Create a customer in several business units

Hi SD experts,
Is there any option in SAP to create a customer in several business units, simultaneously, without being obliged to do it manually ?

As in Standard SAP terminolgy, I've not heard Business Unit.

    yes, in om structure it will be seen as top most OM object business unit (top most)  region --> o.u. --> position --> person. Can I use 012 relationship of position assigned to top most business unit and keep 012 position relationship to OU.?
    Narrowing down. Currently, chief position relationship is assigned to top OU that is tied to region 1:1 relationship. Now with the new top most custom object business unit has many regions. So need to identify top most region tied to business unit via 012 position.

  • Unable to Create Contract Templates In Other Business Units In Fusion Contract Management

    Hi All.
    I am working on Fusion PPM Release 9.
    I Have set Profile Options HZ_DEFAULT_BU_CRM to SH-Business Unit & HZ_ENABLE_MULTIPLE_BU_CRM to Yes in task Manage Administrator Profile Values.
    But LOV is showing only SH-Business Unit. I am not able to get other Business Units In LOV & Not able to create contract Template.
    Any help regarding above issue is Appreciable

    Hi Vara,
    Check the basic settings for Student Contract accounting. Are you using "Create RFC Destination for Automatic Creation and Update" functionality? Please check that whether you have maintained any RFC or not. If yes, then remove that.
    The automatic creation function causes the system to automatically create a student account with the account-specific master data when it creates student master data. Check this in SAP_CM_ACCOUNT_DATA_UPDATE.
    The automatic update function causes the system to automatically update the relevant account data when it updates account-specific student master data.
    You can activate and deactivate the automatic creation and change function. You make this setting in the IMG activity (De)Activate Automatic Student Account Creation and Update.

  • Business Partners didn't get created from Customer master

    T. Code: MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT. Select option Cmr to BP, then in processing, give in customer number (or customer group), select "include values" then give individual number or range of such customers which didn't replicated. Then execute (F8). It will put this process in queuing, so go to next tab "Monitor". Here you can see queue ready for processing, select it, go inside and process (you can also go to smq2). Come back, and see if there is error (red) signal in status column, which means errors. If so, select the line, and click on button "Call PPO". Here you can get the reason/error why replication failed.
    Manually, you can give try through t. code: FLBPD1 and give customer number as input.
    Check in table KNA1 and BUT000 for verifying if other customers after the tainted one got created as BP or not.

    No business partner could be created for customer 10000578
    Message no. CVIC_UI018
    Diagnosis
    No business partner could be created from the customer selected.
    System Response
    An error occurred when creating a business partner from the customer selected. This error prevents data from being transferred and saved. This could be due to the following:
    Fields have been left blank in the customer that are set as required entry fields for the business partner.
    Settings for assigning Customizing values for the customer to the business partner are incorrect.
    Procedure
    Start the Post Processing Office and check the error message. Make the necessary corrections.
    Error Message encountered while using the T. Code MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT:
    No transfer of interval for object BU_PARTNER
    Message no. NR028
    Diagnosis
    The last number of the internal interval should be assigned.
    Number assignment usually begins in the following call at the start of the interval. However this function is blocked for some number range objects for technical system reasons.
    Procedure
    If possible extend the interval of the affected number range object. If this is not possible you must reorganize the relevant data and reset the interval status manually.
    Please Suggest.

    Hello All,
    I checked the error with MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT. I found that the VAT Regn no. field was populated for Panama customer. In Panama & Canada, there is no VAT Regn No. I made the field blank in customer master & it created as BP w/o any further issue.

    If this is a Characterstic defined - definitely this will be getting populated from Billing document in SD Module. Secondly, there could be a derivation rule defined as per your configuration. Derivation rules can be checked in Transaction code - KEDR.

    First, let me confirm that you are on JDE World, and not JDE Enterprise One/One World. They are very different environments. JDE World is normally a green screen, IBM Client Access based system.
    If you are on a JDE World menu and you have the proper security access, just type in UDC on the command line and hit <ENTER>. You hopefully are in a test environment when you do this, since it sounds like you have very little knowledge of JDE. The UDC screen will come up. If you know the system code and code of the UDC table you want to look at, you can key them in and bring up that table. Otherwise, do F5. That will let you search by system code and see what table codes are available in each system. If you are not sure what UDC table you need, you can look at the JDE data dictionary for the data item you are interested in and that will tell you the UDC table, if the data item is UDC based.
    As for setting up new business units and company, get to the main general ledger menu. Don't remember the exact path, but you want to get into the setup/define menu for general ledger accounts. There will be separate options there for maintaining companies and for maintaining business units. You want to play with this in a test environment before you do anything for real.

  • Business Unit Analyst create planning round problem

    In the Business Unit Analyst 2.0 (mySAP ERP 2005) portal business package when creating a planning round I can go through to the 3rd screen "Review and Save", but when I hit save the following error appears on the screen and it does not save the planning round:
    java.rmi.RemoteException: Service call exception; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
    I am using java version 1.4.2_12-b03.  The portal is NW2004s stack level  8.
    Has anyone found the same problem?

    Your point about the prerequisites lead me to the solution. The settings were wrong in Virtual Room settings in the Visual Administrator and the Collaboration Room Backend Properties in the portal. These need to be correct as a virtual room is created by the system when the planning round is created.

  • Failed to create executive customer (by Business Partner)

    Forum,
    I am having problems with a recent upgrade to 8.81 PL06. On the server when the OI addon is started it prompts the template creation screen. Upon trying to create them it comes up with the error:
    Failed to create 'Executive Customer (By Business Partner)'
    This is despite being a local admin hence eliminating access rights.
    I have also followed instructions from SAP Note: 861055 - Missing Outlook Integration template however this was to no avail. I get the same error. Upon loading the 'Define Snapshot Templates' screen this is empty for the UK
    This i suspect is what is causing 'Internal Error' message when trying to send emails on clients in addition to the fact nothing is being attached to the email.
    Outlook Integration server has been reinstalled on the server too. It would seem the clients don't seem to be pick up the templates guide.
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • How do you create a custom control which has several buttons?

    Can you do this in LabView?
    I want to make it so that one button will disable or switch the value/state of another. (Think minesweeper). I can create the logic in a subVI, but only if I have access to the property nodes of each of the buttons.
    I want the front panel of the main VI to have the buttons on it, and I don't want the buttons to appear in a separate window.
    If I place all of the buttons individually on the front panel of the main VI and pass their references to the subVI, I end up with tons and tons of variables in the main VI block diagram. It works but is very very messy.
    I tried to create a custom control with a cluster of buttons in it, but I can't seem to get at the individual property nodes. Is it possible?

    Hi Jen
    Yes it is possible to get the individual property nodes of controls that are in a cluster.
    You have a property Controls[] in the property node of the cluster, so you get an array of control references. You just have to extract the single references to access the controls.
    I attached a screen-shot, which shows this possibility.

  • Creating a custom screen saver that won't blow a small image

    Hello All...
    At work, my boss is trying to get me to create a custom screen saver with our business logo to display when activated. I'm usually pretty comfortable with these kinds of tasks, but for this one I'm at a loss.
    I've have my logo in a designated folder and when I'm under Screen Saver in System Preferences, I have that folder selected and then would like the image to repeat itself, but basically jump around the screen (sort of like "gasp" the Windows XP default screen saver). My problem is that no matter what the size of my logo is, it is fitted automatically to the size of the monitor, even if it is a rather small logo. Therefore, 1) it is very pixelated and 2.) it defeats the purpose of the screen saver because it can't jump around.
    I've turned off the option "Crop slides to fill screen" thinking that would work, but it hasn't. We're running OS 10.5.8 on 24" iMacs from early/mid 2009. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    It's not heavy handed. this is the only thing that makes sense here and I was going to suggest that too. just make an image of appropriate size. that's not hard.
    In fact, using Photoshop or Gimp you could make several layers, each with a different colour background, move the logo around on each layer, save each layer as a separate image and then play with them. Do a slideshow with transitions etc.
    BTW, where did the quartz composer go? It used to be included in the previous versions of OSX.
    Quartz composer would let you create "proper" screen savers.

  • How to Capture Multiple Cost centres and Business Unit information in a project?

    Dear Experts,
    With the help of UDA functionality in project super responsibility, I have captured Cost centre and Business unit information and this info will be used/reflected in CC and BU segments of all transactions gets recorded against that project.
    Now, our user wish to have multiple cost centres and business units to be tracked in the same one project. How is this feasible? Below example describes my requirement in a summary, please advise.
    An Indirect project is created when a defect on a machine reported from client's customer and all subsequent activities (purchases, travel to customer site to analyse and troubleshoot, purchases for any in-house analysis etc..involves costs spending internally) in resolving that defect/project involves 6 to 7 different departments (Sales, Tech Support, Quality team etc.,who actually work/travel and spend costs against project until defect resolution). And, each of the above departments will have 1 dedicated owner (project owners) to manage that project and each of these 6 or 7 owners owners will have their own cost centres (eg: 2345 - Sales team) against which they wish to see their transactions (travel, purchases during defect resolution) globally.
    So, all I want to know is how can I make one single project to accommodate multiple cost centresand business unit information to be assigned using UDA? Please let me know if I am not clear.

    I think you should use the expenditure organization on the transaction itself to derive the CC/BU. Have AA lookups and define AA rules where you look at a Exp Org to BU or Cost Center to derive accounting.

  • User defined notification & custom alert in business process(eInsight)?

    HI All,
    I have a User Defined Notification Type setup in AlertAgent.
    I want to create a Custom Alert in a Business Process that will be picked up by the User Defined Notification Type I have setup. I can't figure this out though?
    The documentation doesn't seem to cover this (briefly mentions collaborations only), and I can find no examples.
    Can you please explain how this is done, and/or send an example.

    To send out a custom alert, you'll need to call the alerter.cutom() method. However, this method is available only in a JCD.
    Here is the syntax:
    alerter.custom(String arg0, String arg1, String arg2);
    where
    - arg0 be an existing alert type you created via your properties file, or you defined in the AlertAgent as a new Notification.
    - arg1 is the severity of the alert
    - arg2 is the detailed message for the alert
    example:
    alerter.custom("HD-00001", "INFO", "custom test alert")
    The severity must be one of the valid alert severity levels {"FATAL","CRITICAL","MAJOR","MINOR","WARNING","INFO"}. There is a mention of how this should work in eGate_Sys_Admin_Guide.pdf section 8.4 and 8.4.1.

    We have taken an new project in which, there is more than one Business unit will gonna provide reosurces for the project. now i want to the cost & reveue for each Business Unit under this project & wants to give customer 1 combine invoice. Pls suggect how to proceed step by step.

    in my process...
    for every BU i have diffrt Profit centre & cost centre,
    i create 1 wbs element for one project eg I-000107-001
    now in this
    I = Domain ( it  will be difft for difft BU)
    000107  = its for project
    001 = ID for comp. code to be invoiced.
    now... under one project ( wbs element)
      i have to use Resources from difft BU. since each BU has separate profit centre & cost centre, so all the BU should get their revenue share. but only one invoice should be create  for the customer.
    Now pls. advice in breif how  to procedd in this.

    I'm wondering does anyone have experience dealing with an organization comprised of many different business units all using CRM 2007.
    We are looking to find information on how best to configure the system to handle this with regards to authorizations. For example if division A needed visibility on certain areas of division B's information is this easy to configure and how would one go about doing it?

    Solutions is: As per my experience you have to create a Business Role. (EX: If you have 3 Units under your organization) Every Unit u have to create a Business Role and you have to maintain Role Cofig., key After done Role Cofigar you have to assign to Business Role.
    Role Cofig., - IMG->CRM->UI Frame work->UI framework Definition ->Define Role Configuration Key
    You assign role configuration keys to business roles in the IMG:
    Customer relationship management > Business roles > Define business roles

  • Derive business unit from billing doc

    Hi all,
    I am trying to derive the business unit (VBRK-BZIRK) from the billing document instead of the customer master data.
    For that purpose, I added the charachteristic "billing document" (WWBD) and then I create  a derivation rule of type 'table lookup' with the following parameters:
    source:
    VBRK     VBELN     Billing Document     =     CO-PA     WWBD     Billing Document
    Assignment of table fields to target fields:
    VBRK     BZIRK     Business Unit     =     CO-PA     BZIRK     Business Unit
    on the condition tab I added the range of sales organizations for which this derivation needsto be active:
    CO-PA     VKORG     Sales Organization     >=     6000
    CO-PA     VKORG     Sales Organization     <=     8000
    When I test it in KEDR by entering, customer, sales org, billing document, is is working OK, but when I do an actual by creating a billing document, the derivation is not working.
    Does anyone know why this derivation is not working?
    And also, is there a way to analyze the actual derivation (not the test run in KEDR)?

    I finally got some ABAP help and was able to add an entry in table TKEZU using view V_TKEZU:
    Char.     BTran     Table     Field Name
    WWBD     KEDR     KOMK     BELNR
    Now, when I try to create the derivation rule with type table lookup I face another problem: in the 'source fields' section I
    am required to enter the operating concern (TKEZU-ERKRS), the field name (TKEZU-MERKMAL) and the business transaction (TKEZU-VRGNG), but when I enter the parameters (i.e. TKEZU-ERKRS=US10, TKEZU-MERKMAL=WWBD
    and TKEZU-VRGNG=KEDR) I get an error "Enter a valid source field. The field US10 is not a permitted source field" (message no. K/018).
    When I try to select values from the list (F4), I can only select out
    of the carachteristic names available in the system.
    Why am I not getting on the drop down list the real values for the table fields?
