Contribute 4 upgrade via network tool Zenworks

We are preparing to upgrade a significant number of
Contribute 2 programs to Contribute 4. We would like to use an MSI
file and our “ZENworks” network tool (ZENworks is
similar to Microsoft’s SMS). We would like to know:
1. How to provide the requisite serial number for the
installations (we received all our copies on one CD).
2. How to respond to the “Import settings?”
question with a "No"
Any other experience or tips you can share would be greatly
appreciated.

The msi file can be extracted from the setup exe using Winzip
a) Providing the serial number is not possible.
b) Import settings is an in-product feature, and the
installer plays no
part in this. Not possible again.

  • Windows 10 Upgrade via Windows Media Creation Tool ; Clean Installation

I installed Windows 10 via Media tool in usp. I cleared my hard drive partition, the Recovery and System Partition, for me to be able to install Windows 10. It went smoothly until it asks for the product key. I had Genuine Windows 8.1 with bing, and I recently bought the laptop. Is there any possible way to obtain a product key? After all, Windows 10 upgrade is for free  for Genuine Windows and I had one.

Thank you for your reply. The machine I am writing you on is the machine. I cloned the drive . However I have a new drive I want to due a clean install on.  At first I needed a key. I have no idea where it is located. On the back of the machine next to the win 8 lable it says itis located in the battery compartment. There are quite a new numbers and letter combinations there but none of them say product key. Also I was told it is imbedded into the motherboard. Any ideas on that?

  • EBS 11.5.10cu2 database upgrade using network dpimp

    Hi,
I am upgradeing all my Oracle db's to 11.2.0.2
I have done the upgrade successfully for our custom student system, bpel and OEM.
The plan I followed for this environments was:
install Oracle db 11.2 on the new server (upgrading the hardware and OS at the same time to)
    create the db
import datapump via network link the data
    del stats ,gather stats and
point the apps to the new db.
But now I am a little stuck with db EBS db . It is about 250 gig's in size, so to do test runs on the above proses takes time.
The source db is 10.2.4 running on a single instance in ASM. RHEL 5.7
The target db is 11.2.0.2 running on a single instance with grid infrastructure for standalone server, in ASM on a vmware virtual server. RHEL 5.8
The EBS consists mainly of the HR and fin modules.
    I used Note 881505.1
    Interoperability Notes
    Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i
    with Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0)
and Export/import notes on Applications 11i Database 11g [ID 557738.1]
To create the db , and then import everything
But after the import I saw there are lots of EBS objects in the system schema of the source database that was not in my target db.
How do I create these objects. It include things like views, queue tables and custom data types.
I do not want to do the imort into a 10g db and then upgrade to 11g. I want a nice clean db after the upgrade.
    thank you
    Phillip du Plooy

    Hallo Hussein,
Thanks for the reply . I saw in the following export/import parameter file ($AU_TOP/patch/115/import/auexpdp.dat ) that the sys and system schema's are also imported into the new db.
Is this not a probleme? Because I am importing into a 11g db from 10g. Will the "old" sys/system objects that is brought over not create problems for my 11g db?
I have done a network import like I described above (excluding sys en system, and afterwards recreated all the missing objects) but the EBS work flow is not working 100%
So I think if I include sys and system this will also work, but what about the 10g sys objects in my 11g db? Is there not a better way to recreate all these objects?
    Thank you
    Phillip du Plooy

  • Problems starting GlassFish via GlassFish Tools

    Hi everyone,
I am experiencing problems in starting a GlassFish Server (Open Source Edition 4.1 (build 13)) via GlassFish Tools in Eclipse Luna on my MacBook (OS X Yosemite) as described in these postings. The server is stuck at 69 % on starting up until a TimeoutException appears.
The problem can be solved though by going back to an older version of GlassFish tools (it seems 7.3.2.20141114 is the last version which is working for me).
On my Windows PC no such problems occur, even when running GlassFish tools in the latest version.
Is anyone experiencing similar issues and might provide a hint to fix this?
I really appreciate any help in this matter .
    Thanks,
    Erun

    Hi Erun
I have exactly the same configuration and exactly same problem. Do you still remember how did you solve this problem?
    kind regards

  • Windows 7 upgrade: discs will include the option for a 32 to 64-bit upgrade via a clean install?

I would like to know whether the Lenovo Windows 7 upgrade discs will include the option for a 32 to 64-bit upgrade via a clean install?  I called Mentor today and was told the answer is no, but I was hoping someone here could tell me differently.
If "no" is truly the answer, I would like to voice my complaint: The upgrade discs from Microsoft (i.e. the retail upgrade discs) include both the 32 and 64-bit versions, so I don't completely understand why Lenovo's upgrade program doesn't offer the same thing.  I purchased my T500 in August, and back then Vista Ultimate 64 was not offered, so I chose Vista Ultimate 32 thinking that I could later upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 64.  This assumption was based off of the info. on Microsoft's website indicating that all upgrades would contain the 32 and 64-bit versions.  I even customized my computer with 4 gigs of RAM thinking that I could take advantage of the extra gig once I installed Windows 7 64.
I don't understand what Lenovo or Mentor Media have to gain by restricting a 32 to 64-bit install.  I voiced this opinion to Mentor Media over the phone, who responded by saying that I should be happy since I am receiving a "free" upgrade.  I don't think this is an accurate assessment for two reasons: (1) I had to pay $17.03 for shipping, and I still haven't received the upgrade and (2) The total cost of my computer was almost $3,000, and the purchase was made a mere few weeks before Windows 7 was released.  $3,000 is a lot of money.  I waited for the details of the Windows 7 Upgrade Program to be announced BEFORE purchasing my machine.  When I finally bought my computer I accounted Windows 7 into the price I was paying.  In addition, when I bought this computer I did so expecting good customer service as a given.  Not providing a 64-bit upgrade without a rational explanation as to why does not qualify as appropriate customer service.
As most of you know, 4 gigs of RAM is useless with a 32-bit OS.  Also, NOW Lenovo is building new T500s with the option of having Windows 7 Ultimate 64 (why wasn't Vista Ultimate 64 offered when I bought my computer???).  And the price for choosing Windows 7 Ultimate 32 is EQUAL to the price for choosing Windows 7 Ultimate 64, which proves that there is no cost difference.  I just want to know what Lenovo has to gain by denying customers a 64-bit upgrade?  There would really be no additional cost since as I mentioned before, Microsoft's retail upgrade includes the 32 and 64-bit OS on one disc.  If anything I would think that it's costing Lenovo money to strip the 64-bit install from the upgrade discs.
Can anyone please address my problems?  Do you think there is anyone at Lenovo I could contact to voice my opinions?  I have been a loyal Thinkpad customer for over 5 years now, and I expect better from Lenovo.  Thank you for reading!

Is there any way to request a 64-bit OEM?  Why should Lenovo care whether I want a 32-bit or 64-bit as long as it's the same edition (Ultimate edition)?
if your system shipped with a 32-bit version of vista then you will be sent 32-bit windows 7 upgrade media.   the reason for this is two-fold.
first, because this is upgrade media, it's impossible to install a 64-bit version of windows over a 32-bit version.   doing so would require a clean installation and upgrade media simply won't allow this.   this is the case with retail media, too.   if you had 32-bit vista installed and wanted to upgrade it to 64-bit using retail media, you'd have to wipe your system or set up a dual-boot.
second, the COA (certificate of authenticity) on the bottom of your system is for vista.   because of this, your new license is of an upgrade from vista to 7.   this is how microsoft licenses it and it is their policy, not lenovo's.   microsoft's policy with OEMs is that you must install vista first, then upgrade to 7 (unless, of course, you purchased your system native with 7 on or after the 22nd).   since your original lenovo preload is of a 32-bit OS, the issue becomes circular and you'll have to refer again to the first reason.
i understand your frustration and wish this stuff were made easier for everyone.   it's repetative reading post after post of people with 4GB installed who don't understand the limitations of a 32-bit environment.   i wish both manufacturers and users switched to 64-bit OSes sooner.   the same thing happened when the industry went from 16-bit windows 3.11 to 32-bit windows NT4/95 and limitations went from 16KB all the way up to 4GB (which, in 1995, no one thought we'd ever exceed).   the difference is that people were complaining on BBSes over 14.4k modems instead of on GUI-based forums using broadband connections.   times sure have changed.

  • Editing Via Network

    Here's what we envision:
A multiple TB server or array which will allow working via network with all FCP files, including Scratch discs and other elemental parts(music, logos, etc.). I've attempted working directly from our current server but with considerable slowdowns(scrubbing clips, playback, etc.), the dreaded star-wheel of death makes a regular appearance, and just would not be efficient given our daily deadlines.
The big problem is we are stacking local drives to no end and often run into difficulty locating previously edited episodes on each others externals.
We would like to see a consolidated working area where any editor can easily locate and re-edit/re-purpose individual episodes, all the while having a common scratch area. (Note: no two editors are working on the same project at any one time, i.e. avid-style)
    Suggestions?
    Thanks in Advance!

    EditShare.
    Or XSAN, MetaSAN, SANmp, SANbox...
You need a VIDEO network. A regular old data network will not have what is required to edit streaming video. And yes, these are expensive solutions. EditShare is a big cheaper, and I like the way it does things. VERY Avid like.

I am running Yosemite and have just bought Pro Tools Express with the intent to Upgrade to Pro Tools 11. Pro Tools Express is not compatible with Yosemite and will not install. How can I get this done?

I have had this problem for close to a year. I have an Extreme base station, two Airport Express's and multiple G4 Mac's with up to date software. I have spent a huge amount of time trouble shooting, resetting, reapplying software and finally calling Applecare without any help. It would be great to get this problem solved.

  • How do I upgrade (via Apple) SSD (to 500 GB or 1 TB) on Macbook Pro Retina 13-inch, Late 2012

How do I upgrade (via Apple) SSD (to 500 GB or 1 TB) on Macbook Pro Retina 13-inch, Late 2012.
I want to know how much Apple will charge for this (if they even do this since I don't see it on their website).

Apple does not upgrade parts of a machine - they'll have it repaired under warranty, but no upgrades. You can, however, take it to an authorized service provider; no idea how much they would charge.
You can also do this yourself - here is an installation video:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/installvideos/macbookpro_13_retinadisplay_late12_unibo dy_ssd/
I bought one of their SSDs and installed it in my 2012 MBP (not retina) - very easy to do. If you want to go this way, post back for instructions on how to clone your current drive which will make things super easy.

During the setup of iOS 7 which you went through after installation it asked if you wished to create a passcode. It is possible to skip setting up a passcode at this step but you must have created one.
If you can't remember the passcode and you have enabled "find my iPad" you can use http://www.icloud.com/ to remote erase your iPad, then you can set it up again, and restore it from an iCloud backup.

  • Inkjet 2800 on different windows connected via network

    Hello,
Im using windows 7 Pro, and I can't access a printer which is connected via network on another computer with windows XP.
The problem is that, when I install the printer on windows 7, it works as long it's connected to my computer,
but, when i unplug the printer and reconnect it back to computer with XP, i'm unable to use the priter, although i installed the drivers already.
the printer is shared,i can see it on network, but can't connect to it.
the problem is only with inkjet 2800 printer,
as i use hp Laserjet cp1215 which is on the XP computer, but works fine.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello cesco,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having a communication issue when attempting to print on two separate printers at the same time.
This will be a communication issue for sure.  The computer can only send to one printer at a time. You will have to print to one printer, wait for it to finnish the print job and then send it to the other printer.
There is no way that you can print from one computer to two separate printers at the same time.
    Thanks for your time.
