Copy to webdav repositorie

Hello,
we are using EP6 sp 10.
I want to copy every night some files from a windows filesystem to a (cm) repositorie of our portal.
I can't find a way to automate this. Copy and paste to the webdav location works fine.
But I can not find tools that support copying to webdav location.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob,
You could write a java program that uploads the file periodically. Download the following zip file which has documentation and library files.
http://apache.mirrors.versehost.com/jakarta/slide/binaries/jakarta-slide-webdavclient-bin-2.1.zip
Let me know if you need a sample project.

  • IWorks (iOS7) apps can not "Send a copy" to WebDAV server

Is there a known incompatibility between iWorks (iOS7) apps and Mavericks OSX Server 3.0.1 WebDAV file sharing?
    The problem:
Using any of the iWorks apps (iOS 7 on an iPad Mini or iPhone 5s) I can easily add a “Copy from WebDAV” from our WebDAV server, but I can’t “Send a copy” of any iWorks document (in any format) to our WebDAV server. The app attempts to write the document but hangs up. The resulting file on the WebDAV server has the correct name but only a single byte.
However, Numbers on our antique iPhone 3Gs (iOS 6) can easily “Copy from WebDAV” AND “Send a copy” to the same WebDAV server, signed in as the same user.
    Background:
We are running OSX Server 3.0.1 configured for File Sharing over SMB, AFP, and WebDav on an iMac running OSX 10.9.1.
    --GetRealBro

Maybe I asked the wrong question.
Has anyone been able to "Send a copy" of any iWorks iOS7 document to any WebDAV server?
Since my last post I have confirmed that I can "Send a copy" of Numbers, Pages and Keynote (iOS6 on an iPhone 3Gs) documents to our WebDAV server (OSX server) and open them in Excel, Word or PowerPoint in Mavericks. The test is simple. I open an iWorks app and add a new document by selecting an iWorks template. I "Send a copy" to our WebDAV server. The iWorks iOS 6 apps complete the task quickly. The iOS 7 apps appear to do the same but they never complete the transfer. After a few minutes I cancel the "Send a copy". The resulting file on the WebDAV server has the correct name and file type. But it is only 1 byte long.  And for good measure, the failure of iOS 7 iWorks apps to "Send a copy" to a WebDAV server occurs on both an iPad MIni and an iPhone 5s.
Note: I must be logged on to the WebDAV server correctly because both the iOS6 and iOS7 apps display and allow me to navigate the file structure.
    Thanks in advance —GetRealBro
BTW does anyone else find it ironic that Apple’s own discussion forums don’t work correctly (i.e. missing the formatting icons in the reply pane) with Safari in iOS7 on an iPad?

  • Webdav Repositories

I am trying to setup a webdav repository.  I used the help.sap.com and it states I can find the webdav url for current repositories in the details/properties/access links.  However, when I go there, this is the url available:
    http://<%hostname%>/irj/go/km/docs/documents
I copied the url into my browser of of course it does not work. However, when I manually replace the <%hostname%> with mycomputername:50000, it works.  My question is, how do I configure the webdav url.  It seems like in other portals this was created by default, but in this portal the above link is there.  Can I change this default configuration so the webdav links have the correct URL?
    Thanks in advance.

the link i posted originally is the link from where you state to go.  I am wondering how I can configure that so it shows up by default.
In the help.sap.com, it states to go where you directed me and I had already gone, but the link is not correct.
Any ideas of how to change the default webdav link for repositories?
thanks for your quick response and ideas.

  • Save As Copy to WebDAV folder does not work

    Hi,
In Windows XP with latest reader (9.3.3), I cannot perform "Save As Copy" to a WebDAV folder. Contents of the folder is blank in the Save As dialog, and clicking the save button shows the following error:
"You Cannot Save in the Folder You Specified. Please Choose Another Location."
I was convinced that it was because Reader used the old dialog that doesn't support WebDAV as described here:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/265867/en-gb
However, I then discovered that when doing the same from Windows 7 and Windows Vista, I do not experience this problem. I have since made a clean install Windows XP to a virtual PC for testing, and I get the same problem.
I found from one source that the web server should have Reader installed to register the MIME type for IIS. I installed it but to no avail.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Regards.

NB: I am using the built-in WebDAV client in Windows XP (Add Network Place with WebClient service started).
Also have a thread open on the IIS site:

  • Copying master data repositories

    Hi All,
Can you please guide me how to copy existing master data repositories including the schema of the existing database and deploy in another database.
    Regards,
    Madhu

    Hi Madhu,
You can create archive file (.a2a) to the repository and can unarchive it on the other MDM server running on some other data base.
Repository archive file is database & OS independent file. to create an archive file, right click on the repository on Console. Select Option "Archive Repository". Specify the Archive file name and select Ok.
This will create a .a2a. file in the archive directory of MDM server. Copy and paste this file to the archive target mDM server running on some other database. to unarchive repository on new MDM server, right click on mounted MDM server, and select "unarchive repository". Specify DBMS login details, Archive file and repository name on the next screen and click ok.
This will create repository from the archive file. This new repository will have same schema as your previous repository.  You can also create schema only archive files too.
For more details please refer console reference guide available at help.sap.com

  • Some web pages incomplete after copy using webDAV

I copy entire folders of html files (using Windows Explorer copy/paste) into database using WebDAV feature. Some documents don't get copied fully.
Alert window displays 'An error occurred copied some or all of the selected files.'

Do the affected files contain any special characters?
Which version of Windows do you use (also which language settings)?

  • WebDav Repository - MS Sharepoint Integration

    Hi Everybody,
I'm trying to apply the things I read in the article "Interoperability between SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 and Windows SharePoint Services" (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/9e891378-0601-0010-5386-a3387f1b161b).
It's about configuring WebDav repositories to access HTTP Systems. I'm trying to acces documents stored in MS Sharepoint.
I'm having a problem with security.
The IViews I use to access the WebDav repository I defined are working well and showing the content stored in MS Sharepoint.
My problem is that those IViews are showing the info with the privileges granted to the user I've used to define the HTTP System.
In that config screen, there's a checkbox that says "Same user domain". Its hint says that if it is checked, the credentials of the logged user would be forwarded to the http server, but this is not happening.
I'm logging on to SAP Portal with an user that has no permissions in Sharepoint and i'm still seeing the documents and I can even upload new documents.
    Can anybody help me?
    Thanks in advance, Fede.

    Hi all,
the WSS WebDAV Connector (aka "SharePoint WebDAV Connector, SWC) was released some days ago and a new Interoperability Section on Microsoft-sap.com is now live.
See http://www.microsoft-sap.com/technology.aspx --> SAP Enterprise Portal (EP) for the WSS WebDAV Connector.
In the SWC documentation there are some hints for the configuration of the security requirements / authentication types which should be helpful for your problem.
    Kind regards,

  • IOS webdav No Documents

OSX Server Verison 3.1.1 Build 13S4140
    iPad Mini
When using the ipad mini i'm unable to "Copy from WebDAV" on Pages or Numbers. It will say No Spreadsheets. I have enabled WebDAV on the server.
I can "Send a copy" to WebDAV and it show up in the shared folders. Any help to get this working?

I think I had this in the past, but I think it fixed it simply by resaving th file to iCloud from within the app, no copying

    hi shailesh,
1.If you want to transfer documents to KM,go to the folder "/documents",open its Detail dialog box.
2.Go to Settings->Properties.Click on 'Access Links' tab.
3.Copy the WebDAV url and paste it in your browser.Open your KM Folder as a Web Folder after authentication for your credentials is done.
4.Copy the folders from your file system to the server just as you would copy folders in Windows File System.

  • Set Up WebDAV in Pages on iPad

I want to be able to download and upload files to and from my Amazon S3 cloud storage directly within Pages and Numbers on my i[Pad. I had this working for a long time, but unfortunately I had to reinstall the iOS6 versions of Pages and Numbers because the iOS 7 version (Pages 2) creates files that are not openable on my older Mac. Both Apps work fine again, even in iOSt, but now I want this cloud facility to work again. I realise that I can get the files to and from Amazon using iSME, but that is another step or two that I would rather avoid.
However, when I get to the +/Create Document/Copy from WebDAV setup window entitled "WebDAV Sign In" , enter details of my amazon server, username and password I get a message "An error occurred. Please try again".
Does anyone have any advice on how to link Pages to Amazon S3 using WebDAV? I suspect that the formatting of the server and username details is the problem. Unfortunately, I cannot find my notes from when I originally set it up successfully.

You can create folders in iOS Pages in a manner similar to creating and using Folders as described in Chapter 3 of the iOS User Guide found as a special bookmark in Safari. Well worth reading.
In Pages Document View (where you see thumbnails of each document) tap on a document and drag it over another document to create a folder. Additional documents can then be dragged into the folder. To remove a document in a folder, tap, hold then drag out of the folder.
There are limits: each folder can only hold 20 documents and you cannot nest folders or place a folder inside another folder.

  • Cannot see Pages/Keynote files via WebDAV

I am using the DropDAV WebDAV offering for dropbox. It works great for Numbers. For Pages and Keynote, when I try to do a Copy from WebDAV, I am unable to see both .doc and .docx files in the directory drill down. I am able to see them from the WebDAV client app. Also, I am able to open these files thru Dropbox directly into Pages, but when I go to Copy them to WebDAV, it appears to work, but not files ever get copied.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Well, we had some problerms using dropdav.com, so we switched to cloudsafe.com - On a Mac we connect via "Transmit" WebDAV client.

  • Selecting a repository when multiple repositories are available

    Hi,
We are trying to configure access to multiple repositories. We have Two entries in NQSConfig.INI:
    [ REPOSITORY ]
    Repo1 = Repository1.rpd, DEFAULT;
    Repo2 = Repository2.rpd;
However, there doesn't seem to be any way to select which repository to use when you login. I only see the Subject Areas of Repo1, I can't access anything in Repo2. Is there any configuration files that need to be modify to support the selection of the repository?
    Thanks,
    Stephane.

Our client needed 3 repositories set up, which dictates 1 Presentation server per repository.
    Here's what I did:
Installed OAS and OBI (full install) to a single location (Oracle HTTP is not running, but is installed in a separate DMZ with a FW between):
    $HOME/10.1.3.1
    $HOME/OracleBI
    $HOME/OracleBIData
copied all the repositories to OracleBI/server/Repository.
Pointed to the repositories in NQSConfig.INI
All normal, so far... here's the tricky part:
I created 3 new Virtual IPs and bound them to the physical interface on the server.
    Navigated to OracleBIData/web/config
    copied instanceconfig.xml to:
    - instanceconfig_APP1.xml
    - instanceconfig_APP2.xml
    - instanceconfig_APP3.xml
where APP# is the name of my apps.
    Modified each instanceconfig_APP#.xml to add:
    <Listener address="VIP1" port="9710">
where VIP1 is one of the virtual IPs assigned to the server (one VIP per app, so APP1 gets VIP1, APP2 gets VIP2, etc.).
This allows the same presentation install to start multiple servers (almost).
    The next mod:
    in OracleBI/setup, I copied run-saw.sh to run-all-saw.sh
The check to see if a sawserver is already running is a crappy one - it just runs:
ps -ef | grep "user" | grep sawserv
or something similar, which is garbage, since there is really no reason that the same user can't start multiple Presentation servers on different ports and/or IPs.
so - I modified run-all-saw.sh... here's a snippet of the "start)" section of the case statement (near the bottom of the script):
    elif test "$pid" ; then
    # Commented echo "Oracle BI Presentation Services is already running."
echo "Oracle BI Java Host startup initiated."
echo "Please check '${javahost_logfile}' for Oracle BI Java Host startup details."
echo "Please go to the '${SADATADIR}/web/log/javahost' directory for Oracle BI Java Host log files."
    start_javahost
    # Added the next line to force a start of the saw server
    start_saw
    ----End Snippet----
So that forces the saw server to try and start, even if it finds a saw server already running (sure, there are other ways to make that a cleaner check, but I wanted to be minimally invasive for maintenance/upgrade purposes).
    Now, the last step:
    in the $HOME, I created 4 scripts:
    start_saw_APP1.sh
    start_saw_APP2.sh
    start_saw_APP3.sh
    start_saw_ALL.sh
The start_saw_ALL.sh is the simplest... it just calls the other 3 script in order from APP1 to APP3, with a sleep 5 command in between:
    ----Begin start_saw_ALL.sh----
    $HOME/start_saw_APP1.sh
    sleep 5
    $HOME/start_saw_APP2.sh
    sleep 5
    $HOME/start_saw_APP3.sh
    ----End start_saw_ALL.sh----
The sleep command gives the presentation server ample time to read the .xml file before slamming in the next file in the list. I tried without the sleep lines, and only the last server instance started up. You might need to adjust these to longer times if you experience issues...
    The start_saw_APP1.sh script is:
    ----Begin start_saw_APP1.sh----
    cp $HOME/OracleBIData/web/config/instanceconfig_APP1.xml $HOME/OracleBIData/web/config/instanceconfig.xml
    $HOME/OracleBI/setup/run-all-saw.sh
    ----End start_saw_APP1.sh----
so when I start all three, I can do netstat -a | grep 9710, and I see:
    VIP1.9710 LISTENING
    VIP2.9710 LISTENING
    VIP3.9710 LISTENING
On the Oracle HTTP Server, I deployed the analytics.war to APP1, APP2, APP3, and modified those web.xmls to point to their respective VIP:9710 addresses (APP1's web.xml uses VIP1:9710, APP2 uses VIP2, etc.).
This allows ONLY port 9710 to be opened in the firewall from the DMZ to the internal network, and only ports 7777 and 4443 external.
Nice and secure, and doesn't require maintaining one Presentation install per application.
The instanceconfig.xml is the ONLY thing that is holding us back from using multiple repositories in the same instance... if the instanceconfig.xml was allowed to contain multiple Server Instance tags, this wouldn't be an issue (I tried that too, it doesn't work).
I'm working on a way to shut down one instance at a time - that issue revolves around the same "idiot check" that the start process does to see if more than one Presentation server is running. For now, I'm just using run-saw.sh stop, which brings down all 3 instances.
Good luck everyone... happy to answer any questions you might have. I would imagine that a similar setup would work just find on Windows server - I know you can bind multiple IPs to a single NIC, so you should be in the same boat.
    Cheers!

  • Webdav via keynote on iPad 3 - error

    Hi all,
I'm getting the following error for 1 file only when I click the plus button and select copy from WebDAV.
"an error occurred. Please try again"
File is powerpoint in .ppt and .pptx formats as we run PC's. I've added all other files, only this one is an issue.
It's not the largest file, so I don't think size is the issue.  Other file that copied ok is 12MB, this one is 11.6mb
I can copy it over via iTunes app sharing, but need to have it on WebDAV for all employees to access.
    Any ideas?

  • Webdav Permissions for iPad Pages and Keynote

I have a new lion server runing 10.7.2 and have set up a share as an iOS (webdav) share. I created a user and gave that user full permission to the share. I can read documents from the share from the iPad, but when I copy via webdav the file created is Zero K. I know this has to do with permissions, but I can't see anywhere else I can change anything.

Copy from or to the server? Or duplicate?
There are many functions in the webdav function which aren't support yet, like rename etc. Have a look at the other posts here and write an feedback to Apple. Maybe they will implement it in 10.7.3
