x_employee_id in number default null,
x_email_address in varchar2 default null,
x_fax in varchar2 default null,

x_user_name,
x_owner,
x_unencrypted_password,
x_session_number,
x_start_date,
x_end_date,
x_last_logon_date,
x_description,
x_password_date,
x_password_accesses_left,
x_password_lifespan_accesses,
x_password_lifespan_days,

  • Create new user like another user with select privilege???

    our user requested create another user similar to "apps" , but only "selec t" privilege to "apps" objects and other user's objects which grant to "apps".
    In this case they can use tool login and do some work.
    Does anyone know how to "create a new user like APPS", bur only copy APPS "select" privilege to this new user?
    Thanks.

    Why do you think you need to create a 'dummy' OS account?  export and import a simply client applications.  They connect to the database using normal database account credentials.  The OS account has nothing to do with it.  The developers don't even need an OS account at all, as they can run imp from their oracle client-enabled desktops.

  • How to create a user like orcladmin

    I need to create a user with the same privileges as orcladmin.
    Can anybody help me with the steps necesary to do it.
    Thanks in advance.

    i was also in need of the same.
    but didn't found any solution generic.
    to achieve this i went for a round circle to find out in which groups orcladmin is a uniquemember and added the one which i want to be same as orcladmin.
    hope this will help it out

    Hi,
    Is there any special thing we have to do to create Oracle USER from another system?I believe you need to check the third party manual or contact the vendor for other considerations when creating user accounts from this system.
    For FND_USER_PKG, please see the links referenced in this thread.

    Hi
    1. First create a user like readonlyweblogic using some password in Weblogic Console. In Weblogic Console itself, select this new user and go to his Group Memberships and add a Group named Monitors. This means this user has Monitor role for Weblogic Console. Monitor is a Read Only access role to the weblogic console.
    2. NOW, with full admin privileges user, login into EM Console. Select soa_infra, right click mouse -> Security -> Application Roles. On right side, click green arrow and see list of Roles shown. Select the role named SOAMonitors, click on this. And add a User to this that is created above like "readonlyweblogic".
    3. Close all the browsers. Open a new browser and test weblogic console and em console with this new user.
    I have this setup like this in many envs and they all work fine. They are read only access users for admin console and em console.
    Thanks

  • How to create a user account by mirroring another account in PowerShell (Trying to learn to use Powshell for some daily AD tasks intead of the GUI)

    Hi,
    I am trying to create user accounts via PowerShell instead of the Gui in server 2008 R2 (PowerShell 2.0).
    I know how to create a user account with the following Power Shell command below is one from a dummy domain I created to practice.
    PS C:\Users\Administrator> New-ADUser -SamAccountName "TestOut" -UserPrincipalNa
    me "[email protected]" -GivenName "Test" -Surname "out" -DisplayName "Testou
    t" -Name "Testout" -Enabled $true -Path "CN=users,DC=bwcat,DC=net,DC=int" -Accou
    ntPassword (Read-Host -AsSecureString "Enter Account Password")
    However when doing day to day tasks where I work normally we have a new hire, they contact IT and ask that a user account is created.   I will ask who they would like to mirror.
    I then would go into the gui pull up the user that they want to mirror right click him and choose copy.  This would create a new user account that I would then fill out.
    I am wondering if its possible to do this same thing via PowerShell, or  if its not an option because it takes more work type up everything than it does to go into the gui and do it.
    Anyway thanks for the help.

    Hi Wilder, hi Mark,
    first of all: The tutorial sources Mark posted - especially the book "Powershell 3 in A month of lunches" - are good to get a baseline start. A really great reference, especially when you try to learn it while still dealing with your daily business.
    On another note, Wilder: While I fully agree that learning things sequentially is usually the best, I too jumped right in instead of learning how to walk first (though it's been some time now. Fewer years than you'd think, but still ...). So I thought I'd
    give you a little aid with that function husk, so you could just stuff interesting bits into an available structure, making use of the fun tools in a useful context (It's fun fiddling around with the commands, but if you have to type in all of them manually
    each time, using the GUI is often just faster. Doing fun things and being efficient with it feels even better though ...). So ... while I
    do agree with yourself, learn it the Correct & Proper Way, I also do
    intend to finish this little explanation about the husk, all the way to the end.
    Everything below this paragraph is part of this.
    function Copy-ADUser
    <#
    .SYNOPSIS
    A brief description of the Copy-ADUser function.

    .PARAMETER Template
    A description of the Template parameter.
    .EXAMPLE
    PS C:\> Copy-ADUser -GivenName "Max" -Surname "Mustermann" -Template "Jonny.Normal"
    .NOTES

    [Parameter(Mandatory = $true)]
    [string]
    $Template
    ) # Create finished Strings
    $JoinedName = $GivenName + "." + $Surname
    # Create new User
    $NewUser = New-ADUser -Surname $Surname -GivenName $GivenName -DisplayName "$Surname, $GivenName" -SamAccountName $JoinedName -Name "$Surename, $GivenName" -PassThru
    # Copy from old User
    $NewUser | Add-ADPrincipalGroupMembership -MemberOf (Get-ADPrincipalGroupMembership $Template | Where { $_.Name -ne 'Domain Users' })
    # Do Whatever else you feel like doing
    This is again the same function husk I posted earlier. Only this time, I filled a little logic (the pieces that were already posted in this thread). This time, I'll not only go over each part again ... I'll do it by reposting the segments and trying to show
    some examples on how to modify the parts. Thus some of it will be repetitive, but this way all the info is in one spot.
    Segment: Comment Based Help
    <#
    .SYNOPSIS
    A brief description of the Copy-ADUser function.
    .DESCRIPTION
    A detailed description of the Copy-ADUser function.
    .PARAMETER GivenName
    A description of the GivenName parameter.
    .PARAMETER Surname
    A description of the Surname parameter.
    .PARAMETER Template
    A description of the Template parameter.
    .EXAMPLE
    PS C:\> Copy-ADUser -GivenName "Max" -Surname "Mustermann" -Template "Jonny.Normal"
    .NOTES
    Additional information about the function.
    #>
    That's the premier documentation part of a function, that teaches a user what the function does and how to use it. It's what's shown when using the Get-Help cmdlet.
    Comment texts are not restricted to single lines however. For example you could replace ...
    .EXAMPLE
    PS C:\> Copy-ADUser -GivenName "Max" -Surname "Mustermann" -Template "Jonny.Normal"
    ... with ...
    .EXAMPLE
    PS C:\> Copy-ADUser -GivenName "Max" -Surname "Mustermann" -Template "Jonny.Normal"
    Creates a new user named Max Mustermann and copies the group memberships of the already existing user Jonny Normal to this new User
    ... and get an explanation on what the example does when using Get-Help with the
    -Detailed parameter (Explaining examples is always a good idea).
    Segment: Parameter
    [CmdletBinding()]
    Param (
    [Parameter(Mandatory = $true)]
    [string]
    $Surname,
    [Parameter(Mandatory = $true)]
    [string]
    $GivenName,
    [Parameter(Mandatory = $true)]
    [string]
    $Template
    This is the segment that tells Powershell what input your function accepts. Each parameter of Copy-ADUser you set will be available in the next segment as a variable of the same name. You can add additional parameters if you need more information for your
    logic. For example, let's add a parameter that allows you to specify what Organization the new user should belong to:
    [CmdletBinding()]
    Param (
    [Parameter(Mandatory = $true)]
    [string]
    $Surname,
    [Parameter(Mandatory = $true)]
    [string]
    $GivenName,
    [string]
    $Organization,
    [Parameter(Mandatory = $true)]
    [string]
    $Template
    That's how that would look like. You may notice that I didn't add the line with
    "[Parameter(Mandatory = $true)] this time. This means you
    may add the Organization parameter when calling Copy-ADUser, but you need not.
    Segment: Logic
    # Create new User
    $NewUser = New-ADUser -Surname $Surname -GivenName $GivenName -DisplayName "$Surname, $GivenName" -SamAccountName "$GivenName.$Surename" -Name "$Surename, $GivenName" -PassThru
    # Copy from old User
    $NewUser | Add-ADPrincipalGroupMembership -MemberOf (Get-ADPrincipalGroupMembership $Template | Where { $_.Name -ne 'Domain Users' })
    # Do Whatever else you feel like doing
    This is the part of the function that does the actual work. Compared to the first husk I posted, this time there are two commands in it (and some comments). First, I create a new user, using the information passed into
    the parameters -Surname and -GivenName. Then I Copy the group memberships of the user identified by the information given by the
    -Template parameter.
    So, let's modify it!
    # Tell the user you are starting
    Write-Host "Starting to create the user account for $GivenName $Surname"
    # Create new User
    $NewUser = New-ADUser -Surname $Surname -GivenName $GivenName -DisplayName "$Surname, $GivenName" -SamAccountName "$GivenName.$Surename" -Name "$Surename, $GivenName" -PassThru
    # Tell the user you are copying Group Memberships
    Write-Host "Copying the group-memberhips of $Template to $GivenName $Surname"
    # Copy from old User
    $NewUser | Add-ADPrincipalGroupMembership -MemberOf (Get-ADPrincipalGroupMembership $Template | Where { $_.Name -ne 'Domain Users' })
    # Do Whatever else you feel like doing
    Now after adding a few lines, the logic will tell us what it's doing (and do so before it
    is taking action)!
    Hm ... didn't we create a change in the Parameter Segment to add an -Organization parameter? Let's use it!
    # If the -Organization parameter was set, the $Organization variable will be longer than 0. Thus do ...
    if ($Organization.Length -gt 0)
    # Tell the user you are starting
    Write-Host "Starting to create the user account for $GivenName $Surname in the Organization $Organization"
    # Create new User
    $NewUser = New-ADUser -Surname $Surname -GivenName $GivenName -DisplayName "$Surname, $GivenName" -SamAccountName "$GivenName.$Surename" -Name "$Surename, $GivenName" -Organization $Organization -PassThru
    # If the -Organization parameter was NOT set, the $Organization variable will have a length of 0. Thus the if-condition does not apply, thus we do the else block
    else
    There! Now we first check whether the -Organization parameter was set (it's not mandatory after all, so you can skip it). If it
    was set, do whatever is in the curly braces after if (...). However, if it wasn't set, do whatever is in the curly braces after
    else.
    And that concludes my "minor" (and hopefully helpful) tutorial on how to use the function husk I posted :)
    With this, whenever you find another cool command that helps you in the user creation process, you can simply add it, similar to what I did in these examples.
    And if it all didn't make much sense, go through the tutorials in proper order and come back - it'll make much more sense then.
    Cheers and good luck with PowerShell,
    Fred

  • Business Management Error: You are attempting to create a user with a domain logon that does not exist. Select another domain logon and try again.

    Hello,
    Suddenly the working CRM is being stopped for some group of users.
    I drilled down to the issue and have checked that the users from Domain in which CRM is installed are having CRM access.
    But for other domain user having problem to access CRM.
    I tried to add a user from a domain which is not of CRM domain then it gives following error.
    "Business Management Error: You are attempting to create a user with a domain logon that does not exist. Select another domain logon and try again.
    <Message>LookupAccountNameW failed with error</Message> "
    The change is made - AD group have upgraded Activer Directory server to 2012 R2
    Please help as the Production CRM is not working for other domain user.

    We have Activer Directory Structure like below.
    One Root Domain says A
    and there are multiple child domain like B,C,D etc...
    B,C and D are all in same level,they are child of A domain.
    There are two way transitive trusts between A and all the child Domain.
    But there is no trust in between B and C and so on.
    Our CRM server is in B domain and B domain's user can access CRM but users of Domain C,D and so on can not access CRM.

  • Allowing a user to create/drop tables in another users schema

    We have a central shared schema (TEAM). So we can monitor who is doing what users have there own login(USER1, USER2...). Is there a way to allow a user to create/drop objects in another user.
    I.e.
    SQL> connect USER1
    SQL> create team.table1(col1 char(1));
    SQL> drop table team.table1:
    How can this be set up?
    Ben

    Here is what you can do, If you want to keep track of what users are doing.
    Open the glogin.sql file and set the spool like this
    spool /oracle/audit/SID_&_user.logEverytime user logs in it will be populated and you will be able to see who is doing what.
    You can remove the write permission on glogin.sql so that no one can modify it.
    You also need to create a script like this, which would rename it every time same user would login.
    #!/bin/ksh
    time=`date +"%b"_"%d"_"%H"_"%M"`
    ##you need to pass some more variables and while loop to include all the users## ( This is just for an example)
    if [ -f /oracle/audit/SID_SYS.log ]
    then
    mv /oracle/audit/SYS.log /oracle/audit/SYS.log.$time
    fiEdit the glogin.sql file with this script information like this
    host /oracle/audit/file.kshHope this helps, if you need more information let me know.

  • Privilege to allow a user to create a view in another user's schema

    Hello,
    I need to allow a user to create a view in another user's schema.
    Say, to connect as USER_A and run statement: 'create view USER_B_SCHEMA.myview as select...'
    Is there any way to accomplish that without granting USER_A privilege to CREATE ANY VIEW? I want to keep USER_A at the lowest profile possible.
    Thanks!

    You have the option to create an stored procedure, here a test case (no optimized, no bug free):
    SYS@orcl > create user sp_owner identified by sp_owner;
    SYS@orcl > grant create any view to sp_owner;
    SYS@orcl> create procedure sp_owner.create_view (
      2  view_name varchar2, view_sql varchar2 ) is
      3  begin
      4    execute immediate 'create view '||view_name||' as '||view_sql;
      5  end;
      6  /
    Procedure created.
    SYS@orcl > create user test identified by test;
    SYS@orcl > grant create session to test;
    SYS@orcl > grant execute on sp_owner.create_view to test;
    TEST@orcl> execute sp_owner.create_view('scott.emp_vw','select * from scott.emp')
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.HTH

  • Create a new DB user like APPS user

    Hi all,
    I want to create a database user that have [select] and [execute] privilages for all tables under all schemas in eBusiness Suite database instance.
    My aim, is to create a safe user that can execute any query like APPS user do, but he can not update\insert\delete like APPS user do. Because APPS user should be limited to a few DBAs only, while other IT developers need to select or exexte programs only.
    the problem come from that not all eBusiness Suite DB objects under one schema, they are distributed under many schemas like APPS, HR, ..ect.
    Any advice on how to create such user pls?

  • CREATE/DROP synonyms in another user's schema without ANY privilege

    What's the best way to enable a user to create/drop synonyms in another user's schema without doing any of the following?:
    1) Granting CREATE/DROP ANY SYNONYM or CREATE/DROP PUBLIC SYNONYM to the synonym creator.
    2) Logging in as the user that will own the synonym to create the synonym.
    * Although option #2 might be ideal, it would require reworking a lot of code in our environment.
    I thought about creating a stored procedure in the syn-owner's schema that issues the "CREATE SYNONYM" DDL command and then granting EXECUTE on this proc to the syn-creator -- but, it's my understanding that it's best to avoid putting DDL inside stored code.
    Any ideas?
    Oracle version is 10.2.0.4

    DBA should recognize"should" is the operative word here :)
    One clarification: the user from which the DBA's are planning to revoke the "ANY" privs is an account used internally by one of our ETL tools -- not a developer account. In fact, only the ETL tool itself and the DBA's can log into the account in TST/PRD (developers can log in with it in DEV). Even so, the DBA's still want to revoke "ANY" privs from ALL non-DBA accounts in ALL databases (including DEV). I kind of think that this is overkill, but then again, I don't make the rules here!
    Anyhow, it seems that what we need here is the insight of a political scientist rather than that of a DBA. (not that your perspective is not valued!!)
    Seems that I'll be going back to the drawing board...
    Thanks for your help.

  • Create user like ias_admin user but with less previlege in Oracle 10g AS

    Hi Friends,
    I am using Oracle 10g AS(10.1.2.0.2).
    I am using ias_admin user to admistrate it.
    Is it possible to create one more user like ias_admin but with less previleges like Read-only previlege and if so whats the procedure.
    Please suggest
    Regards,

    If you are talking about creating additional admin users for AS Control for Oracle Application Server 10gR2 (v10.1.2), than that's not possible. It does not support role based access administration. You can do it though with EM Grid Control and AS Control in Oracle Application Server 10gR3 (v10.1.3.x).
    Thanks

  • URGENT!!! Create a user form like SBO Default Form

    Hi every one,
    I would like to create a user form like the SBO Default Form, from an UDO.
    A form only with a Matrix, that I can Add, Delete e Update information from the matrix.
    I have tried the UDO Form Generator, but it didn't work.
    I'm desperate...
    Thanks.
    Fran.

    Hi Fran,
    Its quite simple, all you have to do is, to create a form using Screen Painter, the columns should be db data source bound and then, assign UDO for the same.  It will work fine.

  • Create user like

    Hi
    I want to create a new user with exactly same roles and priveleges with a user which is created before.
    How can I do that in Oracle 9i ? There is no enterprise manager

    Hello,
    YOu can genric script like in this example and create different users with the same privs and grants. It will prompt you to enter username and tablespace name, you can also do same for the password
    CREATE USER &username
    IDENTIFIED BY "password"
    DEFAULT TABLESPACE &tsname
    TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP
    PROFILE DEFAULT
    ACCOUNT UNLOCK;
    GRANT IMP_FULL_DATABASE TO &username;
    GRANT RESOURCE TO &username;
    GRANT EXP_FULL_DATABASE TO &username;
    GRANT CONNECT TO &username;
    ALTER USER &username DEFAULT ROLE NONE;
    GRANT CREATE SESSION TO &username;
    GRANT ALTER SYSTEM TO &username;
    BEGIN
    Not sure that the script is going to work foolproof. For example, I don't think that there is a need to give explicit create session when already user is getting connect role in 10g . Also resource role comes with an unlimited tablespace priv , a big NO IMO to be given just to anyone. A much better option than this can be to make stand alone user-created roles for all the different types of users and grant them to the users when they are created. By this, all one would need to do is to issue a create user and couple of grant role commands and he is done.
    Cheers
