Create abap program

i do not know why our ECC6.0 can't create abap program.we have had developer key.After i input obligatory fields,such as title,type,status and development class(package):$TMP, then I push save button.At last,it tells me Maximum Runtime Exceeded!

in fact my purpose to do so is to create a function module that can fetch data dynamically from different database tables based on the codings in different abap program.
for example: in one abap program i am coding as follows:
tables: kna1.
types: begin of itab,
          kunnr type kna1-kunnr,
          name1 type kna1-name1,
          end of itab.
data: it_tab type standard table of itab,
         wa_tab type itab.
similarly in other program i am coding as follows:
tables: vbrp.
types: begin of itab,
          posnr type vbrp-posnr,
          matnr type vbrp-matnr,
          arktx type vbrp-arktx,
          end of itab.
data: it_tab type standard table of itab,
         wa_tab type itab.
so now for both programs i want to call the same function module and fetch data as required in relative programs as mentioned above. in that case how to create that function module?

I wnat to trigger this ABAP program from BW . How to idenfied an abap program which is return in system1 into other system2.So that it can be executed from BI.

There are ways to do this.
Create an RFC in R/3 system (Tcode: se37 or read forums for sample). Create an event in sm62 (choose customer event) - then schedule your R/3 program (with whatever variant you want) in R/3 to trigger it when the event raised.
Within the RFC (R/3), you need to trigger the event -
Raise event to execute background jobs running under this event id
w_eventid type btceventid value 'ZCUSTOMEVENT'.
    call function 'BP_EVENT_RAISE'

p_dest being your R3 destination (this is RFC maintained in sm59 for your R3 client)....

How to add Abap program in process chain to check the another process chain status and do accordingly

My requirement is related to process chain 1 . I have one process chain in that i have to put abap program in middle of that chain . This program will check the status of one another process chain 2 status ( whether it was completed or it is going on). if it is completed then continue the Process chain 1 to further activity else wait to complete Process chain 2 .
Here i have to use process chain 2 as a parameter.
Kindly provide me solution .

You need to create ABAP program in which you check the values for required process chain in
following table
RSPCLOGCHAIN (Feilds ANALYZED_STATUS LOG_ID)
Depend on values you can trigger next process or you can wait unitil this process chain complete.you need to check status from table using ABAP.
If you are not aware about how to write ABAP program then take help from ABAP Team.

Is there a way to secure HR data against unauthorized user-defined ABAP program access; in other words is there a way to prevent a the HR tables access from within a newly created ABAP program (SELECT statement) ?

Hi, there's no way to prevent programs from accessing db-tables. Instead, you'll have to limit access on programs.
Especially, do not allow abap developers to run programs in your productive system. Encourage developers to implement authority-checks in their code. Consider well, who and who not, is to be allowed to run which program.

Only the suthor of ABAP programs can see and edit his/her code

We've created developer accounts with the following authorization profiles: A_ABAP_ALL, S_A.DEVLOPER, AND S_A.USER.
The account holder can access the system, create ABAP programs, and successfully run them. However, there is a problem: a user can see and edit the programs of others.
Can we set up the account in such a way that only the author of the program can see and edit it? If YES, what should we do?

How to run ABAP programs in another client?

If one user wants to run his ABAP program that resides in Client 900 with the data in Client 500, can he do it? both the clients reside in the same SAP system (the same physical SAP server).
If you've some idea about this, please help.

Insert Nodes into Hierarchy via ABAP Program

Hello,
I want to create ABAP program to insert nodes into a hierarchy.
I got a class CL_RSSH_HIERMAINTAIN_FRONT with method INSERT_NODES_HIERARCHY .
But the method is private and cannot be used in the ABAP call.
I also don't want a pop up which asks for the action on duplicate nodes.
Can anyone guide me a bit here ?

Hi,
Create ABAP program in BI/BW system with name like ZFILL_CALL.
Create RFC enabled function module(eg: ZRFCFM) in R/3 system, in this function module call your program which fills the ZTABLE from application server.
Call RFC function module ZRFCFM from your program ZFILL_CALL in BW system.(u need to RFC connections to these systems).
Create process of type "ABAP program" which u will find in General sevices in RSPC. Attach this process befor u r inpackage process chain.

How to create Inbound Idocs in a ABAP program? Any function Module?

Hello Experts,
My requirement is : I have sales order data which I extracted from third party system in my internal tables. In the same box I need to create inbound Idocs and then consequently create sales orders.
I have used the function module IDOC_INBOUND_WRITE_TO_DB to create inbound Idocs from Sales Orders data in internal tables. I have populated all the data records with correct PSGNUM and HLEVEL values. My plan is to create inbound idocs with this function module and send those to IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS function module which creates Sales Orders.
If a sales order in the internal table in ABAP program contains only one item, then I am getting correct idocs. But if more than one item exists for a sales order then the line item segments which got repeated in Idoc are having PSGNUM and HLEVEL values as zero when I checked in WE02. As a result the hierarchy from the second item segment is getting disturbed and getting the status 60.
I populated T_EDIDD with data records from IDOC_INBOUND_WRITE_TO_DB.
To the function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS, T_EDIDC and T_EDIDD are the input. I observed that in T_EDIDD also the PSGNUM and HLEVEL values are blank.
I am getting Status 60 with message 'EDI: Syntax error in IDoc (segment cannot be identified)' for idocs which have more than one item.
I need to extract sales data from third party and create inbound idocs and create sales orders in one ABAP program only. I need to display corresponding Idoc numbers for the corresponding third party sales order number in a listoutput.
Can anybody please provide inputs?

I have passed the PSGNUM and HLEVEL values while populating the data records. Then I sent the data records and control record information to the function module IDOC_INBOUND_WRITE_TO_DB. Inside this function module there is code to clear the PSGNUM values and HLEVEL values.

Please let me know if any inputs? Is there any function module existing to create Inbound Idocs inside an ABAP program?

Creation of Generic Data source using function module based on the program which was used to created ABAP report

Hi,
We have a requirement to create a BI report based on plant maintenance report. The plant maintenance report is based on a ABAP program with complex logic. My question is i want create a Generic Datasource using Function module and can I include the logic(Abap Program) that is used for plant maintenance report in the function module? Please share your thoughts.

Hi,
Step1-Create a table structure which you need to create same as the fields you require in you data source.
Step 2-create a custom abap program and inside that call the Client abap program with the selections as required and save the result data in some table
Step 3-create infoset query.In the infoset query give your table structure name and program name which you developed.
Step4-create data source on top of that query
