Could I get result in xml from webservice (my client is java application)?

Hi,
I have a client which is a java application to call to my existed webservice and webservice return object result is okie. But I would like to get the result which is wrapped in xml file, not object? Can webservice do that? (If not, I have to wrap the result in xml by hand).
Anyone who know please help me. Very urgent, I have to have answer in 1 day.

The result when we call to my webservice is an object which contain data, I don't want to get this object, I would like to gain an equivalent xml instead of object ( I don't know if webservice support this).
Yes, the last way is convert result java object to xml. But I think web service should support get xml results because client call to webservice is whatever, right?

A function can only return one value, but it sounds like you want to return 4 values.
The one value that you return can be a record, with many columns, such as a ROWTYPE, or a TYPE that you define.
You can return an XMLTYPE that has whatever elements you want.
You can write a procedure that has several OUT parameters. (You can have OUT parameters in a function, but a lot of people find that confusing.)
In very special circumstance, you might consider returning a string that is a delimited list of values, such as '7639,SMITH,,17-DEC-1980'.
Someoneelse has a good point.
We could give a better answer if you ask a specific question, like:
"I have this table ...
I want a function such that, if I call it with these parameters ... I get ...
but if I call it like this ... then I get ..."

1- The webservice will return the execution of an RFC, so, how get Java this XML Code that contains the information of the parameters and tables? With tags?.
2- How i can traduce this xml code / tags, for example, to print a grid with the information received of the table parameter?
3- Will you have an example of xml that comes from a webservice or rfc?

For instance, here I have used BAPI_BANK_GETLIST. I generated a WSDL, then I did a "loopback" by generating a client proxy so that to know how to call it, started the ICF recording (SICF), tested the proxy, and I obtain that:

Security Agent: Could not get the user record from OpenDirectory

Hi,
Two months ago I had to change my SSD due to a damage at the old one. In the Apple shop they installed OS X Lion with a image from their image-server.
After that the Mac was quite slow in booting. With the old SSD (128 GB) booting takes 25 sec now it takes 75 sec.
I tried different things to solve the problem without result. First I asked in the shop, then I googled the problem all with no real solution.
Today now I searched in the log files. I found the following:

I get the same error message as the OP. My account is an Admin on the machine. It's configured to automatically log in on boot -- except sometimes it fails. It has a login-item which runs a bash script that makes an https request to a nearby machine. Maybe I should make this script sleep a while so the https action happens after the boot sequence is done? (unlike SmashHuevo, my user needs to be an Admin)

My SUS working for clients comp and showing the Mac OS X 10.6.5 Update - not Combo Update (Combo Update downloaded also and I can see it in Server Admin)! But I would like to install the Combo Update - is it possible? How I can get the Combo Update if it is not shown in the list?

"Could not get the audio data from the file" error

Hi
I get a lot of "Could not get the audio data from the file" errors when opening a project. Sometimes they crash Premiere Pro CC 7.01 (Mac). But if not Premiere works as usual, with the audio.
I tried to convert the audio files (coming from Audition) from 32 to 16 bit. It worked while opening a project once, but not the following times.
Where can it come from ?
Edit: I also get this error when importing audio: "Error: Premiere Pro version 7.0 is not compatible with the Premiere Pro Plug-in version 5.7.4". Maybe it is connected.

Got it! It was the Smartsound plugin making trouble. Got rid of it and no more errors.

Installing BDB XML and including it into a java application

Hi there :)
I'm new to BDB XML and I've got some questions about it :
1/ The documentation says about BDB XML that it is based on BDB. Does it mean that I need to install the standard BDB first to use BDB XML ? (I'm pretty sure I don't have to but I would like a confirmation =))
2/ I want to developp a web application which will use BDB XML. The documentation says I need to add some jars into my project to use it but do I need to install it on my computer (Windows XP) first ? (with the .msi file ?)
3/ Where will the xml files be physically stored after I add them into the database ? (what is the default database folder on the hard disk ?)

Hi Gary,
1) You need to install only DB XML. BDB is bundled with DB XML, so you don't have to worry.
2) Yes, you need to add two jars: db.jar and dbxml.jar. But these jars depend on native DB XML libraries, so you will have to install DB XML anyway: only jars wouldn't be sufficient. Moreover, I would recommend to install DB XML from sources providing the --enable-java+ flag to the buildall.sh script
3) All XML files will be stored in a container or containers (depending on how many of those you will decide to utilize in your application). It is up to you where you are going to reside DB XML environment/containers -- DB XML is quite low-level XML-database.

So I made service.returnType=’e4x’;
In that case it returns data as XML.
I need to get useful data from it after Snapshot:

Using E4X, like:

it does return XMLList (tried different variants), but debugger shows nothing at all inside that XMLList.

Can I skip Envelope, going to Body as one of its children? suppose I can...
a) root.SOAP-ENV:Body would give compilation errors because of ‘-‘, ‘:’

c) root.Body[0] returns NULL
Any idea how to extract the load from ADS Response (envelope)?
What can I do regarding XML Namespaces in E4X ?
If I set service.returnType="xml" it returns data as XMLNode's.
But I prefer to use E4X if possible.

GET, Modify, POST XML from Web Service Requests (Webtests)

I'm using load testing to exercise an API, so I'm creating many small webtests which mimic typical user operations. One of my operations will be a GET of transaction data and a PUT of that same data, slightly modified.
I'm able to capture the response from the GET in an extraction rule and resubmit to the API, the question is how to manipulate the XML so that there's a small typical edit. What's the best way to do this?
I understand the nature of the web test plug-ins, as the "cartilage" around the bones of the webservice requests. I would much rather angle towards a plugin than convert to a coded test and modify that way. I like the normal non-coded
test interface but I dont know that the webtest plugin nor webtest request gives me the granularity the coded webtest does. Unfortunately, I dont like the fact I can't easily debug through the coded webtest.
This seems like a straightforward operation. Do I understand all my options? How would you do this?

On further review, I might have figured this out. I misunderstood something I read online. The web test request plug-ins can be associated with an individual service call and aren't automatically applied to all service calls in a web performance
test collection.

But it seems the finish10 column is not in MSP_EpmAssignment_Userview or MSP_EpmTask_Userview.

Well, the easiest option would be to have a "message" parameter that gets passed back from the PL/SQL block to the calling Java application.
I'm guessing, though, that you wouldn't be asking the question if the easy solution was a viable option... If that's the case, you're going to have to describe the problem in a bit more detail...
