Converting string(which is an xml from the java side) to xml in flex

Hi,
   I have an xml from the java side which i send as string over amf. I need to convert this to xmllist or xml and bind it to a tree. Could some one help me in doing this. My label field needs to be displayName
this is my xml that comes as string to the flex side
<Menu>
  <MenuItem>
    <id>1</id>
    <displayName>Add</displayName>
    <menuList>
      <MenuItem>
        <id>3</id>
        <displayName>Form1</displayName>
        <menuList/>
      </MenuItem>
      <MenuItem>
        <id>4</id>
        <displayName>Form2</displayName>
        <menuList/>
      </MenuItem>
    </menuList>
  </MenuItem>
  <MenuItem>
    <id>2</id>
    <displayName>Delete</displayName>
    <menuList>
      <MenuItem>
        <id>5</id>
        <displayName>Form1</displayName>
        <menuList/>
      </MenuItem>
      <MenuItem>
        <id>6</id>
        <displayName>Form2</displayName>
        <menuList/>
      </MenuItem>
    </menuList>
  </MenuItem>
</Menu>

Well, for Binding you will probably need to further convert to XMLListCollection or ArrayCollection.
Not sure.
However, that is the way to convert String to XML.

  • How do I get (in c) a method return value from the java side?

    I have a class in the Java side, that I pass as object to the c side.
    in the Java class I have the following method:
    public String getPgmId()
    return pgmId;
    where pgmId is a private string.
    I nees to get the value of pgmId, hopefully by using the getPgmId method.
    what I have until now is:
    JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_JavaAPI_StartProgram (JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jobject obj2)
    jmethodID methID;
    jstring jstr;
    const char *str;
    /* Get a reference to obj2 class */
    jclass cls = (*env)->GetObjectClass (env, obj2);
    if (cls == NULL){
    return;
    methID = (*env)->GetMethodID (env, cls, "getPgmId", "()Ljava/lang/String;");
    }//StartProgram
    my question is how from this point, can I get the return value of the method getPgmId().
    tnx

    jString CallStringMethod(env, obj2, methID);

    Workflow Business Events help creating Generate Function to generate an XML payload that in turn is made available to the Subscription's Rule Function. Also, at the time of Raising the Business Event, you could pass the XML payload (in the form of a CLOB) to the Raise API that will be passed along to the Business Event's Subscription Rule Function.
    Hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to create a table from the input of an XML file

    Hi,
    Must the table exist when I try to parse data from an XML file, or can I tell the parser to create the table if it doesn't exists.
    thanks
    Rune Haavik

    Rune,
    XML Parsing on Java side does not require any table(s) to be present.
    If you are talking about PLSQL parsers, then I guess you can catch the exception in your PLSQL block and then create a table. This falls in the SQL realm.
    I hope this answers your question.

  • I know this is supposedly not possible, but I need to retrieve a specific voicemail from my iPhone which was also "cleared" from the Deleted Messages box. Any suggestions?

    I know this is supposedly not possible, but I need to retrieve a specific voicemail from my iPhone which was also "cleared" from the Deleted Messages box. Any suggestions?
    This is highly important. I know the number from which the voicemail arrived, but have not been able to figure out how to retrieve it. I accidentally had the voicemail in the Deleted Messages folder, and then Cleared this folder. If there is any possible way I might be able to retrieve this message, even if there is a cost associated with it, please help me.
    Thank you.

    I think you maybe able to restore from backup if that voicemail was included in the backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766

  • User exits which can be called from the bapi BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN

    Hi Experts,
    I was trying to change work orders using the BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN, but this does not allow me to update the order address, one way of updating the address is using recording, but i was looking for a way  in which we can use some user exit which will be called from the BAPI so that i can update the address number in the final structure before the work order is saved (without having to go for recording)?

    Hi,
    you have restrictions to this .
    Refurbishment orders are not supported.
    The estimated costs cannot be processed - only the estimated overall costs of the order.
    Notification data cannot be processed with the order BAPI, even if the settings in Customizing are such that the orders and notifications can be maintained on one screen. However, the system will create a notification with the order if this is specified in the Customizing settings.
    Permits cannot be processed.
    The order addresses cannot be processed.
    Individual partner addresses cannot be maintained.

  • How is the java.lang.StringBuffer class different from the java.lang.String

    How is the java.lang.StringBuffer class different from the java.lang.String class?....

    Read the API.
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/lang/String.html
    "Strings are constant; their values cannot be changed after they are created. String buffers support mutable strings."
    Although when possible you should use StringBuilder instead of StringBuffer.
    Always read the API at the very least before asking questions in the forums. Ideally you should do some google searching and poke around for an answer too. Otherwise you will get people barking at you.

    Hi ,
       for this Error one and only one solution
    go to view Code, line number and Column number shown in error message,
    and Remove code from there till last and save it,  it happens when we are moving Package from one server to another server. and VS adds some lines of code at the bottom of package
    something like this

  • I have an iphone 4 and iphone 5 and i set up the iphone 5 using the icloud backup from the iphone 4 and i forgot to disconnect the icloud before i deleted the contacts on the iphone 4 which then deleted them from the iphone 5 is there anyway of restoring

    I have an iphone 4 and iphone 5 and i have set up the 5 with a backup from the icloud. But i didn't disconnect the old phone (iphone 4) form the icloud and deleted some contacts which also deleted them from the 5. I have restored them from a previous back up but after i did that i deleted the iphone 4 from the icloud which also deleted the conatcts from the 5 again as i didnt back up. Is there anyway of restoring the conatcts now?

    If you still have the same back up you can restore from back up again. Unfortunately you will have to do something fast and unusual in the process of restore. As soon as you have access to your phone - you need to go to settings - icloud and turn off your contacts sync. You need to do that fast enough so your icloud will not have time to sync "0" contacts back to the phone. That way when your restore is completed you get your contacts. You will have less then 1 minute to complete what I told you. If the contacts are gone anyway, either you were not fast enough, or your back up was overwritten already.

  • Can I again downlaod music which I previously purchased from the Itunes.

    My computer crashed and now I can't access my saved Itunes music. Can I downlaod music which I previously purchased from the Itunes store a second time (so I can put on my new computer).
    Since I bought the music once, I shouldn't have to buy it again....right?

    Well, when you buy something from iTunes you can only download it from them once.
    You can e-mail them here and see if they can let you re-download the files
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store
    Or, you can try to sync the purchases back off your iPod using iTunes 7
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93366
    Or, you can always download a third party application to transfer everything off your iPod, such as iPodRip or iPodUtil.

    How do I recover system preferences which I accidentally trashed from the dock

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
    Although you removed System Preferences from the Dock, you still have it, because it is stored in the Applications folder.
    To get the System Preferences icon back in the Dock, open a Finder window and select Applications in the Finder sidebar. Then, look for the System Preferences icon, and if you find it, drag it to the Dock

    Try Amazon but look for the iWork suite of software. It's only sold separately as Pages, Keynote, and Numbers from the App Store.

  • Uc540 to Callmanager all working but no Voicemail from the Callamanger side

    I have created a connection between the UC540 and Cisco Callmanager 6.  I am using a H323 gateway connection and can call each site via 4 didgit dialing.   My issue is that the calls from the Callmanager side trying to go to the UC540 side can not hear VOICEMAIL prompts.  It goes into a fast busy.  Calling from teh Uc540 side to the Callmanager side is fine.  I can get phones and voicemail mail.  Has anyone had any experience with this?  I do notice that my Dial-peer to the callmanager side is H323... but the dial-peer to the Voicemail side of UC540 is SIP.  Has anyone got this working?  I have full connectivity to each VLAN from each IP subnet.  I can PING all Voice and Data VLANS.  One thing to know is this is using a site to site VPN connection as well.. so their is also a tunnel involved... but everything is working and I have connectivity.

    Chapter 29 is missing from "The Java EE 6 Tutorial, Volume II"
    This is all that is available (on a single page):
    Advanced Concepts in Java EE Security.
    This chapter provides more information on securing applications.
    Advanced Concepts in Java EE Security
    After you have read the introductory chapters in Java EE Security, read this
    chapter to learn more about using annotations
    Anyone know where I can actually find the elusive Chapter 29?
    Also, although Oracle recognizes that the document exists (https://www.sun.com/offers/details/java_ee6_tutorial.xml), you can no longer download it (+The offer you are looking for is no longer available.+).

    Got the solution, need to include /faces before the Login and Error page in the <login-config> entry as follows:
    <login-config>
    <auth-method>FORM</auth-method>
    <realm-name>file</realm-name>
    <form-login-config>
    *<form-login-page>/faces/Login.xhtml</form-login-page>*
    *<form-error-page>/faces/Error.xhtml</form-error-page>*
    </form-login-config>
    </login-config>
    This configuration works fine with all the browsers including Internet Explorer.
