COPA to SOP to DM

I have a situation where I am updating multiple (1000+) materials from COPA to SOP then from SOP to Demand Managment on a weekly basis. I succeeded to create a recording to update all materials from COPA to SOP. However, when I tried to create a recording to update from SOP to Demand Managment though T.CODE MC74 the material field was dimmed preventing me from recording. When I tried to use a product group to update Demand Managment, any material that has zero demand stops the update. So, now every week I have to LSMW my way to update SOP from COPA then delete the product group and LSMW the materials that need to be updated in the product group. Then update demand managment.
NOW....
I dont have a problem doing all of this, but I want a way to make sure every week I made no mistakes. So I need a way to compare the data in CO-PA (PLANNING) AND SOP AND Demand Management.

Since you are very successful in transferring COPA data to SOP, why not use the standard Mass Processing functionality of SOP to Create a Job and schedule and do the transfer from SOP to DM? I hope you know mass processing Job creation using MC8D and scheduling the same Job using MC8G.
If you are simply looking for comparision, then you need to use the infostructure S076 (SOP data), combination of PBIM & PBED (PIR data), I dont remember the COPA table, (hope you can find it for yourself) to compare the data.

If SD team is implementing SOP, can anybody guide me whether they will only be doing quantity planning. If yes then how should I valaute my Revenue "Value Field" in COPA. What should be the appraoch as I have never worked with SOP.

You have 2 choices
1. You can transfer qty from SOP and You can enter your revenue manually in KEPM (Copa planning)
OR
2. You can transfer qty from SOP and then run a COPA valuation in KEPM.
For this, In the IMG step "Define Valuation Strategy", assign a SD Pricing Procedure for Valuation Strategy 002, Application Type "V" and check Qty Field ABSMG.... This Pricing procedure can have a condition type named ZPLN which contains planned sale price or you can use the normal condition type that you use for billing

Hi Vicky
Setting the Switch is the reccommended process.
But there may be some cases in Implementation where the switch is not switched on.
For Example,
Lets say in one company they want PA to be implemented first without OM. and They also wanted to maintain Cost center.In this case U have to put the switch Off inorder to make the Cost center field Editable in IT0001.
And after some time client implemented OM and wants to transfer the data from PA.In This case U have to use the reports in order to fill the gaps between OM and PA.
So Basically Switching on Is the correct process and reports are used to plug the holes made my making the Switch Off.

How sale forecast transfer to COPA via KSPP and not related to long term,

i am trying to transfer my sale forecast to COPA via KSPP. However, this is not related to product group and long term planning.
any configuration involve?
what is the step that i need to proceed?

I think you are misunderstood something. The KSPP transaction is used to transfer the activity for the planned order; either long-term or short term to cost center activity type planning (in scheduled activity; and with reconciliation function, can copy to plan quantity).
It is not related to sales forecast from COPA to SOP which KE1E t-code is used.
For KSPP, you can set the transfer control in configuration. Alternatively, without configuration, you can use flexible transfer (menu Environment -> Flexible transfer). This provide that you have the master data in PP and CO setup correctly.

Add Curent Date & Time to PDF when Printed

This is my first post so please excuse any ignorance.
Basically we are in the process of creating electronic copies of SOP’s and putting them on our file server for all staff to access. Due to regulations, when these SOP’s are printed they would need to have the current date and time in which the SOP was printed, ideally like a watermark faded diagonally across the page but even if it was something on the bottom or top this would also do the trick.
It should read "Only Valid on Date of Printing - <Current Date><Current Time>
Could somebody please tell me if something like this is possible by incorporating JavaScript into the PDF.
Any assistance I would be grateful.

Integrated Excel In CO Plannin -Error

Hi,
while configuring the Integrated exccel file description in KP34,it is giving the error A later upload is not possible wit this layout.
Diagnosis
The layout can not be used for an upload.This can be caused by one of the following situations.
The layout does not contain a data field is ready for input
The layout has a lead column that only contains the text for the characterstics value and not the characterstic values itself
The layout contains formulas
The layout has a complex lead column and contains empty lines

Plannning Material and Plant for MRP Run

Hi,
If I have a material (01) extended on 2 plants, on one plant (A) we have production and planning/MRP + stock and on the other one (B), just stocking and transfer. B's requirements are to be entered and planned at A. I also want stock at B to be considered with stock at A when MRP runs at A. In the material master, I have some settings. I want to know if these would be any good:
Material 01 on Plant A:
MRP PD
Strategy 40
Lot size EX
Coverage profile applied
Material 01 on Plant B:
MRP ND/PD tried both
Strategy 40
Lot size EX
Coverage profile applied (same)
Planning material: Material 01 itself
Planning plant: Plant A
I particularly want to know about points 5 and 6. Will they make any difference if I run MRP on scope of planning(all plants) or just plant A? Will stock at B be considered? What difference does that setting make in my case? Please help!

No sales on Plant A. Only transfers and STO's. Stock is STO'd to Plant B (and other Plants, as well)

Yes, I want to load the forecast in Plant A (COPA to SOP to DM to MRP). What do I do in this case?
I tried another case, as well. In that I put a special procurement on the material in Plant B view and marked it as external procurement. (the planning material and plant were there, didn't remove)
Then I entered the forecast in both plants separately (PIRs for both Plants) The requirements from Plant B made STPO Planned orders in Plant B and STCK Planned orders in Plant A. I am using coverage profiles (period is month, standard length 25 days, target 10 days for 1st period for 2 months, target 10 days for 2nd period for 1 month, target 10 days for the rest of the horizon) Not using any consumption modes.
The results I am getting don't make sense to me. I have attached screen shots for both plants MD04 and the MRP + work scheduling views

Values update in T.Code : KSBT

I need complete process (Document / details) on how the values updated in t.code : KSBT. Which is required to explain to the end user.

Normally you update your cost center planning in by following steps:
1- Overhead planning by KP06, you enter cost centes, cost elements and values (Can be manual or automatic through uploading of BDC"
2- Upload your planning hirarchy and sales planning (COPA)
3- Transfer sales value from COPA to SOP by KE1K
4- Run LTP (long term planning. MC8G,MS01
5- Transfer activity from LTP . KSPP
6- Post statistical Key Figures (SKF). KP46
7- Reconciliation of activity . KPSI
8- Splitting of activity. KSS4
9- Price Calculation. KSPI
following above steps will update KSBT automatically. On the other hand, if you know you activity rates and you want to update KSBT manually you can do that in KP26.

1. They are preparing Sales Plan by Marketing People.
2. Based upon sales plan they verifying there capacity and requirement of material cost.
3. Costing depot arriving material cost based upon the last purchase.
4. finally costing depot adding O/H and arriving their operating profit.
Right now they are following in Excel Sheet now they are asking in SAP thru CO Module.

Help with Will Print - Current Date to apply to several hundred files

So I've spent all morning trying to find a solution for my problem, but I know nothing about Javascript, and the more detailed answers I've found are that give step-by-step tips are for older versions of Adobe (I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro).
My Situation: I have several hundred SOP PDFs that I wanted to add "Printed On: current date" and "Notice: Printed copies of SOPs are only valid for 30 days past "Printed On" date. Printed SOPs must be disposed of by confidential shredding." in the footer. These PDFs are then linked to our intranet where all employees open them to print.
What I Did: I went to Tools>Pages>Add Header & Footer entered all the information, entered the "Insert Date" then clicked "Apply to multiple files" and thought that I had done everything. However, the date is not changing...it is staying on the date that I did the whole batch of files with the "apply to multiple files"
What I have found is that evidently i need to do batch processing, with the will print java script to put the following code in (but i'm not sure if this code will put it in the footer?):

but i have no idea where to get to batch processing, will print, etc.
I can redo the apply to multiple files so that only the "notice" part will be on the right part of the footer, but can some nice forum person give step-by-step for dummies instructions on how to fix this so the date is current on the left part of the footer whenever someone opens the file?

Right, so I did find the Actions section under tools....So I did Create New Action>More Tools>Execute Javascript
Then I clicked on the little "Options" box, and all that pops up is an empty javascript window with "/* Put script title here */" Is that were I paste the code I had? Do I leave the /* or erase everything and put the code? Also, i don't see anything about adding a field....
...sorry to be dense about this, but this is way beyond anything i've attempted in acrobat. I do appreciate your help though.
Also, what options will i want selected on the "start with" and "Save to" options...i don't want the end users to have to mess with any prompts or anything, will Start With > a file open in acrobat run the script as soon as that file is opened via the intranet? Also, i'm assuming i then want "don't save changes" so the date will always change? Thanks.

Integrated Planning in COPA using KEPM and loading of quantity to SOP

We are in process of testing integrated planning in COPA using KEPM and loading of quantity to SOP (MC87) or Transfer Qty to SOP - KE1E. I created a planning level with basic information to plan quantity on product with Period/Year, Version, Plant, Product, Record Type (F), Unit Sales Qty.
Also created Planning Package & Planning Parameter with Planning layout and entered quantity for a material which creates a profitability segment with quantity update. The problem occurs when transferring to SOP the sales quantity either using MC87 or KE1E, it goes into a loop and times out. We tried using different parameters, but ended up with same result.
Are we missing some Config/steps here, any thoughts will help.

Hi,
You need to transfer COPA plan to inactive version of SOP through KE1E. Thereafter, in PP, the same is transfered to active version through MC78. Thereafter it is transferred to Demand Management through MC74.
Please check with your PP consultant.

Tom,
You can copy data from COPA using Tcode : MC7P. But you still have to move it to SOP ( info structure S076 ).
Next from SOP you can move plan to inactive demand (inactive version 002 ) ( using tcode MC8S) by creating suitable transfer profile.
That demand can then be refrenced back to your LTP planning scenario ( using Tcode MS31 -create planing scenario or MS32- change planning scenario)

We are able to transfer data from CO-PA to standard SOP, But we tried for transfer to Flexible Planning SOP by creating Mass Processing Job setting as below configuration path.
Production -> Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) ->Functions -> Mass Processing -> Transfer LIS / CO-PA
After executing Job MC8G - Schedule, we checked in Tcode - MC8I u2013 Check, Status: Processed with errors, And also data are not displayed in Tcode : MC95 for Material & active version.
We couldnu2019t find log for error status.
What is the method / Procedure for transfer data to Flexible Planning SOP?

When checking a mass processing job in SOP/flexible planning (Transaction MC8I), in the log error message "Activity and COPA profile have different planning versions?
Or planned/actual indicator in the COPA profile?
Version should be        A00
Please check the MC8S. Then an Avtivity in MC8T
after you create the job in MC8D with the acitivity you have defined for your info structure.
After that check in MD62 for plan value.
