Coversion of CET time to user time zone

Hi,
I need to convert the server time which is maintained in CET to user time zone and by default the CET timing should be converted to CST if no userid is specified.
Is there any fuction module which does the same?

  • System time display time in user time zone

    Hi,
If the system time zone is CET and user time zone is CST. But the system status always display the systime in CST.
Does any one know if this is an error behavior, or just controled by some configuration?

  • Indian Time Zone missing from UCM User Time Zone Field

    Hi,
I am using UCM version 11.1.1.3.0.
The Indian time zone option is missing from the User Time Zone Drop down in the weblogic section.
When I set User Time Zone value to (GMT+5:30)Colombo- Sri Lanka Time (LKT) which is same as Indian time zone, the time reflected in UCM is --> System time + 30 minutes
When I set User Time Zone value to (GMT+5:00)Karachi Pakistan Time- (PKT) which lags 30 minutes from the Indian time zone, the time reflected in UCM is --> System time - 30 minutes
How can I get the Indian time in User Time Zone Field (as it is present in other versions of UCM)?

    Hi ,
Download Patch 13503004: UCM 11.1.1.3.0 patch (20120103_1059) from MyOracleSupport portal and upgrade the server .
After that restart it to see if that the IST TZ will be shown .

  • System time zone and User time zone is differenct.

    Hello friends.
We use SRM 5.5 with classic scenario. (SP07)
Our system time zone is CET.
Now if we have a user different with a different time zone in the user master, for example, a UTC+9.
We can end with up with a received date in service BBPBWSP_SIMPLE that is before the created on date in the shopping cart.
A shopping cart is created at 2006.05.10 but the received date in Approval says 2006.05.09.
So approver can be confused the requested date.
Is this standard bugs or standard design?
How can we change the received date with user Time Zone?
    Thank you,
    Best Regards,
    SH.

    Hello,
As far as I know, if you do not populate the field "of the user" in SU01, system takes the pattern timezone, which is UTC, to display to the end user in web gui.
    I did the following test:
    - I created a RFX with a user who's timezone (in tx SU01) is set as:
    Sys. Time Zone     CET
    of the User        INDIA
    - CET time  was 20:01:55
    - GMT time was 18:01:55
    - India time was 23:31:55
Looking at this RFX in BBP_PD I see the following:
Same user (India timezone and CET as "Sys. Time Zone"):
    Created_At: 20:01:55
    Changed_at: 20:01:55
    DETAILS ->
    Created at: 18:01:55
    Changed at: 18:01:55
    RFX header (description): 23:31:55
So, if you want to populate the header document in WEB GUI with another time zone than UTC, you have to use the field "of the user", under Personal Time Zone. However, if you want to display the UTC time zone in header documents in web gui, you can leave this field empty.
    Kind regards

  • E-mail trigger delay - Time Zone (CET) ahead of System Time (UTC)

    Hi,
We have developed a Z program which triggers e-mail whenever the critical System / Interface user id gets locked in the SAP Netweaver System. However, the e-mail is generated by the program in the Time Zone which is in CET and sits in t-code SOST and is sent to our mailbox in System Time which is in UTC (GMT) which is currently 2 hours behind. Hence, there is a delay of 2 hours for generated e-mail alert to be sent to our mail box. Is there any process to avoid this delay?
In the test system manually we can reduce the wait time by 2 hours in t-code SOST and then the mail gets triggered immediately. But can this be achieved programmatically so that the time in which e-mail gets generated always displays the system time in t-code SOST. Or, is there is a configuration where the e-mail is sent to our mail box from t-code SOST in Time Zone (CET) itself and not wait till the displayed time reaches System Time (UTC).
Thank you very much for your earliest response.
    Regards,
    SANJEEV KUMAR

In t-code STZAC both System Time and Useru2019s Default Time Zone is same (CET).
However, when I see in the menu System->Status I find the System Time is displayed in UTC, while Time Zone is in CET.
In other clients where system time is displayed in CET, there is no problem. The e-mail spool from SOST which displays CET time is actually triggered in the System Time. In case the System Time is CET, mail is triggered immediately. In case System Time is UTC, it waits UTC time to reach the displayed CET time, which is currently of 2 hours gap.
Is it possible to change the system time of the problematic client to CET to solve this problem. Please let me know what configuration can be done for this.

  • Process order and user time zone

Our system server time zone is CET but we are using EST for user time zone and plant. When we create process orders, the creation date/time is using the server time zone CET.
I understand that in the database, the CET time is used but Is there a way to show the timestamp in the user time zone EST?
    Thanks,
    Ghislain

    Hi Lisa:
We usually let USers maintain their own time zone even though its different from System Time Zone.
When it comes to SAP systems, BASIS usually maintains this and it will most proabably the time in their zone.
And users have their own time zone.
It effects only for support Deelopers who migh tlook at failed jobs in SAP/BW and try to decode them. In this case, they will have to know the differences in TIme Zones, but its not a bog problem.

  • How to display system time zone if user time zone is not set?

    Hi,
My application implicitely chooses ALA as time zone if the user time zone is not set.
    How do I check this?

    Hi,
    Try using these FM's
    TZON_GET_USER_TIMEZONE
    GET_SYSTEM_TIMEZONE
    Z_LOCATION_TIMEZONE
You can set the timezone in sy-zonlo by using the 1st FM and setting sy-zonlo in your application.
I think system takes ALA default because its the 1st timezone in the table.(check FM BWDT_LIST_TIMEZONES)

  • USER TIME ZONE IN SU01

    Dear All,
I have requirement to releated to User Time Zone. My  X user want to posting date should be change according shift wise like (A, B, C). For Example : X user is woking in C Shift (11:  00 PM Date 19.04.2011 to 8 : 00 AM Date 20.04.2011) then posting date will be 20.04.2011 at 8:00 AM. At presently System change the posting date at 12:00.  I want to posting date will be change at 8:00 AM on particular User.

    Hi Aman,
This may not be possible, as time zone is same for all the users.
Even though you specify different time for different users in SU01 report, this doesnt reflect when posting happens.

  • Connection 8.6 user time zone search

    Hi,
I am helping a customer with their CUC upgrade.  For some reason (either something happened during the upgrade, or some interns accidentally set some users incorrectly) to the wrong timezone.
What I am looking for is a way to dump the subscriber database by the users time zone setting.  Foe example this morning I found a couple users in Chicago that were set to Australia/Eucla.  Given that there are about 7,000 subscribers on this system going thru manually and looking for anomolies isn't a very attractive option.
Anyone know how to get a list filtered by time zone so we know where to focus because we dont have any facilities in those locations?
    TIA,
    Chris

You should be able to export your users out using Bulk Administration Tool and filter it out based on Timezone.

  • Convert system time into User local time.

    Hi,
How to convert System time into User Local time.
    Are there any FMs available.
    Regards,
    Kiran

    hi,
There is just one simple funda behind the Date and time logic in SAP.
-> It is absolutely useless to store Date and time directly in DB. Why ?
Because 00:00 a.m in London could mean 05:30 in India !! So If I (in India) store a Date 1st Feb 2008 , 10:00 a.m .. This time for a person in London could be invalid.. because he is behind your time zone..
So the solution is to store the date/times in Timestamps format. Taking the above example.. 1st Feb 2008, 10:00 a.m (in India) will be stored as 20080201043000.
This time if seen in German Time zone will look as : 1st Feb 2008, 05:30 a.m.
    Simple right
-> In India we store date as DD.MM.YYYY while in other countries they store it as MM.DD.YYYY.
The separator could be . or - or / .
The date format is user dependent. I might prefer to store it as DD.MM.YYYY and you might want to store it as MM-DD-YYYY.
System does not bother what your format is. It always stores in YYYYMMDD (8 Char)
On screens if you want to display Date then it must always be shown in that users format who is seeing it. How to get this done ?
    DATA : lv_date(10) type c.
    write sy-datum into lv_date.
So in LV_DATE variable the date will be stores in the users format.
    Simple right
There are function modules that do the same. But normally we should avoid use of FM to make code simpler, short and easy... no complications at all ..
You can use system variables sy-datlo (Local Date for Current User) and sy-timlo ( Local Time of Current User ).
You can also use GET TIME statement.

  • Get actual time for specific time zone

    Dear experts,
is it possible to get the actual time for a given time zone? We need to know the time of a certain plant and we are searching for a standard function module which calculates the time based on the plants time zone.

You can use TIME ZONE statement for this.
    DATA: time_stamp_s TYPE string,
                time_stamp     TYPE timestamp,
                tzone              TYPE timezone,
               wf_date_conv TYPE sy-datum,
               wf_time_conv TYPE sy-uzeit.
    tzone = 'CET'.
    CONCATENATE sy-datlo   "Local Date
                              sy-timlo    "Local Time
                      INTO time_stamp_s.
    time_stamp = time_stamp_s.
CONVERT TIME STAMP time_stamp TIME ZONE tzone INTO DATE wf_date_conv TIME wf_time_conv.
Otherwise FM IB_CONVERT_INTO_TIMESTAMP/IB_CONVERT_FROM_TIMESTAMP can bne used for same.

    Hi,
While checking the logging report I found one user is appearing multiple times. Is this the normal behaviour of Hyperion of Is there any setting in Hyperion to display one user only once.
Also can we control the users the from loging into systme multiple time at a time.
    Thanks,

If multiple people know the username and password they can definitely be shared. This is a violation of your licensiing and is a major reason why most SOX departments require Active Directory linking. For testing purposes I have created native IDs to be shared among people so that I know they are identical.
