Corrupt dump file, foreign keys not generated on import

Hi,
In our refresh job, we get the dump file from production and use it to refresh the schema in UAT.
The dump file thus we got from production seems to be corrupt - as its giving error - "IMP-00008: unrecognized statement in the export file: "
But the error we are getting is for few users, while other users are being imported fine. For the users which got imported fine, the foreign keys are missing !!!
There is no "error" in the import log regarding the foreign keys.
We tried to get the indexfile and it has all "Create Table" statements, along with indexes, primary key, check constraints etc .... only the FOREIGN KEYS are missing.
How can this be explained ?
With Regards,
Shalini.

Some suggestions:
1. Check Note:111384.1 if you are trying to import from the tape directly.
2. You can set a bigger buffer size and check whether the error reappears.
3. If you are trying to perform a full import and the error always seemed to be happening when it tried to import the 56th user, you set init.ora parameter license_max_users (which is set to 55) to a bigger value.
These are apart from the main reason for this error, i.e., corrupted export file or Import internal bug.

  • Data Modeler 3.0 EA1 - Logical Relation to Foreign Key not generating

When use "Engineer to Relational Model" the only time it creates foreign keys from my relations is when those relations are of the type many-to-many. I've added a Primary UID for each table and I have tried to use the Apply Naming Standard options but nothing seems to work.
I tested my design with the design rules feature I have no errors.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Greg

    Hi Greg,
probably you added primary uid after first engineering to relational model. You can check whether those uids are selected in engineering dialog.
Also you can check log file in datamodeler\datamodeler\log directory for logged problems there.

  • Export dump file of 8.x unable to Import in 9i

    Hi,
I have Oracle 8.x version export dump file.
When i try to import this file in Oracle 9i db, it fails everytime. I have tried with all possible options in import utility. When i start import it shows as a active jobs in the jobs list but after few seconds it disappears from active tab and goes to failed list. It doesnot even gives the reason for failure. No error messages also. I don't know what shoud i do as i want to upgrade my 8.x data to 9i. I have currently only 9i installed on windows 2000 Server.
Please reply to my query as sson as possible.
    Thanks

i beleive, u are using OEM or any other tool to do the export and import.
FIRST make sure, u have configured OEM properly to handle the batch jobs.
easiest way is to use the command line utilities.
use exp of lower version to export the source database.
create similiar users and tablespaces ( tablespace names is not a must) in target database.
use the same lower version of imp to import into target database.

    Dear all,
Excise accounting document is not generated for imported asset goods receipt(MIGO)
but "C" Register part 2 no. is generated, usual accounting document is generated for GR,
    Asset is Dr to GR/IR
    Process is
    1. Create asset purchase order with acct. assignment "A",
    2. Customs miro based on p.o.
    3. Do GR with excise
    4. Post invoice for orginal vendor.
What will be cause of this problem ?
How to solve this issue ?

The above issue may be due to Accout assignmnet -A . Check your accout assignment  in spro -mm-purchasing -accout assignment - Asset A - GR Non valuated has Ticked on . If it is ticked on - No Fi entry will happen at the Time of GR .
The reason being , if an FI entry happen for the first time , asset is capitalised . To avoid this GR is made in ur config as this .

  • Illustrator CS4 - frequently generates corrupt EPS files that will not parse

I have used many versions of Illustrator prior to and including the CS lines.  I am currently running CS4 and this is the first time I have experienced this issue.  Approximately half of my EPS formatted illustrator files will not parse.  I use Quark Xpress 7 for my layout (never liked any of the Indesign programs).  If I try to generate a PDF with my CS4 generated EPS files placed at least 60% of the time the placed file will corrupt the PDF export resulting in no PDF being generated.
Further to this PDF export issue, if I attempt to parse the same EPS file into Photoshop, Photoshop will give me the error message "Could not complete your request because Photoshop was unable to parse the PostScript" and it will abort the attempt to open the file.
Anyone else having Illustrator EPS file issues?
Background info (if needed) Dual 2.0 Ghz, PowerMac G5, 8 gb RAM, running Tiger 10.4.11
I have attached a sample Illustrator file that will not Parse.  It will open in Illustrator but not parse into Photoshop or if placed in Quark will not parse and allow for a PDF to be exported.

Thanks for taking the time to write Steve.
I understand that I can drag and drop between programs.  Ultimately, when attempting to parse an EPS in photoshop I am merely doing it to confirm that the EPS is indeed corrupt.
As mentioned previously, I predominately use Quark Xpress for my page layout program and until I installed CS4 I have had zero complications with using EPS files.  Now I quite commonly can not export PDFs due to corrupt EPS files.
My question to the public is I am alone in this glitch or do others experience the same issue.  My first thoughts are that CS4 has a glitch and I should be expecting an update in the near future.  But, if I am the only person suffering from this issue than maybe I should be looking at my own software.

  • Database adapter - table related by foreign key - not picking

    Hi All,
we have a Invoke which picks data from database by using the query feature(not polling) of db adapter.
we are picking data from multiple tables.
there is foreign key relation between tables, which we have defined at the db adapter.
    Parent - > child 1
    > child 2 > child 3
    > child 4 > child 5
So we have a case where parent has 3 rows but children tabls have 3000+.
This error is happening in such cases.
    Please let me know.

Also for above issue , we increased the timeout in transaction manager
transaction-timeout and syncMaxWaitTime properties as follows:
Property     File Location     This Value Must Be...     Example
transaction-timeout     SOA_Oracle_Home\j2ee\home\config\transaction-manager.xml     Larger than the transaction-timeout value in orion-ejb-jar.xml and the syncMaxWaitTime value.     7200
    transaction-timeout     SOA_Oracle_Home\j2ee\home\application-deployments\orabpel\ejb_ob_engine\orion-ejb-jar.xml     Less than the transaction-timeout value in transaction-manager.xml.
Note: You must set all transaction-timeout properties that display in this file.     3600
    syncMaxWaitTime     SOA_Oracle_Home\bpel\domains\domain_name\config\domain.xml
where domain_name is the name of the domain to which you are deploying.     Less than the transaction-timeout value in orion-ejb-jar.xml.     240

  • BUG: foreign key not altered when on delete is changed

    JDeveloper 10.1.2.0.0
Problem: create a master/detail relation in the database diagram. Set the foreign key to restrict references. Generate DDL directly in the database to create the tables and FK. Alter the FK to cascade on delete and regenerate the DDL in the database. The FK does not get the cascade delete value.

  • Can't open .jpg files in Key Note

Why are my .jpg files grayed out in Key Note?  I've created slides before with .jpg files and don't know why I'm not able to do that now.

describe the process you used to create the slides.
There are four reliable ways to put a jpg on a slide:
Do Insert/Choose... pick your jpg and it appears on the slide. BEST
Copy and paste a jpg from another slide
Drag a jpg file from the finder into the slide editor sidebar which simultaneously creates a new slide with the jpg on it
Include it in a smart build
A less reliable way to bring in a jpg is to copy and paste it from another program, like Word. I have found those images to fail quite often.
Which method did you use? Did they look normal the first time they went in?

Well, if you have dropped the keys, you have dropped them. They can't be recreated out of the blue. You need to use modify procedure to save the ALTER TABLE statements in a temp table, drop the keys, truncate the tables, and the run a cursor over the
temp table. In a single transaction, so that you don't lose the keys if the server crashes half-way through.

  • Foreign key not working in a table control set on a pop-up window

    Hi Experts,
I have created a table control using EEWB on BUPA object. I have moved this table control using BUCO transaction to address view. As the address is displayed in BP transaction as a pop-up window, when the error message from the foreign key verification should raise the pop-up window is closed and nothing happens. What I want is the error doesn,t let the window to be closed and show an error message.  Any suggestion to achieve that?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Please check demo program DEMO_DYNPRO_TABLE_CONTROL_2.
Try to copy to custom program and make the following line changes.
    MODULE CHECK_ALL INPUT.
      CASE OK_SAVE.
        WHEN 'ALLM'.
          LOOP AT ITAB.
    *       IF itab-mark = 'X'.

    *       ENDIF.
            ITAB-MARK = 'X'.

  • Composite primary key as foreign key not working

    i want have two tables
in one table i make a composite primary key
and in the other table i refer one of the column of the composite key from the above table as foreign key in this table but this didn't work.
    eg:
    create table temp1
    ( name char2(10),
    ssn# number(10)
    address varchar2(10)
    constraint (cons_1)primary key(name,ssn#) );
    create table temp2
    ( name1 char2(10) references temp1(name),
    add varchar(20));
    this didn't work....can't create temp2 table it's giving error

The following includes some corrections and some suggestions. Your original code had several problems: missing comma, invalid name, invalid data type, no unique key for the foreign key to reference. The following fixes all of those and adds some meaningful names for the constraints and formats it so that it is easier to read.
    CREATE TABLE temp1
      (name       VARCHAR2 (10),
       ssn#       NUMBER   (10),
       address    VARCHAR2 (10),
       CONSTRAINT temp1_name_ssn#_pk
                  PRIMARY KEY (name, ssn#),
       CONSTRAINT temp1_name_uk
                  UNIQUE (name))
    Table created.
    CREATE TABLE temp2
      (name1      VARCHAR2 (10),

  • COPA document is not generating for import sales billing document.

    Hi Gurus,
At the time of billing i got an error that condition type is not assigned to COPA. I assigned the condition type in KE4I and the entry posted but no COPA document generated.
Why the COPA document not generated?
Is there any link between billing type and COPA? if yes, then where we link the same to copa!
Note:- COPA document is generating for other billing documents.
What are the criterias for system to determine the generation of COPA documents?
    It is urgent.
    Regards,
    Ramakanta

    Hi ,
I am really very much appreciate your cooperation for the issue.
When i try the same through KE4S in test run system is showing the below lines.....
Number of billing documents read:                        1
Number of line items to be transferred:                  0
No. of billing doc. items already transferred:           0
Number of billing docs with errors:                      0
Note:- Number of line items to be transfered  0  then there is nothing to transfer to COPA.
    Please suggest.

  • ODI - IKM SQL to File Append - Header not Generated

I'm using ODI IKM SQL to File Append to create a text file, but the header is not being generated. And the GENERATE_HEADER is set to Yes. The file is Tab delimited and the Heading (number of lines) is set to 1.
Seems to only be an issue with HFM files coming from the Unix server.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks, Mike

Ok, getting the following error in step 6 - Integration - HFM_EA_Translate - Insert Column Headers

The last two columns in the file are numeric which seems to be causing the issue. Will change formatting for the two columns (String, Numeric, etc.) to see if I can resolve the header issue.

  • File name field not generating dynamic file name for report printing

    Hello Folks,
I have a report region on a page and have enabled report printing. I would like to have the file name generated dynamically. So, I add the substitution string, say "&P1_CUSTOMER_NAME." (no quotes). The output file I get is literally named "&P1_CUSTOMER_NAME..pdf" (no quotes).
I have seen several posts suggesting the file name field should accept this syntax but, I cannot get it to work.
We are running Application Express 3.2.0.00.27 and BI Publisher.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks for your help.
    -Markus B.

I was finally able to make it work using a page process and the APEX_UTIL.DOWNLOAD_PRINT_DOCUMENT with a submit button.

  • Uploaded files to Publisher not generating "save as" dialog

I've created an "events" portlet in publisher where users can upload an .ics calendar file, however when the file link is clicked it opens the content in the browser window, but I need it to open the "save as/open" dialog.
I've experimented with moving the file around on our server that houses publisher and it seems that the "save as/open" dialog comes up as long as the file isn't in the /ptcs folder. I looked around for Publisher mime-type settings and haven't found one that declares what files open in what ways.
Anyone run into this before or have any suggestions?
I've created a support ticket for this and will post whatever solution we come up with.

The root of the webservers changes from server to server and
sometimes it depends on the path you run webserver exe.
The best i have found to overcome this kind of problems is by
using getResourceAstream() method which basically looks at classpath locations only, but still this has some problems like it should kept at the
specified classpath becoz the getResourceAsStrem() method is not static
method and it always associated with the class object and the file
accessing also should be in the same package/classpath.
by using getResourceastream you cannot look at other places (except classpaths)
and this should be used only if you looking for .properites definitions.
    the Second best method is
see you have a file called "context.txt" right
before you create a file, first create a directory at the root, let say
    "\tmp"
and then create a file \tmp\context.txt
and then open an output stream to it either using fileoutputstreamm...
and then write all output content to servlet/client output stream.
this will be the best becoz you are specifying the "\" the root
and this is common for all operating systems and definitely it will create at the root directory either serverroot or harddiskdrives root
so you will never missout and the exceptin will also not comes along the way
    cheers..
if you get new thing , let me know
    bye
    with regards
