Cover sheets not printing

Greetings.
Forgive me if this has already been covered.
I have numerous OS X print queues setup, and they are all printing beautifully, however, none of them are printing the assigned cover sheets.
What's weird is, I noticed when the print server used to communicate with the printer itself via AppleTalk, the cover sheets printed. However, now that the protocol being used between the server and printers is IP printing, the cover sheets seem to have stopped.
The print queues are currently being advertised using both IPP, and LPR protocols.

  • HP Web Services enabled, but info sheet not printing

    Hi all
    Just installed my new LaserJet Pro MFP M128fw and networked it with a static IP to suit my network.
    Printer is accessible to ALL computers on the network.
    Can print, scan, copy and fax without ANY problem from any computer. Can ALSO print from my networked mobile phones.
    ALL computers, mobiles and my new HP printer are configured with static IPs. ALL have DNS of 8.8.8.8 and default gateways installed.
    NO problem accessing the net from any one of the computers or mobiles.
    The printer is  web service enabled and I am able to access the printer's web page from my computer wirelessly AT WILL.
    I can enable web services (successful enabling from both computer OR Printer) WITHOUT any problems. Able to view the email address sent by HP's ePrint service BOTH on the computer AND on the printer.
    Problem:
    Then comes the problem - I am unable to print the Information Sheet which contains the code to register my printer on the HP ePrint Website. Have tried entering the printer email ID (characters before the @) at the printer registration prompt, but the website says that it is invalid, because apparently, the Information Sheet print out on MY printer is required, to complete the registration of my printer for the HP ePrint services.
    Have tried removing web services from the printer and restarting and re-enabling. Have tried shutting down my router and restarting. Have tried at various times over the past 48 hours just in case it was an HP website overload. When I try to print the information sheet directly from my printer, it goes into perpetual "Connecting..." until it just goes off. NOTHING WORKS!!! NO ERROR MESSAGES!!! JUST NOT PRINTING THE INFORMATION SHEET.
    Am now beginning to feel that perhaps the EPrint service is not available for India, but can't seem to locate that information on the HP website. If so, would DEFINITELY look at it as a lacuna / default in terms of clarity and consumer service, as this was one of the principal reasons for my purchase of THIS particular model. Believe me, it wasn't cheap.

    Thank you for the updates.
    I can definitely understand your reluctance to change how your network is setup. If you are like me you’d get started doing it and someone would interrupt enough that you don’t remember where you were when you were interrupted and something simple but important gets missed.
    I have included a link by @VisionAiry titled Check the Anti-Virus for Blocked Ports and Timed Scans and it is regarding the ports that are used. I’m wondering if one of the ports might not be configured correctly for ePrint.

  • F4280 ejecting blank sheets, not prints

    System 1
    Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit
    Printing from MS office 2007 Home and Student : Excel
    System 2
    Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit
    Printing from MS office 2003 : Excel
    I have tested this worksheet and it prints from all our other workstations to various different printers. But on Two workstations the only variable is that they are printing to HP F4280 printers.  On these workstations, the test print prints perfectly. Printing from other applications is not an issue. Printing some worksheets is OK.  But on a few of the different work sheets, they print preview just fine, but just spit out sheets of paper, the print heads don't even move.
    We cannot seem to find a solution from all our testing.
    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer divers with no change in the results.  The only thing that we can figure (by process of elimination) is that the problem is specific to the printer model.
    Any ideas?

    I had the same problem and I solved it! There is probably defined maximal resolution in the XLS file. To print the document (sheet) it is necessary to set the Normal quality of printing, not maximal quality (File > Print > Properties > Normal). It seem that the printer HP Deskjet F4280 is not able to print in the maximal defined resolution (usually 1200 dpi).
    It worked for me!

  • Cover Sheet NOT Available Suddenly?

    I've never faxed before using Tiger and I decided to give a try today...
    I chose Fax PDF from the 'PDF' menu the first time and I got all sorts of options that I typically get when I print something... I chose to preview it and then hit cancel...
    Since that first time, I've not been able to get those options again... instead of a Cover Page pull down with a number of items in it, I've just got a 'Item 1' menu...
    What's going on here?

    Problem:
    Heading included in Main body printing only on first page even though, PROPERTY, ‘PRINT_OBJECTS_ON’ for all objects are set to:
    ‘ALL PAGES.
    Solution: Select the parent frame of the objects that are printing on all pages and drag it down to include the frame that encloses the Heading information that is currently not printing.

    Issues like this are going to be related to the network. Intermittant problems are typically due to network interference, have you checked istumbler.net to get a report of your network?

  • Contact sheets-meta data not printing

    On contact sheets the meta data I choose to print (Apsect Ratio, Master Pixel Size, etc etc) only prints the begining of each line, and ends with an"..." For example I get "File Size 9..." or "Pixel Size 2048 x 225..."
    This happens despite the amount of rows, columns and print size of the images.
    I need to see the full data on my proof prints and contact sheets.
    Any ideas why it's not printing complete meta content?

    I'm running a test wtih Arial. Pretty simple right? In the OS print preview I can see the full meta data, but when printed it's still cutting off Meta Data...Here's a sample of what I'm getting. I can't figure out Aperture's preference with what it will print and what it will ....

    Subject:   I ran out off black ink 564. Cartridge         PS: I purchased this ink cartridge at Staples .
    Purchased new 564  XL cartridge for my HP 6510 printer. that is approx 1 year old
    Insatalled  new 564 XL ink Cartridge.
    Problem : does not print black ink.
    Error: Used or counterfit carteidges original hp ink depleted.
    Attention!
    HP'S cartridge warranty does not cover NON-HP INK or carteidges.
    HP warranty does not cover repairs or service required after using NON-HP INK.
    HP does not guarante the quality or reliability of NON-HP INK.
    I ran a test sheet, a quqlity report, status report & also cleaned the printable heads through the printers maintenace program, but still does not print black . PS: I removed the cartridge from the printer & shook the cartrige vigurosly & looked up at my whute walls that got splashed with black ink,so i know there is ink ink in the cartridge.
    I  think i have a bad carteidge ,there is a small gold tab at the end of the cartridge if soemthing is wrong at this gold strip will it not report to the software,just saying dont know ??????????   Thank you for any reliable feed back that i may get.

    I'm sorry to hear of your troubles with your Photosmart 6510 printer, but I will certainly do my best to lend a helping hand
    I will suggest that you try the steps in this 'Incompatible Ink Cartridge' or 'Indicated Ink Cartridge Must Be Replaced' Message Displays on the C...l document to see if you can get the printer to recognize the cartridge.
    Is it a genuine HP cartridge?

  • Fax Cover Sheet from SAP / Rightfax

    Hi,
    My requirement is to generate a cover sheet whenever a PO/SO/any document is faxed. We have Rightfax through SMTP/SAP Connect configured. Rightfax does provide a generic cover sheet option but it can only contain the fax numbers and recipient name. It suggests to use SAP Cover sheet. Have few questions, and here they goes:
    1. How can I enable SAP Coversheet? Even after checking the option for cover page I am not able to get any cover page and may have been disabled. I've also checked SAP note 553113 but wanted to check if there's any other way as well.
    2. After I have enabled cover sheet and lets assume the Standard cover sheet is copied in a ZForm, how can I ensure that always the zform cover sheet will processed? I am not able to find any configuration setting for it. I've research to find that SAP uses SO41 OFFICE-TELEFAX coversheet. This observation can be seen when I goto SO02 -> New Message -> Goto -> Fax , a pop up window appears which asks for Fax details. On Top Right, one can check the cover page option but the Coverpage is always specified as 'STANDARD'.
    3. Researched a lot. SDN & Google but not able to come to a conclusion for any specific solution. Appreciate if anyone has worked on this requirement, please share their ideas. There's no much help available as well (seen as much available links in SDN and Google). Basically, the requirement is just to generate a generic fax cover sheet from SAP.

    Actually thought of that solution but wanted to check if there's any generic way. Please let me know further on 'You need change configuration for fax - output type.'. Are you referring to NACE output type configuration?
    Let me add more:
    1. If we set the Parameter 'BCS_NO_FAX_COVER' to 'X' in TMV/SM30 'SXPARAMS', this way, the Fax cover sheet from SAP can be enabled of disabled. This cover sheet uses the Form OFFICE_TELEFAX_M in SE71 (SO43). What worries me, even if I copy the standard to custom, how to make sure that custom form is printed as there is no place where i am able to find any configuration. SAP note 553113 says to edit this form in SE71, that's it.
    2. The other solution is right fax generic cover sheet. Which is generated right now, but with limited info. The Right Fax documentation recommends to use SAP Cover Sheet as the Right Fax cover sheet does not provide much details except Senders Fax No, Recipients Fax Number and Name. This cannot be of much help.
    3. Use a custom form. A custom form which will contain cover sheet data, independent of SAPConnect. This form has to be generated at runtime. This is one of the approaches thought but here's the list of issues with it:
    a. The print program has to be modified as well. Issue when using standard print program. At same time, i think in FP_JOBOPEN one has to specify the cover page as well. Looks good for custom print programs.
    b. Our requirement also looks for mass fax. For eg: lets say, i have to fax, around 10 PO's, there should only be one cover sheet for all the 10 fax documents. This solution may not help here.

  • OS Cover sheet   in output control

    Hi all:
    Here in spool request, there is output control info about spool request <NN> in <xx> system (which is being generated by SAP Script).
    There is OS Cover sheet in Output Attributes tab.  I  would like to change the value by ABAP report / program ,  is there any FM for it or another programing way to send the request for not printing . Plz remember, we are using the SAP Script.

    That is a problem. It is same as yours in my system. Better Search for OSS notes. They might have solution for this
    Before that, make sure you have specified a right printer (working)

  • Cover sheet doesn't send

    I have just tried faxing under Tiger for the first time. I sent a sample fax to my own fax machine, but the cover page didn't come through.
    Here is what I did:
    1) Selected a Word document to fax
    2) File>Print
    3) Fax PDF
    4) Filled in the "to" field
    5) Select the check box for "use cover page"
    6) Filled in "subject"
    7) Filled in "message"
    8) Click on Fax button
    I received only the content pages and not a cover sheet. I went back through the same process again and opened the document in preview this time. No cover sheet showed up in preview and I didn't receive on on my fax machine after hitting the fax button, only the content pages as before.
    Am I missing something here? Is there something that I have to do to set up a cover sheet prior to faxing? I can't seem to find anything in the Mac Help files on this either.

  • All I Want Is A Fax Cover Sheet

    I have an HP ENVY7640 e_All-In-One and I cannot figure out how to select a SPECIFIC form from the Printables appFrom the display ON the printer I find the one I want ( fax cover sheet ) I select it and hit PRINT........Nothing happens!! If I try to use the app, It only gives me the option to select "last" which apparently is a blank weekly calander. The app doesnt allow me to select a specific sheet. SO,.... what good does scheduling it do? By the way, I DID schedule to print , but, again , it just printed the calander. ( I now have 5 weekly calander pages )So far, I have no cover sheet and I have wasted alot of ink. I have also noticed that the "scheduled" print time does not allow me to set the DAY I want it to print, as I tried to do that as well.it shouldnt be this hard. On my previous hp printer I just went to the screen on the device... selected what I wanted , and hit print.....as it should be.WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?????  

    Hello , Thanks for posting in the HP Forums. I'd like to help you with the issues you are having with the printables on your HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One printer. I am assuming that you are printing from the Quickforms app? I know that the only scheduled option for that app is the calendar, and I'm pretty sure it also has the option to "quick print" a fax cover page. Let me know if I'm incorrect, so I can better assist. The fact that the fax cover page will not print, indicates there is either an issue with the printer's connection, an issue with the app itself, or an issue with the printer's firmware. Are you able to print from other apps immediately and without issue? I'd recommend doing a network reset to refresh the connection. Let's leave the router on and unplug the power cable (NOTE: Do not reset the router.), then do the same with the printer, and shut down the computer. After a full minute, plug the router back in, wait for it to fully power up, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light to become solid. Once both the router and printer are on, go ahead and turn the computer back on. Doing this will refresh the network connection. I'd also recommend making sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet. The printer has a power moderator built in, so if it is plugged into a wall outlet or power surge bar, it may not be getting consistent power. Power fluctuation can cause all manner of firmware "glitches" such as the one you are experiencing. If these steps don't immediately resolve the issue, I'd recommend contacting our HP Cloud Services phone support at 1-855-785-2777. I hope this helps!

  • Color LaserJet Pro MFP M176n installed but not printing

    Hello Everyone,
    I have problem with my printer Color LaserJet Pro MFP M176n.
    at thebegining i try to install it buteverytime i run the installer it give me HP Installer error, so i installed the Microsoft Net Framework 3.5 and run the install and it was working perfict, i install the driver on USB cable and after it show me successfull and print test page and finish, so i click print test page and in printer and fax the printer M176n Show 1 printing job and then 0 but no print came out i try again same, i remove the cable and plug it again the printer is responding perfictly but still not printing i check the scanner and its working fine but only the printing is not, so i try to install it through network and it was sccessfully installed with IP but when i print, still the same 1 printing Job but nothing came out of the printer when it came 0 printing job.
    Please help......
    - Windows is windows XP 32bit
    - Printer name   Color LaserJet Pro MFP M176n PCLms

    I did try to use Scan Doctor, the printer didnt print at the first check but when it ask forenternal print test page it printed then it ask me toif it print of not and i click yes it print in enternal print so it ask me to remove and reinstall so i did 2 to 3 times and still same will  not print but when run Scan doctor it will print on enternal print .....

    I understand you have done quite a lot to resolve your M176n and its connection to the ePrint service.&nbsp;
    I would like to help you with this issue.&nbsp;
    If the printer is not printing the web services info sheet, or allowing you to add it to HP Connected, I
    would set a manual DNS.&nbsp;
    I wont go into great detail about setting this up. From your post, I feel you know your way around the printer and your network. If I am mistaken, let me know. I will go into detail.&nbsp;
    The DNS to try is:
    Primary: 209.244.0.3
    Secondary: 209.244.0.4
    Set the DNS then try printing the web services info page again.

  • How to populate the Cover Sheet of a Distributed Form

    I am a newbie to LiveCycle forms and have created my first simple form to manage travel requests within my company.  This is then distributed to employees who fill out their multiple travel requests with associated expected costs and return the form to the administrator.  This is in turn collected by the administrator who either approves or dissaproves some of the items in the form of each employee.  My question is: How can I get to see the total approved costs for all employees in this dataset?  IS there a way of consolidating this into the cover sheet or how wold one do this.  All advice welcomed.

    Each form that the employees fill out represents a separate request. One request does not know of the existance of other requests. If you want to get a consolidated view of all requests you will need a means of tracking or storing all of the information in a common place. Usually this is done by writing each form instance to a database, then you can get your consolidated view by querying the DB for that information.

    Hi, my Photo eStation is not printing Red despite the fact that all
    cartridges are new or over 75%. They are all HP branded.
    red shows as yellow, blue is more turquoise?
    Any ideas, the colour quality is really poor.
    Printer is under 3 months old.
