Connector program

Hi all,
I'm trying to register a .NET program in SAP gateway. But when it gets registered it is registered wwith the below attributes
TP Name: aspnet_w
Syst type: NORMAL_CLIENT
Status: Connection pending
But I connected with the follwing parameters
-aRfcServer -gSAP -xsapgw00
As a result I'm unable to set it as an RFC dest using registration catogary. I guess the syst type should be register_tp. How can I make a program of type register_tp. why isn't the pgm registered with the pgm ID that i specified?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks in advance.
Ananda

You still have the same problem for such a long period now? Sorry to hear that.
Are you sure that you are using a SAPServer inherited class and not a SAPClient inherited one?

  • How does the cloud connector work at the back end?

    Hi Everyone,
As i am new to the Cloud connectors i am curious to know how connectors work.
Can any one help me understand how the cloud connector (program builder) step calls the custom logic that is written to perform an external action. I beleive that we need to create a configuration page that is plugged in the Cloud connector step, where credentials, field mapping etc are configured. I guess the custom logic is not included in the Configuration page.
What next! Does this information get stored in the external database and based on the unique instancename and program builder step ID these configurations are retreived.
Also, hitting the "configure" button in the Cloud connector step opens the URL that is set up in the Cloud Connector manager. So, when the contacts flow through this step how do they get processed? While the configuration page is configured in the step but not the Custom Logic URL.
    Thanks,
    Shashank Sharma

    Hi Shashank!
    I am happy to help!
You are correct that Cloud Connectors leverage Program Builder and have a separate configuration setup page that handles login authentication and customization of the specific Connector.  However, each connector can have a drastically different configuration within the configuration page.  Which Cloud Connector(s) are you looking to set up?  Let me know which Connector I can help you with and I will post a walk-through with screenshots for that specific example.  Hopefully that will help!
To clarify your comments in the meantime:
Based on your selected Eloqua Instance name, login authentication (for connector login), and other attributes, the information will be automatically pulled from the chosen Cloud Connector and stored in Eloqua (usually on the contact record).  Depending on what connector you are using, you may want to create custom fields on the contact record to store this new information that is being transferred from the connector service (ie Webex attendance information).  Keep in mind that all of the information that you bring into Eloqua will still reside on the Cloud Connector Service/Company’s servers as well.
Again – feel free to let me know which Cloud Connectors you are looking at and I can send over a more specific walk-through on how they work and how to configure them.
    Talk to you soon,

  • Windows Server Essentials Connector issue

I cannot get the computer connector program to complete successfully. Had to add my 6 Pcs manually through the Properties screen on the PCs.  As a result, Computers are not listed on the Anywhere Access screen and no-one can remote into their PC.
I have both, a self-signed certificate for the servername.domainname.local and a purchased certificate for the public domain on the server.
here is the computerconnector log and the clientdeployment log:

  • How to interchange data between Java Program and C++ Program

I constructed a java program using netbeans IDE that has ability to connect with a respective DLL; I want to connect and interchange data between my java program(.jar) and VSC++ program(.exe) through DLLs.JNI uses single Dll to invoke C/C++ function in native manner,In order to increase the efficiency I tried to connect and interchange primitive data types between Java program and C++ program using that DLL(JNI implemented).
Unfortunately C++ program cannot obtain data values that has been changed by Java Program. For example - If I declare a global int variable in DLL,java program can catch that int variable and can update it but If I run my C++ program(exe) loading same DLL simultaneously it cannot receive the updated value of that int variable declared in the DLL.
Therefore I need a solution to share/Interchange at least primitive data and their respective values between a JAVA and C++ Program using JNI (in spite of date transferring through Sockets).JAVA TO C/C++ & C/C++ to JAVA using DLLs.
    (TWO WAY COMMUNICATION)
    JAVA.jar  <=> <JNI> <=> DLL <=> [Connector Program C/C++] <=> C/C++ .exe
    PLEASE HELP ME!! THANK YOU

What in the are you trying to say? What does "filled into the servlet mean?" Is the map somewhere outside the servlet? In a different process? Are you asking how to extract data from a map? Something else?
Sorry, but your question makes no sense.

  • Name-to-IP-Address-Resolution Problem

We recently installed a small Windows Server 2012 Essentials network.  We are experiencing a persistent problem with one (and only one) of the workstations.  We had to install/remove/reinstall the "connector" software on this machine
because of profile migration problems.  It was a standalone Windows 7 laptop prior to joining the network.  That was also the case for the other workstations, but their profile conversions went through smoothly the first time we ran the "connector"
    software.
The actual IP address of this machine is 192.168.1.11 (based on IPCONIG run on the machine, data from the router's connected devices table, etc.).  The machine name is PANASONIC.  However, for some reason, the Win 2012 server links the PANASONIC
computer to the IP of 192.168.1.4 (rather than 11). This incorrect value is present in the server's DNS client resolver cache (as displayed by IPCONFIG /displaydns when run on the server). Even when I purged the DNS resolver cache (IPCONFIG /FlushDNS). The
incorrect pairing of PANASONIC with 192.168.1.4 keeps coming back.  By the way, there are no additional entries in the HOSTS file on either the server or the workstation (they are the standard blank Windows HOSTS files).
As you know, Windows 2012 Essentials provides a DNS role to the 2012E server.  So I thought I would check the data there (Administrative Tools > DNS > Forward Lookup Zones > actual domain name).  I found the Panasonic listed there.
Under properties was an IP address field of 192.168.1.4 with a "timestamp" date of 12-23-2013, which is when we initially added the workstation to the 2012E network.  Perhaps that was the IP value initially obtained on the first run of the "connector"
    program.
This incorrect name/IP pairing has caused a number of problems (including the inability to use Remote Web Workplace to connect to this workstation, which we can do with all of the other machines on this network).
To solve the problem, should I manually change the IP address value in the DNS settings described above for the Panasonic machine?  If so, should I also check the "update associated pointer (PTR) record" box?
If this is not the correct solution to the problem, can you suggest anything else I can do to resolve this persistent difficulty?  Sorry if these are obvious questions, but DNS is not my area of expertise.
    Thanks very much.

  • CFM files downloading instead of processing

I have an IIS7 Windows 2008 server that was running ColdFusion 9 Standard just fine.  We're trying to update it to ColdFusion 10 Standard.  However, despite multiple re-installs, CFM files always download instead of serving properly.  Here are the things I have confirmed.
All the necessary IIS services/features are installed per the Adobe documentation
The ISAPI filter and handler mappings are getting added in IIS and pointing to the correct CF10 filter.
We have run the Connector program, removed CF and re-added CF to the sites, with no change in behavior.
If we remove CF10 from the site, and then run the CF9 connector and connect CF9 it works great.  As soon as we switch to CF10, though, it just will not execute CFM files.
One other odd thing... I noticed that the MIME type of cfm file when downloaded in /msdownload.  Even if we manually enter a text/html MIME type for cfm files (which shouldn't be necessary) it still comes down as /msdownload.
My theory on this is that some process is intercepting the request before it gets to ColdFusion/Tomcat.  Not sure why it happens with CF10 but not with CF9.
Thanks for any advice you may have.

    Hi,
It often depends on the website serving the videos. If they specify the wrong MIME type for the file then Safari will treat it as a regular binary file and download it.
Can you give examples of sites where you see the differing behaviour?

  • Automated process to get files from iScala System to GRC system

    Hi,
iScala connector program run on local iscala servers.files are zipped up and place on ftp sites to download.once downloaded basis team copy the contents of zip files to IN Directory on GRC server.comparision utility is then run to move the files from IN directory to OUT directory.data extractors for each iScala connector are then run.Once extractors are done job scheduled to update the management report.i need more automated manner process and easy way process.
    Thanks

As mentioned by Alpesh, for non RTA system there isn't any automated way to load data to GRC apart from using RAR Data extraction functionality.
However you can look into possibility of using Greenlight technologyu2019s solutions to see if they provide any RTA to iScala system. They have about 25+ out of box RTAs to different non-SAP systems. Also they have RTA Design Studio which you can use to create a custom RTA specific to your ERP/Legacy application.

  • Multi-Valued Complex Value

I'm working on a custom resource adapter that will connect to a resource with the following structure.
    user1
    firstname:string
    lastname:string
    middlename:string
    aliases
    alias1
    firstname:string
    lastname:string
    middlename:string
    alias2
    firstname:string
    lastname:string
    middlename:string
    aliasN
    firstname:string
    lastname:string
    middlename:string
What is the proper way to implement this in the adapter? I'm especially interested in setting up the prototypeXML properly. My thought is to use a multivalued attribute for aliases and then combine the firstname, lastname, and middlename of each alias into a single delimited value string to be parsed by the IDM forms. Is there a better way?
    Thanks

If you're using IDM 8.0 or up I'd really suggest you use resource connectors. The connector programming interface is significantly easier to use than the resource adapter interface.
If you're stuck in the resource adapter framework then you're pretty much limited to the basic data types an adapter supports, integers, strings and lists (arraylists to be exact). It's not really possible to add complex data types without hacking in your own technique, like you suggested as comma delimiting the data.

  • Modify MastHead with Designation

    Hi,
I am aware of process required to make Modifications to MastHead. Now suppose, I want to show the Designation of the User along with their name on SAP Portal MastHead, how do i go about. There is an HeaderIview.jsp file needed to be modified for this. Can anyone suggest me the easy way around ?
Ideally, we would write a connector program to talk to a R/3 RFC to give this detail. Should it be done this way or can I modify existing standard code (If any for this ) to get this details.
Would it affect performance on my Portal ?
    Regards,
    Murali.

    Hi Murali,
As far as I know the only way to do this is to modify the HeaderIview.jsp
If you are worried about performance, then implement a service which will cache the designations of the users, so that DB access does not happen on every refresh.

Hi, I need some information urgently. My friend owns the Asus M4A79 Deluxe motherboard. I'ts about 2 weeks old now, and he tried to mod his BIOS. It failed, because he didn't follow my precise instructions. Now, he has nothing more than a piece of paper, it's dead.
Is there anyone that can tell me where I can find the EEPROM of my MSI P35 Platinum motherboard? Where is the EEPROM located on the MS-7345 motherboard? I know it'll be an 8-pin IC, which is soldered to the board.
My idea is to do a hotflash, i want to desolder my BIOS chip & solder a IC holder to the board, then, use my mobo as an EEPROM Programmer. I don't want to disasemble my whole PC just to find out that the EEPROM is integrated in the chipset, so if possible, can anyone tell me wheter the MSI P35 Platinum has an EEPROM located on the board & where exactly can I find it?

I was wondering, isn't it possible to connect his BIOS chip to my motherboard's JSPI1 connector & program it from there?
I highly doubt that.  But even if that was possible, how would you want to establish communication from (let's say) DOS to whatever you connect to the JSPI1 header?
    Quote
but it's not 100% straight forward, I'll have to read up on this.
I am sure, you will figure it out.
    Quote
Also, I'll build the LPT circuit as soon as I have time, but with which tool will I reprogram the chip with?
Oh, you will definately find it, once you do some reading (there are direct links to it in the articles I pointed you to).  However, here is a link to the English Download Site of the Czech Programmer that made it:
    http://www.volny.cz/rayer/programm/programe.htm
Scroll down until you see a tool called SPIPGM in the list.
When I used the an older version of the tool (after building the described SPI Cable) to reprogram the BIOS Chip of my P45 Platinum after a bad flash, the tool did not entirely support the chip yet (Macronix MX25L3205 in my case).  However, it was able to detect it anyway (FlashROM JEDEC ID: EF3016h) and when it does not know its size it will simply prompt you to enter it.
An additional alternativ, which may actually be the fastest way to fix things, would be to simply order a new chip and have it programmed for you with a working BIOS Image.  I don't know where you live and what places there are near you that offer this kind of service.  Over here in Germany, I know at least one place that does this kind of stuff:
    http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bios-fix.de%2Fcatalog%2Fproduct_info.php%3FcPath%3D1_28%26products_id%3D139

I was considering to use an old ATi Graphics Card as an EEPROM Programmer, since it also has an 8-pin EEPROM with the exact same pinout. The hardware is not problem, I can quickly assemble it, but the software would be the problem, ATi's tools wont program an 8-megabit (1 megabyte) BIOS chip?
Another thing, the LAN ROM of the P35 Platinum, that can also be used?
No idea, never tried that nor have I ever thought about it.

1.) The 3.3V are connected to 3 pins (WP, Vcc & HLD)
    Yep.

2.) There are 4 resistors, 150-ohm? or is it 150-kohm?
    150 Ohm

  • BRMS Connector - Calling from ABAP program

    Hi,
I got some error when I changed the BRFPlus from decision table to BRMS connector when calling it from an ABAP program.
Is there any difference in the calling of those BRFs from ABAP to get the data?
    Thanks!

    Hi Carsten:
There are documents in SCN on how to call a BRFPlus from a webdynpro.  Is the call to a BRFPlus Function from a CRM-BSP very different?  I mean, in the Webdynpro documents we found in SCN, they use the terms: controller, methods and classed, which are also terms used in BSPs, hence out of our ignorance we assume there should not be much of a difference.
It is important to clarify that I am not a developer, but this is all to get an idea whether the scenario is totally different, or to know if what we are trying to accomplish is not possible, which I doubt.
Any help or link is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Juan

  • Programming restrictions for JCA (Java Connector Architecture)

I need to know programming restrictions for JCA (Java Connector Architecture) from a Client program's perspective. Could somebody help my?

If you are on the client side of JCA you just have to use the resource adapter implementation. Therefore client code is limited to the package javax.resource.cci. So I think there are no restriction from JCA itself.
What technique you use on client side to connect to the resource adapter is up to you and "just" have to follow the restriction in that area.

  • Unable to load database connector - using JRC w/report connecting to Oracle

A simple Java program was created to test a Crystal Report using JRC. The Java program is a thick-client Swing desktop application (modified from an example of crxi_r2_migrating_rdc_to_jrc.pdf). The program failed to execute the report with the following error:
Unable to load database connector u2018com.crystaldecisions.reports.queryengine.driverImpl.DriverLoader'
It might be something simple to correct the problem, but I am not able to find related answers in the documentation and from the forum.
CR version is XI R2. The Java program was compiled and run using jdk1.4.2_13. Oracle is 10.2.
Do I have to use JDBC? or the CR Oracle driver will do? What needs to be setup? If I use JDBC, what do I need to setup (I tried to following the links in the forums or other documentation, but most of the links to http://support.businessobjects.com/.... are broken - i.e. re-route to the SAP support page but not directly linked to the articles)
When the report JRCTestReport.rpt was saved with the option "Save Data With Report", it works fine. So the problem is only with Oracle database driver, the other jars are fine.
In the report JRCTestReport.rpt the database properties are:
           DatabaseDLL             crdb_oralce.dll
           Password
           Server                        myTestDB
           Trusted_Connection    False
           User ID                      MyUser
    The crdb_oracle.dll is located at:

    Please I need some help.
I have a K7T Turbo Limited Edition Motherboard 6330 V.30 .  It came with the P2P USB Bracket and the D-Bracket.
I can only find one place on the motherboard for a USB connector, how am I supposed to install these?  Is there a mismarked motherboard pinout?
My Motherboard manual says it has a connectors for 6 USB ports.
I have 2 near the PS2 connectors built in, the D-Bracket has 2, the P2P has 2 which = 6, but I can't find a place to plug the brackets into the motherboard.

    Hi
According to the MSI site for the K7T Turbo Limited Edition, your motherboard only supports 4 USB connections.
You can use a USB PCI card to obtain more if needed.
