Contract renewal lead time in standard sap?

Hi,
I need a report which can tell me per material (contract based), what is the lead time to renew the contract? Average consumption in production taken into account!! Case:
contract quantity 1000 PC
average consumption in factory over the past 4 months : 50 PC.
contracl renewal lead time 4 months.
Actual stock level is 400.
I assume a lot of purchasing people like to have such a report, but does it exists in SAP or does any body have a clue where to look?
Does anybody have the same experience, that this report is missing in SAP? Or do I really need (as proposed solution) work with queries?
Best Regards,
Eric.

Dera Eric,
It seems like you combine between Purchasing data and inventory data, so you need to custom a report that meet your detail requirement for 1 preview.Or you can run several SAp standard report and combine it in excell or you can use SQVI.

• Slow running time of Standard SAP Reports

Hi Experts,
Standard PS reports (such as the one with the transaction code s_alr_87013558) are taking quite a lot of time to fetch the desired results. After further analysis we have found that the time in retrieving the data from certain standard tables is the root cause behind this issue.
Is there a way in which we can speed up the processing time for fetching the results?
Regards
Varun

Hi Varun,
Other than increasing the physical memory all other are standard SAP practices to increases the performance of the reports..
The standard reports will definitely fetch the data from COEP, COSP or RPSCO tables, and these are very heavy tables.
if you are taking help from ABAPer, he should be able to do some primary indexing on these tables to see the querying is faster..
On a lighter note.. wait for HANA upgrade..

• Positive lead time

Hello,
in PP customizing, Shop floor control - operations - scheduling - define scheduling parameters for production order:
In adjust dates, i have: do not adjust basic dates, dep.reqmts to order start.
I need a positive lead time too. SAP don't permit it. WHYYY???
In our plant we need to increase several days the requirements date of material to receive the material several days after the beginning of the operation.
How could i make this????
THANK YOU ALL.

Hi,
Generally the reqmts dates of the components is initially set to the order start date of the planned order to which the components are assigned.
--- if a component is reqd earlier or later we can shift the reqmts date using the lead time off set / operation related lead time off set in the Bom Item detail screen.
Lead time off set:
if we make an entry in this field the reqmts date which is initially set order start date is moved.
Only -ve values are allowed.
ie components must be available before the scheduled start date.
Lead time offset for an Operation:
if we make an entry in this field the reqmts date which is initially set to order start date of the operation to which the components are assigned is moved.
+ve value -
components can be available after the start date of the operation.
-ve value -
components must be available before the start date of the operation.
You need to maintain these fields in BOM Item details screen Basic data.

• PO Lead Time Standard report

Hi Experts,
Do we have Standard report to monitor PO Lead time. (Time taken by Vendor to fulfill the Order)
Regards,
Jackie

Hi,
You can use the report MC$K to check the delivery date vairance for the vendor with respect to material delivery.
The delivery date variance is calculated with respect to PO Delivery Date and GR Posting Date.
To execute the report, the delivery date variance needs to be defined in transaction code MCFC at Purchasing Org. level.

• Same standard SAP prog is taking longer time in new version than older ver?

Hello
The below scenario is as batch job.
IDOC processing standard SAP FM (which is designed and working on the Parallel processing technique) is taking 45 min, in release 3.1 SAP system and if we run the same variant (same amount of input data and rest of the stuff also same) in ECC6.0 verson, its taking 5 hours!
Actually, i do not have log on ID for 3.1 release, hence i can not debug it. Pls. let me know What is the good and best approach to analyse this bad perdformence? is it ST05? or i should debug the prog and watching EACH STEP by using F5/Single step debugging?
Thank you

Hello,
please refer to the blog of Hermann Gahm about ST12 transaction and use it to trace and analyze the results.
Here is the article how to trace a running batch job: /people/hermann.gahm/blog/2009/09/22/st12--the-workprocess-trace
But in order to really optimize something you'll need expert knowledge.

Please help. This is very important.
Thanks,
Laura

Hi Laura,
The RLT can be set in the Masters Materials.MMR and Also in the Documnet Type Configuration.
But as per SAP standard Procedure the Prority will be the document type.
That means the RLT given in the Order document will overseed the RLT given in the MMR.
Go to material master and select MRP3 view. There see what is maintained for "Strategy group". Now go to OVZG, select this Requirement Class and tick the field "Rq" against this.
Now go to OVZH, select your Requirement Type and ensure that the above Requirement Class is assigned to your Requirement Type.
Now create a sale order and check in MD04.

• Lead time reffering to open SO- - -***** URGENT ***

Hello
When we create a brand new PO, the materials due date should be automatically
calculated using the materials standard Lead Time. For example, if we are to create a PO on 10/1/07 for a part that has standard Lead Time 65 days, the materials due date shouldbe automatically calculated as 10/1/07 + 65 days = 12/5/07 and the PO shouldshow that the part's statistical due date and delivery date is 12/5/07.However, recently SAP has been checking a pending sales order's furthest duedate and stretch the PO's due date to match the sales order's due date. Forexample, in the previous example the PO's due date should be 12/5/07 but if there is a sales order that is not due till 3/7/08, SAP calculates that the part
on this PO is not due till 3/6/08. This new function is affecting our PO
creation and its due date. Could you advice so that POs automatically use a
part's standard LT to calculate the part's due date instead of using SO's due
date?
I checked planned delivery time in MMR ,INFO RECS,VENDOR Checked the availability check and checking rules what could be the reason...?????

 Logistic Execution IMG Define Define routes Routes  Basic Transportation Functions Transportation routes and stages
Use the standard route and copy it as FB0001 and enter the departure zone and destination as what we created.
6) Defining Transportation Zone:
Basic Transportation Logistic Execution IMG Define transportation Router determination  Route Transportation Functions zones
Use the standard transportation zone depending on the route so as for the example use 0000000003 - Southern Region
7) Maintain country or transportation zone for shipping points
 Logistic Execution IMG  Route determination  Route  Basic Transportation Functions Transportation Maintain country and transportation zone for shipping point

1. The system determines the pricing procedure for the shipment cost item-using transportation planning point, service agent and shipment cost item category
2. Calculation Basis
3. Condition Record
4. Access sequence.
For the sales order, create a delivery using VL01N and pick the goods. Now create a shipment using VT01N and assign the delivery to the shipment document. Make sure to enter the carrier and other details before performing the transportation planning and execution. Save the shipment document and PGI for the delivery would be done automatically.
A shipment represents a physical goods movement between two or more locations.
For the system to create a shipment, shipping-relevant deliveries must exist.
You use Transportation Planning to group pending deliveries into shipments and then to perform the shipments.
The outbound delivery documents contain routes that the system calculates in route determination, and a transportation planning date for the delivery.
Dynamic transportation planning is responsible for grouping together outbound deliveries into shipments that have at least the same route, visit plan type and the same transportation planning date.
The following restrictions can be taken into account for a shipment in Dynamic Transportation Planning:
• Weight
• Volume
• Variable capacity
• Number of stops
• Maximum duration
• Loading units
Create Shipment Document
Use
After the status of the delivery is open for transportation planning, it is possible to create a shipment document to schedule the transportation.

Shipping docs (VT01) are created before PGI...
You cannot carry out transportation planning or creation of shipment after the goods issue has been executed. Once goods issue is done it means that the material has left your premises so there is no need for a transportation planning after it.
In case you need carry out the shipment documents at the end of the day you could just create the delivery documents during the day and at end of the day create the shipment documents and the goods issue

• Need Automatic Lead-time scheduling in Planned Order using MD11

All,
Our users have a requirement that when they create a planned order using MD11, they would like system to do automatic lead-time scheduling based on the "basic finish date" entered by the user. Currently the system is taking 3 days from the in-house time maintained in material master to calculate the basic start date. But users want to use the 100 days that have been maintained in the routing.
Currently users have to click on "manual scheduling" on the planned order for system to pick up 100 days from routing which is an additional step for the users. Hence users want an automatic way in which system would do lead-time schedule when they enter the basic finish date.
Thanks,
Swapnil

Dear Swapnil,
In my understanding it is the standard SAP behaviour even if you have made the necessary settings in OPU5 for the planned
order type.
If my understanding is correct, then as per this setting the MRP behaves for the particular plant and order type combination.
Whenever you create a planned order manually you have to do a detailed scheduling and then you get the production dates
for the planned order.(This might be because generally when a planned order is converted into production order the system
carries out a lead time scheduling.- Check the same and correct me if I'm wrong)
Even if you update the material master through CA97,you will not get the detailed scheduling done along with the production
dates. So you have to perform this manual activity during MD11.
What is the reason of setting the in-house production time as 3 days,if the exact production time is going to be more?
Check and revert

• Total Relenishment Lead Time vs. Routings Lead Time ( very urgent)

Hello PP Champs
Need urgent help
I am facing a scenario in current project -
My Customer service quotes for delivery to an customer with in 3 days for a stock item by seeing the availability check with Total Replenishment Lead time in MAterial Master , but when production order is created SAP schedules the same on routing Lead time basis with a date after 7 days. this seems technically correct as per Std.SAP settings
1=but How to avoid this business conflict in SAP PP module?
2=another thing we are nt using the capacity planning with this client ,but incase we get 2-3 orders with same start date and same requirement date for a single work center " how to priortise the selection of production orders" w/o capacity planning
pl consider first query as most urgent and help me
Could somebody put a thought on this and help me out.. I'll reward full points any helping hand for the same
Thx in advance
BR
Sumit

Hi,
you can define via define the checking scope opjj whether to include the RLT
in availability check or not.
Note:
Items for which the delivery date falls within the replenishment lead time, but for which there is no inventory, are confirmed for delivery after the replenishment lead time. In the case of items for which the delivery date falls after the end of the replenishment lead time, the system assumes that everything can be confirmed.
In the standard version, leave this field blank if you want the system to check the replenishment lead time.
Dependencies
If you want the system to check the replenishment lead time, you should make sure that you have entered a value in at least one of the following three fields in the material master:
GR (goods receipt) processing time (Purchasing view)
Planned delivery time (MRP I view)

• Intercompany STO lead time

Hi Guys,
We have an issue - i.e. when we create STO manually in ECC 6.0 it always add extra one day to the good issue lead time. I have checked and we have no plan delivery date on the material master, 'pick & load' at the shipping point is standard 1 hr, no lead time on the route. Also as this is intercompany STO so we do not use PIR.
Any ideas where can this one day extra lead time comes from?
Thank you.

Thanks girang. I have checked the Shipping point configuration and it is standard 1 hr for 'pick & load'. The funny thing was we tried creating STO from the same supplying plant to existing plants in SAP and they worked fine; but this problem occured when we created STO to the newly added plants into SAP. Can't figure out what is the problem...
