Connectors For IBM Websphere

Hi all,
Please guide me on how to access through the WAS, the applications deployed on a WebSphere Application Server, without manually porting the EAR files and stuff.
I believe there might be some connectors.
Your help will be appreciated.
Thanx in advance.
Regards,
Sandip

You will need to check out service.sap.com/connectors or maybe it's connector without s.
You're looking for the JCo connector.

  • LiveCycle ES Connector for IBM Content Manager connection problem

I've recently installed Adobe LiveCycle ES 8.2.1 and we're trying to get the Connector for IBM CM working. First off here's what software levels we're using:
    LiveCycle ES 8.2.1
    WebSphere Network Deployment 6.1.0.21
    IBM HTTP Server 6.1.0.21
    IBM DB2 UDB 9.1(FP 6a)
    IBM Content Manager 8.4
IBM Information Integrator for Content 8.4
    Java JRE 1.5(SR 8a)
Our application(s) connect to our databases remotely. The DBs reside on our z/OS(which is at level 8.1)
When I try and enter in the database/datastore info in the Connector fields under services I get this error in LiveCycle
    Failed to save settings.
Error: Not able to validate the connection with the IBM CM. Either credentials or database is wrong. For more information see the exception stack trace.

    Nick,
I am getting the exact same error. I have tried installing Adobe Livecycle 8 on two separate machines and they both give the same problem. In viewing at the logs, it seems that the IBM CM jar files are not being recognized by the Adobe installation. For me, I get the following logs as well in addition to what you see.

The DKDDO class is in the jar files that are inside II4C installation folder. I think that the file "adobe-component-ext.properties" that they ask us to create to reference the IBM CM jars is not being picked up by the Adobe Connectors for IBM CM. Do you see the " java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError" in your logs? Any resolutions you had regarding this.
I even tried to copy the ibm jars to various paths and copied the props files ad various different locations. I am under the impression that the documentation may not have been updated for this change.

sas.client.props /soap.client.props two file how to Configuration ??

From your description, since the agent installs file with a different JRE, I would suspect it has something to do with the availability of JCE provider in the first JRE. By default, WebSphere's JRE is equipped with IBM JCE provider which is what the agent uses to encrypt the necessary
information. If this provider is not configured correctly it could result in the error that you are seeing. Please check the WebSphere installation and make sure that the JRE used by it has the necessary IBM JCE provider configured. The java.security file for this should contain something like:
    security.provider.1=sun.security.provider.Sun
    security.provider.2=com.ibm.crypto.provider.IBMJCE
    security.provider.3=com.ibm.jsse.IBMJSSEProvider
    security.provider.4=com.ibm.security.cert.IBMCertPath
    security.provider.5=com.ibm.crypto.pkcs11.provider.IBMPKCS11
Also, make sure that when you are installing the agent you specify the Java Home as prompted by the agent to point to the location where this JRE is installed. Typically this is under WebSphere/AppServer/java directory. HTH, Jerry

It may be worth setting up a little java test program to try out your settings and see if you can recreate the problem in an environment where you have more control.
Are you sure that the messages are TextMessages?

  • Report links in Crystal Reports portlet for IBM Websphere 6.0

    Hi,
We have some problem when we try to use BusinessObjects XI Release 2 Java Portal Integration Kit for WebSphere (http://ftp1.businessobjects.com/outgoing/products/pik/BusinessObjectsPortlets.zip), that was downloaded from http://www.businessobjects.com/products/downloadcenter/boepik.asp.
This portlet configured for work with Crystal Reports Server XI Release 2 Service Pack 2.
The portal server that we use is IBM WebSphere Portal Server 6.0.
In Portlet interface we can see list of reports on Crystal Reports server, but links for this reports lead us from browser window direct to Crystal Reports Server without Portal links rewriting. It is problem because we have access to Crystal Reports Server only from Portal Server computer. It is not accessible from users computers due to security reasons and network restrictions. Coud you help us and provide some advices how to configure this portlet in way to show reports through Portal?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards
    B.M.

Here is a list of all the communication types available. You must enter them as a comma seperated list. I personally hard code them in the WEB-INF/portlet.xml and then redeply the BOportlet.war file. If you don't want to do that, you should be able to add them by logging in to the Webspere Portal admin interface.
    Portlet Management>Portlets>Document List>Configure Portlet>Page 2 edit the Communication Types.
CrystalReport, Analysis, Webi, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Pdf, Txt, Rtf, MyInfoView, AFDashboardPage, Analytic, FullClient
I am also attaching a snippet of my portlet.xml where I added the comunication types in there.
Once these are added, when you run/view a report in the document list portlet, the report will open in the document view portlet.
Let me know if this helps.

  • Does OIM Connector for Lotus Notes support Domino certification authority?

Lotus Notes allows an Organization to register servers and users without stamping each server ID and user ID if you have migrated the certifier to a Domino server-based certification authority (CA).
A Customer has done such a migration to a server-based certification authority (CA), and therefore they have set up Notes and Internet certifiers to use the CA process.
So, now this Customer does not require access to the certifier ID and ID password.
Having enabled certifiers for the CA process, they can now assign the registration authority role to administrators, who can then register users and manage certificate requests without having to provide the certifier ID and password.
My question is: is this compatible with the requirements of Oracle Identity Manager Connector for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino Release 9.0.4, that, among other parameters, requires to specify CertPath (Complete file specification of the certifier ID to be used when creating certifier ID files) and CertPwd (Password of the certifier ID file)?
    Regards,
    Angelo Carugati

I quite new with OIM, but not at all... For sure, I need to configure a connector for Lotus Notes / Domino.
The main points in my question are (USING A connector for Lotus Notes / Domino):
    - How can I create 1 user account (and related data), on different servers (IT Resources), with different "mail templates", when the data should be the same, and the user mail database, should only be a replica on the the 2nd server
    - Maybe, I need to configure 2 distincts IT Resources, and run both (through Provisioning Policies), when I need to provision a user, as described in my scenario (above), right?
    - In the 2nd server, I dont want the user to be created with a new mail database (neither new user data, as shortName, IDfile... ).
I want that same data, and a replicated mail DB is generated on the 2nd server (webmail server)
Is it possible, how can I configure this within OIM connector for Lotus Notes / Domino?

  • IBM WebSphere App.Server 3.5 StdEd + Oracle 8i for repository ?

I want to install IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) 3.5 Std
but I don't have a DB to hold the repository.
One of the possible DB mentionned in the install doc is ORACLE
8i but I have no experience whatsoever with this line of
    products.
I would like to hear of people running such a config.
    Any tips, do's and don't ?
Is it a stable, recommended configuration to start with ?
    E.G.:
    WAS 3.5 standard on Win2000
    + ORACLE 8i as a repository DB
    + AS400 serving corporate data
    Thanks for your help,
    Frederic.
PS - I know DB2 is another possibility but I would like to skip
    that one for some reasons.

    Matt :
I eventually chose to keep the InstantDB repository because
someone told me it would be fine for a small web application.
One thing I am wondering about though : IBM doc mentions Oracle
8i but on the Oracle site they mention 9i only so
    - where do you find the 8i ?
    - is the 9i fine too ?
    - what edition is acceptable ? the cost for the personal/pro
etc. licences do vary quite a lot so which is the cheapest
    acceptable one ?
I am still looking for that info.
    Any hint ?
    Thanks !

  • Are there specific reasons for choosing Oracle A/S 10g OVER IBM Websphere ?

Our company runs a number of Oracle applications and currently supports both the IBM Websphere and Oracle
10g A/S application servers. We use Oracle A/S to run Oracle Forms/Reports, as
well as to interface from Oracle Advanced Queues (A/Q) to the outside world
(with JMS over A/Q). The idea being floated is to use Oracle A/S only for our
Forms/Reports server and IBM Websphere for everything else. Is there any
    downside to this ?
Is there anything Oracle A/S can do that IBM Websphere cannot ?
Would any features of Oracle A/Q not be accessible when using WebSphere ?
We are also planning to use Oracle Workflow. Would there be any advantages to using Oracle A/S over Websphere ?

'Fraid I'm not experienced in running Oracle products with Websphere but I'd have thought that the most obvious reason to use OAS would be that (theoretically at least!) AQ and Oracle Workflow should be better integrated into OAS and also recieve better support from Oracle if you are using OAS as your apps server rather than another vendor's product. The risk is that you might get into a situation where something doesn't work and Oracle say it's Websphere, phone IBM and IBM say it's AQ - phone Oracle.

  • JMS Receiver Adapter - com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory

    Hello experts,
I am trying to configure JMS Adapter to Access Websphere Application Server via JNDI. The configuration is as follow:

    Connection Factory: jms/messageQueueCF
    Server URL: iiop://ammtnode.iubs.intra:2809/

I deployed all required jar files but Iu2019m still unable to connect to WAS because adapter cannot initialize ORB:

  • Connecting different versions of MQ Ibm Websphere using PI 7.1

    Hi Experts,
We are having one mq server which is installed on a third party system which we are currenlty using without having any issues.
the mq series is ibm websphere version 6.
we have these following jar files installed on pi.
    <jars>
    <jar-name>lib/com.sap.aii.adapter.lib_api.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/ojdbc14.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/client.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/msbase.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/mssqlserver.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/msutil.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/com.ibm.mq.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/com.ibm.mqjms.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/connector.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/CL3Export.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/CL3Nonexport.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/dhbcore.jar</jar-name>
    <jar-name>lib/rmm.jar</jar-name>
    </jars>
we are able to connect to this system sucessfully using jms.
the issue we are facing now is we have now another new mq server installed which we want to use
this is version ibm websphere 5.3.
we have gone through sap notes and found that these jar files need to be in place for 5.3
    MQSeries 5.3
    com.ibm.mq.jar
    com.ibm.mqbind.jar
    com.ibm.mqjms.jar
connector.jar (this file can also be retrieved from the SAP J2EE server directory)
by comparing with the jar files we currenlty have installed
this jar file is missing com.ibm.mqbind.jar for 5.3
we are unable to connect to this new mq server and facing the issues.(reciever jms)
    the message in rwb is
Error creating JMS connection. JMS provider gave error message as MQJMS2005: failed to create MQQueueManager for 'Servername:Queuemangername' MQJE001: An MQException occurred: Completion Code 2, Reason 2009
MQJE016: MQ queue manager closed channel immediately during connect
Closure reason = 2009, and error code as MQJMS2005.
we have gone through notes 1086303 and found that it might be due to wrong queuemanager name.
our mq team is saying that they have configured everything perfectly.
what we have is now 2 queries:
    1. is this error caused due to the mqbind jar file missing.if so than we can tell our nw team to install that jar files.is it necessary as we have already jar files for version 6? will version 6 jar files be compatible if we install these new jar file which is missing as we dont want to mess the existing scenarios?
    2. is there any other config we are missing on pi side so that we are 100 percent sure its not the error on pi side and some config is missing on jms side.
    please advice.
    many thanks.
    regards
    j

    Hi Jyoti,
You say to choose between the possibility of a missing jar and other of a Queue manager. I think first and foremost get the missing jar file installed and secondly , try the following suggestions.
    1) It appears that the MQ JMS server is refusing connections from the MQ JMS c=
lient. I suggest looking up "MQJMS2005" in the IBM documentation and also =
checking if the IBM specific connection string '147.149.178.44:BT.QM.IVASCT=
    G' is correct.
    2) I guess so because 2009 indicates a communication problem. It appears that the foreign JMS provider is restricting the number of conne=
ctions that can be made to it. I'd check the license restrictions/configura=
tion of the foreign JMS provider and ensure it allows the required number o=
f concurrent connections. The closure reason code 2009 should indicate what=
    the problem is.

  • VisualAge RPG  and crystal report  + IBM Websphere Studio Dveloper client

    Hi friends
My doubt is with regard to VisualAge RPG an alternative of java for AS400 servers yet iam posting here
I am trying to call Crystal report using VARPG The IDE used is IBM Websphere studio developer for iseries 6.0.
In VARPG GUI based windows application i am able to add Crystal Report Viewer (CRviewer.dll) to the ACtivex control object. I have to set the Report source and activate the Activex. The control has a property named ReportSource which is of numeric type. I tried to set the report source by calling openReport methox of Craxdrt.dll. I get a error as follows
0211 Error occurred while calling program or procedure OpenReport.
    Cause . . . . . : The program attempted to call program or
procedure OpenReport, but was unable to access the program or procedure. If
the name is *N, the call was a bound call by procedure pointer.
Recovery . . . : Check the error log file FVDCERRS.LOG for more
information on the cause of the error. If the call was to a local
program, then the program could not be found, or the accumulated
parameters exceeded 1024 bytes in length. If not found, either specify
the full path name or make sure the program resides in a directory
listed in the PATH environment variable. Verify that the file
extension is correct. If no extension is specified, .EXE is assumed.
Is my way of calling crystal report is correct or i have to set the report source by any other way.
    Thanks in advance
    Ashokans

You ned to specify the location of the reports in the RAS server.
    Follow these steps.
    1. Go to the crystal configuration manager.
    2. Click Crystal Report Application Server and stop the service.
    3. Click the properties button.
    4. Go to the parameters tab and from the option type select Server.
    5. In the report directory text box, specify the director in which the reports are located.
    6. Click ok and Start the Crystal Report Application Server
    thats about it
