Cost VPRS in 3rd Party TAB scenario

Hi,
we are using 3rd party processing for some of our materials. In this case sales order triggers the purchase requistion and hence purchase order. Then for TAB, do MIGO and then we post invoice verification for this GR. Then we create delivery and finally billing to customer. Now the problem is that in Billing, VPRS is still taking the value of Sales order VPRS value Hence the cost appearing in Billing is not accurate.
Hence the profit margin calculations are not correct.
Can anyone suggest the way to populate the value of MIRO in VPRS while billing?
Interestingly, when using TAS scenario, we are getting the MIRO cost in Billing into VPRS but not so for TAS...
Thanks

Hi,
Inbound delivery is one way of doing it but in our case, the vendor would deliver the goods at out plant and we simply take the stocks into out inventory by MIGO. Even In inbound delivery process, we do goods receipt from the delivery doc itself (hence equivalent to MIGO)
Now the Vendor sends the invoice in hard copy and we go MIRO w.r.t the PO issued earlier. Now logic says that whatever value we pass in the MIRO should be the actual cost of the product and should be picked up in VPRS in the billing doc for our customer.....
I dont know whether i have been able to explain this or not.
And to your question of using TAB instead of TAS....TAB we are using for some vendors who would not deliver directly to our c/s (like in TAS) but would deliver to our plant and we in turn would deliver to ur c/s.

  • 3rd Party Sales Scenario

I have yet another scenario to know about.......
Suppose there are some bought out items which are being delivered free of cost to the customer with the stock items, then do we need to configure the 3rd party sales scenario?
These materials are bought in bulk and kept in stock and not on order to order basis.
    Await advice.

There is no need to use Third Party Sales since the procurement is not based on sale order. You have to follow the regular procurement scenario and then determine them in the sale order using free goods determination.

  • IDOC as a receiver adapter in XI to 3rd party scenario

    Hi All,
I have an requirement to connect sap xi and 3rd party. the scenario as given below:
    sap ecc 6.0  --> sap xi --> 3rd party
Here ecc is sending an idoc to the 3rd party. The 3rd party is SAP certified and intelligent enough to receive and send idocs. Here I'm using a idoc adapter as a receiver adapter. In the receiver adapter I have to give a rfc destination and a port name.
My question is how to create a rfc destination for the 3rd party. and which port name we'll use in this case. Is the port name will be the 3rd party port name is yes then how I can create a port in the 3rd party system.
    Please help.
    Regards,
       Santosh

A communication channel with a receiver IDoc adapter can be created automatically for business systems that are defined in the System Landscape Directory. refer this link
    [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/42/d1a4d665c5574fa6e19784358ec948/frameset.htm]
You need to configure the receiver IDoc adapter to convert Integration Server contents from IDoc-XML to native IDoc format and to forward the IDocs to an SAP system .
you create a port and the rfc destination pointing to receiver in PI system
use tcode sm59 for creating rfc destination and IDX1 to create port and map it to  rfc destination.

  • 3rd Part Dropship Scenario with Sales BOM

    Hi
We have a 3rd Party Dropshipment scenario with Sales BOM with susequent Debit
    Characteristics of Sales BOM
    Sales BOM is created
Header Material is Valuated but non-inventorised (Accounting and costing view should exist)
Component Material is Valuated and inventorised
In Sales order, Pricing is done at the header material not at the components level
During Billing we get the COGS for the header material (cost coming from VPRS)
No VPRS exist at component level instead we have copy of VPRS just to capture the value in COPA for our reporting
    Process
    1. Sales Order created with Sales BOM exploded in sales order.
    2. At the Item level Purchase requisition is created.
    3. PR for the components is converted to PO
    4. Vendor Delivers the components to Customer.
    5. Statistical GR done in our system.
    6. Invoicing is done in MIRO
    7. We directly do the Billing. Billing is created at header level. Revenue and COGS is reported at Header level only.
We are stuck when we are doing the Subsequent Debit (can be for any unplanned cost). For Susequent Debit we are not able to report differential COPA at header level.
Normally whenever you do subsequent debit in case of 3rd party dropship for normal material, COPA document automatically attached to Billing. This is happening because of the behaviour of VPRS condition type. In our case VPRS only exists at header level and not at component level but replenishment is for components. Subsequent debit is also happening at component level. We need it to be reported at header level.
We need some solution to this.
    Please advise

    Hi Raj,
Please clarified your requirement here, you mention that you wanted to valuated COGS at actual cost of PO? That sound more like actual costing here and what is the reason for this requirement?
Is this MTO with variant configuration?
If this is MTO with VC, Yes - we do cost Sales Order and here is the brief steps:-
    Price Control S
    a) Sales Order Creation - Normally when you save this will be costed and marked automatically. Note that condition type EK02 will represent the cost here
    b) Run MRP based on Sales Order requirement which resulting planned orders, PR, etc
    c) Convert PR-PO, Planned Order -> Production Order
    d) Confirmations, GR on PO which valuated according to the SCE Costing in step a)
    e) PGI will be based on the GR value on step d) which is also your SCE Costing
    f) Any variance between PO and SCE need to be settle.

Third Party order processing in Sales
Third party order in Sales (in case of external procurement)
In this business scenario Company A accept the sales order of customer and asked third company/Vendor to deliver the goods and bills you. Subsequently you raise the invoice to the customer.
In this scenario Material type plays important role.  While creating material in material master , material type to be selected as  Trading goods and Item category group is BANS in sales :Sales org 2 tab and Procurement type to marked as F in MRP 2 Tab.
Item category - TAS - Maintain Billing relevance in VOV7 as F.
Schedule line category- CS-This is standard schedule line category is provided by SAP for Third party Sales. If you need to change, copy it and make necessary changes.
CS triggers purchase requisition automatically in the back ground when save the sales order.
Assignment - CS to TAS in VOV5 and TAS to your order type in VOV4.
Company A creates Sales order and Saves it. As soon as it is saved Purchase requisition is created in the back ground (Due to schedule line category)and authorized person converts it to purchase order and ask vendor to supply the goods to the customer. The vendor sends the bill to the company A. Company verifies the Invoice and raise invoice to the Customer.
    The sequence of T-codes is VA01- ME21N- MIRO-VF01
It is assumed that MM and SD module are in place.

  • 3rd party stock with fully delivered status in PO(without GR)

    Dear Gurus,
Currently we are having a 3rd party stock scenario with the below steps:
    1. Create a third-party item in a sales order. The system automatically creates a PR for each third-party item in the sales order.
    2. Entering a PO to Vendor with reference to the requisition third-party item.
    3. The vendor deliver the goods to the customer directly. (We did not post a statistical goods receipt in Inventory Management)
    4. Enter the invoice receipt in Invoice Verification
    5. Create a billing document in SD.
    Problem::
    - When checking the PO status in the header tab, the PO is still shown as "not delivered" (or outstanding).
    - This has affect our customised PO reports which is using "delivery complete indicator" as one of the key to control of the PO status.
    Need resolutions:
    - How do we change the PO status to "fully delivered" for 3rd party stock?  (Without setting the delivery complete indicator manually?)
    - Is it possible to have the "delivery complete indicator" set automatically in PO upon MIRO or Billing document is generated.  (The user don't want to post a goods receipt in IM).
    - Any user exit?
Looking forward to having your response.

    Hi,
As your report for PO is customized you can easily include the logic that can
identify  third party PO (from account assignment, Item category fields in EKPO)
now after getting the PO ( and line item ) check EKBE table for LIV document (VGABE =2) and
compare the Qty (MENGE) with PO line item quantity if both are same then consider that as
"closed" or " not include in list".
{and if you want to check the billing document too you can use VBFA table (sales document flow ) to check billing is done or not
    against sales order number
    to get the sales order number use EKKN table to get the sales order number( VBELN) for PO and item no }

  • 3rd Party Order Status Issue

    Hi Guys,
In a 3rd party sales scenario, order status becomes complete even when it is partially invoiced. for example order qty is 4, PR created for 4 qty, PO created for 4 qty, MIRO is done for 2 qty, Customer Invoice is done for 2 qty. At this situation, the order status goes to complete. When I do a MIRO for the remaining 2 qty, the order status becomes being processed and when I create invoice for the remaining 2 qty, the status becomes complete.
Question here is, is there a way to prevent the order from getting into complete status before it is fully invoiced?
    Let me know guys.

    Hi,
You cannot achieve this using standard customizing, as for thord party the billing quanity is always proposed against MIRO and the logic is that after partial delivery/invoicing by supplier, the sales order becomes completed. If you expect partial deliveries )or you have planned them with the supplier), you need to split the sales order qty into separate items according to the actual delivery date by the supplier.

  • The item is not relevant for billing. 3rd Party Sale

    Hello, experts,
I have met a problem in 3rd party sale scenario. Here is the situation:
    1. I have created a sales order using a 3re party item (item category: tas and billing type: order-related billing). And the PR is generated successfully at the schedule line level.
    2. In the next step, I have created PO with reference to this PR.
    3. As in my situation, the items are sent to customer by vendor directly, there is no need to maintain MIGO and MIRO.
    4. I try to creat billing with reference to the sales order and here appears the error. The log shows:
"The item is not relevant for billing."
There are actually many threads in the forum and I have tried much of them.
I have checked firstly in VOV8 the sales order type->the order-related billing type for OR(standard sales order) is F2.
VOV7 the item category type->tas billing relevance: F (order-related billing)
VTFA the copy control->F2 with OR and in the item level, the item category tans is also maintained.
I can not decide where the problem is. Any idee?
    Thanks,
    Fan

    Hi
    3. As in my situation, the items are sent to customer by vendor directly, there is no need to maintain MIGO and MIRO.
    This statement is absolutely wrong
MIGO is optional in third party transactions and MIRO is a Must
Third party item cat billing relevance is F
F: Order-related billing doc. - status according to invoice quantity
Relevant for order-related billing documents based on the invoice receipt quantity (third-party business transaction). The system transfers the order into the billing due list only after the vendor invoice has been received and processed in the purchasing department. After the receipt of each invoice, a  customer invoice is created for the quantity that appears on the vendor invoice. The order has status "Billed" until the next vendor invoice is received.
Item category TAS (Third party item) is set up with billing relevance "F" in the standard system.
This is the SAP explanation of F billing relevance
Maintain the copy control settings in VTFA as suggested by the other friend
Without MIRO you cannot invoice the customer in third party

  • 3rd Party Sales Configuration

    Hi Gurus,
Please help me with the Standard 3rd Party sales Scenario configuration in SAP
Conceptually I a mclear with the process, but how do we map it in SAP.
I tried doing it by manually changing the item category to TAS, and then doing billing, but the log says item category not relevant for billing.
Should I create a new sales order document type with default Item Category as TAS??
Is it possible to have  a TAS in std order type 'OR' with other item categories as TAN ?
    Shall appreciate quick help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks
    Raheel

Understand the Business process to the core then apply that to SAP.
    Thrird party business would be
    1. You have to give a commodity / product to a customer , which you do not manufacture , so you ask one of your vendors to deliver the same to the customer on your behalf and finally you bill the customer and give the mone to vendor.
Configuration again in the forom if you will search will get through
    material ->item category group: bans
so item category will be tas in sales order.
Step1: create the sales order which will automatically generate the PR
Step 2: Take the PR and create the PO
Step 3: Go a PO based LIV.
    Step4: Bill the sales order.
There is no GRN and outbound delivery.
    Thanks !
    A S

  • Assign manual cost and profit center for 3rd party purchase order

When we have a 3rd party purchase order we need to assign OUR cost and profit center to that document.  Here is the scenario:
We buy a product from a vendor for $10 and then re-sell the product to a customer for $100.  Instead of posting this information to either cost or profit center of the vendor and customer, we need to assign the $10 to our company cost center and the $90 to our company's profit center.  We are basically acting as a middle man for selling a product.
I am fairly a newbie, so please provide detailed answers if possible.  We create the sales order in VA01 and create the purchase order in ME22N.

    HI Kapil,
For any accounting entry you need to define a General Ledger Account where the details (Amount) of the transaction will be stored.
Just by maintaining cost centre will not help in completing any transaction involving accounts. So you need to  maintain G/L account in the controlling area of your company code.
You can use T Code FS00 to create new G/L account in the chart of accounts.
In the edit cost element Tab you can give the cost center that you want.
    I hope this helps.
    thanks

  • ATP for 'Stock in transit' for 3rd Party scenario

    We have a scenario:
For warehouse replenishments an STO is created and then a delivery is subsequently created for the STO. Once the delivery has been shipped out of the manufacturing facility (post goods issued) the materials on the delivery are transferred from unrestricted-stock at the manufacturing facility to stock-in-transit at the receiving warehouse. Once the stock is in transit to the third-party warehouses, ATP should then take it into consideration when deliveries are created from the third-party warehouses to customers.
Now how to take the ATP check for 3rd party del. into consideration for STO?
    STO document type is UD
Goods issue movement type is 641
Goods receipt movement type is 101

  • PO no of customer in ORDERS05 IDoc with 3rd party scenario

    Hello experts,
we have the scenario where we are getting purchase orders from our customer (which is in the same system like we are). Then we create SO for the customer and a PO to the external vendor. The goods should be delivered directly to the customer.
In that 3rd party scenario we will send our PO via ORDERS05 IDoc to the vendor. Once the vendor is shipping the goods, he sends us an ASN and we create a statistical GR.
Now our target is to give our customer somehow the information, that the delivery shipped from the vendor will be based on his PO to us. Do you know a way how we can give his PO no. to the vendor in the SAP standard ORDERS05 IDoc? Otherwise, is there a standard process to send our customer also the information that we received the ASN from vendor and transfer this information (maybe also as an ASN) to the customer with his PO no., so he can create an inbound delivery already?
    Thanks.

  • Can one 3rd Party add-in hide tabs added by other 3rd Party add-ins?

I have a C++/COM add-in that produces a Ribbon with a subset of the standard Word controls. I would like this ribbon to contain only the controls I have placed there, i.e. not to contain tabs inserted by other 3rd party add-ins (e.g. Adobe PDFMaker).
I can see how the user can remove these tabs using the Customize Ribbon functionality, but can't find a programmatic way to exclude the tabs from my own ribbon (modifying the XML to include <ribbon startFromScratch="true"> seems to affect only
the built-in tabs). To be clear, I do not want to disable the other add-ins, only to exclude their tabs and menu items from my custom Ribbon. Can this be done?

    Hello,
No. The Fluent UI (Ribbon UI) extensibility model doesn't provide anything for that. But you can try to unload other add-ins at runtime setting the
Connect property of other third-party add-ins to false. The Connect property returns True if
the add-in is active; it returns False if the add-in is inactive. An active add-in is registered and connected; an inactive add-in is registered but not currently connected.
Or set an appropriate key in the windows registry to prevent other add-ins from loading, see
Registry Entries for Application-Level Add-Ins for more information.
You can read more about the Ribbon in the following series of articles in MSDN:
