Contacts from cloud to ipad?

My contacts are in the cloud but it is not possible to get them to my ipad.

Yes it is. Make sure your iPad is running at least iOS 5 and sign in to iCloud on your iPad in the settings.

Can't sync my contact from iPhone to iPad Air.
If I add a new contact in iPad Air it appears on iPhone. If I delete this new contact on iPhone it is also deleted on iPad. But the whole contacts of iPhone cannot be imported in iPad.
Please help me! Who has any idea?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Please try the following…
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing.

    Hello gailmartyjax,
Congratulations on the new iPad mini!  You can follow the steps below to have your Gmail Contacts sync to your iPad mini:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CardDav Account.
Enter the following information in the fields:
    Server: google.com
User Name: Enter your full Google email address
    Password: Your Google account password
Select Next at the top of the screen to complete the setup.
After you have completed the setup, open the Contacts app on your device. Syncing should begin automatically.

  • Updating contacts from gmail to ipad

what is the best way to sync gmail contacts to the new Ipad Thank you

Setting up GMail as an Exchange account is the FAR superior method.  That way any changes you make to contacts are pushed between device and server.  You also get the benefit of Push e-mail for your account (when set up as a "normal" GMail account in iOS, e-mail does not Push).
If you set GMail up as Exchange, just be aware that there's an additional tweak you have to do if you want deleted e-mails to actually go to trash.  In the native iOS Mail app for GMail there is a setting that determines if deleted e-mail goes to Trash or All Mail (archived).  But when you set up GMail as Exchange then the default is for deleted messages to get archived, and there is no setting on your iPad to change that.  Instead, use Safari on your iPad to navigate to m.google.com/sync and set your preference directly on the server -- note that you have to do this from the device itself, not a computer.

  • Can I copy contacts from iPhone to iPad

Can I copy contacts from iPhone to iPad

Sort of........I'm going to assume you're a Windows person?  When you sync your iPhone, you would direct where you store the iPhone contacts.  Again, assuming you're Windows, you have the option to store them in Windows, Yahoo or Google.  You do this by opening your iPhone after sync and click Information above, which is where the option to store them in Windows, Google or Yahoo is.  Once you've done that, then getting them to your iPad is easy.  After you sync your iPad, open it like you did your iPhone and again click the Information tab above and tell iPad where the contact should sync from (Windows, Google or Yahoo).

  • Can u down load contact from iPhone to iPad 1 64 3g

Can u  down load content of contact from I phone to I pad 3g64

No.  You synch your contacts between your iPhone and iTunes.  Then synch those contacts to your iPad.

How do I transference contacts from my iPhone to my new iPad

It all depends on where the contacts come from originally; Apple Address Book?  Google?  Exchange?  If the Apple Address Book, you sync the iPhone to mac - that should sync all contacts (assuming you have set iTunes to transfer contacts).  Next sync with the iPad.  If you use MobileMe, then you should also be able to sync across all your devices.  Not sure about Google or Exchange.

  • Messages sent from my iPhone to a certain contact also now come up on my husbands iPhone . This happens since we face timed the contact from my new iPad at Xmas . My husband uses my iCloud as we share iTunes info . How can I stop this happening ?

Since getting an iPad at Xmas , we facetimed a mutual contact  on the ipad , now messages I send from my iPhone 3GS to that contact show up on my husbands iPhone 4 . He does use my iCloud and iTunes account as we share music . How can I stop my messages going to his iPhone ?

    Hello lisa.burton35,
If what you want to do is share your purchases with one Apple ID and have other stuff separate, that's pretty easy.
Check out the section "Use one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store purchases" in this article.
Set up your Apple ID for iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support
Basically he would use your Apple ID for the Stores (iTunes, Apps, iBooks) and his Apple ID for everything else (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, FaceTime, Messages etc).
Now if he has been purchasing stuff on his own account then you would have to make some choices on the purchase accounts.
You may also want to check out Family Sharing, which allows people to share purchases within a familly, each having their own IDs.

  • Back up contacts from cloud to samsung galaxy s5

I just updated to the Samsung Galaxy s5 from the iPhone 4s.  I backed everything up to the cloud. It initial transfer was fine but I noticed I had a lot of duplicates. (It wasn't the clouds fault. It is because of the way I had my contacts in my blackberry, which was then added to my iphone, and some how some contacts were in there 4 or 5 times.) I signed into the cloud on the computer to manage the contacts. I had 2138 contacts to start with and by the time i deleted all of the duplications from the cloud, I was down to 966. My problem is that it will not sync to my phone now. At first when I tried to sync it i got the message "Cloud Back up contacts Failed."  Now it says it is syncing fine, but it is only syncing what I deleted from my phone, not from the cloud (I had started to delete from the phone but it was much easier to do it from the cloud). Help! How do I get my updated contacts list from the cloud to sync to my galaxy s5?  I really don't want to have to delete them all from the phone!  It is so much more tedious and takes so much longer!

Thanks for your help.  I have tried using the desktop version of the
cloud.  It's weird because everything EXCEPT my contacts are there but they
are there on the cloud online.  I ended up calling Verizon yesterday.  They
tried walking me through some things but they were even stumped.  They put
in a ticket for the cloud "experts" who hopefully should be calling me back
soon. If not it looks like I will be deleting everything manually on the
phone itself which will take me a while!
    Thanks again!
