Continuing from a broken stream
I have general question to ask about the InputStream. I am downloading a file from the net using the inputstream. What i wanted to know was when the connection is broken is their anyway of restarting from the last point it was broken from rather then starting from scratch??

If the server runs HTTP 1.1 then it supports resuming. But how you set up the resuming, I don't know. My guess would be something like:URL url = new URL("http://www.yahoo.com/file.zip");
HttpURLConnection c = new HttpURLConnection(url);
c.setRequestProperty("Range", "bytes=666-");
c.connect();This should resume the file from 666 bytes.

Photos downloading to your iPhone usually come from Syncing with iTunes. Look in the iTunes sidebar, click on iPhone under devices (must be attached). Click on Photos tab across the top to review which Photos, albums, events etc are synced from iPhoto.

After upgrading to Mavericks and iPhoto 9.5 my shared photo streams seem to contain no photos when seen in iPhoto. From iPad the streams are fine. How can I get them to be recognized by iPhoto again?
Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

I have tried and successfully completed the iBooks ambient soundtrack option in Fixed Layout ePub. It works fine.
But while trying the same in Reflow ePub, it is not working in iPad iBooks. I have latest iBooks version and latest iOS version in my iPad.
Please let me know how can I code to play audio continuously from page to page in iBooks for reflow ePub?

How can I remove the SSD from a broken iPhone 2G?
I have many years soldering experience and with small electronics. Is there any way to remove the solid state in the EP of an iPhone 2G and read the data off of it. My theory is that if a flash drive can do it so seamlessly in small space; MAYBE I can frankenstein something together to retrieve some music and pictures from said broken device.

m.The flash memory in the iPhone is a chip soldered onto the logic board; it's not a separate module. So barring a lot of work to get the chip unsoldered and then the building of your own circuitry, the storage cannot be removed and accessed separately. You can try one of the recovery services such as DriveSavers and see if they would have any way to get data from your iPhone.

How to hide duplicate photos that origins from the photo stream and imported photos?
Hi,
I are using my camera both with an IPad (through SD-card reader) and directly to my iMac.
I want to keep the full photo archive on the iMac.
Now the problem, that I encounter, is that if I use the iPad to look at the photos, those photos will be transfered to the photo-stream.
Then later when I import all my photos from the camera to the i Mac, those photos that I happened to import to the iPad will show up as duplicate in iPhoto.
Of course I only want one copy of a photo regardless if they arrive from the photo-stream or through a direct import to my iMac.
Is there a way to fix this problem or is it simply a bug?
I think it would be rather easy for the iPhoto software to detect duplicates and hide them.You can use one of these applications to identify and remove duplicate photos from an iPhoto Library:
iPhoto Library Manager - $29.95
Duplicate Annihilator - $7.95 - only app able to detect duplicate thumbnail files or faces files when an iPhoto 8 or earlier library has been imported into another.

If you have an iPhone and have it set to keep the normal photo when shooting HDR photos the two image files that are created will be duplicates in a manner of speaking (same image) but the only duplicate finder app that detected the iPhone HDR and normal photos as being duplicates was PhotoSweeper. None of the other apps detected those two files as being duplicates as they look for file name as well as other attributes and the two files from the iPhone have diffferent file names.
iPLM, however, is the best all around iPhoto utility as it can do so much more than just find duplicates. IMO it's a must have tool if using iPhoto.

I have read the article at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5125?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US I have followed the steps to remove photos from iPhoto on my MacBook Pro. That worked. The same photos did not get deleted from my iPhone and for my iPad.
I then went to my iPad and deleted more images from my Photo Stream. Worked. Then went to my MacBook Pro and the photos were not gone!

No, there is no straight forward solution.
Bottom line is once flash movie is closed, it stops it sound
and restarts the next
time you reopen. In order to play it uninterrupted, you can't
close it.
Frames will be the easiest and the only way to go if you have
multiple HTML documents. -

I realized that, I had given an incorrect location for the logfile. The database is restored, control file created, while opening the db I see this error. Is it possible to continue with the clone using rman without having to restart the whole clone. I know it can be done manually using create control file and manually applying the archives. However, Is there a way to continue the clone in rman by specifying the correct location for the logfile?

I moved some pictures from my photo stream to an album in iPhoto. The photo stream icon didn't disappear and I can't edit the picture .

Moving photos from photostream to your library just imports them, it doesn't remove it from photostream, therefore photostream won't disappear.
Photos in photostream can't be edited, you can only edit photos that have been imported from photostream. -
