Cracked screen on ipod touch can't get in to it. did a back up with it and tried to put it on new ipod touch 5 and now it keeps talking and won't let me in or turn off. how can i restore to nothing
Cracked ipod touch screen and it won't let me in or turn off. Tried to back it up and put on new ipod touch 5 and now it's not working and doing the same thing. I tried to restore to orginal but it won't let me any suggestions?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I took a video on my iPhone and tried to email it it said it was too big to send? So i downloaded it to my macbook pro and tried to mail it to no avail? The macbook tells me the server won't let it through other mail goes through any ideas how to resize it or what it might take to send it?I agree with LowLister, the best option for you to share the video online is to upload it to your online storage account for example : Box, Dropbox, SkyDrive (All of them provide free storage beginning from 2GB).
You can upload the files which you want to share in this online storage and then they have sharing options in which you'll will get the link of the file to be sent and send the email. You're good to go!

So, before you get rid of your old device go to attach your device to itunes and go file-devices-backup. Additionally you can go to settings-icloud-storage and backup and select back up now. No way to recover it unless the other person didn't delete it on their end but the Perfect time to activate iCloud Drive and you won't ever need to worry. If you set it up correctly.

Not sure what you mean by "turns off". Are you saying that the light on the Express goes out after 15 minutes?
Assuming that it is functioning correctly, the AirPort Express is "always on". It has no type of "sleep" setting.
If the power light on the Express remains on, you have some other device on the network that is going into a standby mode or sleep mode. Check the Preference settings on other devices on the network. -

Can imessage be turned back on without remembering her apple ID? I thought I fixed it for her because even without knowing the password it turned back on but today it seemed to turn off again. Do I need to know the password or will it automatically turn off without remembering the password?
Yes so I'm aware of the difference between imessage and text....but imessage was turned back on last night for some time, then this morning it was turned back off. And if imessage requires a password, then if I switch it off on my iPhone, why doesn't it need a password to turn back on when on hers is requires it?

You should always have a back up of any important data on your computer,regardless of brand, OS, whatever. Windows, Mac, Linux all need back ups end of story.
Most Simple Back Up
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex:
Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically. Examples of such apps: Chronosync or DejaVu . But are many others. Search on MacUpdate -

There are two kinds of storage messages that appewr on iOS devices. Your question seems at odds with your description so there might be some confusion here.
If the storage refers to not enough for an icloud back up then you need to purchase more icloud space or turn off iCloud backup. You can backup using iTunes on your computer with paying for additional iCloud storage.
if the storage refers to that on your iOS device as in there is not enough storage to update, then you have two options and neither option involves adding more storage since the amount of storage on an iOS devoce is fixed. One option is to delete stuff from your device to free up more space. The second option is to complete the update while your devoce is connected to your computer running the latest version of iTunes. When you do that the update is downloaded to your computer and extracted there so it doesn't require as much free space on your iOS device.
