Count words, but not in master pages...
With this:

... I count the words of all open documents.
But how I can exclude the master pages?

Well, I think I got what I wanted:

Sidehead: want on L/R master pages but not other master pages
Hello!
I've been fighting this all evening and can't seem to get it to work. I would like to have room for a sidehead on my L/R pages in my facing page document but I would like my master page "First Page of Chapter" to not have a sidehead: I would like the text on that one page to span the entire width of the text frame.
When I try to set this up, however, the first page of chapter has the sidehead, even though it its text frame doesn't appear to have a sidehead when I view its master page.
What's odd is that the master page sidehead area isn't even the same size as the sidehead that's appearing on the L/R pages, it's much wider.
Can someone tell me the process for not allowing room for a sidehead on the first page of the chapter (with the "First Page of Chapter" master page) but having sideheads on the subsequent pages that belong to the L/R master pages?

To add a maybe unnecessary level of detail, the side-head area is a flow level property. Separate text flows within a document may have separate settings, but normally you would not want to have separate text flows.
Apart from using special paragraph formats, as Arnis mentioned, you could also make the text frame on your title master page wider and move it to the left side possible a little bit off the page, so the main column is positioned as you wnat/like/need it.

I am trying to print all the PDF pages in a range of 5 pages but can only print one page at a time . . . It will print the current page only, but not all or pages 1-5. I need to go to the next subsequent page and command to print current page; continuing with this procedure until all pages are printed one at a time. Can this be overcome?
You can use printPages(1, 5), however I need to know how you print current page.

I want to add a Facebook widget, it shows in the coding but not on the page in live view?
I'm a learning dreamweaver user. So I wanted to add a Facebook like button and followed a tutorial on widgets. However, when I insert the widget it shows up in coding in split view but not my actual page. I've tried uploading it and it still wouldn't work??? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Link to PowerPoint Specific Slide Works in MS Word but Not Outlook
I'm running into problems with providing a link to a SharePoint 2010 site via a Outlook email message for people to open a specific slide in a multiple slide PowerPoint .ppsx document. When clicking on the link in MS Word, it works correctly
going to the specific slide (slide #18). The generic hyperlink path is below:
http://share/programs/Public/Overview.ppsx#18
When putting a link in Outlook with the same path, an error messages occurs and the PowerPoint does not load with following message in the PowerPoint error box.
"PowerPoint can't read http://share/programs/Public/Overview.ppsx#18
If the #18 is removed, the PowerPoint then loads correctly via Hyperlink in Outlook but goes to the first slide.
I don't understand why it works from MS Word with #18 but not in Outlook.
Any solutions or ideas?

PatHi, looks like the "#slide number" not working in Outlook. I can reproduce the problem in my environment. I tested it with a local location and it works in Word but not Outlook. Maybe it's by design.

Editable text box on each page, but generated from Master Page?
I want to create a blank text box that lives on the Master Page so that it shows up on each page in the document, but I then would enter custom text into the field on each page ( or just leave it blank).
I know, I know, I can do simply copy a text box from one page, and paste in place on all subsequent pages... or set it up once on a page, then just keep duplicating that page... or some other work around. But simple as those work arounds are, I'd just like a blank text box show up automatically on each page as a master page item, then I can enter text as a see fit and not have to do any duplicating tricks. I've looked up a few tutorials, but none solve for my need.
So I guess the real question is, does InDesign allow the content of a master page text field to be individually edited on the pages of the document itself?It's bet to NEVER use the override master page items command since it overrides ALL master items. That's like using a wrecking ball as a flyswatter. And you don't need to put random text in the frame either (especially since you said you don't want to use it on some pages, though it might be best for those if you create another master without the frame). To override any master object hold Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) + Shift and click on it with the selection tool.

I would like to be able to sort Comments not only by page, but also in the order they fall within a page. For example, starting at the top of the page and working my way down so I am not jumping all over the page. Is there such an option?

RH 10: not use Master Page in Printed Docs
I have a Master Page set up with a company logo and horizontal rules, which works great with the help topics. The problem occurs when I generate printed docs from the source files.
Everything else works well enough to get by (I have some tweaking to do), BUT every single topic shows up with the rules and the company logo. I don't see anywhere to NOT apply the Master Page to the printed output. Is there a secret to not using the online help layout in the printed docs?

AliaMaster page headers and footers 100% guaranteed do not survive the trip to printed documentation. My guess is that in the master page your "headers" and "footers" have been created in the body section of the master page.
Create a new topic attaching that master page in the process. Then unlink the master page from that topic. Do you still see the header and footer? If you do, my theory is proved. If you do not, post back.

Can connect to airport but not load internet page
I can connect my PS3 and window based laptop to my airport network, as both show successful connection, but I can not load internet page on either the PS3 or the laptop. My airport network is not protected. My airport base station is about 7 years old.
Well the symptoms now point to a number of issues that need to be eliminated and they are you need to check that you are logged onto the ISP. For always ON systems this is usually a function of the Router in which case you need to log onto the Router and check the appropriate settings for this function also release the lease on the IP address and reboot the Router. The other issue is that the Router may not have access to the ISP which may cabling problem [disconnected or accidently damaged cable] within your environment of a service problem within the ISP domain. Check with a neighbour who is subscribed to the same Exchange as you are to see if they have problems otherwise call your Service Provider they may have to perform a reset on their end of your connectivity.
