Couldn't recieve alerts from Nexus 1000v using CiscoWorks
I set up automated action and syslog.log shows the message. But still i couldn't recieve alerts from Nexus 1000v switches indicating ESX host is online or offline. I was able to recieve these alerts before. But failed to receive thos recently. What can be the reason. If it helps the SyslogCollector Status shows lots of invalid messages. I am not sure if those are messages that do not confirm to standard syslog messaging format.

Currently there is not a way to change the the binding type of portgroup. It is always set to "static binding"

- here the actual problem is the xml node <enclosure> contains images but in using the method "didEndElement" , it doesn't parse into the <enclosure> node. ya so please help me in parsing and getting the image.

Why does my PC not receive photos from relatives who posted them through icloud from a MAC?
Windows.
I pay for it every month through a subscription, however, photoshop isn't
appearing in my menu on any of the computers which it was installed through
creative cloud. Nor does it appear in the menu as an app that I can
download when I access the files on creative cloud. All of the other applications
have an icon to download, but photoshop does not appear as an option.
If I can't use it...I don't want to keep paying for it. -
Not recieving Alerts from Digital life
I've sent my digital life to send me a text and email when the system loses AC power and restores power. the programs are there and when you run them manually they work. However when we actually lose power I never get notified. This only started happening after the system had an update. Anyone else have this problem or know how to get it fixed.
Not recieving at all. I've had technicians out to my house, tier two has been engaged, and nothing has been fixed. the only text alert I get, is when I turn my house alarm off. 2. Also I enabled Dynamic Text in alert category which is used to get the dynamic text from mapping.. Hence i cannot use Short and Long texts tab in Alert Category to generate the subject line.
Hence Subject line is coming with process ID, looks like I cannot change?

Nexus 1000v .jar file missing from Nexus1000v.5.2.1.SV3.1.1
Hello ALL!
I am trying to install and configure Nexus 1000v, for the first time and looking to configure the second stage of linking the Nexus 1000v switch to vCenter and from tutorials and white papers say to continue the install using a .jar file. However not seeing this file in the latest release in 1000v zip file.
I can see this .jar file in the version 4 release and re-downloaded the v5 just incase it was corrupt and from a different machine; no .jar file.

I want to use alerts from an ApEx application (after I insert to a table for example), the problem is that alerts can only be run as the apps account.
Is there a way to make alerts work?The question was misunderstood.
Because Oracle apps uses a different security scheme then apex you'll really have to code for it within your alert. Any user that updates/inserts/deletes on the table you would base your alert on will fire the trigger not just "apps" user. However because the apex users are not apps and not in fnd_user table the transaction would get recorded as anonymous user (user_id = -1). Probably the best you could do would be put some "if" statements in your alert to check for user not found in fnd_user then make a v('APP_USER') call to get the apex user_name. Because your dealing with two different security schemes you can't do anything but work around's.

ThanksNo. When you purchase support from Vmware, they are your support contact and they will escalate support to Cisco on your behalf if needed. This is the case for all OEM support. Cisco provides support for RHEL, Microsoft and VMware. We follow the same practice.
Deciding who to purchase support from is a decision of single point of contact for all VMware & N1K related issues vs. maintaining separate support contracts with each vendor individually.

XI Alerts from UDF using file adapter.
I need to send alerts from XI message mapping. I have the file ---> file scenario but don't want he stop the process if any failures in the mapping. If I find any failures, I need to catch the those failures and send as alerts/email report. As per the link /people/bhavesh.kantilal/blog/2006/07/25/triggering-xi-alerts-from-a-user-defined-function, I am not sure whether I can use LookupService for file adapter or not. Can anyone give me some idea on how to send the alerts from UDF using he file adapter ?

Since you are talking about receiving emails, do you see the emails in SOIN transaction (or report RSBCSIN)? Have you tried telnet directly to the SAPConnect plugin as described on note [607108|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/607108]
What is the value of parameter is/SMTP/virt_host_<*>?

If can be done but you need any network management software. I personally dont think you can ask your ask to send mails. ASA can trigger alert to a SNMP configured server which will intern send mail to you

I bought some ringtones and alerts from itunes and it won't let me use them for text alerts or voicemail. Am I doing something wrong? Other ringtones I have downloaded work.
What does won't let you use them mean exactly?

My iPhone 5 does not allow me to send or recieve any texts from anyone not using iMessage - I've already checked my settings and everything is where it should be. Any other possible ideas?
Contact your carrier to make sure there's nothing wrong with your account.
Also, it may be worth going into Settings>General>Reset and choosing Reset Network Settings. You'll lose saved wifi passwords but you won't see any other changes. That may resolve the issue.

I got a blacklisted iphone 5 from att and I reset it and now when I try to set it up it needs a sim card so I went to the att store and they put a sim in and on the iPhone it says replacement needed couldn't complete activation.i just want use it as a ipod
To use it as an iPod it must be activated...to do that it has to accept a sim. A blacklisted iPhone cannot do that. Take it back to AT and T where you got it and get your money back.

We are planning to install Cisco Nexus 1000v in our environment. Before we want to install we want to explore little bit about Cisco Nexus 1000v
• I know there is 2 elements for Cisco 1k, VEM and VSM. Does VSM is required? Can we configure VEM individually?
• How does Nexus 1k integrated with vCenter. Can we do all Nexus 1000v configuration from vCenter without going to VEM or VSM?
• In term of alarming and reporting, does we need to get SNMP trap and get from individual VEM or can be use VSM to do that. OR can we get Cisco Nexus 1000v alarming and reporting form VMware vCenter.
• Apart from using Nexus 1010 can what’s the recommended hosting location for VSM, (same Host as VEM, different VM, and different physical server)

Here is a brief on the Nexus1000v and I'll answer some of your questions in that:
The Nexus1000v is a Virtual Distributed Switch (software based) from Cisco which integrated with the vSphere environment to provide uniform networking across your vmware environment for the host as well as the VMs. There are two components to the N1K infrastructure 1) VSM 2) VEM.
VSM - Virtual supervisor module is the one which controls the entire N1K setup and is from where the configuration is done for the VEM modules, interfaces, security, monitoring etc. VSM is the one which interacts with the VC.
VEM - Virtual ethernet module are simply the module or virtual linecards which provide the connectivity option or virtual ports for the VMs and other virtaul interfaces. Each ESX host today can only have one VEM. These VEMs recieve their configuration / programing from the VSM.
If you are aware of any other switching products from Cisco like the Cat 6k switches, the n1k behaves the same way but in a software / virtual environment. Where the VSM are equal of a SUPs and the VEM are similar to the line cards. The control and the packet VLANs in the n1k provide the same kind of AIPC and Inband connectivity as the 6k backplane would for the communication between the modules and the SUP (VSM in this case).
*The n1k configuration is done only from the VSM and is visible in the VC.However the port-profiles created from the VSM are pushed from the VSM to the VC and have to be assigned to the virtual / physical ports from the VC.
*You can run the VSM either on the Nexus1010 as a Virtual service blade (VSB) or as a normal VM on any of the ESX/ESXi server. The VSM and the VEM on the same server are fully supported.
