Using: Microsoft Outlook 2007
Feature: Convert to Adobe PDF
Issue: Unable to convert encrypted emails to PDF Portfolio. I can open the encrypted email and convert it to PDF (single email to single PDF). However, I cannot select multiple emails in a folder (i.e., Inbox), some encrypted/some not encrypted, or all encrypted, and then convert to PDF (portfolio PDF). I can select multiple emails that are not encrypted and convert them to a portfolio PDF just fine. It is the encrypted emails that are failing.
Does anyone have a solution, a setting that must be changed, or a process that must be followed to make this work?

Converting emails to PDF's

I have hundreds of emails that I have to save as individual PDF files. I'm looking for a much more efficient way to accomplish this other than opening one at a time and then printing each individual one to a PDF. Is there a way to do this in bulk? They must be saved as individual files.

I wonder if the response from a prior post might work from within your email program...if so it would be lots easier than downloading some printing utility. Here's how the response read:
Select all the items in the Finder.
Right click - Open with Preview. (in this case, open with your email program)
Open the Sidebar (Shift Command D) or menu View -> Sidebar. (ignore this step)
Select all the items in the sidebar (select the 1st then Shift click the last). (select all your emails)
File -> Print selected images...
Select how many pix you want on each page and the Size then click Print.

Has anyone found a way to save emails to pdf or jpeg

I need a way to save the email itself from the ipad Mail app. An example would be the airline reservation emails I receive. I would like to save these as pdf's.
I can copy the contents of the email and paste them into other apps then turn this into a pdf. The formatting is rarely preserved when I use this method. I would really like to find a way to do this directly from Mail. Have you found an app that does this?

I have Save2PDF (I'm trying out a bunch of PDF/printing apps for a class I'm designing so I really didn't look at the price). It works fine to convert emails to PDFs, and once the email is saved to the Save2PDF app, it can be routed to DropBox, which I find super convenient. The only thing to remember is you have to have Save2PDF running or it won't appear in the "Print" menu in Mail.
And yes, you can take a screen shot of an email (although most of my emails would take multiple screeshots!)--just press the home button and the off switch at the same time. The screenshot will show up in your Photos, and from there you can send it to MobileMe, but not (AFAIK) to DropBox.
For me and the way I work, I'm glad to have Save2PDF, especially as I'm tring to do as much as possible with my iPad instead of my MacBook.

Convert spool to pdf and send in email sometimes attachment duplicated.

Hi all, I have a process that creates a spool, converts it to a pdf and then attaches it to an email. My problem is that sometimes, the same attachment is duplicated.
The process seems to work fine in debug mode (the attachment changes for each loop) but when I run it in the background, every few emails, it will duplicate an attachment.
I have noticed that the size of the pdf seems to change properly but that the content of the pdf does not match. So, it is like it gets the correct size of the pdf but not the body.
This is code that a consultant wrote and I am pretty new to abap/sap. I have changed some of the code because it was trying to handle an endless loop (I figured it should not have to handle (be in) an endless loop). I changed that code and it is working but this previous issue still exists. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your response, this has allowed me to identify the problem. It is when I create the spool by using the code below. If I add a wait after this, the program works successfully. Is there another way to write the data to create a spool within my initial program rather than doing the submit? Could it be that it is putting data in memory?

Nothing has been converted. You first need to convince yourself of this.
Start Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat, if you have it). Use Open from the File menu. Pick one of your PDF files. Does it open OK? If not, what happens?
Ok, these emails. What exactly happens when trying to open them?

Batch Convert .msg emails to PDF with Acrobat

Seem to be having a problem converting a large amount of emails to PDF using the Acrobat plug-in in Outlook 2007. Following are system setup:
Office 2007
XP Pro
Acrobat 9 Standard
We have a large volume of emails stored in Worldox GX2 and I want to convert them to PDF from Outlook. I check the files out of Worldox to a local folder and drag and drop the .msg files to a folder in Outlook. When I try to select any number of them and then convert to PDF I get the following error:

From: , Subject: , Date: , Status: Not an email message
This happens even if I try to convert just one email. HOWEVER, if I open any given email then by double-clicking it in the outlook folder and then file-convert to PDF, it converts fine. What?!?!

Background Submit to Spool, convert spool to PDF send via email

I am calling an ABAP in the background. this abap makes use of a custom table as the main driver ie on each change of vendor within this custom table I want to create a spool and email the spool - the spool is suppossed to be created via a submit RMCB0300 with screen selection to to sap-spool and return. I then want the program to take the spool convert it to PDF and email.
Problems I am encountering:
1. writing to the spool via background ABAP as follows
   submit RMCB0300 with selection-table rspar
              to sap-spool
              spool parameters %_print
             archive parameters %_archive
             without spool dynpro and return.
Doesn't appear to be creating the spool - rspar is populated.
2. Best way to retrieve the correct spool number.
3. how to successfully convert PDF output after CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF for email attachment - if this returns IT_PDF_OUTPUT.
is this the best way to do it:
Loop at IT_PDF_OUTPUT
      Translate IT_PDF_OUTPUT using ' ~'.
      concatenate gd_buffer it_pdf_output into gd_buffer
    endloop.
   translate gd_buffer using '~ '
Do it_mess_att = gd_buffer.
     append it_mess_att.
     shift gd_buffer left by 255 places

Convert spool to PDF and send as email attachment

When i try to convert SAP spool to PDF and send it as email attachment, size of PDF document becomes large as compared to size of the PDF cocument i download using the same spool.
I am using following FMs.
CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF to convert spool to PDF
and
SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send email with attchment.
some times size of attchment exceeds 2MB and email results in error in SAP connect (SOST).
Any idea on how to compress the PDF attchment??

In your JavaMail download there is a directory containing examples of JavaMail code. One of those examples covers your first question.
And the second question ("How do I convert a GIF file to PDF?") isn't a question about JavaMail.

The way to achieve your goal depends on how you get PO printed - by sapscript, smartform or abap list.
As have been mentioned you can create spool request and process it. But for sapscript and smartform you can proceed without spool request - just get back OTF data from corresponding FM and convert it to PDF.

Adobe Acrobat X - convert outlook email to pdf and include attachments as pdf

Is there a way to save an Outlook email as a PDF and include attachments as extra pages within the same PDF? I know I can convert an email to PDF and it will include the attachments as links. My end users feel that their clients won't understand the link feature, and/or the paper clip on the side pane. They'd rather convert an email and have it's attachments converted also, making the pdf an email message + converted attachments....all in one process. The only way currently is to open each attachment and convert them individially, then combine the email pdf and attachment pdf together. Too many steps involveed there.

If Excel works as do other apps, you should be able to tap and hold on the attachment and then select "Open in Excel" in the window that will open. Note that you need to be subscribed to and signed into Office 365 to be able to edit documents in Microsoft's apps.
