Hi All
I am trying to create an Interaction record Business Transaciton from code on the Web Ic.
I am using the function module crm_order_maintain, but I am getting errors.
Does anyone know if this is the correct fm to create the activity.
Any help would be greatly appreceiated.

Hi Darren,
Have you use function crm_order_maintain before?
Because it is quiet complicated that you have to prepare
each of group tables (Orgman, Partner, Order_h, Order_I etc...) depending upon your requirement.
For the error, can you more specific on the error.
At which step this error occurr?
Yes you can create Activity using this function module.
The only thing you need to do is to fit necessary parameters (tables) to this function (which are some quiet
trick and complex).

DNS record edit when we change over to the backup server but am still working on that.

I have SERVER-SQL record created. When SERVERSQL1 is the primary with an ip of 1.1.1.1, I want SERVER-SQL to have the IP address of 1.1.1.1. When SERVERSQL2 is the primary with an ip of 2.2.2.2, I want SERVER-SQL record to have the IP address
2.2.2.2.
Any help would be appreciated.

According to your description, I suppose that you have two SQL server, one is active and another is passive. I noticed that the
name is record is presented as SERVER-SQL which is different from both of the two servers. So we need create a CNAME record here.
Based on my knowledge, A record can be created dynamically. But we still need create CNAME record manually. So I think the solution
is back to the scripts.

2) By using ELM we can create BP with Activities and BP with Leads. But Here, my scenario is we have to Create BP with leads and Acivities. can any one help me on these areas?

Hi Sree,
I can help you with your first query.
When the system finds a duplicate record then either the system stops working further or proceeds with the error free record.
So once the duplicate entry is found only the first record will be considered and not the second or the duplicate record.

How to create a sipinternaltls record and make it work?

I set up a Lync 2013 server environment and all end uses can log in Lync clients, communicate with others. however, I can't connect to the DNS server by UCMA api. It throws an exception: "No connection could be made because the
target machine actively refused it 10.148.202.69:5061". So I thought it's a sip involved event.
I typed _sipinternal._tcp.<domain> and it returns:
Server: Unknown, Address:10.148.202.69( why the server is "unknown"?)
I tried use telnet and it returns: could not open connection on port 5061.
What should I do to make port 5061 work? Thanks.

What is the error when you run the command nslookup?
The default server is unknown because you didn’t create a PTR record in Reverse Lookup Zones to resolve to host name.
Run the command netstat –ano | findstr 5061 on Lync Front End Server to check the port 5061 is opened.

thank you Zheng. when i said error i means the "Unknown" word. After i entered the command,it returns:

when i entered telnet 10.148.202.13 5061 or telnet 10.148.202.69 5061, both return failed connection. obviously the port 5061 is not open.

Populate fields when creating an new record

Hello,
When I create a new record from an other record type (ex: a service request from a task), I would like to pre populate some fields which are common to the task and the SR (ex: Owner, Account, Contact) and already on the task record.
I have read that I could use the joinfieldvalue function with the post default activated.
But the fields Owner, Account and Contact are read only picklist on the service request record and I am not allowed to use the default feature...
Could you help? Do you have any idea?

Hi, As a service request can have multiple activities and you dont have the activity field (primary) in the service request, i dont think it is possible to acheive your requirement through JoinFieldValue. On the other hand if you like to default activity fields on basis of the associated SR to activity that is possible as the activity has the associated SR information. Hope it helps

When I check the output object, most of attributes are empty, (include the end time, start time, status & type), but the ActivityID and Created By is filled with content.
Next I checked the webservice utilization from the SoD page, there is a insert record showing the transaction has no error.
But when I search the Activity module, I could not find any records.
When I tried using WSDL 2.0 and do the above again, I got the same result.
What's wrong with that ? Could anyone please help me ?

I wounder if I should assign "" to the "ActivityId" when doing insertion or what else............

MSA - creating/changing activity for bp error : enter a valid value for bp

Hello experts,
while using msa with activites, on one client for one bp
I cannot create/change an activity: error:
insert a valid value for bp
This happens only for one bp on this client,
on other clients this bp works fine.
When I look in old activites for this bp, there in activity -> detail
the field bp (hyper link) is not filled.
I think there is a problem with the incorrect bp, but in which tables
can search for this ?

Hi,
I assume that the BP is present in table smokna1 but not available in smokna1sht (anymore).
When creating an activity the BP selection is based on smokna1, but the field/property validation is based on smokna1sht (see error message).
But unfortunately I don't have any idea for now how to download this particular record to this site...

Create an Activity Report for Current Week

I would like to create a activity report for the current week. The trick is that if the weekday is Wednesday or earlier (Sunday being the first day of the week), the report shows last week's activities; but if the weekday is Thursday or later (Saturday being the last day of the week), the report shows the current weeks activities.
I have a filter that works in Access but does not seem to work in Siebel. It does just what I explained above:
Between CDate(Int((IIf(Weekday(Now())<=4,Now()-(6+Weekday(Now())),Now()-(Weekday(Now())-1))))) And CDate(Int((IIf(Weekday(Now())<=4,Now()-Weekday(Now()),Now()+(7-Weekday(Now()))))))

This gave me the sunday of the week. You should be able to modify this format for your purposes.

How can you create an activity as subsequent act. of more than one activity

I want to create an activity as subsequent activity of more than one activity.
I am using FM CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE, but if I write data structure CRMXIF_DOC_FLOW with more than one item the system shows the error CRM_COPY 010 More than one predecessor was entered for data transfer.
However I have customized multiple relationship allowed, and if I do multiples links in transaction crmd_order it works all right.
Only it doesn't work with FM CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE. I need create activities with FM because they are interface R/3. What FM can I use to create multiple subsequent activities?

I have got some activities creates in the system. (e.g. Act. 1, Act. 2, Act. 3 and Act. 4). With the FM CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE filled the structure CRMXIF_DOC_FLOW you can create subsequence activity of one of them (e.g. Act. X.1). I need create the same activity (Act X.1) from another activity, (e.g. Act. 2). I know to do this in transaction CRMD_ORDER by link tab. But I don't know how to do this using FM or BADI or another thing.

You're setting up internal DNS services, you referenced your ISP DNS servers and you should not have, and now those servers have no translations for your hosts. This is a common misconfiguration.

And if there are any references to your ISP DNS servers here (within your client settings, within your server settings, your Airport settings, etc), then you're usually going to have DNS and connectivity problems. Normally, you can create a DNS record that points to the zone itself, e.g.:
@ 10800 IN A 196.197.200.201
How do you accomplish that on a Mac OSX Lion Server? The DNS requires you to enter a hostname and it does not accept "@" as the hostname as it normally appears in the zone file.
(manually modifying the host file does not work - I tried that ;-) )

Create either a blank record with a ., or a FQDN such as 'domain.com.' (note the trailing dot). Either of these should map to the domain name.

Is there a way for the Yosemite maps app to add address to an existing contact (in contacts app) instead of creating new contact record with blank name (not useful)?

I was using the maps app in yosemite to look up an address, once I was able to verify the address, I wanted to add that address to an existing contact record in the contacts app. When I clicked on the option to add address to contacts, it unfortunately creates a new record with the address in it, however, the rest of the contact is blank.
My question is: is there a way to prompt the user (me), to select whether they want to create a new contact or add it to an existing contact?
