Corrupt communication channel (FILE/JDBC) still polling "without success"

Hi all here are a lot of questions with high priority:
We have problems with adapter engine XI7.0SPS11.
It looks that if there is a short connection error some of our channels are still polling (status green) but they do not get the data.
After restart J2EE engine it works. But this is not good.
I refreshed all caches and restarted the file and jdbc service in NWA without success.
If I create a new communication channel and change the sender agreement it works.
But this is only a workaround.
Does anybody know this issue?
Is there a way to solve it (without daily restart of J2EE engine)?
We will patch our system to SPS18 but can we ensure that the bug is fixed?
Currently one FTP channel get the error u201CCould not process dues to error: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx:550 150722_ No such file or directoryu201D
How can I refresh the channel u201Ccacheu201D so that he looses the history of polled files?
Thanks Daniel

  • Communication Channel Inactive but Still processess the file

    hi all -
New PI 7.0 installation. Going through lot of issues.
XI, CRM and other systems reside on the same server. SLD resides on the same server but different SID.
I had made some changes to the communication channel - made it active, inactive, changed the polling interval.
Nothing is getting reflected on the RWB -> Component Monitoring -> Adapter Engine -> Communication Channel Monitoring -> Processes the scenario and none of the changes in the Integration Directory gets reflected in the RWB.
    1. Did SXI_CACHE, Delta Cache Refresh, Complete Cache Refresh. Still processes the inactive communication channel.
    2. Did CPA_Cache refresh. Still processes the inactive communication channel.
    3. Checked the business system -> url for the IS and it works fine.
    4. Cleared the SLD Data Cache from the Integration Directory.
Any other ideas what could be wrong?
    Thanks,

  • Authorizations required in Communication Channel for JDBC Lookup mapping

Is there of list of required authorizations and or patch needed to use a JDBC Lookup in a message mapping?  We are using PI 7.1, and trying to use the new JDBC Lookup feature.  We currently have a user that is not an ower of the DB tables, this does work in our current solution of using UDFs, but we would like to avoid switching it to a user that has full access on the tables, e.g. SAPXI*
Current environment: PI 7.1 (not EhP1)
    Thanks,
    Matt

Do you know what those authorizations should be when using a standard JDBC Lookup mapping function?  Currently we have a custom UDF that calls the table via a <schema>.<table name> and the current user in the Receiver Comm Channel works just fine.  It appears that when using the standard SAP JDBC Lookup function it calls the table directly and the user in the Comm Channel no longer has the correct permissions.
I would expact that the JDBC Lookup function would allow for a standard "Read" on any table as long as the user has that level of access...but not in this case.  I am going to bring it up to our SAP XI software development team and see what they say, but wanted to get some views from our other experts as well.
    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Sender RFC and JDBC communication channels required to be activated

    Hello Guys,
Whenever we have a Oracle restart after the server is shut down for maintainence . The sender JDBC communication channel does not poll and we have to activate the channel again in the Integration Directory to make it work, is there any way to make it work automatically.
Similar is tha case with the sender RFC communication channel.
Allthough the component monitoring shows green button for the JDBC, RFC communication channel.
In case of the JMS channel (sender) the channels are in red.
    Thanks for your help.

    HI
There is no automatic ways to restart channel that you have to manually start.
You need to stop the channels first before getting oracle server down for maintenance. This will save from errors. Maximum what you can do is to start stop channel using a program externally but that require development.
    Start/Stop using RWB
Starting / Stopping of Communication Channel from RWB
    Start/Stop without using RWB
Control Communication Channels Externally without using RWB
    Thanks
    Gaurav

    Hi,
I am getting the following error in Communication channel of JDBC:
Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:oracle:thin:@host:port:SID' using the JDBC driver 'oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Can not establish connection:: SQLException: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection'
Connection Parameters in CC are as :
    Connection:   'jdbc:oracle:thin:@host:port:SID'
    Drivers:          'oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver'
If I change Connection Parameters in CC as:
    Connection:   'jdbc.oracle.thin.@host:port:SID'
    Drivers:          'oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver'
Then I recieve the following error:

    Oracle system is on 10G

  • Error in JDBC receiver Communication Channel

    Hi,
I am facing a problem at receiver communication channel of JDBC adapter. I am gettting the error as,
"com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Channel has reached maximum concurrency(5,000 concurrent Messages) and no free resourse found within 5,000 milliseconds; Increase the maximum Concurrency Level."
I am having the configuration on 4 different nodes. but suddenly only 1 out of 4 is working fine but remaining 3 are throwing this exception. It says to increase Maximum Concurrency level but i want to send only one message through one channel.
Is there a way to rectify this error. I am in deep trouble.
can anyone help me out in solving this issue, Its very greatfull if you do the needy.
    Thanks,
    Soorya,

    Hello Aarthi,
I have gone through the link which you have provided for me in this regard. But i am not clear why those values,
    AFW.Call.maxConsumers 10
    AFW.Recv.maxConsumers 5
    AFW.Rqst.maxConsumers 10
    AFW.Send.maxConsumers 5
    JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System.Call.maxConsumers 20
    JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System.Recv.maxConsumers 10
    JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System.Rqst.maxConsumers 20
    JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System.Send.maxConsumers 10
These are concerned to  MS only but not at JDBC adpater.
We have to look at JDBC prospective but not at the MS prospective.
So can you please look into the issue as JDBC adapter perspective.
Its like this that, there are 5000 messages are waiting for the free resource with in the next 5secs and as it is reached maximum concurrency of 1.
    So my question here is,
Is there only one option to increase this value to 2 or more?
Or else do we have any other option to overcome this problem.
    Please reply to this ASAP.
    Thanks,
    Soorya.

  • Communication Channel status successful but file Not Delivered.

    Hi All
I have a receiver communication channel which is showing status as SUCCESSFUL but the log says The message status was set to NDLV.  Due to which am unable to retrigger it even form Message Monitoring
Its set to FTP & is not received at that side.
Kindly put in your inputs on the possible solution for this issue.

    Soumen!!!

I dont think it is held in queue.....you will get an error (the one which you got) and then the message will go into Error state.
When the channels are stopped and it receives a file it raises an error alert and is set to error state. Later when channel is started the file gets processed(You can try doing it.I did). Here it gave the error message but sets the channel to successful. Thats what is botehring me.
Looks like you are scheduling the receiver channel....why?
    Had some requirement...
    @ Balaji : Its successful

  • JDBC Sender Communication Channel Error

    Hi,
We are facing the below error in Sender JDBC communication channels:
The JDBC driver returned the following error message: 'java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC]No ResultSet set was produced.'
We are getting this error in channels which are using stored procedures but not in channels using direct sql query statements.
The database is not having any data currently.
So is the above error because of no data or some other issue?
    Any ideas?
I have searched the sdn but didnt find anything appropriate.so posting a new thread.

  • Transfer Responder to Channel - File Export

    Hi everybody!
I am working on campaign automation and I would like to ask if workflow "Transfer Responder to Channel" works with communication channel "File export". It worked for Leads, but it does not start with file export.
    Any ideas?

    Hi
This workflow can be used for file export provided you have a preceeding element which is maintained in such a way that it resuts in some kind of respondents, for eg the previous element can have a survey, and in the succeding element you can say transfer responder to channel. then it will collect all the BPs who have responded to your survey.
    Hope it helps

  • No Adapter Metadata when trying to creating communication channel.

    Hi experts,
    I am using a new setup of Netweaver 2004S - PI 7.0.
I created a communication channel (File Sender).
When I tried to define the Adapter Type, there is no Adapter Metadata to pick from pop up window!
I've read other threads and they suggest that some imports (SWCV SAP BASIS) needs to be made in the IR.
I've checked my settings using Transaction Code -SPAM, under package level:
    Component: SAP_BASIS
    Software Component Release: 700
    Level: 0010
    Support Package: SAPKB70010
    Short Description: SAP Basis Component
Software Package Type: Basis Support Pkg
    Did I miss out anything?
What package do I need to download and how do I verify I've installed them correctly?
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Ron

    Hi all,
Thank you for all your kind responses so far.
I have one last question - Where can I download the SWCV SAP BASIS patch from?
I logged in to ServiceMarketPlace with my company partner ID and follow these links:
    SAP Support Portal -->
    Downloads (Tab) -->
    SAP Support Packages (Tab) -->
SAP Support Package Stacks (Left Hand Menu) -->
    SAP Netweaver 2004s -->
A configuration tree is shown. I choose "SAP IGS 7.00 for Process Integration (PI/XI), J2EE Adapter Engine (PI/XI)..." -->
Check  Windows Server on IA32 32 bit --> "No Support Packages found."
My PI is running on Windows Server 2003, with a MaxDB installation.
As you can see I'm very new to the SAP environment, so please bear with me for my ignorant questions.
    Thank you.

  • Communication Channels : Receiver, Sender ?

    Hi all,
sometimes I'm confusing a receiver or a sender communication channel. I was told to use receiver when XI receives, and sender when XI sends. But it's not so clear.
Does anyone have some tips ?
    Thx to all.

    Hi Elliot,
You use the Sender for the system that sends the message, system that execute the message, and receiver in system that receive the data.
    for example.
I have a ECC with RFC with developer the purchase order, and this PO is input the legacy system.
The ECC is Sender and Legacy system is receiver.
when I create the Interface Message, I choose the Inbound and Outbound message, and Sync or Async message.
Inbound or Outbound I See by Legacy system.
When OUT to the Legacy, the message is Outbound.
When IN to the Legacy, the message is Inbound.
When I need to the response, I use the Sync message.
When I don´t need the response, I use the Async Message.
    For example.
    ECC/RFC -> XI -> LEGACY
the init of the message is in ECC, I executed the RFC, and the data input the LEGACY.
I Need a communication channel SENDER (RFC Adapter).
I Need a communication channel RECEIVER (JDBC Adapter - for example).
and the interface message, the message is INBOUND Async.

    Hi,
Your communication channel is not able to connect with the FTP sever.
Check in RWB the communication channel log also user id, password mentioned in communication channel.
Check whether that user has authorization to create file on FTP sever.
