CR4E only support JDBC connections not support exterior datasource?

The current vision only support JDBC connections?when I organized the datasource or datalist in the application, if this datasource or datalist can connect the data connection? Thank you!jessica

JDBC Connections not being returned to pool

Greetings All.
I really need some help here to find out where my connections are being held.
I have a transactional connection pool that runs out of connections on average three times a day. I've read all the threads in the newsgroups for connection leaks and how to always release connections in the finally block.
1.
I can confirm that it's definitely not a connection leak, I confirmed this by using the jar for tracing connection leaks and none was displayed.
2.
I've looked at all our code and all code that uses jdbc connections destroys jdbc resources in the finally clause.
3.
I'm new to the department and therefore cannot tell you what new code was put in that caused this problem to occur.
4.
We're using WL 8.1.3 AND JDK 1.4.2_06
5.
I've tried JMX to view what the connections are doing when this problem occurs, and hence enabled statement cache which revealed nothing of interest to me. I just wish somehow I could get to trace which threads reserved the connections and do a stack trace on them.
The most frequent error in my jdbc logs is :

Generic JDBC connection not setting up.

Hey ..
I am trying to make a Generic JDBC connection in DB adapter. For the steps I am refering to this blog: https://blogs.oracle.com/middleware/entry/configuring_mssql_with_soa_suite
so I went as follows: step 3 of 4 of adapter configuration > create new connection > Driver class: new > Library: Browse
chose the driver source .jar, put the correct URL & tested the connection.
The Error that came said:
"Test failed: Driver class not found.
Verify the Driver location"
I tried same thing with sqljdbc.jar - the file used in the blog ... Same error was there.
What's the mistake? What should I try to do?

The problem got solved ..
Actually the path was correct but the driver class name was wrong ..
Perhaps it tries to find the driver class with the specific name in specified .jar
I thought we are CREATING new thing ..

Jdbc Connections not closed on OC4J 9.0.4 - BUG VERSION?

Hi, I migrate my applications from 9ias 9.0.3 to OAS 10g with OC4J 9.0.4.
After migration, the jdbc connections provide by Data Source Names don't be closed in Oracle Database 8.1.7, stay INACTIVE state, and in few time of access, the Oracle Database exceded limit of sessions.
The OC4J 9.0.4.1 resolve this problem ? Where i can download this release ?
Any body have any idea ?

JDBC Connections not closed

Hi,
we work on a Jdevelopper intranet application and an Oc4j application server.
recently, we have reached the maximum number of connections to an Oracle DB.
apparently, we have a lot of old connections that are not closed!!
is there any action to do on Oc4j configuration or Jdevelopper application to avoid this problem ??

Error retrieving JDBC connection from remote client (WLS 10.0)

I get an error when I try to retrieve a JDBC connection from a WLS datasource using a remote client. My Weblogic server version is: WebLogic Server 10.0 MP1 Thu Oct 18 20:17:44 EDT 2007 1005184
I use the following code to retrieve the JDBC connection:

Can please anyone tell me what's going on there? What really astonishes me is that the class mentioned in the stacktrace is neither present in the wlfullclient.jar nor in the weblogic.jar, but using the weblogic.jar everything works fine. Any hint would be appreciated so much ...

First of all, let me clarify what we did and why we did it: We have a stand-alone client application that needs to communicate with a Weblogic server using the t3 protocol (we don't want IIOP or HTTP tunneling). According to the official BEA documentation (see http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs100/client/basics.html and http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs100/client/t3.html) we needed to create the wlfullclient.jar file. We did this using the Weblogic JAR Builder Tool (see http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs100/client/jarbuilder.html). Unfortunatley we discovered the problem mentioned in my original post when we tried to run the client with that wlfullclient.jar.
Regarding your classloading question: The InstrumentationSupportImpl class is located in the wlfullclient.jar, so it does exist in WLS 10.0 (it is also contained in the weblogic.jar). Unfortunately this JAR does not contain the required class "weblogic.diagnostics.instrumentation.InstrumentationDebug". I searched for this class and found it in the OSGI module "com.bea.core.diagnostics.instrumentor_1.0.1.0.jar" shipped with the Weblogic server. Obviously the JAR Builder Tool did not include the contents of this OSGI bundle into the wlfullclient.jar. I tried to include this OSGI bundle into the classpath of the client app manually (just for testing purposes), but this onyl resultet in another NoClassDefFoundError. This time the class "com.bea.objectweb.asm.Constants" could not be found.
What astonishes me is the fact that the connection retrieval works fine when we only have the weblogic.jar in the client applications classpath, but fails when we have the wlfullclient.jar in the classpaht. It seems that the t3 communication is handled completely different, depending on what JARs I have in the classpath. Also, JMS communication works fine in both cases (i.e. for the weblogic.jar and the wlfullclient.jar). The only thing that causes problems (at least as far as we have discovered) is getting a JDBC connection from a datasource. I simply fail to see why this is the case.

Cannot commit or rollback a JDBC Connection from CAF project

I'm working in CE 7.10. I have a CAF Project that gets a JDBC connection from a Custom Datasource to an external Database.
Here is the code:

I got the following exception on line "con.setAutoCommit(false);": --> "Cannot begin JDBC transaction from this connection of "MYDATABASE" DataSource. JTA transaction has already started."
and the following on line "con.commit() / con.rollback()" : --> "Cannot commit JDBC transaction from this connection of "MYDATABASE" DataSource. This resource participates in a JTA transaction."
If I run the same code from a webDynpro or a J2EE project it works ok, but not from a CAF Application Service. I tried to do it in a simple Class in the CAF Project and call this clas from the Application service, but I get the same error.
Any Ideas??

Read-only connections not supported

We trying to set the JDBC connection as "read-only" and we are getting the following SQLException when calling Connection.setReadOnly( true ):
setReadOnly: Read-only connections not supported
We are running Oracle 8i (8.1.7.4.0) with JDBC driver version 8.1.7.2.0.
Why this setting is not supported?

OpenSQLException: JDBC driver not supported?

I need to connect to a DataSource with the WebAS 7 via SQLJ. As I try to connect to it with the SQL Engine set to "Vendor SQL" I get:
"The given connection "com.sap.engine.services.dbpool.cci.ConnectionHandle" is not an Open SQL connection"
As I try to get a connection to the dataSource via SQLJ with SQL Engine set to "Open SQL" or "Native SQL", I get the following Exception:
ResourceException in method ConnectionFactoryImpl.getConnection(): com.sap.engine.services.dbpool.exceptions.BaseResourceException: SQLException thrown by the physical connection: com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException: JDBC driver not supported for MS_SQL_SERVER database.
How can I get the SQLJ- Support?

for using Native SQL/JDBC or Open SQL/JDBC, the database itself and the JDBC driver must be recognized as being in the supported set. The answer to that depends on what you mean in detail by "Web AS 7". Roughly speaking, it should be the JDBC driver released by Microsoft.
Open SQL/SQLJ is only available with a Open SQL/JDBC data source. Hence, there is no way around using Open SQL/JDBC.
Now, Open SQL/JDBC and Open SQL/SQLJ both requires tables (and other database objects) to be deployed via the Open SQL for Java Dictionary. Up to and including WebAS Java 7.1, the Open SQL/Dictionary supports deployment to the system database, i.e. the database (and schema) used by the installed server itself.
Given the above, the JDBC driver for a Open SQL/JDBC data source must already be present, because it must be the driver used by the server itself. When defining data sources, it is referred to as "system driver".
This leaves us with a Open SQL/JDBC data source to the system schema. You can then also consider to establish a data source alias to the server's system datasource.

Sending contents to windows authenticated service results in an error - "Content option is only supported when connecting anonymously."

Error results when trying to send JSON content to a service which is internally hosted and requires windows authentication.
Here is the sample code :

In our case, the users are internal and so is the service which accepts the content. Once the user is authenticated by the windows account, it reasonable to allow content.
Would it not be better anyway to have the restriction for anonymous access as opposed to this case where the account is already authenticated on an internal windows domain ?

for multi room audio purposes I connected two USB X-Fi Surround 5. to a laptop. Windows detects the two sound cards correctly and via Winamp I can have both of them play simultaniously different music, which is great.
However, I can't seem to be able to make a selection between the two sound cards in Creative's audio console. I can only select one card, and of course, the sound settings only apply to that one card. How can I access the other card for sound settings such as 3D and crystalizer ?
The sound card selection menu allows me to choose between :
- Windows Standard audio
- SB X-Fi surround 5.
- X-Fi surround 5. Line / Mic in
- X-Fi surround 5. What U hear
I tried reinstalling the sound drivers as suggested elsewhere, but that doesn't seem to help.

My theory so far is, that this caused by?two identical?products : both have exactly the same?device name in Windows. I can imagine that when certain software tries to retrieve a list of available Creative?hardware, it might get confused when two identical names occur in the list, perhaps skipping one of the "duplicates". Windows device name is?provided either by the drivers or the hardware itself.
Of course, this is just a theory. Windows itself and software like Winamp seem to be able to handle this perfectly.
If I would have the technical know-how, I would try to rename the device name in Windows registry. Alas, the name appears at many places, I don't know which exact place to change the name, in order to obtain different device names. And that's assuming Creative software uses this...

FireWire connections not supported - randomly pops up

Hey. This is my 3rd ipod and the first one to have this problem. I have the 80gig 5th gen bought a few months ago. The problem I keep getting is that the FireWire connections not supported. To transfer songs, connect the USB cable provided message keeps popping up. It does this randomly and sometimes takes several clicks. When I hook it up to my monster fm transmitter in my car the problem worsesns when sometimes no matter how many times I click it will not go away.
Things I've tried
Resetting it, many times
Formating
basically those 5rs, I don't know wat else to try. I havent tried reinstalling itunes only because I seriously doubt this will fix the problem since it doesn't only happen when I connect it to my comp.
Can anyone help? I've seen this problem posted a few times with no response.

The answer is simple-your iPod will not work with Firewire. It requires USB. I had a Firewire iPod(miss it dearly) and it will charge from the firewire cable but it will not connect to the computer or the dock.

I had recently upgraded from a 20G to a 60G video. I honestly dont know what generation my first one is, but it is white and does not have a color screen...Anyway, on the older one, I am able to use firewire to load music from Itunes. When I tried to plug in the new one, using the same library, it says 'firewire connections not supported. Use the USB cable provided'. I am hoping there is a setting that I can flip to change this.

No you can't - the current release of iPods only support synching through USB.
FW accessoire can be used for battery charging only.

I am currently using SharePoint 2013 and InfoPath 2013.
I want to create a drop down list in InfoPath that points to external data content (in this case a lookup table in SQL server).
The process works in the InfoPath "preview" mode, but when I go to publish it to my SharePoint website, I get the following error:
"Additional data connections not supported."
I've also tried deploying the data source to my InfoPath Connection library on the SharePoint website and pointing it to that, but to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
One further thing to note is that I am limited to a non-HTML5 web brower so I can't use Light Switch.

Based on my research, we cannot add data connections to External List forms. They are not supported just like the error says. It's a limitation of InfoPath and there is no workaround for this issue so far.

I got a new Apple TV for Christmas, I read tha the OS X Mountain Lion supported AirPlay with the Apple TV, so I paid for the OS upgrade. After the upgrade I found out that AirPlay is not supported on iMac's older than mid 2011. This ***** because this was the only reasion I needed the upgrade, It should have been more clearly posted that the features of the new OS were only supported on specific machines!

First, if you would have visted http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/ you would have seen there is a VERY LARGE and IN BOLD section that covers what functions of 10.8 are limited to what macs. Second "needed the upgrade"... spare me.
To your, "work around" question a lot of people report a third party app named "air parrot" as pretty reliable. You're welcome to try your luck with that.
