Converted outlined text not distilling properly

I'm not sure if this is an Illustrator issue or an Acrobat distiller plug-in issue or even a font, if someone can shed some light I would be so grateful.
I'm using the Mac CS3 design standard suite and the type family I'm using is Avenir on my MacBook Pro at home and a CS2 on a PC at work and the same issue happens on both platforms.
My newspaper only wants ads that are saved is a press optimized pdf with all type made into outlines.
When I view the text conversion in Illustrator's preview mode, all the text look accurate; all the I's and L's are outlined rectangles.
When I save the file as a pdf, with the press optimized setting and then view it in Acrobat, the I's and L's looks strange. When print to my proofing laser the kerning between the any i or l character is increased.
I will open this pdf in Illustrator and turn on the preview mode, Inotice that the I's and L's are no longer outlines but are now are two points (a vector stroke).
Any users out there have a solution other then manually creating I's and L's with the rectangle tool?

I outline text by highlighting the text and then select the Create Outline command under the Type pull-down menu. Never thought of flattening - the document only had two text blocks on one layer on top of a layer that had a placed tif image and a logo (that was completely vector art); I usually only use the flattening command when I use the transparency filter.

Rotated text not rendering properly

I'm using SSRS 2008 R2 integrated with SharePoint 2010. In Report Builder 3, i have set the text to Rotate270 and it looks fine. When i save file to sharepoint and view it in the browser, the text is no longer properly positioned in the cell, see below.
Is this a bug? does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

This is not supported in Report viewer when you see the same report from application/explorer view..
for this 270 Degree rotation, you will have to write VB code and from that you can easily convert your text to 270 Degree rotation.
from my point of view and RnD, there is only way to convert 270 Degree rotation in reports.

Is there a way to convert outlined text back into live text?

I have an Illustrator CS3 doc in which all text has been converted to outlines. (I wish I had an intelligent answer to the question of why I don't have the original doc with live text, but...) I remember seeing a post some time ago that explained how to change the outlines back into live text, which may have involved making a pdf or something, but I can't find that post anywhere in the Adobe forums. Does anyone know how to do this, if it can even be done? Thanks!

I had to test it. Yes, you can use Acrobat Pro to OCR the text. First you'll need to rasterize the outlined text in AI (at 300dpi bitmap) and save as PDF. Then open in Acrobat and go to "Documents>OCR Text Recognition" to convert the image to text. Click "Edit" in the "Recognize Text dialog window and select "Formatted Text & Graphics" to view only the text in Acrobat. Save and re-open in AI. The text will be editable, but broken into individual words. You can cut multiple words to the clipboard then click with the text tool and paste, to merge the text into a contiguous sentence, but you'll lose the spaces. Exporting as text from Acrobat may be a better route.

Myanmar Burmese text not showing properly on Richtextbox c#

Can't get Myanmar Burmese text to display properly on Richtextbox c#, I get some boxes instead of real text, any advise ?
I’ve already tried several fonts without success, unless there is a font, that I don't know about, or is not installed in the system by default...

The resulttext function assigns or retrieves the text
to and from the resultbox, the aligntext aligns text in the richtextbox
according to the language like Arabic needs right to left orientation:

Nothing extraordinary only the Myanmar does not work other languages work fine some languages need a specific font to work with like for instance : Romanian needs Arial to be the

Text not appearing properly (more difficult then it sounds)

I have been trying to figure this thing out for a while. I
gave up and am going at it again. I have a couple of website in
languages other then english (Chinese, Korean, and Russian, to name
a few). The developer created the pages in HTML, without using
includes (don't ask me why), I have taken it upon myself to convert
these pages to CFML pages (as this is what the main site is in) and
use include file and pretty it up a bit. For some reason though,
the Chinese text is not showing up when I resave it as a .cfm page.
In the editor it looks fine, but when I open it up on the site,
everything looks like crap. Please do not insult me by saying to
add the "<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html;
charset=gb2312">" or utf-8, seriously.. I am stuck, can someone
please please help me with this... I am giving up hope!

I've loaded and parsed some xhtml in my DataManager class that is validated against the W3C strict dtd.I'm pushing certian bits of this into public arrays in my DataManager. Upon further investigation i figured out what was wrong.
This property :
bulletText .fontWeight = "bold";
was causing my text to not render because bold character weren't used within the symbol associated with the class. By removing that and cleaning up the code a bit ,

Text Area for long text not appearing properly for BBP_POC_DISPLAY Service

Hi,
In our development we have added additional Icon at ITS in Process PO transaction and onclicking that icon Web dynpro AB screen called with the Purchase Order No of selected row .(SRM 5.0)
There is one more icon in Web dynpro screen on click of that Purchase order service open in ITS with display mode .This is achieved with service BBP_POC_DISPLAY from Web Dynpro-AB.
This is also working ok only the issue is in Document tab of PO The Text Area for long text appear at Top .This functionality is working fine with BBP_POC service from ITS .
Has anybody faced this kind of issue ?

I am unsure of the additional component you are talking about. In general, issues with text area misplacing, is solved by note 1067625. May be you can check it.

Text not saving properly in Acrobat Pro XI

I use Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. When I use the add text function, everything shows up correctly. I save the file and close it. Later on, when I open the saved file, some of the text (especially capital letters and symbols) show up as little boxes with an X in them. I have to highlight, cut, and paste everything in order for the text to show back up. Once it happens one time, it usually does not happen again. However, if I open up a document, fix the boxes, add additional notes, those notes then turn into boxed Xs the next time I open the document.
How do I fix this?

Is Acrobat 11 updated to the latest patch v11.0.09?
Does this happen with any specific font?
Try repairing Acrobat and check if it resolves the problem.

HTML text not showing properly in CR 11

I am trying to display the html text in the crystal report but the first screen shot displays something ugly text interpretation:
But when i change the text interpretation to HTML then instead of showing nice html tags like ul, li AND table tags it is not recognizing the html tags at all
is there any way to display the html nicely???????

Not all HTML tags are supported by CR.
Per KB 1657131, the supported HTML tags in CR2008 and later are:

Greek Text Not Displaying Properly (Characters being replaced with different ones)

Hi,
I am using Adobe Photoshop CS3. I have a spreadsheet of Greek translations. When I copy and paste the text into Photoshop, certain characters are missed out or replaced with an incorrect one. I have tried downloading fonts that support the Greek character set, but still no luck. If I paste this text into any other applications (Word, explorer etc) the text displays properly. I was wandering if there is a setting or anything in photoshop that I need to change? It seems to be an issue with this application only.

Have you tried to set your system language to a European setting, e.g. Ireland or UK? Seems like an issue with incorrect Unicode conversion. Also turn off OpenType features for automated glyph replacement in the menu of the Character palette...

I have downloaded PDF Converter and its not working properly

the pdf I am attempting to convert to edit is not working. I have converted it to all that is available and the lines are off in someplaces and some data is in the wrong place when I try to Move it I can't or it makes it worse. what can I do?

Subtitles & other text not displaying properly safari & firefox

some text in Safari and Firefox is seriously degraded. I changed to Firefox because Safari was displaying wrongly, but Firefox has the same problem. See image:
I cannot use subtitles on BBC streamed movies either, and the timing of the movies on the bottom ribbon do not display either
I am using Lion 10.7.5
Is there a solution for this problem?
