example create your own soap-fault and set your own messages.
now the default $fault generated by the osb itself will get returned

maybe that one helps you a bit

  • Did not find the PerformancePoint Services in sharepoint server 2010

    Hi Friends,
i have just installed the sharepoint server 2010 in my computer. i want to use it to make scorecards. but i did not find the Performance services in Central administration (services on server)
anyone can help me with this?
    Qearl

PerformancePoint services are available only if you have installed Enterprise edition of SharePoint. If you have installed Standard or Foundation, then PerformancePoint is not available.

  • PerformancePoint Service Event ID 1

I have already asked this once, And got not one reply.I begging anyone who can help to please shed some light on this..
"An exception occurred while rendering a Web control. The following diagnostic information might help to determine the cause of this problem:
Microsoft.PerformancePoint.Scorecards.BpmException: There was a problem setting the item location URL.
    PerformancePoint Services error code 20700."
    What I have tried:
Stopped Performance Point Service - Under Central Admin (Manage Service on Server) - must be set on auto start (its running)
Deleted Service application PoerformancePoint Service - Under Central Admin (manage Service Applications)
removed PPS from (parent) -> Site Settings -> Site Collection ADmin ->Site Collection features - PPS (deactive)
removed PPS from (parent) -> Site Settings -> Site Actions -> Manage Site Features - PPS (deactive)
removed PPS from (subsite) -> Site Settings -> Site Collection ADmin ->Site Collection features - PPS (deactive)
removed PPS from (subsite) -> Site Settings -> Site Actions -> Manage Site Features - PPS (deactive)
I've tried everything I could possibly think of to stop these events, and it still occurs, and I can't replicate it...
Is there some way I can generate what "web parts" "templates" "Sites" "ANYTHING" that is using this service so I can stop it?!?!

    Hey Victoria,
I really appreciate the help on this issue, it has been the toughest thing I've ever had to do, since for some reason administering a SharePoint FE server requires a Ph.D in... convolved setups...
Anyway a couple question based on your reply..
    Hi,
The PerformancePoint Service error may be due to its incompletely setup.
Please follow the link below to re-configure the service to see if the issue still occurs:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee748644(v=office.15).aspx
    1) Is there no way to setup and configure SharePoint 2010 without PerformancePoint Services?
It's apparent that these events are due to the fact that PerformacePoint was setup at one point and something failed.. and cause events to be generated... LOTS of events, which could be seen by our Monitoring server..
However my goal was to have the SharePoint 2010 FE server be clean of events, I was hopinh to achieve this by removing the PerformancePoint Service completely from the FE as currently Collective DashBoards, or anything using this service is not being used
in our SharePoint Enviro, so I'd rather not have this service until it comes time that we create and need Collective Dashboards....
But since I'm in literally dire disarray to have a clean event log on this server and my SharePoint skills are very very limited, I contiue to read up on these two services SecureStore and PerformancePoint and I keep getting confused in its complex setup
    and requirements..
There are so many Tuts that tell you how to setup A performancePoint Service, PPS App, and link it to a App Proxy.. yada yada, but for instance, in the MS link you provided it stated:
    $w = Get-SPWebApplication -identity <web application>
    $w.GrantAccessToProcessIdentity("<service account>")
I was finally able to get this to work once I had actaully logged onto the FE server with all the required credentials to do it, but simply running The SharePoint Management Console "AS a different user" wasn't sufficient to work... Even then I was
wondering how to verify that a set service account has required permissions, no no verify permissions cmdlet I could find, so I simply reran the command with the AD account we have setup for PerformancePoint Service, just to make sure I covered every step
in the link you provided me.
While everything completed without issue while setting up the Managed Service Account, Granting it access, starting the PerformancePoint service on the FE server, creating a new PerformancePoint Service Application, and putting it into the default proxy
service application associations, I know I'll prob still get events in the event log... Nothing I have ever done has been able to get me to get this to work... which is why I request any query that could led me to anything that attempting to use this service...
I have removed everything I thought was using it, so now my question really becomes how can one complete remove PerformancePoint Service from SharePoint 2010... goggling leads to
this, but once again doesn't give any information on how to first check to see whats using it before deleting it... Isn't knowing whats using it important before deleting it? Isn't that what Linux does when you go to remove a service or application it warns
you of any services or applications that use it as a dependencies , and state these will not work if you continue with the removal... This is the key I need to know in this setup to locate and stop these events.. What in SharePoint is currently using this

  • Performancepoint service application error

    Hi,
I am new to SharePoint 2013, I have configured the PerformancePoint Service Application.  When I tried to create the data source from the PerformancePoint Content section.  I am getting the following error.
"Cannot connect to the PerformancePoint, contact the administrator"

This might be problem with PerformancePoint service application association.
Go to Central Administration -> Application Management -> Configure Service application associations.
Associate PerformancePoint Service application with your web application.
Hope this will resolve your problem.
Please mark it answered, if your problem resolved.

  • An error occurred while trying to connect to a Web service, when InfoPath web enabled form loads.

    Hi Everyone,
I am getting an error message: An error occurred while trying to connect to a web service, when my InfoPath form tries to load.  The last few days, it only spits this error message in the morning and around 12pm-1pm it resolves itself and the form loads
fine the rest of the day, oddly enough.
A few things about my form:
    1). It is web enabled
2). The form submits to a form library on the SP server
3). I use the UserProfileService data connection in the form to auto-populate a few fields
4). I use a udcx file with correct language stored in the root of the site collection in the data connection library
5). The form has been working fine until a few days ago
I noticed while in Central Administration, that the User Profile Service Synchronization is Stopped.  Not sure if this is causing some or all of the problem. If I need to start it I will need to contact my farm administrator to do this, since I do not
    have the service account information.
Also, I looked thru the log files on the SharePoint server and found the following by searching for the Correlation ID shown when the error comes up, I won't put in everything just the important messages.
Schema file was already loaded: BuiltInActiveXControls.xsd
FormServer Partial Trust - Proxy operation invoked in the SHIM process.
FormServer Partial Trust - Invoking proxy operation for Web service adapter failed with exception Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object. for Url=https://<SP URL>/_vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx
Data adapter failed during OnLoad: The custom code in the form cannot be run. This functionality may be deactivated on the server. For more information, contact the server farm administrator.
The following query failed: GetUserProfileByName (User: , Form Name: Expense Report, IP: , Connection Target: <SP URL>/Data Connections/GetUserProfileByName.udcx, Request: , Form ID: urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:Expense-Report:-myXSD-2014-04-11T21-06-32
Type: DataAdapterException, Exception Message: The custom code in the form cannot be run. This functionality may be deactivated on the server.

    Hi B.,
You are on the right track. I recommend that you first get the User Profile Synchronization Service started because that itself could be the root cause of the issue.
If that doesn't fix it then focus your attention on the GetUserprofileByName data connection. I always use my secure store ID for this connection. I add the ID by editing the udcx file and then publishing it again.
    Hope this helps.

  • Sharepoint 2013 Publish ContentHub Error Metadata web service application proxy Metadata Service Application Proxy.

I'm trying to republish the content hub but getting mms errors. I checked the coorlation id but make no sense of it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to republish the content hub.
I recommend to execute the following PowerShell command to add all permissions needed:
    Initialize-SPResourceSecurity
In addition, you can create a new managed metadata service application and also a new application pool account to check whether it works.

    Hi MOSSDeveloper1,
    Below is our suggestions:
1, try to open the URL in the Browser directly, then to see what happen. Maybe you can do the next action plan based on the error message in the Browser.
    http://localhost:32843/99f510a2628e4f24a5dbde00a57f0cbb/ReportingWebService.svc
2,Try to get the application pool id based on the  Reporting Web Service  id "99f510a2628e4f24a5dbde00a57f0cbb"
    Locate The Web Service in the sharepoint Web services in IIS, then click the advanced setting, you would see the application pool id;
Then Browse  IIS manager "Application Pool", select the pool with the ID , restart it.
3,If the above two didn't helpful. tried to reboot the server or the steps below.
Update the web.config in the service host IIS web site and add the following. Set minFreeMemoryPercentageToActivateService to a lower percentage.
    <configuration>
    < system.serviceModel>
    < serviceHostingEnvironment multipleSiteBindingsEnabled=”true” minFreeMemoryPercentageToActivateService=”1″/>
    < /system.serviceModel>
    < /configuration>

  • "An error occurred accessing your Microsoft SharePoint Foundation site files" connecting site with SharePoint Designer

I have a SharePoint 2013 environment with 1 AD Server, 1 DB Server and 1 APP Server, with 13 Web Applications running under the SharePoint.
Recently I rebuilted the application because of some infrasctrucutre problems, and I was able to solve all of them, except one. I can't connect to any of those 13 Web Apps with SharePoint Designer. When I try to connect, it always ask credentials, then it
seems like loading the site, then the error appears:
"An error occurred accessing your Microsoft SharePoint Foundation site files. Authors - if you are authoring against
a Web server, please contact the Webmaster for this server's Web site. WebMasters - please see the server's application event log for more details."
I've spent hours troubleshooting it, but none of the information I found was valid. I've already tried to clean the cache, but didn't work. I found plenty of related data of this
error with FrontPage and old versions of SharePoint, but nothing helped. All the Web Apps are SPD-Enabled at Site Collection Administration. I've tried connecting from many different PC's. The 15/LOGS folder doesn't get any data from this error, neither the
    Event Viewer.
I really don't know what else to do. Please Help!

I found the answer of my issue was in a .NET Agent installed by NewRelic on the server. I found a connection trouble with Fiddler, then I end up figuring this out:
This can be the result of Real User Monitoring so the first step in troubleshooting would be to disable it and see how it affects the application. The .Net Agent injects snippets of javascript into the header of pages sent to the users browser to measure the
page load time on the user's end.
You can disable RUM by editing newrelic.config and changing this line:
    <browserMonitoring autoInstrument="true"/>
    to this:
    <browserMonitoring autoInstrument="false"/>
