Count @section

Hi,
Is there a way to count each time an @section is executed? I'm using the @section to update header information and it is resetting the page number for each change in a particular field. I was wondering if there is any workaround to this behavior.
thanks

Hi King,
We tried using a variable for the page number but we're having problems making it work. The variable is in the header and the for loop for the variable starts on the body.

  • Two Counter channels in one task ID with DAQmx?

    I am writing a program which will control the movement of a gimble on the X and Y axis with servo motors while recieving
    position feed back from two encoders on those axis. I am using a 6251M series card's AO to control the movement
    of the gimble, while running the encoders into a 6602 for position. When setting up my task ID in MAX I noticed I could add
    both ctr0 and ctr1 to the task ID, but  when I tried read the counters with that task I got an error in Labview and with the
    test function in MAX  saying I need to use a multichannel read. I can not find a multichannel read under the counter
    section of my DAQmx read, and was wondering if this is even possible. I am used to programming with Traditional DAQ
    and know you have to keep separate counter task ID's, but having bought an M series card and having to use DAQmx I
    was wanting to know if I could combine them.
    Thanks

    You can have multiple channels in a single task, but those channels all
    have to be of the same type.  You can have analog inputs together
    with other analog inputs, but cannot combine digital inputs/outputs,
    analog outputs or counter tasks with that analog input task.
    Once you pair only like tasks together then you shouldn't run into any more issues like this.

  • Hit Counter For Web Site Now Working?

    I have a web site that was published with iWeb 06. I am using a domain name at GoDaddy and forwarding to .Mac using masking so the site shows with the domain name not the .Mac address. If you went to the site by entering the domain name the hit counter on the first page would not show. However, if you entered the .Mac address to go to the site the counter would show.
    Well the site was republished and upgraded with iWeb 08. Recently I noticed that the hit counter now shows regardless of how you go to the site. I was pleasantly surprised but when did this happen? Of course as others have noticed, on my .Mac home page on the side bar where the website pages are listed the counter numbers no longer show. So they took something away and gave something back?
    John

    I don't think Apple meant to take away the .Mac counter section of the .Mac page. I think it's a bug that they have yet to resolve. It would be interesting to see if anyone has asked Apple about this and if they gave a definitive answer?

  • Next/Prev in Report row counter

    How do you have the Next/Prev selectors appear with the row counter section at the bottom of reports.
    I created an SQL report, and although I selected use report pagination, the Next/Prev selectors are missing at the bottom of the report with the row counter.
    If I manually create an Next/Prev process, this build buttons outside the report row counter in the report region. Since all my other reports have the selectors inside the report with the counters, it looks goofy to sudddenly have Next/Prev buttons outside the report.
    Thanks

    Kevin,
    Edit the report's attributes and verify that pagination is indeed turned on. Also, are you using HTML DB 1.6?

  • Tick Count Express VI outputs '0' on FPGA target running with Simulated I/O

    When I set my target to "Execute VI on Development Computer with Simulated I/O", the Tick Count VIs all output '0 every time they execute. How can I get them to output a progressive count (in the "ticks" instance) or a proper timestamp (in the "ms" instance)?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I used LabVIEW 2013 SP1 and I was unable to reproduce this issue on my end. The screenshot below shows my result.
    As shown on the Front Panel, the output from the Tick Count Express VI was not 0 on every iteration of the loop.
    To make sure we are comparing the same code, can you reproduce this issue with the Tick Count shipping example?  You can find this shipping example in the Toolkits and Modules>>FPGA>>CompactRIO>>Fundamentals>>Clocks and Timing>>Tick Count section in the LabVIEW Example Finder.

  • High SQL version count and low executions from ADDM Report!!

    Hi, all.
    I am reading an ADDM Report.
    I found something strange.
    In the "SQL ordered by Version Count" section,
    an applicaion sql statement has the value of 45 Version count
    but has the value of 1 Executions. The time interval is one hour.
    The database has only one applicaion user,
    and thus all sessions connect to the same user.
    What does "45 version count" mean??
    The application is using bind variables.
    How can I reduce this number??
    I am hitting "library cache lock" wait event from time to time.
    Thanks and Regards.

    You could get a high version count if the bind variables are character type and allow large variations in length, see:
    http://jonathanlewis.wordpress.com/2007/01/05/bind-variables/
    The oddity of lots of versions with only one execution could be an unlucky timing thing relating to cursor invalidation - the child cursors can be left trailing with zero'ed statistics rather than being cleared out when they should be.
    Problems with library cache lock can be a consequence of large numbers of versions - simply because many people want, and may have to create, different child cursors for the same statement at the same time. (However, you've already received some comments about RAC and gathering stats which can be an underlying cause of that issue).
    Looking at it from a different angle, are there any global temporary tables involved, and if so are they 'on commit preserve rows', and Is this 10.1 or 10.2 ?

  • Printing on a wireless and ethernet network

    Just installed AEBS wireless network:
    Comcast modem to AESB - to USB printer, and to hub.
    iMac G5 and MacBook on wireless cards from AESB
    iMac G4 ethernet to hub
    HL LaserJet 5m ethernet to hub
    wireless part was a snap, and all can print to USB printer
    HP LaserJet can be seen by all, but no one can print to it.
    LaserJet has an assigned IP 192.168.1.6 (can be seen on the test page). this is in the range that the AESB provides.
    all units have internet access.
    what am I missing?
    I had a Netgear router/firewall in the place of the hub, but removed it and replaced it with the Asante hub because I thought there might be some conflicts with router and the AESB.
    repaired permissions, currently getting a message "unable to get printer status (server-error-operation-not-supported)!"
    just can't figure out what to do next.
    printer had always been reliable on an ethernet network.
    thanks for any help.

    PSU shows it as defaultt printer and "idle".
    when I go to print a document, everything looks normal as the job is sent to the printer, but when I look at the printer. it shows connecting on port 631 until I get an error message.
    can it be the port assignment that is wrong?
    My Printer self test sheet shows that "AppleTalk is Ready"
    the test sheet is where I founf the IP address after AEBS setup
    by seeing the printer, I mean thet when the print dialogue box comes up, the printer is there.
    actually, that is probably not quite true.
    I "added" the printer, named by its assigned IP address.
    In the AEBS setup, I changed the address convention to 192.168.1.XXX from the default.
    no particular reason, other than to check the change of the assigned IP addresses for the network nodes.
    I am able to ping the printer with no problems.
    is the driver setup made in the Printer Setup Utility?
    if so, how would I go about changing it and to what shall I change the driver to?

  • Running Sums???

    Say I've got a simple table:
    Table
    : Fields: Key, Section
    given the statement:
    select Section, Count(Key)
    from Table
    group by Section;
    you will get the count of keys per section.
    But what if I not Only want the Count of Keys per section, but also a sum of two sections at a time.
    Like:
    select Section, Count(Key), Sum(Section 1 & 2)
    from table
    group by section;
    now i know that is not accurate, but i think my idea is clear enough. In ACCESS ( i hate to mention the evil-one) it was called a cross-tab query, when you could do multiple aggregates and running summations, but i don't know how to do that in oracle sql (or even if it can be done)
    the output for this query (as i see it) should be
    section 1 Count
    Section 2 Count
    Section 1+2 Count
    Section 3 Count
    Section 1+2+3 Count
    section 4 count
    section 1+2+3+4 Count
    etcetera
    (i'll understand if it can't be done, but I would think it could be)

  • Time skew - continued

    Sorry about previous multiple/incomplete posts - I hit the TAB key while cutting & pasting!  (I wish you could remove a post!)
    (Here's the rest of the post...)
    Env: PCI-6229 card, and NIDAQmx 8.0, under ANSI-C.
    ...   continued:
    The problem I am noticing is that I always see the change of state rise (from 0 to +5V) on the AIN channel exactly one sample time before I see the counter value increment.  I think I have the card setup correctly, so that the CTR tasks get their gate signal from the AIN task's sample clock.
    Any clues on this?
    Here's how the card is setup (abbreviated):
        // for AIN sections...
        DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming(h,NIL,samplerate,DAQmx_Val_Rising,DAQmx_Val_ContSamps,Ni_MaxSamples);   // sample rate is 1000 samples/sec
        DAQmxCfgDigEdgeStartTrig(h,@src[1],DAQmx_Val_Rising);          // get start trigger from RTSI-1 (for slave AIN cards)
        DAQmxSetExported10MHzRefClkOutputTerm(h,@s[1]);                  // export 10Mhz ref clock to RTSI-7
        DAQmxDisableStartTrig(h)                                                                 // disable start trigger on AIN task
        DAQmxExportSignal(h,DAQmx_Val_SampleClock,@s[1]);              // export AIN sample clock to RTSI-1
       // for the counter section...
       DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming(h,@src[1],samplerate,DAQmx_Val_Rising,DAQmx_Val_ContSamps,max_scans); // obtain sample clock timing (and gate from) from RTSI-1
       DAQmxSetCIDupCountPrevent(h,@src[1],1);                                         // prevent dup counts on M-series card when incoming freq is < gate freq
       DAQmxStartTask(h);                                                                         // start ctr tasks
       // finally, start AIN taks
       DAQmxStartTask(h_AIN.h)                                                               // start AIN tasks
    The use of RTSI-1 and RTSI-7 is mainly for situations where I have multiple cards in the PC.  For this simple test, however, there is only one card.  The basic idea is that I output my sample clock from the master AIN task to RTSI-1, and then use RTSI-1 as the gate for the counters.
    Thanks for any help, and sorry about the multiple posts earlier!

  • Reading encoders with PCI 6602

    Hi,
    I'd like some help to understand correct general purpose counter (GPCTR)
    calling sequence.
    Once configured with a GPCTR_Control (..ND_PROGRAM)call, it is not clear
    what should be done, if at a later stage one would like to set (write) a
    specific value to the counter. I suppose the counter should be un-armed (with
    a GPCTR_Control (..ND_RESET)call). In this case is the previous configuration
    lost (things defined with the Set_Application and Change_parameter calls)
    If negative, what is the shortest sequence call to set a new value to a counter
    already armed ?
    Please mail the answer to
    [email protected]
    Thank you

     Hi Sweety,
    What type of measurement do you want to make with the servo motor (edge count, frequency, pulse width, etc.)?  What wires are output from the servo motor?  Depending on the answers to these questions it will give more information into whether you need to use the gate terminal or just the source.
    I would recommend to review the User manual for the PCI-6602 (referenced below) because it has information on the pinouts (pg 31) and different application considerations.  Also, the M series user manual discusses some of the different measurements (in the counter section) and how to make the proper connections.

  • How to find Maximum Record Count in a particular section

    Hi ALL
    My report has  3 detail sections. I am showing different set of data in each section.
    Example:
    Details a
    Details b
    Details c
    In the Details c section  I have 5 columns.
    I want to find out MAXIMUM RECORD COUNT in  only Details c.
    Actually I have done a running total on column1 field which gives me the records number in that section only. But I am not able to find the MAXIMUM record count.
    Rtotal   Colum1   Column 2 Column3
    1          Data1     Data2      Data3
    2          Data1     Data2      Data3
    3          Data1     Data2      Data3
    4          Data1     Data2      Data3
    Now I need the Maximum record count=4
    Thanks.

    If I have understood correctly you want to count the amount of records in each section.
    In this case, go to "Insert > Summary", choose your ID field, and choose "Count" in "Calculate this summary:". You can put the summary in your group footer.
    If you want the maximum (the highest number value in that column), you can choose "Maximum" instead of "Count".

  • IB Section Index Row Count option

    I was wondering what the option "Section Index Row Count" in Interface Builder does?
    There's no option to tell IB how many sections there are in a UITableViewController and I thought that was the purpose of the methods numberOfSectionsInTableView and numberOfRowsInSection.
    I'm new to iPhone programming but it seems to ignore whatever you set in IB and uses the methods defined in UITableViewController

    I haven't read your code, but can make a guess at what's going wrong. Checkboxes do behave in a weird manner depending upon whether you have selected one or many.
    Assuming this is the statement where you are generating the checkbox :
    <input type="checkbox" name="checkBoxName" value="<%= someValue %>">
    What you could do is read the checked checkBoxes in an array :
    String[] values = request.getParameterValues("checkBoxName");
    int sizeOfValues = values.length;
    Then use the sizeOfValues to perform your delete action :
    if (sizeOfValues==1)
         performDelete();
    else
         for (int i=0; i<sizeOfValues(); i++)
              performDelete();
    Hope this technique works.

  • How to count records in a page which are in detail section

    Hi
    Is there a option to count records in detail section and so that based on that can apply a formula.

    Hi
    can i place the below two formulas in section experpt ?
    my report is like
    gh#1
    details-----which contains transactions related to above group for a country
    group footer#1contains line '--
    if for india there are 3 records in the same page there can be 2 or 3 records in detail section. like that a page can contain more than one country. if number of records are more and coming in next page then the whole section should be moved to new page.
    that is my req. can u suggest accordingly.....
    i want to count the number of records in detais which will vary also how can i put formula when they are going to next page?

  • How can Sections be limited to a specific page count?

    For letterhead and possibly other purposes, I'd like to design a multipage multi sectioned template with built in page count limits in various sections. How can this be done in Pages 5.
    Appreciated.

    A table from sheet 2 may perfectly grab datas from a table of sheet 1 and vice versa.
    In the table of sheet 1
    cell B2 contains "Yvan KOENIG" (without the quotes)
    cell B5 contains the formula
    =Sheet 2 :: Table 1 :: B2*Sheet 2 :: Table 1 :: C2
    In the table of sheet 2
    cell B2 contains 125
    cell C2 contains 4
    cell D8 contains the formula:
    =Sheet 1 :: Table 1 :: B2
    You may look at the PDF User Guide, at least page 89 in the English version.
