Cookies Are Not Removed ...

I'm running Mac OS 10.7.3 & Safari 5.1.3
When I try to remove "all web site data" it stays around.
Here's what I do:
1. Safari menu >> Reset Safari ...
2.  Safari menu >> Preferences >> Privacy >> Cookies and other website data: Remove All Website Data ... >> close Preferences
3.  Safari menu >> Preferences >> Privacy >> ## websites stored cookies or other data re-appears.
It seems to cycle through layers of cookies. What's up with this? Is there a way – within the Mac OS, not 3rd party software to assuredly remove all cookies?
Thanks  - Fabe

Fabe,
In the Preferences / Privacy window, click on the "Details..." button. Select all the web sites that in the pop down window. Shift-click the first and last if the list is long. The click "Remove". Do not use the "Remove All" button. This will eliminate all web sites and their cookies until the next web site you click on. Capiche?

  • Cookies are not saved (login info, cookie acceptance, bank cookies etc)

Cookies are not being saved. examples: if I log into the telegraph site the login does not persist, if I accept the cookies from The Register I get asked again, If I set my location on the BBC news site it resets, the same with my bank website.
    I have tried:
    disabling all add-ons
    resetting firefox
uninstalling and reinstalling firefox (no add-ons at all)
    deleting my user config files
deleting anything to do with firefox and reinstalling
    unsyncing firefox
I'm tearing my hair out now lol. It's making it impossible to use firefox (especialy with banks that set a cookie to recognise the pc etc)
Any ideas what could be wrong or what else to try to locate the problem?

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
    *do not clear the Cookies
*do not clear the Site Preferences
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Clear+Recent+History
Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep.
It is possible that the <i>cookies.sqlite</i> file that stores the cookies is corrupted if clearing cookies doesn't work.
Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

  • Cookies are not read

    Dear sirs,
I develop a web-site which uses cookies. A captcha and log-in state of the site depend on cookies. For unknown reasons the cookies are not read programmatically now by the site. Using an add-on, I see that cookies are being written, but not read. Everything worked just before I updated FF to 35.0
I tested my site in major browser, everything works fine in IE, Safari, Opera, Opera Mobile and MS Page Inspector. But in FF and Chrome cookies are not read.
If you want me to email you my cookies.sqlite, I can do it, it is just around 1MB. Thanks.

Does document.cookie show these cookies if you paste this command in the command line in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer)?
You can enable the Storage tab in the Web Console by clicking the toolbar settings (gear) icon and use the storage inspector to check what cookies are created.
You can check in the Web Console if there are (JavaScript) error messages about this issue.
You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

  • Deleted attachments are not removed from Content Server

We have setup Content Server to store business documents and create attachments in documents in CO. Both types are stored ok and can be opened without any problems. After deleting them though, they disappear from the Attachment List but when looking in CS, attachments created on the document still exist in CS. Stored business documents on the other hand are removed properly.
Looking at statistics in CSADMIN shows that the deletion of the created attachment does not increment the "delete" counter.
Any ideas on why the created attachments are not removed from CS upon deletion?
    Thanks

We have solved this issue now. By design, the attachments are not removed directly from the content server upon deletion; Instead you will need to run report RSBCS_REORG to completely remove them from the Content Server.

  • PO Approval Items Workitems are not removed from the Universal Worklist UWL

    Hi,
Certain of our purchase orders require approval, they are sent to the relevant approver via workflow to their SAP inbox (SBWP) and universal worklist.
When the user executes the workitem (Approve or Reject) The workitem should be removed from the universal worklist and SBWP when refreshed.
The problem we experiencing is that the Workitems are not removed from the UWL after they have been executed. The SBWP is behaving correctly and the items are removed.
It is not all the workitems that have this problem, only certain ones - but there is no pattern.
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi,
The user B approved the PR accessing the transaction SBWP or via PR transaction directly?
If via PR transaction directly, then your workflow needs a Wait Event step.

  • Flash "cookies" are not saved

    Hello,
    I use Windows 7 SP1 + IE11 with flash version 14.0.0.176 (langage : French).
    New installation.
The flash files/cookies are not saved. It is visible in flash games: save don't work.
I have found a test on this site: IE10 Test Drive Demo: Flash Cookies that shows on my PC that no flash cookie is saved at all.
I have searched several forum without finding any solution.
For exemple : I have verified in the flash control panel that web site are allowed to save file. I have verified that an "infinite" amount of storage is also allowed... I have seen similar topics unanswered in this forum. I have searched the SOL file, but they never appear.
But may be I have missed something. I would appreciate a solution!
May the fact that the C:\users directory is redirected (through a link) to another location do something?
Also, some flash applications don't work at all. Some videos embedded in information site for example don't start. Some games begin to launch but never start.
    Thanks in advance!
    Joe

I have now had a chance to try this and it doesn't work for me. Seems my Flash installation is really messed up.
I have edited the mms.cfg in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash. It now has:
    SilentAutoUpdateEnable=0
    AutoUpdateDisable=0
    EnableInsecureJunctionBehavior=1
Enhanced Protect Mode in IE is not checked.
    I have rebooted the computer.
And I still have the same problem creating the cookie. I get no error message but the cookie does not appear. Flash still seems happy to create directories for the websites I visit, but I get no cookie files in them.
Thanks for trying to fix this problem. Looks like it is time to try to unwind my junction point and move everything onto the C: drive. Perhaps I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling Flash one more time...

  • Cookies are not being cleared when I close the browser although the option is set. Any suggestions?

Under Options; Privacy I have Clear history when Firefox closes ticked and within the Settings for Clearing History I have Cookies ticked. Cookies are not being cleared when I close the browser. Windows 7, SP1 x64

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file <i>cookies.sqlite</i> that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> and <b>cookies.txt</b>, if they exist, in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

  • LCRs in queue in source Database are not removed after propagation

    Hello,
I am using Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition 10.2.0.3 databases with Linux in VMware virtual machines. Replication (master-slave) with Streams does it's job quite well, but LCRs in the source queue are not removed after propagation.
I think this is because the apply process cannot send the notification after applying LCRs. does anyone know if Oracle Streams use a different port (different from standard listener port 1521) for the notifications?
For some stupid reason I have to run my virtual machine with a NAT network, so I have to do port-forwarding for every single port the VM needs to use. Does anyone know any more ports than Listener (1521) and EnterpriseManager (1158) I need? Any other suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Oliver Jelinski

    Hello again,
When I wrote "notification" I wanted to write "acknowledgement". So again: does anyone know, how acknowledgements are sent by the apply process (which port)? And when I am right, they are sent to the propagation process, which gives another acknowledgement to the capture process. Does anyone know how this second acknowledgement ist sent?
Thanks again, looking forward to reading your comments,
    Oliver Jelinski

  • I keep getting "cookies are not enabled" when they ARE on my Mac, so can't sign in to Facebook

I use Mac OS 10.5.7 and have for a very long time. I was using a slightly older version of Firefox although I update when prompted. Now I am using Firefox 3.6.13 Although working fine for a very long time w/ no problems, suddenly I cannot get signed into Facebook OR Netflix because I get an error message saying my "cookies are not enabled in browser". They ARE enabled, and I've repeatedly emptied the cache, rebooted, quit and restarted Firefox, changed passwords for Facebook. NOTHING gets me in.

It is displaying the message that "Cookies are not enabled on your browser. Please adjust this in your security preferences before continuing."

[[Enabling and disabling cookies]] should work... if it doesn't, you may try
    # [[Websites say cookies are blocked]] and
    # if 1 doesn't help, then possibly see [[preferences are not saved]] if that's the case.

When I try to log into facebook all it says is "Cookies are not enabled on your browser" but i have enabled them. How do I log in?

My guess is it's either a corrupt cookie or you have some add-on blocking cookies.
We'll need some more info about your Firefox setup. Go to '''Help > Troubleshooting Information''' then click '''Copy all to Clipboard'''. Open a reply to this post, and go to '''Edit > Paste''' to paste the info from your Troubleshooting Information page.

  • Suddenly my online IDs, and many website preferences, and/or cookies are not being saved despite trying all the various privacy settings

In the past week, perhaps since I downloaded a new Firefox update my cookies are getting deleted every time I close or restart Firefox. I have cleared the cache and my tracking setting is at "Do not tell sites anything about my tracking" although I have also tried the other tracking settings as well. I have "accept cookies from sites" checked although I have "accept third-party cookies" on Never. I have "Keep Unti"l at "they expire" I have removed all extensions. This just suddenly started happening about a week ago although I can't recall changing any settings or installing any other software. The problem only seems to affect Firefox as Safari still remembers my online IDs etc. Is there a bug in the most recent Firefox update for Mac desktops?

Note that this can be caused by a corrupted cookies.sqlite file.
If it happens again then try to rename (or delete) <b>cookies.sqlite</b> (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like <b>cookies.sqlite-journal</b> in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

  • Users Are Not Removed From Old Position Via Structural Auth

    Hello...
Has anyone experienced an issue where someone move from one position into a new one, the old reporting manager can still see this person information via structural auth?  There's a general structural profile with the evaluation path o-s-p and function module RH_GET_ORG_ASSIGNMENT which is assigned to all accounts in the system.  This profile works as intended when Person A moves to a different position reporting to Manager B.  Manager B can view Person A information (time, personal, etc.); however, the system does not remove Person A from Manager A.  In addition, the RHPROFL0 is scheduled twice a day.
Thanks for any insights or thoughts on this issue.

    Hmm...
Which release and SP are you on?
Also check the depth of the profile (just in case the employees were demoted...) and the period (although you mention that it should be current only).
I have only been involved is custom implementations of "structural authorizations" because the standard is quite tricky and complex to find an error or inconsistency - so hopefully one of the other gurus who are more familiar with it can help as well.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • The removed photo albums in iWeb are not removed from my website.

I have removed a few photo albums from my web site in iWeb and added none. When uploading the changes to my website it still shows all the albums only the links of the removed albums are not valid any more.
How can I get the albums completely removed from my site via iWeb?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You are hosting your site on a MobileMe account, correct?
Try publishing the entire site with the File ➙ Publish Entire Site menu. If that doesn't clear out the old stuff from your web site try the following:
    1 - close iWeb.
2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
3 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
    4 - reboot.
5 - launch iWeb and and try again.
Still if not cleared out publish the site to a folder on your hard drive and open the local copy with your browser to see if that shows the changes to the site.
    Happy Holidays
