Create a list that reacts more like a picker/date picker

Hi guys,
I want to display some data in similar way as you would select a date on I phone,
Its like a type of list that always centres the item in the middle of the list...
I belive its called the UIDatePicker
and looks like this ...

I have my data as spark list component currently but want to modify it so it looks like the above.
Any ideas on where to start?

I have been mucking around with the list component to see if I can get it to behave in this way, but with little success.
I think Im going to create my own component in flash and import as a swc for use.

Creating custom lists that are links to SharePoint sites.

I am new to SharePoint 2013 Online and was wondering if there is a non-coding way to build a sub-site from a template that is not initially connected to a site collection. Attach this sub-site to a site an already existing site collection afterwards and
use data from the sub-site that is created, to generate a custom list items that can also be used as links to the sub-site itself.
How I thought this might work would be to create templates for site collections (if that is even possible), and then use a links list or some other type of linked list but not exactly sure how this is done in SharePoint.
Any input on how to go about this would be greatly appreciated as well as any insight as to whether this is even possible to do with out coding. Thanks in advance.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to create custom lists that are links to SharePoint sub-sites.
I recommend to create a custom list and add a multiple line column to display the sub-sites url.
Then create a workflow associate a custom list and use “Call HTTP Web Service" action and “Build Dictionary" action to get the count of the sub-sites.
Then use the Loop Stage to create a new item in the custom list and set the multiple line column to the url you get in the dictionary.

Swatches Pallette that behaves more like Illustrator or InDesign

Please implement a swatches pallette that behaves more like the one in Illustrator or InDesign - with the ability to group swatches, easily import groups of swatches from another file or .ase, and overall just be more friendly for editing and creating swatches for specific project use or client use. (also make it easier to delete groups of swatches)

There won't be complete consistency, becuase the applications work in very different ways. Photoshop's swatches are just a way to pick colors, not live objects connected to the artwork as in Illustrator and InDesign.
Also, each app has considerable history, and major changes to functionality aren't undertaken lightly.
And remember that each app addresses many different kinds of user: what may be appropriate to your workflow may hinder someone else's. (and we can't offer an infinite number of UI variants)
But that said, we have several requests to make Photoshop's swatches (and other presets) easier to manage. We have some ideas, but haven't had time to work on them yet.

I currently run OS X 10.10.1
Now i have been trying to work on this for a while now and what i want to do should be simple but its apparently not.
Here is an example of what i want to happen.
I will have 2 tabs: Contact | Sales
Now Contacts will have the list of names and various information about a customer, While Sales will have one drop-down box for each Cell Row that will show the names of the person in tab contacts
for what i am wanting to do i cant use the data format pop-up menu because the list is edited everyday several times a day.
Now how do i do this, Excel can do this so how can numbers do it?

I'm trying to figure out how to create an event that reacts to input from a serial port in J2ME.
After reading many articles on how to create a custom event in java, I'm having trouble grasping the concept of combining that with input from a serial port connection.
I understand that I need to create a class for the event, extend EventListener, EventObject, etc. But I'm having trouble figuring out how it's supposed to read when input is available from a serial port.
Can someone help me understand what I am supposed to do?

Hi, I tried to create a slideshow that contain more than 500 photos. Now, trying to open / execute / select the slideshow, iPhoto hangs with the spinning coloured wheel and I have only to force the deletion from System Preference. Any suggestion?

I already tried to rebuild the iPhoto Library (all the possible options) and tried to update teh version from 9.4.3 to 9.5 but the problem still persists: is there a way to delete this slideshow without selecting it ? How can I solve the problem, please?

Can you restore your iPhoto Library from a backup version, that was created before you added the slideshow?
If not, have you tried to rebuild the slideshow with iPhoto Library Manager?

Pen tool that behaves more like in Illustrator

I'd like the pen tool to behave more like in Illustrator - mainly where you can click on
points to make them lose half of a handle, rather than having to go get the convert tool and click on the point.

In Photoshop you never have to actually choose the Convert Point tool at all, its best reached with these shortcuts.
• When using the Pen, the Alt key will change to the Convert Point tool, as C.Pfaffer… has said. Needs to be over the endpoints, or path points.
• When using the Pen, the command (cntrl) key , will bring up the Direct Selection tool. These two shortcuts mean that with a single tool you can make and reshape paths in any way, no switching tools necessary. A much better, and quicker to use system, than Illustrators more cumbersome system in my opinion.
• With the Direct Selection Tool (A key), Option > Command (cntrl) at the same time will also bring up the Convert Point tool. This means that the reshaping existing paths is also easier in Photoshop.
For people who are so ingrained into Illustrator's way of doing these things, I think it would be possible to have a Preference to use "Illustrators Pen Tool" - this is a valid Feature Request and this has been suggested before.

How to get items from a list that has more items than the List View Threshold?

I'm using SharePoints object model and I'm trying to get all or a subset of the items from a SharePoint 2010 list which has many more items than the list view threshold (20,000+) using the SPList.GetItems() method. However no matter what I do the SPQueryThrottledException
always seems to be thrown and I get no items back.
I'm sorting based on the ID field, so it is indexed. I've tried setting the RowLimit property on the SPQuery object(had no effect). I tried specifying the RowLimit in the SPQuerys ViewXml property, but that still throws a throttle exception. I tried using the
ContentIterator as defined here:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.office.server.utilities.contentiterator.aspx,
but that still throws the query throttle exception. I tried specifying the RowLimit parameter in the ProcessListItems functions, as suggested by the first comment here:http://tomvangaever.be/blogv2/2011/05/contentiterator-very-large-lists/,
but it still throws the query throttle exception. I tried using GetDataTable instead, still throws query throttle exception. I can't run this as admin, I can't raise the threshold limit, I can't raise the threshold limit temporarily, I can't override the lists
throttling(i.e. list.EnableThrottling = false;), and I can't override the SPQuery(query.QueryThrottleMode = SPQueryThrottleOption.Override;). Does anyone know how to get items back in this situation or has anyone succesfully beaten the query throttle exception?

The problem with the code you have is that your SPQuery object's QueryThrottleMode is set to default. If you run that code as a local admin no throttle limits will be applied, but if you're not admin you will still have the normal throttle limits. In my
situation it won't be run as a local admin so the code you provided won't work. You can simulate my dilemma by setting the QuerryThrottleMode property to SPQueryThrottleOption.Strict, and I'm sure you'll start to get SPQueryThrottledException's
as well on that list of 700000+ items.

Need to create a function that will act like the save as browser function

I need to create a button on a web page that will open up a save dialog box and then save the current web page as an .html file on the persons hard drive. The reason for this is because the window is a pop up that does not have the browser menu or any toolbars showing just the what we call print view. This window was used only as a print view so people can print the form out but now the powers that be want a save button as well so the people can save it to there HD. I can do this in IE using javascript but no other browser allows that so I need to create something in java. I have read about the setHeader() to download the file but I am sort of new and from what I've read it all sounds like you will be downloading a specific file and not the web page as a file. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can accomplish this? It doesn't have to be the save as dialog box just a way the person can get the current web page on their HD for viewing offline and done at the press of a button. Thanks.

You'll be wanting to output a PDF or the like instead of a web page. That's the solution to your problem.

Some apps that you download on your iPhone may possibly be to new for the iPod touch 2nd gen. I have a iPhone 5 and a iPod touch 2nd generation myself. If you plug his ipod into iTunes and restore it from a backup of your iPhone than it will download the paid apps and music that are compatible with his ipod. Hope this helps.

Just locate the itunes folder on your laptop, then locate media files then music and just click and drag to move the music from the laptop to the S5. Just be sure to move the music to the music folder on your phone and you're good to go. You don't even have to change the file format when you're moving the music over because Galaxy supports the iTunes media files.

You can see what's in iCloud collectively at settings > iCloud > storage & back up > manage.... You can only edit the data through the appropriate app (contacts, calendars etc)
For problems with 3rd party apps, contact the developer.

How do I roll up tasks from different sites in the same collection into one task list that can be overlayed onto a calendar or a timeline?

I am working on how to make an aggragate list that I would like to overlay to a calendar, or add to a timeline. There are more than 20 different project sites that have task lists. I created a custom content type for a task list that adds the
column "Major Milestone." I would like to take all tasks that are marked as Major Milestone and have them be displayed on a calendar or timeline on the parent site that sums up all of the Major Milestones in the child sites.
How should I go about doing this? ... and thanks in advance!

overlay the results from the content query onto a calendar.
