Crash: ID: 6db3244b-003c-437c-ae9b-ac4262130301 Signature: d3d11.dll@0xe6314 01-Mar-2013 23:53

I am running firefox on windows 7 64-bit
Firefox started crashing this morning after a windows update yesterday/last night 27-Feb-2013 (USA time). The updates installed:
* Platform Update for Windows 7 x64-Edition (KB2670838), Installation date: ‎27-‎Feb-‎2013 22:16
* Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2799494), Installation date: ‎14-‎Feb-‎2013 12:01
It is unlikely that the 14-Feb update was a problem as I was happily able to run Firefox until I rebooted.
After my trouble and many many crashed. I tried to install the v21 Aurora -- same failures. I went back to v19 again with a clean install. But some how both installs remembered add-ins.
I think deleted the folders and installed v18 -- Same persistent crash behaviour.
Finally for this bug report. I rebooted, checked everythign is not installed. Deleted the firefox folders. I then emptied the recycle bin. I rebooted and ran chkdisk to establish that it wasn't some disk problem,
After reboot I reinstalled the v18 download (this error report's version) with out the maintenance program.
* Firefox Setup 18.0b7.exe
There are no add-ins except programmatic ones:
* zonealarm
* bytecode optomiser
* feedback
See troubleshooting installation information below.
Safe mode appears to function, so my guess something else must happen. ZoneAlarm hasn't been updated recently. It worked last night (which incidentally was the 28-Feb here in Australia).
As a clean install, you can't get a clearer picture than that, that here is a problem that should NOT happen. Of if it 'does' happen -- It should not happen IN THIS WAY.
For example, safe mode or some intermediate debugging mode should allow me to select add-ins one by one to enable and to test that way which one is going kaput.
Secondly. I didn't have the internet on when I started FireFox. Deliberately because I know some add-in will get updated when Firefox begins and I didn't want that.
I didn't install the maintenance program for two reasons. One is it might update something before I'd had a chance to do tests -- As it turned out Firefox crashes immediately. So there were no other tests to undertake. The second reason is that the installer doesn't ask for a path folder to install the maintenance program. I think that's an oversight.
That's all ... my email is [email protected]
Please send a comment if you know what the problem is. I'm now two days behind so I won't be too much help as an experimental subject. Ask all the same I'm happy to install a patch or test a fix, or run a diagnostic script, etc. Just it may not come back immediately.
Cheers,
Will

Heya,
if you can get a Firefox window open, go to Tools > Options. Click the Advanced tab, select General, then uncheck ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' and click OK.

  • How to use Digital Signature and PKI in SharePoint Server 2013

    Dear Expert,
    My company will plan to use Digital Signature and PKI document in SharEPoint Server 2013.
    Can you guide me what's the concept and how to implement and develop?
    Please suggestion.
    BR,

    Hi BR,
    Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to use Digital Signature and PKI in SharePoint Server 2013.
    You can use digital signatures in forms ,then use these forms in you SharePoint site.
    In InfoPath form ,you can change the form to allow signature here: File>Info>Advanced form options >Digital Signatures .You can choose to sign the whole form or a field .
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/0ed54d57-d67d-41cd-bd1b-9e5a4be10d0c/use-of-digital-signature-in-sharepoint-2010?forum=sharepointcustomizationprevious
    Or you can use any tools such as the ADSS Connector for SharePoint which allows enterprise users to "click and sign" on a document in SharePoint.

    Hi ASR,
    Have you found C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.SQL01\MSSQL\Binn\msxmlsql.dll? I think msxmlsql.dll is in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Shared. Please check it. You could try to Copying msxmlsql.dll to the Binn folder to see
    if it would be OK.
    Or you could try to repair the SQL Server through SQL Server Installation Center.
    Thanks.

  • Ati d3d11.dll crash ie11

    Hi ... I am pretty darn tired of my IE11 crashes mltiple times daily. Especially while surfing through Facebook.The reason is allways found in d3d11.dll or atidxx.dll or atiumdva.dll it seems.I run Windows 8.1 Norwegian edition with all updates. My videocard is an XFX Radeon HD 6970 2GB GDDR5I have updated and reinstalled the video drivers, but in vain. There seems to be something wrong with the drivers from both ATI/AMD and Microsoft Update.It seems that if I change to englsih(usa) language pack in Windows things go smoother. Is there a solution somewhere? From Event Viewer:Programnavn med feil: IEXPLORE.EXE, versjon: 11.0.9600.17416, tidsangivelse: 0x5452eed9Modulnavn med feil: d3d11.dll, versjon: 6.3.9600.17415, tidsangivelse: 0x54503b6bUnntakskode: 0xc0000005Feilforskyvning: 0x0001a2f5Feil prosess-ID: 0x1eb8Feil starttid for program: 0x01d0a2173149b8a6Feil programbane: C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXEFeil modulbane: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\d3d11.dllRapport-ID: 0ddd00d1-0e1d-11e5-8393-00190e103a60Fullstendig navn på feilpakke:Relativ program-ID for feilpakke:  Programnavn med feil: IEXPLORE.EXE, versjon: 11.0.9600.17840, tidsangivelse: 0x555fe1bbModulnavn med feil: atidxx32.dll, versjon: 8.17.10.525, tidsangivelse: 0x53b754dbUnntakskode: 0xc0000005Feilforskyvning: 0x000742c7Feil prosess-ID: 0x3028Feil starttid for program: 0x01d0a534fb8ce1a2Feil programbane: C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXEFeil modulbane: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\atidxx32.dllRapport-ID: 41ebcc91-112a-11e5-839c-14dae9c4f70bFullstendig navn på feilpakke:Relativ program-ID for feilpakke:    Programnavn med feil: IEXPLORE.EXE, versjon: 11.0.9600.17416, tidsangivelse: 0x5452eed9Modulnavn med feil: atiumdva.dll, versjon: 8.14.10.481, tidsangivelse: 0x550a2c8dUnntakskode: 0xc0000005Feilforskyvning: 0x00031180Feil prosess-ID: 0x252cFeil starttid for program: 0x01d08e179b2cacd7Feil programbane: C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXEFeil modulbane: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\atiumdva.dllRapport-ID: 3001eeae-fa19-11e4-8379-14dae9c4f70bFullstendig navn på feilpakke:Relativ program-ID for feilpakke:

  • Crash signature: KERNELBASE.dll@0xb727 on new Toshiba Laptop; any fix?

    downloaded Firefox to my new Toshiba Laptop and haven't been able to use it. Everytime I try to open it, it crashes. I traced the Crash Signature via instructions: KERNELBASE.dll@0xb727 but there is no support information available. Any help on this? I prefer Firefox over Explorer and would like to use it on the laptop.

    So you are saying that the recovery discs I made do include the copy of windows that was originally installed?
    Absolutely! They will restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents. Follow the instructions in the section Restoring from recovery DVDs/media, which begins on p. 73 of the User's Guide.

    maybe i can make a deal with wd to have them swap this drive out for the BEKT instead...
    That would be a good idea in any case.
    As I said, the 10-fc12-045d error would not be due to the drive's being AFT, but more likely the discs are not being read properly. New discs can be obtained from Toshiba. Scroll down to Get Recovery Media here

  • When I have firefox open, it crashes at the same time as my display driver crashes (Crash signature: kernelbase.dll@0xb9bc)

    The screen turns black (audio remains normal if I'm playing music) and then flickers back on. I get a message that says "Nvidia display driver stopped responding and has recovered successfully." This happened before and Firefox wouldn't always crash, but the last few days it happens several times a day and Firefox always crashes at the same time as the display driver.

    No, they aren't working on the same files. All 3 employees are working on different files.
    They are all on Dell Optiplex GX745 with 4 Gb of RAM.
    The crashes are at different times, not all 3 crashing at the same time. Therefore, I don't believe network is the cause of the issues. Also, it didn't crash on CS5, but now it does on CS6.
    What I'm looking for are possible settings within Illustrator CS6 that I can tweak to make it a more stable program.
    Thanks

  • Please help, I cannot open Firefox at all! crash ID: cf9fa02c-586d-4033-999b-a7a242110501 and Signature: mcffplg.dll@0x1cb20

    It happened a few weeks a go, I have re-installed the Firefox but still didn't work. I can only open Internet Explorer. I cannot open Firefox and Google Chrome at all!. I am using windows 7.
    Please help, I want my Firefox back...

    The crash is reporting a problem with the McAfee Site Advisor (mcffplg.dll), try uninstalling the McAfee Site Advisor and see if you can then start Firefox.

  • Acrobat X Crashes when I attempt to place digital signature

    Program starts up fine. I can effect most edits needed. I am an Engineer and produce a lot of PDF documents for new construction. When I attempt to add digital signature ... I get the blue screen of death. Not sure what to do? Program was working fine a week ago. Any suggestions most appreciated.

    Another improperly upgraded OS by the sound of it. The MPEG-2 module from the older version of QT is probably still there and still appearing in the application. Why it works on one and not on the other I don't know. It shouldn't appear in either.
    Compressor should come with DVDSP, unless you have a really old version. You can only get Compressor by upgrading to Final Cut Studio. You could get Bit Vice instead. Does your version of DVDSP not do MPEG-2 encoding? For quite some time DVDSP has had that capability built into it.
    iDVD menus can be customized to some extent. All the images can be replaced. Some of the elaborate ones have built-in motion menus, but if you're really ambitious and know what you're doing you can hack the application package to the resources folder and change even those.

  • Firefox crashes when trying to add email attachment: Crash Signature: MSONSEXT.DLL@0x4f8b5.

    Every time I try to add an email attachment in GMX.net for the first time after opening forefox, I click the "search" bar to add a file from my computer and firefox crashes. Sometimes it works after restarting firefox after a crash, but it happens way too often and every time I have to fear that my whole email is gone because of it.

    It works OK now. Earlier today I received an email with an attached slide show. I downloaded the slide show, watched it, and closed the email. Afterwards I tried to create an email with an attached photo and it worked!
    I used to do Fortran programming on a 7090, but it seems that the home computers containing all sorts of software from who knows where and with who knows what faults, do not always work as they are supposed to. Whatever happened to logical certainty?
    Thanks anyway for your help. Jim

    This problem happens often and only with the Big Fish Game site. Sometimes it happens with the initial opening of the home page at other times it is when I am trying to navigate around the site. It is the only website that this happens.

  • Adobe Reader 9.4,10,11 crash when opening certain pdfs. Faulting module ntdll.dll

    We've started having issues with a certain type of pdf file crashing reader anytime it's opened. It will open fine about 1/10 of the time, the rest of the time it either straight crashes or we get a message that a drawing error occured and the pdf isn't rendered properly. I've tested with Reader 9.4, 10.1.2, 10.1.4, and the latest 11 release. I've tested under WinXP x86 and Win7 x64 with the same results. It does apparently open fine under Windows Server 2008 R2 but the issue is occuring on our desktops and opening from the server was only a test.
    I'm unable to share the pdf for others to research since it contains Protected Health Information. The pdf however does have a header with the patient info and then a graph similar to a EKG strip, the header always renders fine but when we get the error that a drawing error occured it's the graph thats corrupt. Sumatra/Foxit/Evince can open the document just fine. I've tried disabling every feature and plugin in Adobe Reader with no luck. I've tried to run the pdf through some tests and I did find there are 2 errors, both are "[error] Object shall end with 'endobj' statement" but I'm unable to find anything that can autocorrect the issue.
    We have thousands of those pdf's, they were ran through a Print 2 PDF converter (Win2PDF 7.0.46 - 2.6.7.1465.3 http://www.win2pdf.com) using pdf version 1.4. Anyone have any ideas on what else to try? I'm at a loss and I'd rather not have to install an alternate PDF reader on 6k workstations (although with all the headaches Adobe Reader has caused me that would be a welcome change).
    Jason

    I've tried Acrobat and it won't open the file either, same app crash in ntdll.dll. But I know what you're saying but I don't have the source documents to run through conversion with another application.
    I'm not sure how the process was performed but we had a vendor come in and convert all of our old clinical EMR data into PDF's and then index into OnBase. We are working with the vendor for a solution but so far they haven't found nothing. I recommended to them to update their Win2PDF program but I don't think thats an option on the thousand, if not millions of documents already converted.
    Why is every other PDF reader able to open the file except Adobe Reader?
