Contract Renewal Question - Device replacement

My current 2-year contract ends in one month. I cracked the screen on my phone about a week ago, and was about to file a claim for a replacement. My question is, does getting a replacement phone with my Total Equipment Coverage automatically renew my contract in any way, or will it still end next month as currently scheduled?

It will not affect you contract date as long as you just get a replacement, I did this a couple of months ago.

    Currently, I'm on a family plan(5 people) and we're able to upgrade our phones and contracts in July.  My family really wants to upgrade, they hate their phones, so it'll happen right around when it's available.  The question arrives here however: I am interested in getting an iPhone and a refresh of it is probably a couple months out.  If we upgrade, would I be able to defer my upgrade until the next one is released?  Or would I need to do it at the time of the contract renewal?

    Once your upgrade date occurs you can do so whenever you want.  That being said, for whomever is the account owner, you only have 6 months from when you are eligible for a 2 year upgrade to use your last NE2 credit ($35 or $50) After 6 months, you still get two year pricing, but you will not receive the add'l credit.

    Hello.  I have multiple devices on my account and just signed up with EDGE for a new phone (different line, same account owner).  When my contract phone goes up for renewal in a few months, am I still able get a subsidized phone with extending that 2-year contract at that time?

    I have a requirement to get Contract Renewal Type field from CRM. I got to know that the technical field for Contract Renewal Type field is CRMD_CUSTOMER_H-ZZYARE . This field is of data type/length CHAR 1.
    I need to get the text for the Renewal Types - for example, Auto Renewal, Periodic Renewal, Manual Renewal. There is no check table or value table or any value stored in domain level for the field ZZYARE..
    Can you please let me know from which table and how can I get the text of Contract Renewal Types ?
    And Also in which tab of t-code CRMD_ORDER, I can see this field ?

    Hi,
    As the field is a Z field, it must be visible under Customer fields Tab at header level of the contract transaction.
    Just check from which table the search help of this field is getting fetched.

  • Automatic contract renewal

    Hi Gurus
    We have a scenarios in our business where we have 'ever green contracts' . Which means unless the client / customer cancels the contract, the contracts are automatically renewd. I would like to know how we can implement this. As of now, the contract profiles do not seem to have the auto contract renewals. Will this mean customization? I know this exists on sap real estate etc and I am surprised we can't have this in SD?
    I would really appreciate if some one can provide some suggestions..

  • Question about replacing hard drive

    Hey everyone. I had a question about replacing a hard drive for a 2012 midyear pro. I have replaced hard drives before on windows machines, but this is the first mac I have owned. It didn't come with a hard drive when I bought it, but I do have mavericks installed on a usb. As far as a new hard drive, will any 2.5 laptop hard drive work? I read it needs to be 9.5mm thick. Is that correct? As far as I am concerned, hardware is hardware and should be the same as replacing a hard drive on a dell laptop but wanted to see if apple has any weird restrictions.
    Also, is there anything I need to consider or be aware of when putting in a new hard drive? Or can I just hook up the hard drive and plug in the USB and install the software onto the hard drive. Thanks

    Yes.  Any SATA drive will do with those specifications.

    Assuming that the installer is functioning correctly, install the HDD in the MBP and engage the installer.  You should come across a 4 option menu.  Select Disk Utility from it.  Open Disk Utility>Erase and format the HDD to Mac OS Extended (Journlaled).  One you finish that, you may install the OSX.

       I  am working on  Device Replacement. I have a doubt in that i have 2 device categorys(dcat) having 2 devices. s1 and s2 ,  and  another device category(dcat1) having a device  s3.  full installation is done for dcat.  i tried replacing  devices with in same device category s1 and s2 , but its showing ' Device not in specifications' . But  s1 got replaced with s3 which is not installed. Is it that we cant replace devices of same device category?

  • Question about contract renewal

    Please bear with me if this is a stupid question because I've never had a cell phone contract before this one - always used prepaid.
    My two year contract ends in October, with an upgrade date in June. I have an iPhone 4S and plan on keeping it and not getting a new phone (hope it lasts a while!). Do I have to sign another contract in October? What will happen if I don't? Will Verizon raise the price on my bill?
    Sorry if this is basic knowledge but like I said, this is my first cell phone contract. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    It stays the same price. The only things that have changed for me in the last year out of contract is the government fees and any feature changes I made.

  • Questions on replacing hard drive in Compaq CQ58 for the experts

    I have a Compaq CQ58-bf9WM, product number: C2M29UA#ABA with Window 8 version 6.2.9200 build 9200. Windows 8 is not meeting my needs and I wish to replace it. My plan is to replace the existing hard disk with a new solid state disk. I need to prepare the new disk for using the UEFI start up process and configure the UEFI BIOS to boot from the new disk. I also plan to place the hard disk with Windows 8 into a USB hard disk adapter. This will allow me to use Windows 8 when I need it by using the UEFI Boot Device menu in the UEFI Start Up Tool(or screen).
    The replacement solid state disk in order to use the UEFI start up process needs to be set with GUID Partition Table (GPT). What Windows 8 tools (e.g. old fdisk Care available to do this and where one can one find instructions for the process? If the tools are missing on this installation of Windows 8 then how can I get the necessary tools?
    According to the HP document, HP Business Notebook Computer EFI Guidelines, the replacement solid state disk there needs to be VFAT32 EFI System Partition (ESP) labeled HP_TOOLS and marked as boot present to support UEFI start up process. Presently, the existing hard drive VFAT32 ESP does not have any label? Do I need the HP_TOOLS label on the new solid state drive?
    On the VFAT32 ESP, there needs to be a directory structure of /BOOT/EFI/ with the EFI programs(boot loader, boot manager, shell, etc.). How can one register the new EFI programs (within/BOOT/EFI) to allow them to be started by UEFI Boot from File menu of the UEFI Start Up Tool?
    The VFAT32 ESP on the existing hard drive has a directory HP in /EFI. The HP directory contains directories BIOS, BIOSUPDATE, and SystemDiags. I am assuming I will need copy this directory structure and their contents to the new solid state drive VFAT32 partition. Is this correct?
    There are also two directories, boot and EFI in the HP directory on the VFAT32. The boot and EFI directories appear to contain Microsoft boot software for Windows 8. I should not need these since Windows 8 will not be on the solid state disk. Is this correct?
    Before I make any changes that affect the BIOS, I would like to make a backup copy of the BIOS and its information. How can I do this? I would also like the backup copy to be stored in the ESP BIOSUPDATE directory.
    I would like to have the UEFI Shell available on both drives(existing and new). UEFI Shell is part of the overall UEFI specification, so it should be able to be supported by the UEFI BIOS. It needs to have a signature or key file to register it. Does HP have a version of the UEFI shell with a signature file available? If yes, then how does one get a copy of files and installation instructions? If no, then how does one install the Intel provided shellx86.efi program (especially the existing drive)?

    The prices there look pretty decent. As for transferring the cloned image, what software did you use to clone? Most imaging software has a way to restore the image to a new hdd.
    I use Macrium. It creates an Image of the hdd to CD/DVD or external USB hdd. It also lets you create a bootable cd to boot from & restore the image to a new hdd.

  • Contract renewal and first  problem  VERIZON WIRELESS..." WORRY FREE" IS NOT FREE WATCH

    i JUST RENEWED MY CONTRACT ONCE MORE , AS i HAVE DONE PLENTY OF TIMES IN THE PAST , BUT THIS TIME THE PHONE i PICKED , WELL THE EXILUIM WORKED FINE FOR ABOUT ONE WEEK , BUT THEN I REALIZED IT WOULD NOT HOLD A CHARGE !, now by this time ( being with Verizon as long as I have and not having had any problems ) I had thrown the box away that the phnoe came in , well now they will not take it back because the box is gone, and they will not send me AT THE LEAST ANOTHER BATTERY FOR MY BOULDER . I cannot get anyone to help me ( a good paying customer with two active phones, ) but I will leave VERIZON AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, the way I see it they have but one chance to keep my business and that is to honor the " worry free " thing they so boast on.

    well now they will not take it back because the box is gone, Ummmm, yeah, that's what the rules are... and they will not send me AT THE LEAST ANOTHER BATTERY FOR MY BOULDER If it's your old phone, then it's on you--I replace batteries and don't expect Verizon to pay...there are lots of accessory vendors on line with awesome prices; just be sure to get an OEM battery.  I've had good service, fast delivery, and excellent products buying online. 
    I cannot get anyone to help me ( a good paying customer with two active phones, ) but I will leave VERIZON AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, the way I see it they have but one chance to keep my business and that is to honor the " worry free " thing they so boast on.  You have (had) a responsibility as well; there are conditions for returning and exchanging phones via the Worry Free Guarantee, and you don't have the original packaging.  You can keep trying, and you may eventually get a sympathetic rep.  Good luck.

  • Contract renewal rip off

    Ok so month every month we pay our bt bill - our account was in credit.
    Last month the remote started acting up (we were well out of our previous contract) however when i contacted BT they said if  I renewed my contract I would get a new box and my package price would actually come down slightly.
    I was told there would be no extra charges, and that my direct debit dates would stay the same and that my monthly amount would decrease slightly.
    So what happened?
    1) The Direct debit did not come out on the usual date - BT tried to take a few days later than normal
    2) The Direct debit amount did NOT decrease - it WENT UP by roughly 50%
    3) The direct debit was returned ( we left enough in that account to cover the usual amount but not 50% more
    4) They resubmitted the increased direct debit and took the extra money
    5) They ignored an emailed formal complaint
    6) live chat today was a complete joke
    The details are
    Including bt infinity our whole package comes to £88.89 per month - we have been paying £97.50 per month which keeps our account in credit
    However because i renewed the contract BT took £141.50 !!! 
    now apparently this is to clear the 'balance' - I questioned this because how can ther be an outstanding balance when we paid more than our bill EVERY month.
    So according to Live chat i have been billed for

    So beware - if you renew your contract it WILL cost you more money even if they tell you it wont...in my case it has cost me £52.61 plus bank charges for my 'FREE' bt vision box

    I received an email today about being able to continue my subscription for BT Sports for free for another year by renewing my contract. If I do renew the contract will this also renew my contract for my phone and broadband? If this does renew my contract for everything will I be able to receive a HH5 free of charge as I currently I have a HH3 with the white openreach modem?

    If you renew for btsports then that will renew your package for another 12 months. I would try the options team and see if you can get a better deal and at same time ask for HH5. You probably need to pay the £6.95 postage
    i would think about changing to HH5 and would read some of the posts on problems with HH5 and dropping connection

  • Broadband/Telephone Contract Renewal

    My last contract for BT broadband and telephone services ended in October.  I have received no invitation from BT to renew the contract, although I am still receiving the service and recently paid a bill.  My question is, do I still have a contract, or am I free to swap supplier without paying a penalty?

    As others have stated if you decide to use the MAC (give it to your new provider to process), then it would probably be wise to notify BT that you plan to stop the service at least 14 days in advance if that is possible. That should avoid any dispute about not giving the full notice and associated extra charges?
    Also note that if you use the MAC process then you should not be charged the £30 broadband cessation charge.

  • Contract renewal - stressful process!

    Renewed my BT broadband and calls backage for 12 months last week and I'm left thoroughly drained by the whole process. A few highlights:
    All I wanted to do was stay on the same package as I've been on for the previous 12 months at the same price. Simple? No. I was downgraded from Unlimited Anytime to Unlimited Evenings and Weekends by the back door, with no drop in price. BT justified this by saying I don't make many calls during the day. But that's not the point is it?
    I was advised I had 24 hours to cancel the contract. So, unhappy with my new deal I tried to cancel, but on ringing BT on the 27th June I was advised that BT had suffered a "huge system failure", could not access any customer records and could not process the cancellation. So I called back on 28th and asked to cancel and was told "Tough luck mate, 24 hours have passed".
    My local exchange has been fully upgraded for BT Infinity several months ago and my negihbours can get it. For some unexplained mysterious reason I cannot.
    When I renewed my contract the advisor failed to advise me I was entitled to a new Home Hub (my current one having been faulty for 6 months with BT refusing to replace it). So when I called back on the 28th, I was told I need to speak to BT Customer Options team about a new Hub. So I called Customer Options and they said speak to BT Technical. So I called Technical and they said speak to Customer Options.... Argh!
    Rant over. I need a holiday.

  • Device replacement pending from two weeks

    Dear Sir/Ma'am,
    In a huge disappointment i am writing this email to you. I bought iPhone 6, 64 GB Gold as a birthday gift to myself. Since day one it has given me network problem. I thought this could be a SIM card issue. I went to the Airtel store in Delhi and bought a factory cut nano SIM. Ever since then also the problem remained the same. No network, phone unreachable despite of having full network. I realized this even more on the iPhone because I use the Samsung phone on Airtel simultaneously. I was not facing the same on Samsung phone.. I called Apple Care to report the issue and i was told that by resorting phone through iTunes should work, after doing that also problem remained the same. Eventually I went to the service center in Preet Vihar, Delhi for a solution, sadly they did not do anything in the name of analysis and handed over device after the software update after 24 hrs. While standing the service center when i check my phone i found again my phone was on but there was no network, also the camera stopped working. I had a huge argument with the team there, and then they said that they will going to keep under observation for another 24 hrs. later in the day they called me and said that your phone has hardware issue and it will be replaced. it was submitted on 2nd April 2015 and when today i.e 6th April when i called them, i was told that replacement phone is under process and yet not delivered. i asked that they should have some tracking number of the same but they refused. Now i am so helpless and i have no where to go to get my phone back. I am writing this mail to you to seek some help in this regard. Kindly please help me coz this has been stressing me mentally and as well emotionally.
    Neither Service center nor Apple care is giving me the correct answers, please help in getting my phone back. I am without phone for more than two weeks.

    You are not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user support forum. You will need to work with the service center that has your device for answers to your questions.
    No one here could help you get your device back.
