Create a dynamic object HELP PLS!!! URGENT

I would like to create an object(e.g. a torch ... this will be created using 3D MAX or VRML) which can be viewed in an applet, where the object will dynamically grow by just keying in values. Is this possible?? If so can you pls tell me how OR point me to the right directions on where i can find more information. Thx in advance!!!
It's definitely possible. I have seen quite a few people
with interactivity problems, though, after loading their
objects from files. You will have to interfere with the
object creation process enough to allow changes to your
object after getting your scene live. This is the first
you will need to check: How to set the capabilities for
your loaded object. Second, I would advise you to have
a look at transforming and translating. You will need to
define transformations which - when applied to some
object - result in changing its size. It would probably
be easier to use distance instead of real resizing. In
other words: The object at the beginning is some distance
away, when you start "enlarging" it, it is moved closer
to the viewer, thereby visually growing. Truly enlarging
something to scale will be a lot more difficult, I'd
think. Oh, and one other thing, since you said, it should
be an applet: You DO know, that Java 3D by default is not
supported by browsers without first installing the Java 2
and Java 3D plugins, right?

I am currently developing a card game. I represent my cards as buttons. But as the player draws more cards from the deck I have to generate buttons dynamically at run-time. I could use arrays of buttons and store new buttons inside that arrays of buttons. But the only problem is I need ActionListener for each of my buttons. I got a virus, my comp can't boot into safe mode and the
crappy repair function on XP freezes, so my next option is to
reformat, plus I was just about to backup my files but luckilly
it's on a different partition.
I installed vista previously and was having such a drama with
the new version of IIS, that basically nothing would work. It
frustrated me that much that I went back to XP and the old version
of IIS
Should I now go back to Vista and the new version of IIS?
Has anyone had any problems with Vista and the new IIS?
Any guidence on this please?
ps: I know I should be Apache and unixWell unfortunately, IIS 7, which ships on Vista, is
technically not an official release until the release of Windows
Server 2008. If IIS is imperative to your solution right now I
would stick with XP & IIS 6 since that is what Windows Server
2003 supports. However, I would recommend going out and purchasing
some A/V software and Firewall software for your PC just to ensure
this problem does not happen again.
I believe that Vista SP 1 will closely correlate to the
release of Windows Server 2008 which would probably be a better
time to take another look at Vista and IIS 7. -

I need to create a dynamic object for a class & invoke it.
For eg: I have a table in my DB where all the names of my java classes are stored. I need to call name from the table of the DB and call that class dynamically in my java program.

Haider ImaniWell for a start since a class name is a String, not a number you'd better start by getting the name with getString() not getDouble().
You need to work with fully qualified names, (FQNs) like "com.acme.myproject.MyDynamicClass", not just the bare MyDynamicClass.
The next question is where the .class files for the dynamically loaded classes are stored. If they are part of your normal program code, on the class path, then you can use Class.forName to load the class and return a Class object. If they are in some special place you'll need to create a URLClassLoader and get the Class from that.
Generally, when you load a class this way, it should implement some known interface, or extend some know abstract class. By placing objects of the dynamic class in a reference to that interface you can use the methods defined in the interface.
The usual way of getting an instance of a dynamic class is to call newInstance() on the Class object. -

RajeshThis issue is really becoming a problem for us. Does anyone have any examples of label templates. The label when generated automatically converts from pontrait to landscape. If you increase the size of the template then word complains about the page and margin size before printing.

Failed to create object.Help needed
Hi, I have some program here, the BPDU class and also the RootBridge class. The BPDU class is just a simple class with all the getMethods and the setMethods. For the RootBridge class, it is suppose to connect to the JDBC ODBC database, and create arraylist and retrieve the mac address, priority and also the port id from the database. However, when I tried to create a BPDU object, it gives me an error saying :

The error message means that the BPDU class doesn't have an empty constructor. You must pass the in needed arguments to the BPDU constuctor.

First of thanks for your reply, and coming to my requirement, I need to report the list of items which are there in the dynamic select statement what am getting from the DB. The select statement number of columns may vary in my example for different countries the select item columns count is different. For US its '15', for UK it may be 10 ...like so, and some of the column value might be a combination or calculation part of other table columns (The select query contains more than one table in the from clause).
In order to execute the dynamic select statement and return the result i choose to write a function which will parse the cursor for dynamic query and then iterate the values and construct a Type Object and append it to the pipe row.
Am relatively very new for these sort of things, welcome in case of any suggestions to make it simple (Instead of the function what i thought to work with) also a sample narrating the new procedure will be appreciated.

DavidAs for beziers, Illustrator uses cubic beziers which are fairly straight forward (thank goodness!). Here's a lift from Wikipedia's Bezier entry:
This image is pretty good at demonstrating how AI's bezier segments work. In the animation, the moving point has two lines sticking off it, ending with two points. If P3 was an AISegment, the left-hand blue point would be in and the right-hand point would be out. If we were to translate the state of the animation in its last frame into AI code, you'd basically have something like this:

Note that this would imply any line that continues beyond either end point isn't a smooth beizer curve (i.e. the curve is limited to between these points). Another way to get a feel for this is to use the pen tool to draw a line with a few segments. If you then pick the sub-select tool (white selection arrow, not black selection arrow) and select individual points on the curve, you'll see when you do that two 'anchors' jut out from each point. Those are the in & out for that point on the curve.
Its all a little confusing because technically, a bezier segment between p & q would be p, p.out, q.in & q. (four vertices). To avoid repeating information, and keep it simple for non-beziers, AI's segments are still the vertices. So if you wanted to make the nth segment a beizer, you'd need n & n+1 from AI's path, and you'd modify two-thirds of each AISegment (p, out from n & in, p from n+1).

Help me to achieve my goal: creating a dynamic CQ5 website from a CRX Imported Site
Hello everyone.
For two weeks now, i'm trying to create a dynamic content CQ5 website from an imported CRX site.
What I already did and where I am now:
Step 1 - I have imported a website using the CRX Import Site tool.
Step 2 - I have done some mappings in my imported site images and texts. In the CRX content repository estructure, I can found the mappings as
unstructured nodes, at "etc/designs/mysite/dev/mappings", the component properties matching the components I selected in the component extractor;
Step 3 - I have done some extractions in my imported site images and texts. In the CRX content repository estructure, I can found the extracted components
at "apps/mysite/resources/images" (the last two ones I created myself);
Step 4 - After done all these steps, I acessed the Web Sites CQ5 menu and selected the "New Site" option, in the "New..." button. A "MySite Blueprint" is avaliable
to be selected as a Blue Print to my new site, but If I select this one and create my new site, not all the mapped components can be manipulated or selected and some
mappings just show on as an empty selection box in the page, where I am able to insert images, for exemple.
In short, after all these steps, I still can't do what I want with my mapped components and the new site is, basically, the same as the imported. Not every mapped components can be selected and edited and I can't change my site template or content (the far I got here is add a new image in the site, but without the liberty to change the position).
So, what I'm forgetting? Is there some step that I don't getting through? Maybe I need to work on the template created by the site importer?
Is there some material or media that can help me or maybe add knowledge to me?
Already read the "Site importer" and "Components" in Adobe CQ5 Documentation but don't get me far from where I am now.
If someone can help me to make this process better, with more liberty on my new site and the possibility to control all the components, adding new ones
or editing the existent ones, I'll be very gratefull and with a great new knowledge.

Thanks.I want to do this using the site importer because I want to show my clients how we can make content management and experience customizations a lot easier starting by their own websites.
So, importing my customer website and transforming it in a new CQ website is the way to show this.
Anyway, thanks in advance and I'm going to look at the page component for the website that I imported.
