Copy Command Doesnt work in Premiere CS6!

When you set your in and out points on your timeline, and then do the copy command, it will not paste your in and out to your selected timeline! I did some research and found a workaround:
Set your in/out
Lift
Undo (cnrtl Z)
Copy (cntrl C)
Paste to selected timeline (control V)
It's nice to know the feature is in there, and that it is simply broken...please fix!

Unfortunately, CC does seem to be more finicky than CS6.  Once it's running, it's usually very stable.  But there do seem to be a LOT of people that have trouble just getting it running.
If you ever solve that, CC allows you to use even unsupported cards for GPU acceleration just by turning it on.

    Thanks Ken,
I appreciate you looking at this.
Basically im trying to create it on percentage width and centred within the container, if that makes any sense.

  • Keyboard Shortcuts aren't working! Premiere CS6

    Hi All,
I'm working on Premiere CS6, I'm trying to use the shuttle slow keyboard shortcuts (K-J) and (K-L) but they aren't working. could you please help me!!
I noticed that in the Premiere's keyboard shortcuts directory they say that the shortcuts are (shift+J),(shift+K) I tried them but again it's not working..i need the one i mentioned above because it slows the clip frame by frame(means that if there was a person acting in my video he moves and talks like a robot not as a slow motion) I hope I explained that well.
    p.s. I'm using a mac
    Thank you.
    Sarah

Have they ever worked?  If so, remember that you have to have the Timeline panel or the Program Monitor active in order for those shortcuts to work.

  • Transitions not working in Premiere CS6.Video was color corrected in AE 6 and sent back to PPro cs6.

I exported my film to AE6 from Premiere CS6 for color-correction and got it back to Premiere Pro through DYNAMIC LINK.Now,the problem is that AE has discarded all the transitions and also cross-dissolve and film-dissolve don't seem to work on this color-corrected video.I am able to apply the transitions but they don't work....somebody please help!

As Jim said, not all effects and transitions are properly translated when you replace a group of clips with dynamically linked AE composition. Actually you should have noticed that your cross-dissolves etc. had been replaced with black solid layers in After Effects, which didn't reflect your PrPro transitions.
Now you can jump back to your AE project and fix broken transitions there.
For your future work you should keep it in mind and decide whether to replace a group of clips (and, therefore, fix broken transitions in After Effects) or a single clip, taking care of its handles.

  • COPY command not working SQL Commands editor

    Hi All,
I want to have a simple 'one-button-solution' for copying few tables from an external DB into the database where my Apex application is running.
When I issue the following from the sqlplus command line I get the following output:
    SQL> COPY FROM schema/password@tnsnames_sid TO schema/password@tnsnames_sid REPLACE TABLE_TEST USING select * from TABLE_FOREIGN;
Array fetch/bind size is 15. (arraysize is 15)
Will commit when done. (copycommit is 0)
Maximum long size is 80. (long is 80)
    Table TABLE_TEST dropped.
    Table TABLE_TEST created.
    2 rows selected from schema@tnsnames_sid.
    2 rows inserted into TABLE_TEST.
    2 rows committed into TABLE_TEST at schema@tnsnames_sid.
    SQL>
However, if I try exactly the same command from within the Apex 'SQL Commands' editor, I get the following error message:
    ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement
NOTE that the reason I use COPY command is to overcome problems with LONG datatype which arise when doing simply CREATE TABLE AS.... with dblink.
In anycase, how can I make this work from within the 'SQL Commands' editor (and therefore in a button process).
    Regards,
    Pawel.

    Hi Harman,
yes, this is a known issue.

  • Copy command not working for Search Results

    Hello,
We have a Search Form that triggers a  TREX URL search.  We also add a custom Layout Set on the search URL.  (see URL below)
    <b>URL Search:</b>
    http:
    <server name> &ConfigFileName=Navigation.xml&layoutSetMode=exclusive&ResourceListType=com.sapportals.wcm.SearchResultList&SearchType=ctrlpers&QueryString=*&rndLayoutSet=CustomLayoutSet&SelectedMatchesPerPage=15&SearchVisible=false
In the custom Layout Set, we've made our own UI command group to include the following commands:  Search_from_here, details, copy, move etc…
The problem is that whenever we click on the 'Copy'  or 'Move' command of a resource, we get the following error message:
    =====================================
    Item not found
The item you are attempting to access is not available. Check that the name or link is correct. You might also check whether the associated repository is currently accessible.
    ======================================
The error message in the KM log files simply states "ERROR: RID not found".
Would anyone know how to fix this issue!  I've tried many layout sets, but the copy command always gives me the same error message!
Any help or suggestions on this would be much appreciated...
    Thanks,
    Harman

  • File menu does not work in Premiere CS6

For some reason, I am having issues with using the File menu in premiere CS6. I cannot close the application at all. Keyboard shortcuts though they register will not make the propgram respond either. I know this is an issolated issue on this machine in our group. Any suggestions? I've done permission fixes, tossed out the preference file for premiere. When I do force quit the app a message come up saying Premiere had a critical issue and shutdown. Or something along the lines.
    Thanks

  • The 'Replace with clip from Bin' command doesnt work... or freezes and crashes Premiere

I'm not exactly sure where I should begin on this issue... re-install?
    Thx,
    David

Yes, of course.    And even if I hadn't, that wouldn't explain Premiere freezing
or crashing.    Let me ask this.    Is there a maximum amount of clips or some kind of RAM use tipping point where Premiere just can't handle anymore references?    That is the only thing I can think of that would possibly cause this sudden glitch or some kind of coding error, like the 'replace with clip from bin' command can only handle 'x' file references somehow...  I have about 300 AVCHD clips and 200 HD .mov files in the project panel.    What do you think?

  • Copy paste doesnt work.

simple as that. i tried to copy a safari address into my mac mail. didnt work. then copied text from my mail to test if it would paste in the web browser. it didnt work. just gave me the error sound.

  • Copy command only worked partially...

I'm doing a bit of a postmortem here, my iMac is at a repair shop, so this could just be bad hardware... but it seems I was let down by UNIX here, on my iMac G5 the Finder wouldn't stay up long enough to use, and I had already tried to copy my whole disk using:
    asr -source /Volumes/PowerBook/ -target /Volumes/Boot
this worked for a while and ended with some errors...
Then I realized that I really only cared about the Users stuff so I tried
    cp -Rp Users /Volumes/BigFireWireDisk/.
This worked without errors and fooled me into thinking I had everything... but if I dig down, I find that it only did a certain amount of layers and stopped. So alas, it didn't get some information that I would have wanted.
Should this have worked? Or was there a better way to do this? Oh yeah, another partition with a script backing it up all the time would have been good, but I didn't know that then.

What's a symbolic link? I'm looking for stuff down
inside my Address Book and iPhoto and such...
It is similar to an Alias. You create it from the terminal using "ln -s". I thought that since you were using cp, you may have also used ln at some point.
I don't know any other explanation, cp will copy everything. It is better than a Finder copy because it won't churn for an hour and then say "Sorry, I won't do it" or stop halfway though. Plus, if cp has any problems, it will print them out to the terminal.
