what is the consolidation account?
Hi,
You have a couple of options depending on whether you are consolidating at balance or transactional level.
If you are consolidating at transaction level, you can click on select batches before performing the transfer and deselect any depreciation batches. Alternatively, if you have auto-post enabled, you can transfer everything and then reverse what you don't want.
If the chart of accounts (COA) are not the same in Ledger A and ledger B and you have mapping defined, you could map all of your depreciation accounts (both income statement and balance sheet accounts) to a single account so that the journal entries hitting those accounts all net to zero, effectively eliminating the entries.
Even if the COA is the same on both ledgers, and your mapping rules for ledger B are simply 'copy values' from Ledger A, you can achieve the same result by going to the mapping definition and specifying "Account rules" where you can assign account ranges to a single account.
Both these options will work for both Balance and Transactional consolidation.

In order to write data to a consolidated account, you can use HS.Exp function in rules which puts data into a combination of Account, ICP, and Custom1...4 members. The syntax is: HS.Exp "DestPOV = Expression"
You might find useful the HS.Con function which puts data into the [Proportion] and [Elimination] Value dimension members and can also be used in Consolidation rules. The syntax is: Call HS.Con ("V#[Elimination]",-1*dPCon,"")

Hi,
I am using the consolidated accounts and when the main account is on hold it still allows to post invoices to the child account even though the parent is on hold. Is there any way around this??

this is the way the application works right now. A change in functionality may be requested in the Product Development Collaboration Forum.
You could run a query when putting a BP on hold just to check whether this code is used as father card in any other BP & then put these BPs on hold as well, depending on the requirement.

BPC Consolidation Account Dimension - R_ACCT X C_ACCT X O_ACCT X P_ACCT
Hi everyone,
I search for all the forum and I didn't find any explanation about the use of the "standards" accounts on BPC, we are using BPC 7.0 for NW.
Why BPC NW differentiate the dimensions depending on which application are going to be included?
For example BPC NW has four dimensions for the account C_ACCT(consolidation), R_ACCT(rate), P_ACCT(Planning) and O_ACCT(Ownership).
In our consolidation project we have the planning front too so at the end we will have only a group chart of account for both.
Can we maintain only an account dimension or is there a technically requirement to mantain three or more account dimensions?
One for Legal App, one for Ownership App, one for Intercompany Matching App and one for planning?
So we should have to use same dimension, an example the C_ACCT, on all application or we have to use each dimension in their owing application and change them with same data? That's the question.
Could someone explain what would we do in this scenario? Please don't send documentation because on every one we read are saying to use different, but how is the maintenance for that, explain this.

You cannot use the same account dimension in all these applications, because the Rate and Ownership applications are designed to store currency conversion and ownership related data, so it would make no sense to add a financial chart of account to these applications. You could however use the same CoA between your Consolidation and your ICMatching, the idea to have two different ones is that you only have Intercompany data from some of your accounts and you may also want to use different roll-ups of your account to perform you IC Matching.
Here are the 4 account dimension:
- R_ACCT used in the Rate application, contains type of rates (like "END", "AVG)
- O_ACCT used in the Ownership application, contains method and percentage of consolidations (like "METHOD","PCON","POWN,...)
- C_ACCT used in the consolidation application, containt the financial Char of Account (Balance Sheet, P&L, ...)
- P_ACCT used in the planning application, contains account specific for Planning.
You could share the same CoA between your Consolidaiton and Planning, as long as you can defined a common one that fits both purposes

I moved my files from my old mac to muy new one using time machine. It left me with a copy of my old account and the new account i established on the new mac. I want everything in one place. What is the best way to do that?
Unfortunately you can not at this time. You'll just need to coordinate all your future purchases under one account.
Some things such as apps carry identification associating them with the account used to purchase the app. -

I currently had a single windows PC with 2 seperate user logons for my wife and I.
We have 2 seperate apple store IDs and 2 seperate windows logon profiles and therefore 2 seperate itunes librarys that we sync our devices with.
We have a 'shared' music library (public folder location that both libraries point to) and have both individually purchased music and apps from the Apple store.
The issue I have is we would prefer to have a single library so that when one of us adds new music or apps - then it appears in the library for both to sync without us having to manually add files / folders to the library (or remember to tell the other person it's there)
Right now when album art is set and anything gets moved around or renamed then it causes trouble for the other person!
How best can I 'migrate' one or both of our accounts to achieve this? Of course neither of us want to lose any of our previous purchases but are happy maybe to purchase under 1 account moving forward and login with a common profile to a single library.?
Suggestions are welcome!All purchases will be tied to the account from which they were purchased.

Consolidating account to boot disk
On my Mac Pro (3,1) I am using a different disc for startup than where my accounts lie. The disc with the accounts is getting full, and I'd like to migrate the actual accounts to the boot disc.
How do I get all the user accounts on to the boot disc properly?
For more background, the Sidebar shows a mixture of locations for various items under "Places". My user account is under the original disc along with the Documents folder, while Applications and Utilities are under the actual startup disc.

Consolidation or group balance sheet
Dear All
I have 2 co.codes with same chart of account. I would like to create consolidate these two company codes and get singe balance sheet and profit & loss and individual ledgers as singel company for this purpose I have done
1. created two individual company codes with same chat of accounts ex. abcd, xyz and COA ABCD.
2. created another chart of company code as AB and assign this AB into ABCD.
3. created another company code as AB00 and assinged AB Chart of Account to this company.
4. Created Accounts for group accounts i.e for total sale 1 sales account total asset 1 Asset code etc.,
5. I have done all configurational Steps in IMG path "Consolidation Preparation (New)" path.(ECC 6.0).
6. I have posted some transaction in ABCD company.
7. When I try to see the transaction in AB00 company code I could see no data. Even Balance sheet through s_alr_87012284 I got the message as No list generated.
I did the above steps thinking that this is the way for consolidation.
1.If this is correct Why I am not able to see the data in Balance sheet or individual ledger wher I am missing i.e the data not posting into group accounts.
2. otherwise what is the correct way of doing consolidation
Can any one help me in configurationa steps

Actualy my partition is failing to validate coz of cell count mis-match, What I am doing is I have created a new application and created following 2 dimensions

Period
under account I two childrens correesponding to each source db accounts
Account A
Account B
Under Account A, I have copy pasted all the childrens of Account dimension from cube A similarly Account B also has all the children of Account dimension from cube B. And I am creating a transparent partion and selecting Area as "Account" for source and "Account A" for target. And also I am mapping respective members but I am not able to validate. Its giving me error as "Cell count mismactch"
Also provide more details on XREF and Export.reports option

Group GL account procedure in MDG
Hi
The creation of Group GL account in MDG says that we need to create GL account as well as FSI Item with same number otherwise while creation of GL Account no input value is displayed in Group GL account. Means two process for Group account
But in ECC there is no need for creation og FSI item only creation of GL is suffient. Mean only one process for single Group account

Yes process of creating FSI for an Acccount is relevant only incase of Group Accounts. In the sense when we create Group account we create Account and FSI as well.
For Opeprating accounts we do not trigger this process.
At out client we have 4 Operating Charts, 4 Group charts and 1 BPC consoldition chart to be governed within MDG.
for 4 operating charts we only create ACCOUNT.
for 4 Group charts, when we create ACCOUNT, Post activation we are crating FSI. Reason being we wanted to link the operating account to group account in SKA1, where both will be replicated to target systems.
Incase of BPC consolidation chart, The starting point is FSI, (We enhanced the entity type with around 50 custom attributes to meet client rquirements. Once ITEM is approved and activataed, we are creating Account in backgorund, becasue we wanted to link this BPC account in group accoutnt field of group Account.
From MDG hub prespective: all 4 Operating , 4 Group and 1 BPC consolidation chart will be stored in SKA1.
Operating Account will have a link to Group Account.
Group Account will have a link to BPC consolidation account.
However from Client systems (Target ECC) prespective, respective Operating and Group account will be replicated and so SKA1 will be populated. BPC Consoldiation account will be replicated to BPC instance only.
We took care of single object processing (create) scenario's. Now thiking of solution for Change / Mass change and upload scenario's. Not sure if i even consufed further :-)

Eg: To build a consolidated chart of accounts table.
First Company:

Now we have to choose any one company, to view the report or else create a seperate SQL database to store the consolidated data.

(M) - 009251026226If you're not going to host the wiki yourself and you want the Mac OSX Wiki, then it's either use the full OSX Virtual Server. If you can host the wiki, then buy a MAC-Mini (w/ OSX). You're going to need at least a T1 line (with a static IP) in order to make that work. Folks attaching to the wiki need upload speed.
So by the time you get done adding up all the expenses a remotely hosted virtual server may be your best bet.

FI Archive questions for object FI_DOCUMNT
I am on a team that is currently implementing an Archiving strategy for financial data through the FI_DOCUMNT archiving object and we have a few questions:
1. Is it possible to perform the revaluation process on an account (for example the Cash account) for a fiscal period that has already been archived? Transaction F.05
2 Is it possible to redo a transfer to profit centers operation for prior years even if that data has already been archived?
Transactions 1KEH, 1KEI, 1KEJ, 1KEK
3. Since we are using FI ECC (Enterprise Controlling Consolidations), can we retain the consolidation account number for documents that have been archived via an AIS Infostructure?
Also, if we would need to transfer an FI document to a new special ledger for past periods, if it has been archived is that possible? Transaction GCU1
Any help on these questions would be appreciated.

BTW, XtremeAudio is not based on same hardware that those othed X-Fi (PCI) models are so, if you have Li've! 24-bit/Audigy SE/Value or any Audigy 2/4 card there already then you perhaps don't get any other advantage but those couple of bundled additional software only (as like the Chrystalizer).
You can rip CDs and record audio directly to mp3 format by simply using MediaSource Player ... I don't know if there are support for edit VOB or DAT format files (least creative wavestudio 5.0 didn't support) but, supposeingly, there are 3rd party software for this task available.
