Copy modifications done to a view in WIP package to a Released package

Experts,
We are looking to configure a package structure in our HANA development environment where we want to set up 2 high-level packages, WIP package where the development and unit testing are going to be performed and when ready to be migrated to a "Released" package for migration to QA and prod environments. This works fine for us when we create the views and copy them to the "released" package for the first time. However, when we want to make additional changes after migrating the initial version, system doesn't allow us to do that saying that a view with the same name exists and doesn't overwrite it.
From you experience, can anyone throw light on how this can be accomplished?

Can you elaborate on your answers...as I have already created CUS (origin of view - a copy of SAP) it is not allowing me to create one more origin of view... can you tell me how to create another origin of view apart from CUS, so that I can start these changes afresh...
Also in SE03 even If i give DSEL and SAPDDFSTANDARD it is not displaying any objects and prompting to give a valid name...

Sorry I thought the context was clear. I followed the instructions on how to transfer a timemachine backup from one disk to another (linked above). One step in the howto is to uncheck "Ignore ownership on this volume". I was wondering if it is important to check it afterwards.

Are you working on images on both machines?
If you want to round-trip images, you can export a project as a library from your iMac, copy that to your MacBook Pro, and then edit the images there. When you're done, copy that library back to the iMac and import it to your iMac. The iMac should recognize the changes you've made and update its images.
Read the Aperture help file, which will guide you to the Aperture manual. It can walk you through this. You have to be careful to do it correctly, but I've done this a few times and it works quite well.

Unable to copy hidden package "Configuration Manager Client Package" to local DP

Content status lists it as successfully distributed to all DPs (including the local site server)
However, component status for SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER continually logs these events:
Distribution Manager failed to process package "Configuration Manager Client Package" (package ID = CDW00001).
Possible cause: Distribution manager does not have access to either the package source directory or the distribution point.
Solution: Verify that distribution manager can access the package source directory/distribution point.
Possible cause: The package source directory contains files with long file names and the total length of the path exceeds the maximum length supported by the operating system.
Solution: Reduce the number of folders defined for the package, shorten the filename, or consider bundling the files using a compression utility.
Possible cause: There is not enough disk space available on the site server computer or the distribution point.
Solution: Verify that there is enough free disk space available on the site server computer and on the distribution point.
Possible cause: The package source directory contains files that might be in use by an active process.
Solution: Close any processes that maybe using files in the source directory. If this failure persists, create an alternate copy of the source directory and update the package source to point to it.
NOTE: It appears to not be any of these causes.

Both errors are certificate related. Is there anything special about your configuration such as special ACLs on the certificate store or FIPS compliance mode (see
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811833) being enabled?
Nothing special with certificates; I've used the basic stuff for intranet management of clients.
The only related thing I can think of that may have affected this, is that I discovered earlier today that my MP installation got hosed (error 500) due to a broken client install on the site server itself. I uninstalled the client manually and the server
(as indicated by the component status views) appears to have repaired the MP install. Perhaps it didn't repair it completely? Would a site reset do me any good?

View packages depending on selected package

TL; DR: Is there a way to use pacman -Q to see what packages are depending on a particular package?
Basically what's in the title.
I'm always worried about removing packages in Arch here because I don't want to break (an)other package(s).
I have made a file named "dependencies" that lists the dependencies selected by pacman for each package I've installed from the beginning, however it's not necessarily in chronological order, and you know that if you already have a particular package that a new package you're looking to install depends on, it won't tell you it's a dependency, because it's already there!
I'm looking to remove avant-window-navigator and any useless packages left behind, if it matters.

So that tells you which package need another package. Pacman won't let you remove a package unless that list is empty anyway.
Read the man page for details on how to remove a package and all its dependencies.

This is only an option on iOS, because IPA structure keeps icons in the "root" of the application. Even then, I shouldn't have to manually overwrite the filenames when the ADT command already knows their correct names and location within the package.
But on Adroid, this is impossible, because the icons in the APK structure are outside of the "root" of the application. And ADT command does not let me add files outside of the application root.

If your machine does not meet the tech specs for an application, the application will not be listed/offered in the manager. In this case Premiere Pro CC is a 64-bit application and your machine is 32-bit.

Copy and paste images and viewing them

I just started using DW MX2004 to build ebay ads, but I am
needing to copy and paste hosted images into the template and view
them in design view. I am not using a server of any sort, just
designing. When I copy and paste a hosted image into DW I would
like to view it but all I get is a tiny image box.
Is there a setting that will let me view these hosted images
in design view?

Why can't my copy editors use the page view?

I am using InDesign CS3 on a Mac to lay out pages, and my copy editors are using InCopy CS4 on PC, but they can't see the layout view of pages. All they see is the generic, one-column format. How can we get them to se what actually is on our pages?

Are the InDesign users actually exporting InCopy content from InDesign? Do they know how?
If not, I'm afraid there's little I can offer you here except perhaps to at least sign up for a month to month subscription to Lynda.com and view Anne Marie's excellent videos on InCopy.

AppleScript to 'eject' iPod after copying is done. Need a trick!

I'd like my AppleScript to eject my iPod Shuffle after it is done copying podcasts to it. Unfortunately, the 'duplicate' command is "asynchronous", meaning that it returns immediately, without waiting for the copies to complete. More unfortunately, instead of failing, the 'eject' command puts up a stupid dialog asking if it wants the copying to be interrupted, and halts copying until the user replies.
Does anyone know a to work around this?

Use Disk Utility to burn disc images. Select the image to burn, then click on the Burn icon in the DU toolbar. The subsequent dialog has several options you can choose including Eject after burning.

How to transport the modification done to the Portal?

I am new to enterprise protal.
I have added a page to a work set in MSS. Now I want to transport this to Quality.
For this, I have created a transport package in Systetm Administration and have added the folder in whcih i have created a page.
Now I want to add the workset that I have modified to the Package so that the modification that I have done to be transported.
But when i try for Manager Self-Service role (in which i have added my page to a workset in MSS). Actually this is the navigation path that i have followed to link it to the workset. So thought of following the same path to identify the workset). But wehn i double click onn the role nothing is happening there. If I assign the entire role to the package , other modificatiionns will also be transported. Whcih ideally shoulnd't happen.
Please correct me If i am wrong and suggest what needs to be done.

Make a more eloborate and clear your question. Transport the PCD objects whatever you modified by adding them to the transport package and then impor them into the other servers.

Tracking and maintaining data about modifications done to Standard SAP code

I need your help to know if there is a way to track and maintain the modification changes done to standard SAP code. I have gone through SE95 but not much help. Is there any DB tables which stores these information after a standard SAP code has been modified like for example when the core Mod was done, transport number for the MOD, object in which the MOD was done, version of the object etc.

Copy message don't work

My application send copy message after drag and mouse up on text any application for selecting word/text.
Other application work good(IE, notepad, Word...). Drag and mouse up then copy done.
But, Adobe Reader X don't work. Drag and mouse up then need to Ctrl+C keydown.
I don't know, why Reader X can't receive copy message.
And how to send copy message Reader X

I was debugging this problem in detail. then found the cause of this problem
If, Adobe reader x is running, My hooking dll is not work. any mouse event don't be received.

I think Adobe reader x missing CallNextHookEx function in HookProc callback.

How to create a copy of an existing statndad view

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement. I have to copy the view BP_DATA/AccountRelationshipsOV in the component BP_DATA and again use it in the component BP_HEAD. When i tried creating copy by right clicking on the view and selecting copy option its creating the copy of the view but when i am using the view in the component BP_HEAD by using the component interface of the copied view, its throwing some run time exception on the UI. Please help.
Also is there any other way of copying the view other than the one i used above?

Hi Udit,
Unfortunately there is no way to copy a view from one component another the way we understand copy-paste. However, if your requirement is to reuse BP_DATA/AccountRelationshipsOV (or its copy you already created) in BP_HEAD, then you need to do the following:
In BP_DATA component:
1. Create a new window.
2. Add the copy to this new window in runtime repository editor.
3. Expose this new window from runtime repository editor.
In BP_HEAD component:
1. Declare a new usage for component BP_DATA, view (new window you create above)
2. Add the usage view to the concerned view area.
You also need to make sure that the context nodes are properly bound for the data flow.
