Control Difuso, vision artificial y arduino

Controlling bt vision using iphone/ipad/android
I have just got an iphone and like the idea of using it to control my bt vision box.
I came accross an app called pbremote which designed to control Microsoft Mediaroom box's (like bt vision).
Does anyone tried this?
http://www.pushbutton.tv/products/pbremote-for-ipad-iphone-and-windows-phone-7YCanvas looks interesting - but it was too late for me.
I ended up developing the whole thing for offline map handling. It's been released as a desktop (Windows/OSX) version, Android, and iOS - it's in both the Apple App Store and Google Play. It's called "ActiveCaptain Companion". There's a lot more being done with it. It's basically a navigation system for boats that use our huge social navigation databases. In this first version, when you're approaching an on-the-water hazard, the app speaks to you to warn you. It's the first use of voice on boats for warnings and directions like this. There have been about 25,000 installs in the first 8 weeks. I'm expecting many more as the next set of functionality is added - there have been previous few bugs in this roll out version.
The apps are free on all platforms. -
PID control of Inverted pendulum using arduino
Hi everyone, first of all i would not class myself as a good programmer so my code is not the best to look and i have probably made loads of mistakes.i also dont have alot of experience with labview.
Background:
Im using the labview arduino interface and im trying to control the angle of an inverted pendulum using a PID algorithm. the project is part of my FYP and therefore i want to try writing my own PID algo instead of using a labview PID.vi. now the code for the PID algorithm still needs work but my main question is this.
i want to be able to control the range of pendulum angle that the control algorithm will work on. so basically i want to constantly read the angle value, then once inside a specified range the PID algo would kick in. while its not in the range the program will still run and would still be checking the angle. i was thinking of placing a case statement before and outside the PID loop to check the angle, but i think this would only work once at the start of the program. so then i taught of inserting the PID loop and the case statement inside a bigger while loop. so would this be the way to think about this or is there a better way. please all comments are welcome.

PID rev1.vi 673 KBHi. You can use the method you suggested and it will work so long as you place both the "read angle" function and the PID algorithm inside the same loop for every iteration of the control loop. Additionally I recommend you to put your VI algorithm in a sub vi to keep your code cleaner, especially if you'll place that in a case structure. You can do it easily by selecting all of the nodes (functions) you use in your algorithm and then going to Edit->Create SubVI.
Regards.

Exposure control in Vision Builder AI
Hello,
is there any way of adjusting the exposure time and/or gain of a NI17xx camera programmatically ??Hi Borst
Yes, you can set the value in vision builder. check the links for help http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/6319 and http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2B9B31A6E53A8D2586257673006482B5

LabVIEW controlled Arduino outputting self-clocking signal
Hello All,
I am trying to be able to control my LED light strip (http://www.adafruit.com/products/1376) using LabVIEW and Arduino. To do so I need to make Arduino output a digital self-clocking signal, specifically a combination of two square waves of fixed frequency with varying duty cyle. The two waves represent either a 0 or 1 to the LED strip.
0 = HIGH for 400 ns then LOW for 850 ns
1 = HIGH for 800 ns then LOW for 450 ns
In the end, using either of those waves as a bit, I would like the full signal to have 3600 bits. After one full signal the pin would remain LOW until I want to change the color again, and would send another 3600 bit signal.
(If you want more info on the data transmission protocol, there is more info here: http://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-neopixel-uberguide/advanced-coding#writing-your-own-library)
Is there a way of controlling the output of the Arduino at such high speeds through LabVIEW. If you can think of any way of doing this, please let me know.
Thanks!AFAIK, the arduino LabVIEW interface module only reads and writes pin values, and it can't do this with the timing precision you need. The only way around this is to write some arduino code, which can't be done in LabVIEW.

Order Tracking Help
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP or guide me in the right direction. It's a mare, I had the same issue when ordering BB/Phone/BT Vision for my ex wife, in the end it took 4 weeks for them to get the Vision box to me (they kept on NOT processing the order correctly each week) and when it eventually came, I got the CO3 error, NOBODY at BT India could assist, tried all the normal checks etc, kept telling me to wait 24 hours and 'it will be ok sir I assure you', it never was, in the end I read on a forum that they need to add the 'quality of service' to the order, whatever this is? I called again and suggested this and hey presto, it then worked!!!! This has happened to me twice now, why aren't they automatically doing this process? I need to order this all again now for my new apartment, going to tell them to do this, bet they don't even know what it is on the sales team!!

LIFA+servo position control
HI all, I have installed the Labview Interface for Arduino.
I just need VI s for the position control of servo motor
I have few questions regarding this
1) what is closed loop position control , can i do that with servo motor ( I am using RC servo -VS-2)
2)can i control my servo without using Arduino code , directly from m Labview
3)How to implement PID controller for position control of Servo
ThanxIf you want to control servo directly from LabVIEW, you need NI Daq card.
Your starting point should be from this link : http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3367

Weird problem installing 64 bit vision
Hello,
I have a license for 64 bit LV and the vision development module. I have a new test system, and installed LV as I normally do, and for some reason, the vision module did not install???
Windows 7, 64 bit.
It had a 32 bit version installed with vision, which I did not touch.
I ran through the disks as a normal install, rebooted and validated.
LV works as expected the in license manager shows all activated. But, vision does not show up, and all my previously written code with vision does not work, and the menus show none of the vision, even the default controls and vision pallets do not show.
Any thoughts? I am in the process of a removal of all NI software and try another install. (This is my third attempt at installing, including installing an older 64 bit version which worked before.)
Weird....
-- brettAnd yes, that is the case, the 32 bit install does show vision. But, I have the license for 64 bit vision, and have installed it before. I am using the DS2 distribution, and I thought it would automatically install the 64 bit version of both LV and Vision. I just did a clean uninstall of everything, and tried to reinstall and still does not work.
I even did a custom install, and it did not want to install the 64 bit version, it defaulted to the 32 bit version. I do have an earlier DVD distribution (2010) where the 64 bit version is on a seperate disk. But, I believe the newest distributions have both on the same disk.
Help!

Defining Centroid with Vision AI in VB
I'm usnig NI Vision Automated Inspection. Any centroid related help that I've found references the centoid function for the development software.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for using NI Vision AI to write VB code to acccomplish this?
I've already gotten the acquisition up and running.
Thanks,
BryanIt sounds like there is some confusion about Vision Builder AI and the Vision Development Module (where Centroid2 can be used). Vision Builder AI is a configurable environment for designing Vision applications. It has a step called Detect Objects that allows you to specify threshold parameters and particle filtering data to remove unwanted objects and it returns data for all the resulting objects found (including the center of mass). You can control a Vision Builder AI engine that is running on your local machine or on a remote target using the Vision Builder AI API. We recently released C support for this API in Vision Builder AI 2011, which includes a dot net example for C# and VB. This would allow you to retrieve the results for the detect object step, but the algorithm would run in the Vision Builder AI engine. Using this method would tyopically mean that all your image processing/acquisition happen within Vision Builder AI, and you just use Visual Basic to control when the Vision Builder AI engine acquires an image and processes it, but you couldn't control which algorithms it runs since this can only be defined from within the Vision Builder AI environment when you create an inspection.
The Vision Development Module is a set of vision algorithms that are meant to be called from programming languages like LabVIEW, CVI, VB, MSVC, etc. It sounds like you are using this library in Visual Basic, and if this is the case, you don't need Vision Builder AI to do the detect object step since this will go through many other layers of SW to accomplish what you want, and calling the Vision Development algorithms directly will be much more direct. Is there a reason you want to use Vision Builder AI instead of the Vision Development Module algorithms included in the ActiveX control it sounds like you are using? To get help on the ActiveX Vision Analysis library, you can go to Start>> Programs>>National Instruments>>Vision>>Documentation>>NI Vision and open the cwimaq.chm.
If all you're doing is trying to find the center of mass, using the Vision Development Module is much more straight forward than trying to create a Vision Builder AI inspection, which you control from Visual Basic and get the resuls of the inspection to figure out the center of mass from one of the steps in the inspections.
Hope this helps,

I want to load a picture from the Windows clipboard (and if not possible, then from the Labview clipboard) into actual numerical image data so that it can be processed in lab view. When I'm at the main screen where I can add controls, I see a section of controls called "Vision" in the tool bar where all the different controls can can be added from. When I go to the control called "Image" and put that on my form, and then look at the flowchart/blockdiagram programing window to see what inputs and outputs it has, I only see one output, and no inputs. And when I right click on it, I see NO way to load an image into the Image control. PLEASE help me.
Message Edited by Ben321 on 11-09-2008 04:32 PMHi Ben,
National Instruments has an image processing software called Vision and although I am not completely sure, I think the controls that you found in the control pallet are used in conjunction with the software. Depending on what kind of image processing you want to conduct in LabVIEW, you might want to consider purchasing that product.
If cost is an issue, there are functions in LabVIEW which allows you to take in image files and process them. However, please keep in mind that the capabilities are limited.
Images should be loaded onto LabVIEW not via the clipboard but through loading it from folders or directories. (There might be a way to and so if you find a way please let me know! I would like to know myself =D) If you open the function pallet by right clicking on the block diagram, in the programming folder you should find a directory called "Graphic and Sound". There, you'll find functions in which allows you to process images.
In the "Graphic Type" directory there should be a function called Read JPEG file.vi. There are also others which allows you to read png and bmp files. Please note that there are functions which write as well. Set a file path on the block diagram and inside the "Grahic and Sound" there is a "Picture Function" directory and inside there, there should be a function called "Draw Flattened Pixmap.vi" That changes the image into a format where you can process on LabVIEW. Inside the "Picture Function" directory there are several functions which allows you to process the specified image. Play around with it and see how it goes. And don't forget to Write the file in the end to save any changes.
I hope this helps

How to set Image display palette while running
I can see the palette type in property of image display reference...but i cant find any method to set it.
(The problem is that, in Labview right click on image open a menu with palette selection visible. But in EXE apllication there is no extended menu. so i want to change the paltte through control button)
Tnx for help
HaDHello HaD,
The image control is installed with either the Vision Development Module or the NI-IMAQ driver, and is not a standard component found in LabVIEW. If you have questions about the image display control or vision functions it would be better to post in the Machine Vision forum:
http://forums.ni.com/ni/board?board.id=200
In regards to your question, this menu is not available as a runtime property, and therefore the user of program will not be able to set it directly through the control. Instead, you will need to allow the user to set it programmatically in LabVIEW by use of a property node.
To create this property node, right-click on the image display icon on your program's block diagram, and select:
Create » Property Node » Palette » Palette Type.
You will then be able to change the value of this property by right-clicking on the property node icon and selecting "Change All To Write". To create a control on the front panel that the user change at runtime, right-click on the “Palette Type” input, select:
Create » Control
If you have any questions about the application architecture required to implement this design, please continue to post in the LabVIEW forum.
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Jasper
