Constant Importing...

I imported an already existing folder as Folder into a project. That imported all my current thousands of images (referenced from an external hard drive) each with their own folder and albums, which is perfect.
Now the challenge I am having is getting new images (not from camera, but a folder on say the desktop) imported into Aperture and each image into the relevant folders and the master referenced onto the external hard drive. This is going to be a constant thing getting new images into aperture and onto the hard drive.
Second, if I move the images straight onto the external hard drive (each in its relevant folder) aperture does not automatically show those images in the project. I have to go out and find each individual image and import it?

Have you updated to 4.1 yet? Matrox does not have drivers for it, and crashes seem fairly common. Might not be your cause, but worth thinking about. Seems that 4.0.1 was working OK with Matrox, but not 4.1.
Systemic crashes can be any number of things. Please give complete details on your system. The more, the better. Please include all software and versions. Running applications and Processes can be very important.
Good luck,
Hunt

  • How can I alter an existing OA Page to call my JSP page ?

    hi,
I want to use the existing oracle payslip page that when the user selects a date and clicks the Submit button it does all the relevant processing as normal but instead of displaying the Oracle payslip it should then display mine.
I don't think this possible in Personalization so i tried creating my own controller code. I decompiled the Controller Code on the server and copied that into my new Controller class. I then added my own code to do a setForward to my page.
I copied this new class to the server under XXmycust.oracle.etc etc and added this entry top the jserv.properties file.
I then went into Personalize this Page to alter the controller - I set the Controller for the page layout to be my new controller, and bounced Apache. But when I try to access the page I just get the red Error message. !!!
What is the correct procedure if you want to alter an existing page's Controller code ?

    Hi,
Here is more information for you.
Here is the ORIGINAL decompiled oracle controller :

  • Unable to get Compiz Fusion working...

I'm aware this isn't a new issue, but the Wiki has so far been unable to solve my queries.
I've just freshly installed Arch on my new PC: Pentium-D 3.8Ghz, 2Gb of RAM and an ATi Radeon X1950 Pro (PCI-E).
I've installed Compiz Fusion as suggested via the wiki. When I run the fusion icon and activate compiz, I am left with no window borders and no working compiz. I've followed the troubleshooting section on the wiki to no avail. The problem remains.

  • OAF changes Date Format

    Hi
I need to store a date into a flexfield. We have enabled the Flexfield and there is NO value set attached to it.
This attribute is already in the VO as a varchar, so we have just added a new column into the page as data type Date and link it to the flexfield column.
In this page we have a table layout so the user can enter 10 rows before saving them. And this page it just used to punch data into a table, which means, once the user press apply the page saves and clears. The user can not query on that page.
When entering the first row, we can open the Date picker and we can choose the date and then it populates the column as “DD-MON-YYYY”.
    The problem is:
When we entering the second row after entering one column the pages changes the format of my date from the previous record to “YYYY-MM-DD”, then after entering any second column the pages clear the date from the previous row.
Running the page from JDev it shows the following message before clears the flexfield:
    java.text.ParseException: 2011-01-28
Note we have not extended the VO and not extended the controller.
    My questions are:
    1) Why the Self-Service is change the date format to YYYY-MM-DD even if the profile ICX: Date Format Mask (31-DEC-1999) and my preference is set to DD-MON-YYYY?
    2) How can I avoid this to happen? Is there any way to keep my date as DD-MON-YYYY?
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Alex,
That was the update from Oracle support, when we raised it,
But I did the following to handle that, I feel this is not the right way, since we had that issue as SEV1, I did that as a workaround,

  • Type mismatch on SOAP Web Service method invocation

When I run the generated client for a web service, I get the following error, which I can get rid of by using a primitive type (e.g. String) as the parameter to doSomething instead of wstest.test2.APIClass3, i.e. the SOAP server seems happy handling wstest.test2.APIClass1 as a return type, but not a similar class as a parameter type:
    [SOAPException: faultCode=SOAP-ENV:Server; msg=type mismatch [java.lang.IllegalArgumentException]]
         wstest.test2.APIClass1 wstest.test2.EmbeddedStatelessTest2Stub.doSomething(wstest.test2.APIClass3)
              EmbeddedStatelessTest2Stub.java:89
         void wstest.test2.EmbeddedStatelessTest2Stub.main(java.lang.String[])
              EmbeddedStatelessTest2Stub.java:48
I am using JDeveloper9i 9.0.3 Preview and the standalone OC4J 9.0.3 that came with it. I followed the Oracle9i JDeveloper 9.0.3 Web Services Quickstart Install (http://otn.oracle.com/tech/webservices/htdocs/quickstart/quickstart903.html) to get OC4J running standalone. I had to register the stateless EJB provider, and the WEB services wizard didn't manage to include APIClass2 (an instance of which is contained in APIClass1) in the .dd so I added it manually which works fine with APIClass1 as the method return type.
Sorry for the length of this posting, but I wasn't sure which bits would be relevant.

I believe this is a bug in JDev/OC4J 9.0.3 that is being further investigated right now. I have duplicated your problem in a simpler test case and folks are looking into it.

    Fauver,
Just to narrow down the problem first remove the first udf and only use the 2nd user defined function. Also in the 2nd udf you have to change this line:
    try{
    // 1. Determine a channel.
    Channel channel = LookupService.getChannel(Sender, "R_RFC_ERP");
In the above line instead of Sender you use the business service or business system where R_RFC_ERP RFC communication channel is created in Integration Directory. So you are hardcoding it first.
Once you have done this changes do save and test it once again. If this works then you can change back to original and your first udf needs to be checked.

  • How to get user defined class in java client of a bpel prcoess?

I have written a simple bpel process which returns a bean class namely employee which has three String fields(name,id and email). From java client when I am invoking the prcoess the prcoess instance is starting and completing properly. From Bpel console when I check the audit of the instance, it shows everything as expected. But in client class instead of three strings I am getting only first string i.e email in response. I checked the mapping and all WSDL files but could not find a proper reason. Hi Abdul,
From the document, we know that CONSTRAINED flag is used to reduce the risk of injection attacks via the specified string. If a string is provided that is not directly resolvable to qualified
or unqualified member names, the following error appears: "The restrictions imposed by the CONSTRAINED flag in the STRTOSET function were violated."
So you need to make sure the members are passed properly to the STRTOSET function. For more details, please see the following links:
    http://ch1n2.wordpress.com/2010/02/21/the-restrictions-imposed-by-the-constrained-flag-in-the-strtoset-function-were-violated/
    http://www.bp-msbi.com/2010/04/passing-unconstrained-set-and-member-parameters-between-reports-in-reporting-services/
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Can't get content from PCD

    Hi,
I've developed a small project to read content from pcd, in this case, to get roles attributes. I've followed this tutorial http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/6112ecb7-0a01-0010-ef90-941c70c9e401?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true, but I keep getting a NoClassDefFound for IPCDContext and PCDSearchConrols(if i choose to use this objet instead). I've added a DC of the External Library type to my project wich contained all the jars needed. Here's the code for my project:

I'm trying to get the VB viewer code from wssdk_net_samples_12 working on a report (with 1 parameter) I created against a postgres database but I keep getting the following error:
Message: "Failed to retrieve database logon info. Information is needed before this report can be processed. (WRE 02517)"
    on this line:
Dim boDocInfo As DocumentInformation = boRepEng.GetDocumentInformation(repID, boMustFill, oActions, Nothing, Nothing)
The logon apprears to work properly.  I've tested it against the standard 'World Sales Report' report.
My report works fine in Crystal Server 2008 with the parameter so I'm wondering what I'm missing.
The code to log into the DB is actually done after this code.
I'm actually at the end of what little wit I have.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    J

'Hey there,  sorry about the delay...and the mess.  Here's my code and it still works! Ok some of this is 'mine, some of this is BObj's, and some of this was done by people here.  I can't remember exactly who 'but if you recognize a piece of code in there that might be yours it probably is.  Thanks.  This is a pretty 'messy windows command-line app to schedule a report and put it in a specific location.

  • XML Schema mapping error when generating web service

I have created a method in java that returns an array of an object type (a user defined class). When tried to generate a web service JDeveloper did not allow me to select the method, giving the following "Why not.." explanation: "One or more parameters did not have an XML Schema mapping and/or serializer specified".
Can anyone help me in this?
    Thanks

Thanks Mike for your advice it did work when I changed the setters and getters names, and managed to create a web service with Apache Soap profile. I created the client stub and client application to run the web service but it keep coming with soap-env error messages.
Error message I get when running the client side:

  • General question about webservices

    I hava a file "Test.java" (which attempts to test a webservice) and a XML-File.
I compiled the Test-class successfully and now I'm wondering what are the next
steps to be able to send a request to the webservice and get a response.
I know that I will need to install Apache Axis (?). But I have no idea how to go on.
What is with the Test.class? I'll have to pack it somehow, I suppose.
Sorry if my question's too stupid. I'm a beginner with Java and all those web- and xml-things are very confusing. :o(

  • Custom propertie's values are not updated for workflow metadata

    Hi,
I've a requirement where I need to add and update some properties. to /etc/workflow/instance/<Instancename>/data/metadata node.
    I've two workflow Process steps,
    Process step 1:
        Adds some properties to metadata.
    Process step 2:
Updates the propertie's values which are added in Process step 1.
But the issue is update is not working when the node is /etc/workflow/instance/<Instancename>/data/metadata.
i.e. In the step 1, Properties are added to metadata node but In the step 2 propertie's values are not updated to the same node.
    Here is my process code:
