Constant outages in different places in key west

Question

Not only I have seen them but neighbors and buissnesses as well in my area would lose phone, internet and tv services, some reporting how it often goes off at night at random times.  I know they've been working on upgrades and stuff but this has been going on for years down here, like our local burger king lost buissness because of the outages that occur when the eletrical goes out and the phones didn't work.  So now I ask why have we been getting outages in large clusters?It's not healthy for buisness, emergecnies and the protection people get with xfinity home. I mean shouldn't comcast still work if we have backup power sources?  Places I witnessed these major outages:Between burger king and and the care centerThe entire block of spaldingOver between the grave yard and emma street I'm like wondering, what is comcast doing that causes major outages doing black outs and just at random for like two or three years in these nieghborhoods? I've never had these problems with dls or fiber to the node, we would have a hurricane and still be able to do things, but not with comcast recently.  If they're doing matenance and upgrades fine but I see alot of angery people espeically when it comes to the bill. Like this woman complained to me on how her internet bill is $80 and it's probably because of the change in speeds and another complained on how they now have to buy that backup battery which comcast denies powers the interent and phone if the service is up. Usually phone companies are required by law to give you a backup battery and my guess is comcast found out customers were willy nilly getting that battery to use it as a backup battery. But yes if anyone could answer why these outages are constant since not even techs can I would be appriciative.

The cable lines and cable equipment above and below the roads require electricity to work. If there is no electricity there will be no cable.
That being said Comcast doesn't control the electrical lines or electrical company. Its completely out of their hands and they are at the mercy of the power company until the power is fixed
