Connection Limits

Hi,
I was searching online for limit on the service and there are multiple different version on the answer accross 2 years of posting.
Is there a maximum number of concurrent connection on a single account?
Is there a maximum number of groups?
My application use voice-chat in p2p. Is there any kind of limitation I should know before launching public?
I am creating a "prototype" project, but it might "boom" because of its originality.
If there is a limit, can I remove it by asking Adobe? (I am asking right now)
Thanks!
ps: I do not have any servers, nor FMS, and I a not planning on using cummulus for the same (server) reason.

the 16 limit is per user/client/connection to the server, not per developer key.  if each user is in one group, then it doesn't matter if you have one group with a thousand members or a thousand different groups each with one member.
RTMFP Groups are self-organizing (via gossip), but a new joiner to a group needs to find out about at least one other member of the group to become connected. Cirrus tells new group joiners (via the "server channel") about a few other members already in the group to get them started. that's the "bootstrap" operation.  Cirrus will track up to 16 concurrent groups per client connection.  Cirrus will close the server channel for the 17th or later concurrent group for any one user/client connection.  closing the server channel has no effect on whether the client is in the group, but the bootstrap operation won't be performed so the client won't be joined to the other members of the group automatically by Cirrus.

  • Connection limits questions.

    Hi all.
i got a crahed 5520 this week and was showing
    <163>Nov 28 2011 11:34:45: %ASA-3-201013: Per-client connection limit exceeded -125/100
What the negative number tells ?  i usually see same numbers like 100/100 with means the connection limited has reached.
    also the box was showing
    <163>Nov 28 2011 19:51:17: %ASA-3-210007: LU allocate xlate failed
<161>Nov 28 2011 17:50:44: %ASA-1-105005: (Primary) Lost Failover communications with mate on interface OUTSIDE
from the last 2 log messages its showing that the box was out of resources correct ?
    Thanks.

The negative numbers reading is caused by a bug. Please see "CSCtl23397 - ASA may log negative values for Per-client conn limit exceeded messg".
The 210007 message is indicating stateful failover is out of resources. See this explanation.
Overall it appears your boxes may be pushing the limit of their capabilities connection-wise. Some further investigation would be required to determine whether that was a one-time event or indicative of a need to upgrade (memory or device).

  • Setting connection limits

Sorry, but can't seem to locate how to do the following on FMS 3.5.
I have multiple applications, and need to set different connection limits for each of them - e.g., 10, 35, etc.
I'm only concerned with limiting RTMP connections, and not using Apache or http streaming.
Could somebody please shed some light?

Assuming you're using FMIS.... In your main.asc:
    application.maxConnections = 35;
    application.onConnect = function(client){
         if(application.clients.length >= application.maxConnections){
              application.rejectConnection(client);
I have no idea how to limit connections on FMSS... I don't know if you can do it at the application level.

  • Proxy Authorization with COS connection limits Issue

Any one having issues with connection limits (nsSizeLimit, nsTimeLimit, etc) be applied on connections that come from the proxy server with the proxy authorization control?
    Example:
nsSizeLimit is set on user A to 2000, via a COS Pointer definition. If user A connects directly to the directory the nsSizeLimit of 2000 is used. If user A connects through the proxy, and the proxy connection to the directory is through a proxy authorization connection via ID admin1, the limit is not applied and the system default limit 1000 is applied.
If I over-ride the COS value for nsSizeLimit and say its 3000. If I use the proxy connection in this case the limit of 3000 is used. So it only fails for COS settings.
All the ACI's are being correctly applied via the proxy connection just not the connection limits. So basically I can't get the limits to work when I have a COS value being used via the proxy authorization user.
Any ideas on how I can get around this. I want to avoid having to enter in the different limits into entries. Also using the limits in the proxy would create to many connection handlers.
Thanks for any help you can give.
    Cory

    Hi,
I don't think that connection limits (Time, Size and Throughput) for User A can apply to operations that are using the Proxy Authorization for that user. Proxy Authz is a delegation of Authorization for the ACI, and does not apply to Connection specific limits.

    Ludovic.

  • Apache Web Server Connection Limitations

    Hello,
Does anyone know what is the simultaneous connections limitations that the build in web server on Mac OS 10.4 has? I'm assuming if I would use OS X server there wouldn't be any? Thanks for any responses.
    G5 Quad / PowerBook G4 17' 1.67ghz   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

So the build in Web Server that comes with the retail version of Tiger doesn't limit the amount of connections? I think I read in another posting that it was 10.
By default the apache config show 150. AFAIK the 10 limit is to afp connections not web connections.
It is easy enough to test turn on web sharing and ask 11 of your friends to connect to it.

  • WIFI connection Limited

    AAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!
This is driving me nuts too!! WIFI keeps dropping signal on my BBZ10 and also my wifes BBQ10. There are another 10 or so devices in the house with no issues what so ever.
To make things more irritating, it is completely random. We are both regularly connected to the home hub, yet cannot access online apps or online browsing. Then the z10 will sometimes drop connectivity and a message will appear in the hub saying 'Wifi connection limited' and then all of a sudden an hour or 2 later, it will re connect to the wifi.
tried all sorts, anyone else having a similar issue?

    OK.
I'd check, for sure. I've seen that EXACT problem before because YOU are using this device, you notice it more. A stationary laptop or iPad it might not be noticed or dropped because it is stationary. Likewise, if you have a couple of other devices streaming music or a movie via WiFi, your device may very well be limited due to bandwidth. That's common. Before, if you refuse to check, ok.
On your Z10, go to the WiFi screen > Saved Profiles.
Delete the saved profile for that router.
    Reboot the Z10.
    Setup the WiFi connection again.
That might help with a stronger connection. It will not help with dropped connections due to limitations of the router.

  • Err connection limited reached for your ip address On HIGH SPEED INTERNET

I am getting the following intermittent error "err connection limited reached for your ip address" since this morning. It must have something to do with changing to the SSL ports. This applies to this account and my sub-accounts.
How do I get it fixed?
    Thanks

This issue was supposedly resolved by Verizon. Are you still getting this error?

    Hello paradom
From your description, your device is able to connet to your wifi, but can not properly communicated.
Delete your saved wifi network in your device, reboot your Z10 with battery pull for couple of minutes, restart your wifi as well. Then try to reconnect to that wifi again.

  • Hp photosmart 6520 connection limited

my printer is not printing. It is telling me connection limited.... please help i restarted router still nothing. Restarted computer nothing.

Hello @jodyseth , and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you are experiencing connectivity issues.  I would like to help!
I would recommend powering down your computer.  Once the computer is down, select Setup on the front panel of the printer, and select Network.  In  the network menu, select Restore Network Defaults.
Once the defaults have been restored, disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, and remove the power from your router for 60 seconds.
After 60 seconds, plug the router back in.  Once the router has begun broadcasting, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
After the printer is on, run the wireless setup.
    I'd also suggest this document:

  • Windows Vista laptop to Time Machine Airport wireless connection "Limited"

Hey everyone, sorry about this issue, as its most likely a simple fix. Being an apple user of 20 years I have never owned a PC, long story short, a new guest in my home has a windows laptop that is running Vista, and is only connecting to my Time Capsule wireless with a "limited Connectivity" on the IPv4 and IPv6. Is there a fix for this? or am I missing something?
If it helps, we have had other windows laptops connect to the TM with no issues, and the connection we are using is that of the Guest Network on the TM, the one I have set up for guests or visitors.
    thanks in advance everyone

You can at least start to narrow the problem down if you temporarily disable the wireless security on the "guest" network and then see if the laptop will connect that way. If it will, that tells you that the laptop can connect and it's likely a security setting issue on the laptop that will need to be tweaked if you want to continue to use wireless security on "guest" network.
If the laptop will still not connect, then it's likely that the Windows Firewall and/or the anti-virus software is blocking the attempted connection. Someone will need to get into the applications on the laptop to "allow" or "enable" the connection.
If that still won't allow the connection, maybe one of the PC guys on the forum here will have some additional suggestions.
Keep us posted on your progress

  • IPv6 Connectivity limited ??

I am wondering whether anyone can help me with this one please ?
We have recently had massive problems with slow broadband speeds. We have home hub 1 so have had the hub for a while now and have never had a problem with speed until the last month or so.
What I have noticed is that our wireless network connection status says that:
Our IPv4 Connectivity is Internet and the IPv6 is limited..
This I can see is the problem because when IPv6 is limited the internet is very slow, ie videos are impossible to watch, however IPv6 normally says Local??
Any ideas how to change this back to local from limited ?? and any ideas why this connectivity keeps changing ?
    Thanks

Unless I am mistaken, Home Hub 1 will only deal with IP version 4. Even the connection into the Internet is IP version 4. IP version 6, even though implemented by some Broadband companies such as in France, is not used by BT.
The DHCP on your Home Hub, this is what gives your computer its network address cannot even issue an IPv6 address.
It is most likely that this is something that is being generated by your PC. If for some reason you are running  IPv6 within your network, the router into the internet will strip off the first part of the IP address so that it is now an IPv4 address.
If you believe it is IPv6 causing a problem, you can turn it off in the software on your PC. I presume it is XP or later as that was the first to offer IPv6 in addition to IPv4. I would be guessing where it is located on your machine but typically it will be in control panel and network.

  • Unix domain socket connection limits ?

    Hi All,
I'm trying to handle more than 32 conn. connections on a unix socket domain on Solaris 8 or 7. I couldn't able to pass 32 connection limit. As far as I know, this was a limit for Solaris 2.5.1 or 2.6. I raised the tcp_conn_req_maxq and tcp_conn_req_maxq0 values to greater than 1024 and it didn't help out.
Is there anyone who knows how to pass this limit ?
    Best Regards,
P.S. I have 1GB ram on each machine.

The default limit is 256. Try to look plimit command, which change thats limits.

  • IMAP, POP, HTTP connection limits

    Messaging 5.x and 6.x:
Are there default limits when these three configutil parameters are not set?
    service.imap.connlimits
    service.pop.connlimits
    service.http.connlimits
Or, is the default to allow the maximum number of any kind of connection based on OS configuration?
    Thanks,
    Don Holtzer

The settings you show do not exist.
    they actually are:
    service.http.maxsessions
    service.imap.maxsessions
    service.pop.maxsessions
    per documentation:
    http://docs.sun.com/source/819-0106/cfgutil.html
    and are per process.
    The defaults are:
    1 process, 6000 http connections
    1 process, 4000 imap connections
    1 process, 600 pop connections.
Please note, these are simultaneous connections, not total users. It's rare to get more than 10% of your users connected to imap or http at any one time, and POP is a short time connections.
The defaults are likely good for up to 30 to 50,000 users.
You can configure more than one process, up to something like 10, as needed.

  • Cisco 6248 Connectivity Limitations

    Hello,
I am new to the UCS Fabric Interconnects and am wondering if there are limitations to connecting a Cisco 3925 Gen 2 ISR (desinated Voice Gateway) to a fabric interconnect, specifically a 6248 with the latest version of code.  It appears that the FI's support 802.1Q VLAN encapsulation and trunking, which is typically configured in the cisco voice world for any downstream switchport interface to pass Voice, Data, Server VLAN's to the corresponding devices.  It also appears that the FI's will support some forms of quality service, like Priority Queing.  I have not seen where the FI's support LLQ or CBWFQ.  So at the end of the day I would like to know if there are any limitations to connecting a Cisco 3925 Gen 2 ISR to which will be used as a Voice Gateway.  I know that typically its best practice to connect to some other switch, but since the FI has the capabilitiy to running in "switched-mode" I didnt know if this would work.  Thanks to all that review this as well as thanks in advance to anyone who lends any thoughts
    - TA

SAN port-channels are not supported between UCS FI and Brocade SAN switches. You will need to use individual links.
Leave the UCS fibre channel in default end-host-mode. This will connect to Brocade in the Access Gateway mode (Cisco's NPIV)

  • Lenovo G400s Wireless Connection Limited Access on Windows 7 Ultimate - 32 bit

Just bought Lenovo G400s, install windows 7 ultimate - 32 bit on it.
It turns out the wireless network driver need to install manually, the disc driver that came with laptop was for windows 8.1. So I went to lenovo website, put on the series and download the wirelss network driver which is around 250 MB.
I installed the driver and connect to the wireless network. My office wireless was on security and use static ip. I changed the ipv4 ip static already. It connected for a while, 1-2 second then lost connection. I checked with ping to google, got 2 records of live connection which is very short. After that it try to reconnecting itself again and again with status said "Limited Access"
I search in google, read some forums about problem in different series, so I use another computer go to Intel website to download latest driver. Got it installed, but it's still the same.
I try download broadcom driver, but it's really different and doesn't work at all.
Now I don't know what to do.
    Windows 7 Ultimate - 32 bit

    Driver Provider: Intel
    Driver Date: 1/26/2014
    Driver Version: 15.11.0.7
Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compability Publisher
What makes it weird, although from intel website said the driver date is in 3/21/2014, and the version is 16.11.0, but this information I get from device driver was different.
    Here's the intel's website if you're wondering:

    Can anyone help me?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Today I want to install windows 8.1 on it, because the laptop came with windows 8.1 driver disc.
However, I try the wireless connection once again , one final try before I clean install the OS.
It turns out the internet connection is connected. Ping is quite stable, got a small drop. Nonetheless, IT'S CONNECTED!!!
I don't know what happened, I tried thousand ways yesterday and gave up. Today I don't set anything just try connecting with static IP set the ipv4 just like I did yesterday, and it connects without hassle!! is there a pc fairy or what?
The possible way I can think of is the router's internet connection's got restarted since It's a new day at office.
Despite how it solved still mystery to me, I think I mark this thread as Solved.
