No question in any OTN forum can be 'very urgent'.
OTN forums are not support forums, and they are staffed by volunteers.
Also this appears to be a Jdeveloper question and this is not the Jdeveloper forum.

  • CreateInsert and Commit in one operation

    Is there a way to CreateInsert and Commit in one operation? I just want the user to click one button to create a new record.

    Hi..
    You can try as this scenario one way is without bean class also you can with bean any way i will explain how do you do without bean
    Refresh your Data Control and say you have ViewObject name sampleVO and Application Module as AM.
    Drag and drop CreateInsert as ADF Button(DataControl --> AM -->sampleVo --> Operations --> CreateInsert),To fill data for newly created row Drag and Drop sampleVO as ADF - Form(DataControl --> AM--> sampleVo).Now want to commit this form to database for that purpose you can use Commit Operation in your Application Module Drag and Drop Commit as ADF Button(DataControl --> AM --> Operations -->Commit).Now you can successfully inserted data to DataBase using CreateInsert and Commit.

  • Create and commit does not work

    Hi,
    I have a Creation form in which I have a auto-suggest box(using ajax) and a ediable table.
    I have Create button and Commit button dragged from the Data Control Palette.
    But they dont work?
    Is it becoz of the Ajax which i have kept?
    Also Can anyone suggest a doc which explains what happens actually when a create/commit button is clicked.

    Hi,
    the create and commit buttons execute method bindings (operations if using ADF BC) on the binding layer.
    Not sure if this has to do with you Ajax implementation because this is what only you can tell from looking at your code. Change the "create" binding in the pageDef file to reference "CreateInsert" if using ADF Business Components. This will create a new row.
    Note that the commit button is disabled until a change has been submitted

  • Handling DB sequences for create and commit actions on ADF tables

    Hello,
    Most of the tables will have sequences used for primary keys and there will be columns like created_On and created_By columns. But my table does not require user inputs for these columns. So when commit button is clicked on the table how to handle these columns. The commit action should refer the sequence and enter SYSDATE and username for created_on and created_by columns.
    what is the workaround for this ?
    Thanks.

    Use groovy expressions as default values for the EO fields - adf.currentDate and adf.context.securityContext.getUserName()
    For the sequence see the ADF documentation:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16182/bcentities.htm#sm0147

  • How to combine Submit and Commit into a single operation?

    JDev 11.1.1.6
    Is there a simple way to combine Submit and Commit or Create and Commit or Delete and Commit into a single operation without creating a custom Operation class?
    Thanks,
    PeeVee

    Have a button and in the action listener event..you should drag and drop both create & commit onto your page so that it will have the required bindings in the pagedef.
    OperationBinding createOperationBinding = ADFUtils.getOperationBindingForMethod("Create");
    createOperationBinding.execute();
    OperationBinding commitOperationBinding = ADFUtils.getOperationBindingForMethod("Commit");
    commitOperationBinding.execute();

  • Creating and Binding View Objects dynamically : Oracle Jdeveloper 11g

    Hello,
    We are trying to create and bind view objects dynamically to adf data visualization components.
    The view object is a result of multiple tables.
    We are using Oracle JDeveloper 11g Technical Preview. ( can't upgrade to TP2 or TP3 now).
    We have found this : http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2003/07/15/creatingUpdateableMultientityViewObjectDefinitionsDynamically.html on our search for the same.
    The sample application however, is in 10g , hence required migration.
    Also, it was a standalone application with the TestClient.java having a main() method.
    Our requirement is for Web Application; we use Adf+jsf .
    Guidance of any sort is very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    there also exist a forum for JDeveloper 11: JDeveloper and OC4J 11g Technology Preview
    What you are trying todo is not trivial because you need to not only dynamically create the VO, you would also dynamically need to create the binding meta data for it (assuming you use ADF). Not sure if the API to modify the binding is public, so posting it on the JDeveloper 11 forum bears a glimpse of hope for an answer
    In JDeveloper 10.1.3 you can't do this

  • Problem in Creating new row & inserting data using CreateInsert and Commit

    Hello All,
    I have created a page there are few input text and i want to insert the data into a database table. I have created an Application Module I am using CreateInsert and Commit operation but there is one problem.
    At first it created a row in database after that it is not creating the new row instead it is updating the same row with the new values.
    In bindings of my jspx page I have created two binding for action (1) CreateInsert for the VO of that Application Module (2) Commit operation of that Application Module.
    Here is the code snippet of my application:
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("CreateInsert");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
    *if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {*
    return null;
    OperationBinding operationBinding1 = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
    Object result1 = operationBinding1.execute();
    *if (!operationBinding1.getErrors().isEmpty()) {*
    return null;
    I have tried using Execute+Commit and Insert+Commit case also in every case it is updating the same row and not inserting a new row.
    Is there anything I am missing?
    Please Help.

    hi user,
    i dono. why are trying with codes. adf provides zero lines codes.
    a wonderful drag and drop functionality provide by the framework.
    while double click the button the codes are  registered in your bean
        public String cb6_action() {
            BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
            OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("CreateInsert");
            Object result = operationBinding.execute();
            if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
                return null;
            return null;
        public String cb8_action() {
            BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
            OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
            Object result = operationBinding.execute();
            if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
                return null;
            return null;
        public String cb7_action() {
            BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
            OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Delete");
            Object result = operationBinding.execute();
            if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
                return null;
            return null;
        public String cb14_action() {
            BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
            OperationBinding operationBinding =
                bindings.getOperationBinding("Delete4");   // some different here. after deleting usually do commit
            OperationBinding operationBinding1 =
                bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");    // so here commit operation.
            Object result = operationBinding.execute();
            Object result1 = operationBinding1.execute();
            if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
                return null;
            if (!operationBinding1.getErrors().isEmpty()) {
                //add error handling here
                return null;
            return null;
        }if am not understud correctly. please some more explanation need.

  • How do I create multiple live USBs of Operating systems to boot from on one flashdrive?

    How do I create multiple live USBs of Operating systems to boot from on one flashdrive?
    I am attempting to create multiple live USBs within one flashdrive so that i can boot various operating systems without having to buy multiple USb sticks. I am using a Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Operating System currently. I am using the Terminal provided by the OS.
    I would like to try Debian, Kali, Precise Puppy, and Sabayon- with one space left empty for whatever Linux OS I would like to try next. I have partitioned an 8GB flashdrive into the following sections:
    name of intended OS,     space allocated for it:
    1)Debian ........................1.32 GB
    2)Kali..............................2.61GB
    3)Precise Puppy..............163.7MB
    4)Sabayon.......................1.77GB
    5)TBD..............................2.14GB
    I have figured out how to change the .iso files of the operating systems into .img files with the following commands:
    hdiutil convert -format UDRW /path/to/input.iso -o /path/to/output.img
    a .img.dmg file is created, this is corrected in the next line of code *please note: I am a a very beginner at programming, and would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!
    mv /path/to/output/file.img{.dmg,}
    This is where I started to get confused:
    I entered diskutil list to find the location of the partitions on my flashdrive, and this is the relevant section:
    /dev/disk1
       #:                       TYPE NAME                    SIZE       IDENTIFIER
       0:     FDisk_partition_scheme                        *8.0 GB     disk1
       1:                 DOS_FAT_32 DEBIAN               1.3 GB     disk1s1
       2:                 DOS_FAT_32 KALI                    2.6 GB     disk1s2
       3:                 DOS_FAT_32 PRECISE            163.7 MB   disk1s3
       4:                 DOS_FAT_32 SABAYON           1.8 GB     disk1s5
       5:                 DOS_FAT_32 TBD                     2.1 GB     disk1s6
    This is the code I attempted to use and the subsequent result:
    charles-burtons-mac-mini:~ charlesburton$ sudo dd if=/Users/charlesburton/Desktop/debian-live-7.2-i386-gnome-desktop.img of=/dev/disk1s1 bs=1m
    dd: /dev/disk1s1: Resource busy
    *at this point I went to the Disk Utility GUi and unmounted only the DEBIAN partition, now back to the terminal*
    charles-burtons-mac-mini:~ charlesburton$ sudo dd if=/Users/charlesburton/Desktop/debian-live-7.2-i386-gnome-desktop.img of=/dev/disk1s1 bs=1m
    dd: /dev/disk1s1: end of device

    1258+1 records out
    1320005632 bytes transferred in 1011.966891 secs (1304396 bytes/sec)
    Please may someone help explain why I had a return value of +1 in my records in and how I can make it work properly.

    I would like to know the answer to this as well.  I tried renaming the 3D version by adding 3D after it, but it still not a separate movie in iTunes.
    It's putting them in the same folder.

    Is it possible to open iPhoto twice under os-x lion, to create a photobook on one desktop and to have a look to the photos in full size on the other desktop?

    Ok let me ask you IF the IT department of your workplace does NOT want OS X installed on "THEIR" (The Companies) computers because of what they think is some type of security issue why are you trying to go against their wishes and install OS X on a computer that is NOT owned by you.
    That could cost you your job.
    If you continue down this path you will screw up the Windows install and have to take the system back to the IT department to get it fixed. What do you think they will say at that point?
    Do as you like but you would be better off just buying your own Mac computer if you are set on using OS X as your personal operating system.

    unable to insert more than one row with dependent select one choice using create insert in adf table.
    Able to add more rows in UI af:table but ,ignoring previous rows (select one choice values) and only latest current row values is getting inserted to the database.
    Following is the code used to create row and for pointing to the current row
    public void addRowOnSecSettings(){
    SecurityGroupSettingsVOImpl SecGroupSetVO =(SecurityGroupSettingsVOImpl) this.getSecurityGroupSettingsVO1();

  • HCM Processes and Forms - Create multiple records of one infotype (eg 0008)

    Dear all,
    I'm trying to create two new records in infotype 0008 (basic pay). Regarding it's time constraint 1 it should like the following:
    Before
    01.01.2010 - 31.12.9999 - 2000u20AC
    After
    01.01.2010 - 08.11.2010 - 2000u20AC
    09.11.2010 - 31.12.2010 - 2500u20AC
    01.01.2010 - 31.12.9999 - 3000u20AC
    So I want to add two splits two the record. One is easy, as it's done by the SAP_PA operation. I experimented with the record indices and duplicating my fields, but it didn't work. Another idea would be to retriggerd the SAP_PA several times using scenario steps.
    Can you give me a hint, by which lever multiplee splits can be achieved? Or is this not possible at all?
    Thanks in advance,
    Peter

    Thanks for your fast reply.
    Knowing this as a fallback is comforting. I just want to ensure, that I don't apply any coding, if a task is also possible by customizing.
    Another idea I had in the meantime was to execute the SAP_PA several times. Do you have any experience, if this works to create multiple records in one infotype?

  • How to create and configure proxies in ADF mobile using OWSM client agent?

    Hi
    Can anyone please tell me how to create and configure proxies in ADF mobile application using Oracle Web Services Manager (OWSM) Lite Mobile ADF Application Agent. I read it in mobile document that,
    For secured web services, the user credentials are dynamically injected using ADF Mobile uses Oracle Web Services Manager (OWSM) Lite Mobile ADF Application Agent to create and configure proxies, as well as to request services through the proxies. The user credentials are injected into the OWSM enforcement context when proxies are configured.
    I am new with this OWSM, can anyone please give me some hints like how to proceed further for implementing authentication using OWSM lite mobile ADF Application Agent??
    Thanks in advance
    Raj

    Hi Juan
    The demo is very useful, and in that Shay describes about the remote login using a regular ADF webapplication as a secured one and deploying it into the server. But I would like to know how to create a local login using OWSM client agent? .
    Without creating a regular ADF webapplication, how can i call secured webservices(i.e., by using OWSM client agent how to create and configure proxies to call secured webservice, where the user credentials are injected into webservice request by OWSM client as mentioned in ADF mobile document)??

  • UPDATE button in the Data Control Palette and CREATE,SUBMIT,COMMIT

    JDeveloper 10.1.3
    I created a simple JSP page. It is based on a ViewObject that ties directly to a Person Table.
    two questions:
    1) I noticed in the "Data Control Palette" doesn't have the UPDATE operation... How do I do an UPDATE?
    2) to Create a Person through my new form I had to do the following steps in the Web Page: HIT CREATE BUTTON, ENTER DATA, HIT SUBMIT BUTTON, HIT COMMIT BUTTON.
    Seems like a lot of steps to simply create a record - is there a simpler way (using the JSP page, not JHS or JSF..etc).
    Thanks!

    1) my edit form is pre loaded with a record, since it is based on a parameterized view and I had to modify the pagedefs for that edit page to have the proper binding and action. It is setup to receive the PID in the request and set the value to the bind variable. This works fine to pull up the record. I then have the buttons that I dragged and dropped onto the screen: Submit (came with the drag-drop of the parameterized view), Create, Execute, Commit, Rollback. When I preload the right person into the form (by calling edit_person.jsp?pid=1), and then change the name (for example), I would have suspected that if I hit Submit that the Commit button would be enabled.. but it isn't. if I remove the part that disables the Commit button, then the Commit button doesn't work...
    2) I am in 10.1.3, and if I drag the commit over to the "Submit" button it doesn't take...it wants to add the new button to the right or left of the "Submit" button....
