Hi, guys: hard to understand XI IDoc to file,

I have work through this scenario. My colleague have problem to understand it. I think it is a little hard to explain it.
About logical system, We can say ERP send IDoc to  XI , and XI convert it to file. and then the logical system name should be XI client's.  But in XI, we always define business system or business service for other systems not XI itself.  And service FTP2 must have a logical system for IDoc related scenarios , others(RFC,JDBC, file and etc) don't  need.
When we define logical system and partner profile for file system, we use RFC destination from ERP to XI.
For ERP A to ERP B, it is easy to understand, we should define logical system for B system in A , which is identical in B.
logical system, partner profile in SAP ERP, and business service/ business system in XI are both to represent a (logical)business system.
-- if ftp2 use logical system of XI, then another system can't use it. and maybe it can't work, business system can't use XI's logical system.
Any ideas? Am I right?

HI Shen,
You are try to understand this bit complicated concept is on right track.
Let me explain this step wise.
---->
Here XI is just middelware so While sending the IDOC from R/3 to XI you need the Logical system with Receiver Port as directing to XI client. The Receiver Logical system is not imp. incase of sender IDOC.
But when you will be sending the IDOC from XI to R/3 then the Logical system should be maintained, because the inbound IDOC processing program will work as per the details of Contorl IDOC and the Logical system that will point from XI. This will not be the case for other RFC, JDBC, file etc, as they don't have any kind of Control -Records to be maintained.
2. if ftp2 use logical system of XI, then another system can't use it. and maybe it can't work, business system can't use XI's logical system
---->
Yes, Once you have used the Logical system name in any of the Business service or Business system then you can't re-use it. This makes possible the feature of Re-usability. You can create the multiple communication channels under this Business service/system
Hope this will be clear now
Thanks

I have a hard time understanding why I can't contact support about THEIR problem. I plugged my iPhone into my pc. iTunes came up. It said there was an update available for the phone. I accepted that. Clicked on the "download only" because I didn't have the time to install it at that point. It downloaded but didn't stop. It continued to the 'backing up your iPhone' segment then froze. I waited at least an hour with no change. Finally I unplugged my phone..iTunes wasn't responding.I rebooted my pc then tried the same thing again. Same outcome even though I let it "Back Up" for 7-8 hrs while I slept. Same Story...............         iTunes 10.4.0.80 is the software I'm using. When my phone is 'plugged' in what I see on it's face is "Sync in Progress".....for hours!

    Error 1611
This error typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, this error may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Synced media like apps and music are not included in the iPod backup that iTunes makes. You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

How do i get it back! i bought most of my music on itunes but i just dont have any idea where to go and whjat to do can any help me??
    Respond please!

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then see if you can redownload your past music purchases (those that are still in the store) via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you are not in a country where music can currently be re-downloaded, then have you not got it on your computer and/or on a backup ? If not then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

If you want a cross-platform solution that doesn't require the use of third-party software, use an external drive with hardware encryption. The device will have either a physical key or a numeric keypad. I don't have a specific recommendation.

  • Acknowledgements IDOC - XI - File

    Hi all,
    I'm facing the following problem...
There was a scenario IDOC - XI - FILE (lets say from system A to MDM) that was working properly for a while but when we implemented a new IDOC to file from a new system to MDM then the already existing interfaces from A to MDM stopped, all of them were stocked into queues.
In SXMB_MONI all the messages were marked as successfully processed but they weren't delivered, the comm. channel is active and there are not errors but the Queues show this one:
    " CO_TXT_ROUTING_BACK_ERROR "
So we have gone thru all the threads related with this error and we have updated the IDXNOALE table to see if this will solve the further message processing but the thing is, why XI did not deliver the processed messages if they were marked with the success status? How can you retrieve/reprocess all those messages stocked into queues?
Why DEV and QAS were Ok but then PRD started failling? We never updated those tables... but now in PRD we have to.. I don't understand why...
This topic is very confusing for me and for all of us that are facing this problem, so if someone has a very good answer, please  post it...
    Thanks for your help...

  • Party in a scenario IDoc -- XI -- File.?

    Hi folks,
I have a scenario IDoc <> XI <> File. Some IDOCs are LS, KU and LI type. Do I need a XI party to configure this scenario?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ricardo.

    Thanks for the quick answers
Remember that I also have File -> XI -> IDoc.
But, I still don't understand how SAP backend can distinguish the same IDOC for different partner types, ex. ORDERS05 type LS and/or KU. When the IDoc arrives the backend how it knows which type of IDoc is dealing?
    Cheers,
    Ricardo.

  • IDOC- XI- File: Acknowledgements

    Hello
We are on 2004s, SAP Basis patch level 0007. We have a IDOC->XI->File scenario and we want to use ALEAUD for acknowledgements.
Of late, we see that any IDOC sent to XI, gets mapped and successfully written to flat file but an ALEAUD sent to the back end SAP system makes the status of original IDOC to 40 (Application document not created in target system).
I understand File adatper cannot handle application acknowledgements but previously we used to receive ALEAUD which would make the status of original IDOC to '39' and not '40'.
We also find in the adapter monitoring, for acknowledgements from file service to back end SAP system, there isn't any receiver determined however, the status of the message is successful.
Has anyone faced this problem? I am wondering if this is an issue with a patch and have a OSS message opened up but would be great if someone can share similar experience and how the same was solved.
    Thanks

  • IDOC Flat File-- XI-- IDOC

    Hi,
I have a requirement wherein we have to read the IDOC flat file and post it as IDOC to SAP using XI. I understand we have to use the Flat File Sender adapter and the IDOC Receiver Adapter. On the Sender Side we have to define the Content Conversion to convert the IDOC Flat File to IDOC XML. Writing File Content Conversion for the IDOC Flat File would be very tedious because of the number of fields and fixed structure of the flat file.
I have don through the following guide Section 3.2 where it talks abt converting IDOC to IDOC XML using reportRSEINB00.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/xi/xi-how-to-guides/how%20to%20convert%20between%20idoc%20and%20xml%20in%20xi%203.0.pdf
I am not clear how to invoke this report in the Flat File Sender adapter. Also is there any other approach.
    Thanks
    Rajeev Gupta

    Hi Rajeev
You have a flatfile at the sender side so you dnt  have any feasiable option to do other than FCC....FCC is not a tediuos one...if you can provide the strucutrre we will help you out...
Check out you have a fixedlength file or piple separated one....
In the functional design how many fields re present and buil the DT,MT MI accoprdingly.....
you have to just use some conecnt conversion parameters that's it...
    item.fieldSeparator
    item.endSeparator
    item.fieldNames
here item is your recordset name
    let us know your strucutre

  • Does it mean.....IDOC - XI - File

    Hi Experts,
I am very new to XI..
    for IDOC to File
If IDOC resides at R/3 side then you don't require sender communication channel and sender agreement. Because it resides at Integration Engine. What does it mean?
My doubt is here if, File to IDOC
then same as like, you shouldn't require receiver communication channel and as well..Am I right??
    Regards,
    YRaj.

    Hi,
    IDOC Resides on ABAP Stack
    RFC Resides on J2EE Stack
Here I Will tel u the Message Flow Behind this
    When u r Using a RFC Adapter
First the adapter Shld Pic the Msg Using the RFC CC.
Then It will give the Msg to IE , the IE Can Post the Msg to IS Using the XI Adapter Internally.
So this is the Mechanism to post the Msg From Sender to IS---This is Onward journey
So If u Consider For IDOC Means
Here IDOC Resides on IE , So Here no Need of Adapter To Process the Steps so that IE can Receive the Msg.
    So this is the Flow
Message Flow in XI----Please Go through this
