Dear All
I have a problem. I sync my iphone 3G 2.1 software with my outlook.
The problem is that the iphone doesn´t come with too many options (perhaps I have to say only with a few) countries in Latin America. Since this, I cannot add people that live in Peru, nor in Chile etc.
On the other hand, all my contacts that have adress in that countries, are shown in the iphone incompleted, I mean, as if don´t have an adress.
Would you please help me?

In fact, the functions that you need to call as well as the order are information which are specific to the DLL that you would like to use. In the DLL, you will find basic functions and if you want to realize some complex behaviors, you will have to look into the documentation of the DLL (on Microsoft site here) in order to know which ones you will need to associate (put together).
If you wish, you can try to contact Microsoft to help you but LabVIEW is not related to this first stage.
Then, once you will have found out which functions to use, you will have to choose the right datatypes to fit with Microsoft's datatypes. And the documents that Junior provided you here will help you to do this.

Keeping contact with controlling applet while u/l XML file via servlet

Hello everybody,
if I am thinking too complicated, please send me other suggestions. Here's the situation:
I already have a working applet for a metadata application, that is sending the contents of the client's textfields to a remote database via servlet communication. Now I want to implement the following:
-The users have some attribute data in form of an XML file
-I want them to upload this file to the server (I already have that functionality using the fileUpload libraries of Apache Commons) by calling the servlet from a pop-up html page (is there any other possibility to do the communication, i.e. getting files from the file system?)
-the XML file should be parsed on the server and the content should be sent back to the calling applet for previewing reasons.
-when the user gives his/her O.K. the data should be transferred to the database.
Now there are some obstacles to overcome: When I upload the XML file to the server, I loose "contact" with the applet, i.e. the file is not connected with the applet code in any way. This is not a problem, when there is only one user at the time, but with many users loading up their data at the same time, things could get tricky.
What I thought was to copy the XML file to a temp directory with a unique name, the name of which would be transferred back to the applet by another servlet that is called when the (upload)pop-up window closes. The name of the temp directory could be the ID of the applet thread (is there such an ID, if yes, how can it be retrieved?)
Any suggestions (or just shaking heads concerning my complicated construction ;-) )

You may be able to read a file from the file system with the applet, but it may require you to sign the applet. If you can, then use an HttpURLConnection to the servlet and send the file that way.
On the server side, you could create a session object (wether you actually need a session or not), and use the session's id as the key id for the directory name for the uploaded file. Session IDs are unique per client, and if the client handles cookies, then the same session will be used from one request to the next.

String sessionID = session.getId();The response from the servlet would be a link to the server-side file. If you are using the Applet to send the request, you could get the response and automatically view the new file. Otherwise, you could send a page to the popup window saying: "Click This Link To See Your File" type of thing.

Disable option contacts suggested contacts for adresses not in adresbook thru OCT/GPO

Is there a possibility to disable the option in Outlook 2010: automatically make outlook contacts for adressed which are not in outlook adresbook thru OCT or GPO?
We want to migrate Office 2003 to Office 2010. The configuration is made thry OCT so that it is fully automatically and configured for the end user. However i cannot find above setting to turn off.
This is importend because when this setting is enabled all contacts which are ever send an email comes in the Iphone.....
Is it possible to automatically disable this option thru OCT/GPO?

The registry key:

Value: 0
is not excisting. When i choose in the registry the path without policys then the setting is there however when i change the setting to 1 and restart the client starrting outlook the setting: predefined contacts for adresses not in adresbook is not selected.
So if i change that regsitry setting nothing happens with the option in Outlook 2010, not after a restart of the system...

Outlook 2011 problem syncing contacts with address book

I am aware that Lion has broken the sync ability of Outlook 2011 with Address Book. Hopefullly this will be fixed at some point.
So my problem is that I have decided to use a workaround to get my Address Book contents into Outlook 2011. I am not concerned with further syncing at this point. I just want to get my addresses into Outlook and hope a better fix is offered at some point.
About the only way I could figure out how to do this was to export my Address Book as vCard. I then imported the vCard file into Gmail and then exported that as a CSV file. It contained 550 addresses. I opened it in Excel and it contained 550 rows. Great so far.
I then Imported into Outlook 2011 and chose import a text file. When the mapping window opened, it showed over 890 files instead of 550 and the fields were not mapped correctly. I could not complete the import because it was so screwed up.
So I'm back to square one and very frustrated. There must be others who have the same issue and maybe have figured out a way to do this. Please help.

ICloud won´t sync all contacts with Mac

Hardware and software involved:
Macbook Pro (bit older model) with fully updated Lion
iPhone 4 with fully updated newest iOS
Situation:
There are all contacts in iCloud. iPhone synces without issue and has all contacts in adress book. On Mac many contacts are missing.
Tested solutions on Mac:
1) Turned iCloud account off and on - no result, no change, iCloud still synces only some contacts
2) Turned iCloud adress book syncing on (while deleting all contacts on Mac) - no result, no change, iCloud still synces only some contacts
3) Deleting user/Library/applicationsupport/adress book - adress book synced more contacts (and different ones) then before, but still not all... Maybe around 1/2 contacts from iCloud.
Looking for help, I´m out of ideas. This is not some trivial error like looking in wrong tab at Adress Book (for example looking to On My Mac).

If your only issue is with duplicates I would go to your address book and click on the "red marker" up on the window. That should get you into main directory. There you should see at least two main lists:
On My Mac
iCloud
If you click on iCloud, there should be all entries with no duplicates - check if all your contacts are there. Then go to On My Mac and delete all contacts there. Problem solved (and if you have iPhone don't sync contacts over cable if you have iCloud sync active, that's where my duplicates came from).
My issue was more complicated. It started with duplicates which I have deleted as described above. Then I noticed I have all contacts on my iPhone and I can see all contacts on iCloud web page but in Mac there was only about half of them.
So after trying stuff for some time I have solved it by
1) deleting all contacts from Mac and turning iCloud off on Mac
2) copying all contacts from iPhone to Mac over cable to On My Mac directory
3) deleting all contacts from iPhone and iCloud manually, turning iCloud on iPhone off
4) copying all contacts from Mac back to iPhone
5) deleting all contacts from Mac (On My Mac)
6) turning iCloud on again and uploading contacts from iPhone to iCloud
7) turning iCloud on again on Mac and leting Mac sync
Complicated stuff, it's few days so I hope I have not forgotten something.

Nokia -Grouping Contacts with more than 1 number

I want to sync my phone with MS Outlook in such a way that it groups multiple numbers (eg home, mobile) for 1 contact under that contact's name.
When I do it syncs to the SIM.
For contacts with more than 1 entry it sets up contacts as: John Smith; John Smith1 etc
When I copy from SIM to phone memory it keeps these names
Does anyone know how to do this - I did manage it with the same handset (now replaced) but can't remember how.
It feels like I should be able to sync to the phone memory rather than SIM, but the Mokia PC suite doesn't seem to allow me to do that.

I'm From South Africa and the sim cards we have in this country just save one number per contact and I would also get the same result with any simcard that is available in this country if I tried what your trying to do.
Assuming, There aren't many different types of sim cards then your sim card will also not be able to store multiple numbers to the same name. They just aren'r designed that way.
The same will happen if you copy your contacts from phone to sim. It just can't be done

Syncing unified contact with mac

Hello,
Basically I 'unified' my sim (or iCloud) contacts with my BT Yahoo! contacts on my iPhone. This all went swimmingly.
However, I am now the proud owner of a new Mac Air. and my issue is, how I can I make my iCloud contacts the whole gamish? How can I make those lovely contacts with e-mail adress and telephone combined appear in my address book?
and if no one knows how to that... how do I import my Bt Yahoo contacts to my adress book? That would work just as well I suppose...

Actually, you're not using iSync: you are using .Mac Sync, a completely different technology, for which there is a forum located here.
And this document explains the underlying technologies which tie .Mac Sync, iSync, the Address Book, iCal, Safari and other applications together in the synchronization framework.

Contact With Server Lost? error

I have a workbook that contains several tabs. One of these tabs runs a query that displays approximately 4000 rows and about 100 columns. Although it took a full 2 minutes to run, the results were displayed. Recently however I encounter an error message that the page cannot be displayed and contact with the server has been lost. No results are displayed at all but I can the results if I export to Excel.
The Excel export is my short term workaround. I've noticed that if cut down the number of rows returned to 50 or even 25 that it runs properly but anthing reaching towards 100 rows per page will result in nothing displayed. Is there a buffer or something on the server side that I can increase or clear out? This report will only get larger over time so a short term and a long term solution would be appreciated.
ALSO: Does Discoverer support the STRAGG function?

You have a number of questions here so let me try and give you some overall guidelines concerning performance.
1. Tables perform better than Crosstabs
2. Worksheets that contain Page Items perform worse than those than do not contain Page Items
3. Page Items that contain lots of items perform worse than Page Items that contain a small number of items
4. Complex folders perform worse than simple folders
5. Worksheets with lots of columns perform worse than those with fewer columns
6. The placement of data items in the Admin edition is important. In order of optimum performance place item here:
a) Side
b) Top of Side
c) Top
d) Page
7. Avoid very wide Crosstabs if humanly possible
8. Do not leave a workbook with partial drills, make sure all drills are collapsed
9. Parameters improve performance
10. Try to avoid worksheets that return in excess of 10,000 rows
11. Avoid calculations such as UPPER(:region) IN UPPER(region). If you are certain that an item is in uppercase then define it as such in the Admin edition and then only apply the UPPER to the parameter
12. Avoid worksheets that contain fan traps as these seriously impact performance
13. Do not create LOVs out of transactional tables. Rather you should define a LOV using special custom code
14. If you know SQL at all, examine your worksheet SQL in Explain Plan and see if there are any full table scans going on. If there are, fix them. You may need to create a view for this.
Ok, now that I have got the basics of performance out of the way, over to your particular issues. I have seen Contact with Server Lost messages continually ever since Discoverer first came out during the mid-1990s. This error normally happens in Desktop and is usually associated with either a genuine network issue or an out of memory situation. I wuold think that if you have 4000 rows and 100 columns that you might be pushing your luck if you don't have a lot of memory.
If you are using Plus or Viewer try setting the page size to 20 rows at a time. You can also try setting the number of rows returned to a lower number.
As for the STRAGG function. Discoverer can operate with any function providing that the function is either a) a standard SQL function existing within the database, or b) a user-defined function that has been imported into Discoverer and registered with the EUL. If you are able to go to SQL, type something like SELECT STRAGG('ABC') from dual and get an answer then this can be made available inside Discoverer.
The normal STRAGG function outlined below:
CREATE or replace FUNCTION stragg(input varchar2 )
RETURN varchar2
PARALLEL_ENABLE AGGREGATE USING string_agg_type;
is a user-defined function and would need to be registered with the EUL before it could be used within a Discoverer workbook.

Windows 2012 DHCP Failover "Lost contact with partner"

We have stood up a pair of Windows 2012 DHCP servers and configured DHCP failover (in Load Balancing mode) as per the Microsoft Technet article. The two servers are on the same subnet, and time is in sync between them. Almost immediately after
configuring scopes to failover, one node loses contact with the other, and the alternate node goes to failover mode "Recover".
We have restarted both servers and services. Both DHCP servers show as available. Clicking "Replicate Failover Scopes" completes successfully with no errors, and the only two warnings in the Event Log are about credentials for Dynamic
DNS updates and a dynamic IPv6 address (which we don't use at all.)
How come they can replicate, but have "lost contact"; and how do we get the one out of "Recover" mode?

You should see Recover state only if one of the DHCP server actually went down and came back up. In this case the server which comes back up would be in Recover state but will transition to Recover_Wait state and come back to Normal after it syncs it
leases. This should be relatively quickly. Did your servers continue to remain in the Lost Contact...\Recover state for long.
Did you see any events in the DHCP Server admin channel
Microsoft\Windows\DHCP Server\Admin.
You can also enable AuditLogs (Microsoft\Windows\DHCP
Server\AuditLogs) which logs all the server to server messages. You can enable the log by right clicking on
Microsoft\Windows\DHCP Server. View->Show Analytical and Debug Logs. This will show the
Microsoft\Windows\DHCP Server\AuditLogs in event viewer. You can then right click and enable the log and see if there are any failures
being logged there.

I created a RFC having a query which is taking a long time to execute. So i want to close RFC connection with portals which is via java connector(JCO) before that query and open the connction again after that query.
I guess i will need to understand your requirement a little more in detail, as i understand you have an RFC which has a query within to fetch some data and is taking a long time to do so. In the meantime you don't want to keep the connection open?
My question would be, Is the role of this RFC to only execute the query and fetch the data or does it do something else?
If it does other things and these are independent of the query execution, then you can span a parallel call within the RFC to execute the query and in the meantime the RFC does the other things (or vice versa) hence reducing the overall time taken.
If the sole purpose of this RFC is to execute the query, then you will not be able(i mean to say there is no simple and direct way of doing this) to close the connection after the Query is started and re-establish the connection after its execution, for a simple reason that - how will you know if the query has completed it's execution, so that you can establish the connection back.
Alternate solutions, make this a two way asynchronous call, 1) You invoke the RFC asynchronously and close the connection, the RFC in turn will execute the query and transfer the data to JCO via another RFC call.
If this needs to be a synchronous call, then you will need to optimize the query to its best.

I cloud isue with contacts with 1 apple id but multiple phones?

I have a few questions, grateful for help.
I have four iphones of various flavours. I have ios 5 on all. I have however only 1 apple id which is set to my itunes account as I want to control purchases with my store ID, but that id has been used on each phone.
I have set icloud to sync on all four - but that causes issues with too much information being downloaded to all devices, specifcally on contacts.
So here's my issues:
The set up for contacts with icloud means that unless you allow sync you can't edit them. BUT because they all have the same id everyone gets everyone elses' contacts too - which I don't want.
So - should I set up four separate apple id's one for each user?
Is this different from a store id? Because two of them are used by my kids and I don't want them to have my password for itunes purchases!
Confused - help gratefully received.

If you don't want photo stream to sync your photos between devices go settings > iCloud and uncheck photos, do this on each device.

Unable to contact with support... No any way...

I have a very stupid situation... and it seems that this is hopeless.
I have my iPad since from several years and yesterday I had to buy (first time) an application on App Store.
So unfortunately to proceed I had to give a response to 2 security questions an my responses are not correct.
I did not have before the alternative e-mail address on my AppleID so I do not see the link to reset my security questions...
All in all I have to call the Apple Support. And this is the moment were the story begins... My situation is like this, I am from Poland, I have bought the iPad in Poland, now I am located in France (I work there currently). I do not speak french language on acceptable level to contact with french support by phone. No problem with English language for me. So I have decided to call the polish support - the easiest solution - but I am not able to do it, polish support number is special (00800 4411875) and I am not able to call it while being abroad....
So I have decided to choose the option that Apple Support will cal me, why not? Genial! But... I need to confirm the country to which the support will make the call... I cannot choose France because I will be switched to french support, also I cannot select Poland and give there my french mobile number...
So my last possibility was to contact with English support, but the story is exactly the same like with polish support...
Anyone can explain me what I can do in such situation? Because it is tragic, I know that Apple would like to be very user-friendly so everybody will be able to call their support center even if they do not understand the internet page, but for the moment, for my situation it is just a pain in...
After this I really loose my will to buy anything from Apple (I totally forgot about this app which originally I was going to buy...). Thanks...

Server 4: Cannot connect to remote server: "lost contact with the AuthService"

Attempting to upgrade to Server 4; have Server 4 app on my local Mac to administer a remote Mac mini running Server 4. Server app 4 on the mini connects to itself; however, I cannot user Server app 4 on my local Mac to connect remotely to the mini. Have verified the machine name, user, and password are all correct (they haven't changed and worked fine under Server 3.2.2). Console on the local machine shows the following error:

Export the com.apple.servermgrd certificate from your server. Import it on your local computer and ensure that it is set to Always Trust. Ensure that you also follow the directions from the article linked below.
