"Connections currently in use" negative???

WL 4.5.1 sp7, Solaris 2.6, Oracle 8i
We're have multiple connection pools set up on wl, and are seeing very slow
response on one particular pool. Upon inspection of the WL console, we see
that the connections currently in use is '-5'! Is this a console bug, or is
WL somehow catching more returned connections than checked-out connections?
Gene

This is the case on slow connection pools in WLS 4.5.1. It is fixed in SP13.

Problem Description=Whenever a connection pool runs out of connections, all
the threads of the WLS become blocked.
I had a discussion with Joe Weinstein starting on the weblogic jdbc news
group and continuing in email. He told me to use Driver.connect() instead of
DriverManager.getConnection() and provided me with a patch - jtsdriver.jar.
Can someone please provide me with more information on this? Specifically,
if jtsdriver.jar is an official patch? Here is the last email from Joe ...

Hi Mike,
Here is the modified service pack doc which includes the reference to Issue
32204
This fix made it to source but for some reason did not get documented.
So this fix for sure is in service pack 13.
hope this is what you are looking for.
Best Regards,
Michael O'Shea.

Hi Joe,
I could have anticipated the solution ;-).... back in my old job this
problem would not have even manifested, so you can believe how far back
into my head my eyes rolled when I found out we were still running WL
4.5.1 sp7 on JDK 1.2.2 here. Curse me for working for a big, profitable
Internet company with long QA cycles! And curse us for producing an old product that was stable enough that the
big profitable company never had to replace it till now maybe? ;-)

It's neither of those, it is probably a counting bug in that server'sversion
of the pool.

  • TC: The Internet connection is currently in use by another computer...

So, I have a TC connected to a Netopia ADSL modem from Earthlink. Ocassionally, when the computer has left the wireless network, I will come home to find the following page with the Earthlink logo at the top:
“The Internet connection is currently in use by another computer
    ( 172.16.1.10 ).
Enter your DSL Account logon password to switch the Internet
    connection to this computer.”
If I enter the password and click "Obtain Connection", I am taken to another page that says that I can now access the Internet, blah blah blah... and another button that says "Release Connection".
First of all, it does not seem like that should be happnening, but no big deal as it takes 5 seconds out of my day to work around. The bigger problem is that only one computer can be connected to the Internet at a time. If a friend with another laptop comes over and tries to access the Internet at the same time as me, he will get the same Earthlink page popping up. If he enters the password, he will kick off the first computer and on and on and on...
I called Elink support and they, of course, told me it is a TC issue. I called Apple and they, of course, told me it is an ISP issue. I suspect that it has something to do with my TC settings (bridge mode, maybe?), but have no idea what I am doing there.
Anyone have any ideas for me? I have friends coming into town this weekend and we won't be able to share stupid YouTube clips as efficiently with only one computer!

There is nothing you can do.. if you want more than one device connected then you must double NAT. This is common practice with Satellite providers.. I am not sure why they cannot afford to buy a block of public IP.. maybe it is deliberate to prevent people using servers.
Just select ignore in the airport utility.. for the double NAT problem.. this is the equivalent to sticking your head in the ground and therefore your problems don't exist. (your opponents cannot see you if you have a bird brain!!) Of course when the opportunity comes up.. move. Go to fibre or 3g/4g with a reliable ISP who hands out public IP. Until then tighten your belt.. short commons are the order of the day.

Resetting Airport Extreme disabled my home network. Now when i attempt to get to internet with iPad, or iPhone, I see an Earthlink (ISP) window with message: The internet connection is currently in use by another computer (nun.nn.n.nn) Enter your DSL Account logon psassword to switch the internet connection to this computer. If I do that, other messages follow. I am usually able to switch connection, but can have only one device on internet at a time. Tried to correct problem using Airport Utility, but failed.

Unfortunately, there is mass confusion about whether a device might be a modem or a modem/router since the terms are mixed up all the time. Even though a device might have only one Ethernet port, it can still be a router.
    If this is your "modem".......
    http://reviews.cnet.com/routers/netopia-cayman-3341-router/4507-3319_7-30484785. html
It is not a modem.....it is a modem/router. If that is the case, then the AirPort Extreme is not the only router on your network....it is one of two routers, and it should be configured to operate in Bridge Mode.
Does this device appear to be your "modem"?

  • The internet connection is currently in use by another computer

I am trying to replace my old linksys router with Airport Express. I can get it connected and and I can access the internet on my MacBook but when I try to use WiFi on my iPad, I get the message "The Internet connection is currently in use by another computer (172.16.1.11)" from Earthlink, my ISP.
I have a Netopia modem from Earthlink. My MacBookPro is running OSX 10.9.4.
I understand that I need to have the AirPort Express look like the only device attached to the Netopia modern, and then the AirPort Express will handle multiple devices' connections correctly (MacBook Pro, iPad, iPhone). I just can't figure out how to set this up.

There is nothing you can do.. if you want more than one device connected then you must double NAT. This is common practice with Satellite providers.. I am not sure why they cannot afford to buy a block of public IP.. maybe it is deliberate to prevent people using servers.

  • Error message WMC604 in VZAM when trying to connect to 4G using Novatel USB551L.

VZAM recognizes the modem, and attempts to connect to 4G. After about 10 seconds, a message appears,"Error WMC604, Device could not establish a connection". (I have no problem connecting to 3G, just 4G)
One clue: If I have "Control Panel>Network Connections>Novotel 551L open when I try to connect, I can watch (if I am connecting to 3G) the modem aquire an IP address and connect. If I am connecting to 4G, there is no such activity shown on Control Panel>Network Connections>Novatel 551L modem. It just does nothing until the error message appears in VZAM. It's as if VZAM is not communicating with the modem although during this time VZAM displays a message "connecting".
I have created a dial-up connection in Windows 7 according to the Verizon knowledge base article ID=29355 just so I could use 4G, and the modem connects and works just fine. I just wish I get it to connect to 4G using VZAM.
I am using VZAM version v7.6.3.1(2642f) and one of the things that VZ tech support suggested was replace the SIM card, but that didn't make any difference. I am using Dell XPS 8300 desktop running Win 7 Home Premium,SP1 currently, although problem is the same on my Dell 5160 laptop running Win XP, SP3.
Hoping someone here on this board can help. I have spent hours on the phone with Verizon tech support and they say they have never heard of this error, and have no clue how to make it go away. In checking Google, I see that it is in fact a fairly common error in VZAM, but no one seems to know how to fix it......Verizon reps on the board feel free to come to my rescue?
    HELP!!!!

Thank you for your reply. I checked Device Manager for conflicts and see none. I opened VZAM and Device Manager>Novatel Modem side-by-side on the screen and attemped to connect to 4G using VZAM while watching Device Manager for conflicts. There were none indicated when the WMC604 error appeared in VZAM. According to Device Manager, my Novatel modem driver is version 1.1.12.0 ; dated 12/8/10. The "update driver" button is grayed out so I don't know how to check for a newer version. This version is the one that came on the VZAM install CD I belive.
Some background about this problem: When I first got this modem and installed the software, it worked as it should. It came up in Global mode and connected to a weak 4G signal that was comming from the Portland OR airport. Because the signal was weak and un-reliable, the modem would constantly shift back to 3G, and then every few minutes back to 4G, over and over. I got tired of putting up with the constant hunting, and, using the diagnostic screen, locked it into EVDO mode until 4G went live in Portland OR in the middle of June. During the time it was in EVDO (3G) mode, I had no problem connecting to 3G using VZAM. When Portland went live, I locked it back to LTE mode, and that was when I discovered the error WMC604 message. This was using my previous computer, a Dell Dimension 4500 desktop, Win XP,SP3, and an external Wilson log-periodic tri-band antenna.  Since Portland went live, my current RSSI for 4G runs around -68db, and SINR varies between -9 to -12 db.
I recently got my present computer, a Dell XPS-8300 desktop, Core i7, Win 7 Home Premium, SP1. I did a fresh install of VZAM on this new computer using the CD that came with the USB551L modem and then checked online (using 3G) for VZAM updates. It says I have the latest version.  The problem is exactly the same on the new computer as it was on my other 2 computers. That tells me that the problem must lie with the modem firmware or hardware, because the problem follows the modem, no matter what computer it is hooked up to. I even took it back to the Verizon store where I got it and they hooked it up to one of their computers and got the same error message when trying to connect to 4G. 3G worked properly
As I mentioned before, the modem instantly connects to 4G using the Win 7 dial-up connection I created and gives pretty good speeds, about 10MB down and 4-5MB up, according to SpeedCheck.com.
I can use it the way it is, it is just frustrating that it won't work using VZAM.
Thank you for your attention and help,
    Inst_Tech

    Hi,
I'm trying to change email address on my Apple ID since the email registered for the account has been hacked and I can't access it anymore. The email I want to change to is connected to another Apple ID I created about 4 years ago, though I successfully changed the email on that account as well. So the email I would like to use for my main Apple ID shouldn't be "locked" anymore.
Though, when trying to change the email on my Apple ID I get an error message (in Swedish, so this is a direct translate from google): "This e-mail address is your email address for notification. It can not be used as the Apple ID or primary email. Choose a different address."
I'm not really sure what this means or how I can fix this.
It means exactly what it says... The email Address is in Use. You cannot re-use it.

I hope someone can tell me the preferred way to get passed this message in respect to connecting to ATV speakers via iTunes on the computer.
I want to use multiple speakers via iTunes in my computer.
But when I try to connect to the speakers assigned to the ATV, I get the above "The remote speaker [name] is currently being used by someone else" message.
What do I need to do (in the ATV) to make the speakers accessible when this happens?

have you tried the obvious things first like restarting both the appletv and itunes ?

    Me too (on OSX 10.5.7)
SQLDeveloper was working okay with different connections (except for the inability to cancel any active query!).
Started using DBVisualizer for a while but came back to SQLDeveloper after realising that I couldn't ask for an execution plan. Perhaps my SQL Developer has been affected by the installation of another program's drivers?
Unfortunately, now, SQLDeveloper gives me the "Connection currently busy" error, and when check the connection Properties and ask it to Test the connection, it says
'Failure - Test failed io exception: Invalid connection string format, a valid format is "host:port:sid'
Upgrading to the latest release (1.5.5.59.69) made no difference.
Same for all my Oracle connections in SQL Developer, but the same settings still work if I launch DBVisualizer instead (NB I'm not running them concurrently).
Is it possible that SQL Developer is picking up an incompatible JDBC jar somewhere on my system - where can I see which driver SQL Developer has chosen to use?
Despite setting the preferences to log to file, no such file is being created, and the only diagnostic info I can provide is the STDERR output that occurs when I finally quit SQL Developer:

If it's showing the connect to iTunes screen then you will need to do that.
But Apple don't provide any method to update the first gen iPad to iOS 5 (nor do they support downgrading the iOS version).

  • Multithread Voltage/Current Check using 2sets of DMM

    Hi..
I need some fresh idea on how to solve my problems. I've been using Labview for about 3years now.
Currently I'm trying to modify my current VI for multithread check. Last time my VI can read from only one Digital Multimeter (DMM) and now i want it to be able to read from 2 sets of DMM so that the process can run in parallel & execution become faster. Have any experts out there tried this method before. Some suggest me to put the block diagram in parallel so that the data can be execute at the same time. Is this true?
I've read through all the thread but can't found the answer I'm looking for. There are suggestions from others to use TestStand but I'm not familiar on how to use them. Plus I don't want to make big modifications on my current hardware designs.
Attached together is sample of my current VI using only 1DMM. I welcome all to give any suggestion and opinion for easy way to perform multithread check for my case. I'm using Labview 8.5 so please let me know if you can't open them.
    Thanks and Regards,

    To Kate & Dennis,
Sorry for the trouble. I forgot to remove the password. You may unlock using this password "mepowerrr'. Can you guys give me suggestion based on my current block diagram.
Btw, I connect to DMM using USB and GPIB through VISA. I control the DMM by creating an instrument file within my application. The instrument file is different for each DMM. Try to make my program suitable for all type of DMM (Agilent, Tectronics & Fluke). Now I just worried thinking if its possible to do multithread check on my application.
Is there an easy to do this?

  • Error "all tv tuners are currently in use"

Hi, I'm running 8.1 pro with media centre, using a known brand card, i cannot type it here as it comes up as a link, which microsoft wont allow, its a dual satellite tuner from tbs the model is 6981, with latest windows 8 drivers for that card.
However, if I'm recording a HD channel, I cannot seem to watch another hd channel at the same time, I can watch non hd channels, when a HD channel is recording. I get this message, all available tuners are currently in use (to which i can stop the recording)
I see there is a hotfix for this for W7 ultimate, which i tried for 8.1 but received an error message. Its a dual tuner!
    So far,
    1. I cannot record HD AND watch HD at same time.
    2. If I want to record a non HD channel, and watch a HD channel at the same time, If have to be on a HD channel first, then press record on the non-HD channel. If press record on the non-HD channel first,
then go to a HD channel (second), i get the conflict issue, but not the other way around.
I have just noticed in edit sources for the HD channels, only one source is available, there should be two, I am not able to split the source, so perhaps my issue is this?
    The tuner is working properly.
I also use EPG collector to load the data into MCE8, ive been on that forum, and im assured by the maker of that program, that its nothing to do with EPG collector.
    Any ideas?
My specs:8.1 pro with MCE 8

its a dual satellite tuner from tbs the model is 6981, with latest windows 8 drivers for that card.
    Hi,
Did you mean that, this TV tuner support two tuner at the same time when you using WMC watching TV?
According to the contents about WMC below:
With a single TV tuner connected to your computer, you can watch or record live TV in Media Center on only one channel at a time. With two TV tuners or a dual-tuner device connected to your computer, you can do the following:
Watch live TV on one channel while recording a show on a different channel.
Record two different TV shows that are on two different channels at the same time.
Watch a previously recorded show and record live shows on two different channels at the same time.
Note: you can access to the link below for more details about:
What should I know before adding TV tuners to use with Windows Media Center?
In my opinion, it should be the TV tunner card problem, it would be better to contact its support for further assistance about this problem.

  • Net_rim_bb_appworld is currently in use

Some time ago I tried to install bb app world to my BB8900. The installation failed because I don't have data connection purchased and WiFi doesn't work with this app onmy phone. I just tried to delete it from my BB8900 and I got the warning: "net_rim_bb_appworld is currently in use. Are you sure you want to delete it?" I'm sure I'm not using it right now, even more - it can't be used because of the limitations implemented by RIM. What's going on? Is my BB8900 using some modules from this app and it can be safely removed or there is something that I'm not aware about?

Check the below location. If it's installed in your device then it must be listed there. Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> BlackBerry App World.
If It's listed there then highlight  BlackBerry App World and click Menu ->  Delete.

  • Unable to connect to Oracle using OS authentication (sqlplus / as sysdba)

    Hello,
When I try to connect locally ,using OS authentication ( sqlplus / as sysdba ), on a Oracle database, I get "ORA-01031: insufficient privileges" error.
    OS: Windows XP
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Prod.
connecting as sysdba using sys/pasword works.
    I have setup :
-> Log on as a batch job
-> Log on as a service
I am also member of ORA_DBA group.
I mention that connecting "/ as sysdba" worked many months after I've installed the Oracle database. But at some moment in time connecting "/ as sysdba" was no longer possible.

    Thank you for any suggestion.

    Hi,
I have the same issues from the beginning..
I have two Oracle homes ( One for earlier installed SOA10g, and another for current installing SOA11g).
I have the right sqlora.net file. I have removed the old path and reset to point the new oracle home. I have this home entry as the first entry in my Universal installer too.
I AM ABLE TO CONNECT WITH sys USER AS SYSDBA on THE SAME SYSTEM ( I MEAN WHERE i INSTALLED THE DATABASE) USING THE command prompt.
But I am not able to connect as the SYSDBA with sys ACCOUNT through the SQLDeveloper tool. or RCU tool? Any help please. Again I am able to connect as a normal user through the SQL developer using the SYSTEM account.
