  • DMS Document Validity date issue.

    Hello All,
I have an issue in DMS Valid from Date & Valid to date as below.
In our Document type when our document status is set to OB i.e. obsolete, in front of the status, system is showing two dates like 22.01.2014 to 31.12.9999.
We are not using change number functionality in this document type. But still system is showing two dates. When document is in RE i.e Release status system is showing 22.01.2104... date in front of the status.
Could you please let us know why it is showing two dates in front of document status.
    Thanks

    Hi,
from my point of view I can inform you that these dates are validity dates for the document. Normally these dates are filled when the document is released to show which version of the document is valid or was valid in a specific period.
By using menu "Extras" >> "Versions". Here a list of all versions should be displayed and the columns "Valid From" and "Valid to" should show the validity dates.
Normally these date values are only filled when the status has set the "release" flag in transaction DC10.
    Best regards,
    Christoph

  • Valid Dates

I have a table that accepts 3-part dates as:
    DAY_C VARCHAR2 (2),
    MONTH_C VARCHAR2 (3) and
    YEAR_C VARCHAR(4).
Because these are transcribed from hand-written pages and entered at
high speed there are often mistakes:
    e.g. MONTH_C = 'JIN' or YEAR_C = '200M'.
How can I check that all the entries are valid date values?
Or better, prevent them from being entered?
    Thanks
    Danepc

Assuming that you can't get your columns changed into one date column, and that you have to live with this (IMO) rubbish design, then I'd seriously consider making the day_c and year_c columns to number datatype.
And a constraint on month_c to hold only JAN, FEB, MAR, etc.
And constraints on the day_c column to hold 1-31, and on year_c to be four digits long (and greater than a certain year, if that's applicable).
But really, I'd be aching to create one date type column.

  • CoCd validation in controlling area

    Hi Gurus,
I want to activate CoCd validation checkbox in the controlling area using OKKP.
This controlling area I want to change is active for some years.
When i try to do it, I get a critical warning message although it's possible (because the co.area is active).
I have also the option to do it as of date, and open a new record from 2010 year with this indicator.
    What option is preferred?
Can you see any problem with any of these options?
    Thanks
    Ofer

    HI Eugene,
    Thanks
This is the messege I get:
Critical transport: Control indicator in controlling area
    Message no. KT364
    Diagnosis
You want to transport the control indicators in controlling area . These indicators include All currencies. Transporting this indicator can result in serious data inconsistencies in the target system, if:
As a result of the transport, the indicator is changed in the target system and
In the target system, you already planned or made account assignments to CO objects (cost centers or orders for example).
    Procedure
If the target system already contains transaction data for CO objects from the controlling area, you should carry out the transport only if this does not change the indicator in the target system.
You can check the indicator in the Implementation Guide under:
Controlling -> General Controlling -> Production Start-Up Preparation -> Set "Update All Currencies" Indicator.
    Choose Display indicator.
    Note
Not that the entries displayed are the fiscal years as of which the indicator is active or inactive. This status holds until a new entry is made.
    Examples
The target system already contains control indicators for 1994, 1997 and 2003. The following validity periods then exist:
Control indicator for year Validity period All currencies
    1994 1994 - 1996 X
    1997 1997 - 2002 X
    2003 2003 - 9999 X
If the source system also contains an entry for the fiscal year 2000, for which the indicator is inactive, transporting the indicator would lead to the following:
    1994 1994 - 1996 X
    1997 1997 - 1999 X
    2000 2000 - 2002
    2003 2003 - 9999 X
In other words, for the period 2000 - 2002, the indicator would not be active in the target system.
    Procedure for System Administration
    Thanks
    Ofer

this first row showing controlling area is blank and Language is also Blank, with no controlling area which is causing errors after data is being loaded into cubes. user is saying this is duplicate data, please advice what action will I take on this, it is production issue please respond ASAP.
    Many thanks in advice.
    Thanks,
    Kumar.

    Kumar,
You said you are getting data from R/3 & Flat files...
In this case probably there could be un assigned comm structure in case of Flat file check Comm/Trans structure...

  • RA data only updated in Controlling Area currency..

    Hi Guys,
When we run the Results Analysis for WBS Elements, we are getting the message " RA data only updated in Controlling Area Currency ".
How can we make this message gone or why is the system updating only in CO Area Currency.
    Thanks
    Srik.

    Hi,
The company code currency for this WBS is different from the Co Area Currency assigned in the Co Area definition.
However still system is updating only in the Co Area Currency.
    Thanks,
    srik.

  • Create Table/View with Validity Date Control?

    Hi,
does anyone know the easiest way for me to create a custom view that uses validity dates to control records by time periods, similar to time constraint 1 infotypes in HR?
For instance, if I define a table to store entries like so
    Client (Key): 100
    PSubArea (Key): C001
    Grouping (Key): 01
    End Date (Key): 99991231
    Begin Date: 18000101
and I want to ensure that there can only be one record active on any given date, how can I prevent someone from creating a record from 20061107 - 20071107 that overlaps the existing record?
Is there a setting I missed?
Add conditions to generated view coding? Is there a good example?
    Thanks

    K, so I found these

  • Why we are not using "Message Control" for Master data ?

    Hi friends,
We are using Message control as output determination for Transactional data, <b>what is the main reason for not using the msg control for Master data.</b>Please explain with details...
I am very thankful to them...
    Thanks and Regards.
    <i><b>Naveen Kumar. Chamala</b></i>

    Hi Naveen,
Listing down those I know -
       1. Master data is expected to be changed/created less frequestly.
       2. Transactional data is expected to be chnaged/created more frequestly.
       3. Transactions to create/change/display master data do no have message control integration, since you are not supposed to print/fax/mail master data to your partners.
       4. Distribution of master data in generally supposed to happen within Enterprise boundry and typically you will have one central server maintaining master data which will be distributed to multiple downstream operation system (Some thing where MDM fits). So ideally when distributing master data using ALE you will be sending it to multiple systems.
       5. Distributing transactional data PO/SO etc is same as sending fax/print which fits with the requirement of message control.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Sanjeev

  • How are valid-from and valid-to dates set in TRPROD table in APO during CIF

    First question:
How are the valid-from and valid-to dates set in the APO TRPROD table?
For example, if I activate a transportaion lane model on March 1, 2008, will the valid-from and valid-to in TRPROD be 20080301 and 99991231?
Or are these dates defined in the model itself? Or in APO config somewhere?
    Next question:
Suppose I rerun the model on May 1 2008 to add some records that didn't get added in the March 1 run.  But suppose I want to back-date the valid-from of these records to March 1, rather than use May 1 as the valid-from.
    Can this be done?
Or is the valid-from always the date of the CIF that creates the TRPROD records?
    Please advise.
    Thanks

    Hi Srinivas -
Thanks very much for replying so quickly, but your response didn't answer the questions.
    Let me try again.
    1)
If I run a CIF on March 1 2008 based on a model that will generate APO TLane data, will the TRPROD valid-from and valid-to get automatically set to 20080301 and 99991231?
    2)
If the answer to this question is yes, then is it also true that if I run a new set of records in on May 1, 2008 (no duplications with the original set), then the valid-from and valid-to dates will be 20080501 and 99991231.
    3)
But if (1) and (2) are both true (if you answer them both "yes", then suppose I want the May 1 record set to have valid-from dates of March 1 (for example, if the May 1 record set includes records that didn't get included in the March 1 set due to an error in selection criteria).  How do I get the valid-from to be March 1 when I run the CIF on May 1?
On the other hand, if (1) and (2) are NOT true, then how DO the two dates get set during a CIF ????
    Thanks

  • ARQ: Are "Valid From" and "Valid To" dates are considered for risk analysis???

    Hi All,
I have one question w.r.t. risk analysis of user while raising a request in ARQ.
I have noticed that, when a user is assigned 2 conflicting roles in a request (with "Valid From" and "Valid To" fields being the same), ARQ shows risk violations properly.
This is quite logical, because user is assigned conflicting roles within the same dates.
In another scenario, if a user is assigned 2 conflicting roles in a request (with "Valid From" and "Valid To" fields being different)
    Example:
    Time Administration : Valid From=15.06.2014 and Valid To= 31.12.2014
Payroll Administrator: Valid From=20.06.2014 and Valid To= 31.12.2014
ARA still shows as violations (in ARQ)! Though the "Valid From" dates are different.
Logically, user is not assigned these roles at the same time to cause a risk violations. However, system is showing violations.
May I know if validity dates are considered while performing risk analysis in ARQ? If no, then what could be the justification?
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Faisal

    Rafal,
    Thanks for your reply.
Does it mean that all future dates will be considered while analysis?
    OR
    Does ARA consider these dates?
    Regards,
    Faisal

You are getting this message because you are trying to create an iCloud account on a PC.  You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher.  After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account using this ID on your PC.

  • BOM Valid Date

    Hi,
While creating BOM due to some human error we took wrong valid date. Now i want to change it.
Please suggest me the T-code or any customization to change the same.
    "I am online"

    Dear Pawar
This are the basic IMG settings in order to used the engineering change management
    features.
    x refers to a tick.
First setup the control data in OS54.
    Revision sections
    Fields :-
    Revision level active            x
    Ext. revision level              x
    Higher revision level            x
    Object Management Record sections
    Fields :-
    Object maintenance               x
    Assign alternative date          x
    Overide value/assignment date sections
    Fields :-
Only with leading change mst.    x
Setting the Revision level active is to activate the engineering change management for
material master.  If you do not want the engineering change management for materials,
    remove the tick.
With a tick in "Higher revision level", the new revision level has to be always higher
    than the old revision.
Secondly, setup the external number range in OS53.
If you use the internal number range, then remove the external number range.
Third, define the status for the change master records in transaction SM30 - V_T419S.
Change No.     Chg        Date Chg     Dist. Lock      Description
    Status         Poss
      1             x            x             ' '         Active
      2            ' '          ' '            ' '         Inactive
      3            ' '          ' '             x          Locked
Fourth, define modification parameters for the BOM in OS27.
    Fields :-
    BOM Validty Maint.               x
    EC Management Active             x
    History Requirement             ' '
    Unit Piece                      PC
The rest of the fields are blank.
If the History Requirement is tick, every time during creation of the BOM, SAP will
prompt your for an ECN number as is compulsory.
Lastly, define fields selection for routing in OP5A.
PP task lists: initial screen -> Change number -> Transaction code -> Tick Req.
Setting the Transaction code fields Required indicate that you have make the ECN number ........
