Create content modell, logical/physical document class, TA CT04/cl02/dc10

Dear experts,
Im about to get to know the SAP DMS. Content Server is already running working as well as the content repositories. I now wanna set up a content modell for testing with knowledge provider.
Im a bit confused about the different ways of doing that. What is actually the difference between creating a CHAR in TA ct04, creating a class in Cl02 with type 017 and the alternative of creating a content model with TA SRMCMCREATE or directly in the document modelling workbench.
Once ive hopefully understood the difference how can i start actually creating / uploading real (physical documents) cause in dont understand what TAs cvn01n/02n/03n are for.
There is a large number of function modules for kpro. Fo example when testing SDOK_LOIOS_CREATE i have to enter an RFC destination. What do i have to type in as RFC destination intending to store in content repositories of content server?
I know thats more than one question at a time but i would be very pleased some of these get answered.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Dear Christian,
I would like to start providing you information with CT04 question. Here the CHAR value is used for maintaining the type of classification characteristics. The CHAR entry stands for 'Character' type which
means you can add alphabetical and numerical values to this classification characteristic. Transaction CT04 is normally used for creating classification characteristics. In CL02 you can create a class for
classification and then add the characteristics to it. In the standard class type 017 is used for classifying document info records.
Transaction CV01N/CV02N/CV03N are used in standard for document managment functionalities. Here you can create/edit/display your document info records. These document info records are like a frame for your original files which could be added to an info record and then checked into your Content Server.
During this check in function the KPRO function modules are used too.
For further information I would recommend you to see the SAP online documentation under http://help.sap.com.
Best regards,
Christoph

  • Document Class {add image library + preloader}

    Hi there,
    I'm learning AS3 and want to use a document class to control
    my Flash movie (i.e. I want the time line to be completely empty).
    I've run into two problems.
    1.) I have a large image in the Flash library which I setup
    with "Export for ActionScript", but I was unable to work out how to
    add the image to the displaylist as i think it needs to be added as
    BitmapData? Can anyone advise how best to do this and provide an
    example please.
    2.) I have yet to find a simple example of creating a
    preloader in a document class? There was a BizTalk website tutorial
    but I don't think that explained very well what the code was doing
    - so I'm hoping someone here can provide a code example with
    comments (if the code example could tie into the point 1. above
    that would be brilliant).
    Finally, also I'm unsure of how a document class can preload
    content that doesn't actually exist until the class itself creates
    the content, just seems a bit odd?
    Any help with these two issues would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you :)
    Kind regards,
    M.

  • Document Class reference

    This might be tough for me to explain but here it goes:
    I have a textField in Frame 1 of a swf. that swf has a
    document class. When I compile that swf i can change the text in
    the textField easily with textField.appendText(text);
    However, when I compile a second swf which references that
    document class that textField gives me an error on compile because
    it does not exist in the document class of the swf it is referring
    to. How do I solve that? When I compile I get an 1120:Access Denied
    undefined property error. If I try to define the textField in my
    document class like private var textField; I get a confilct with
    namespace internal ....
    SWF 2 has no idea SWF 1 has no idea SWF 1 has a textField in
    its timeline when it is compiling.
    Is there a way around this or do I have to create the
    textField in my document class? There has to be a way to mix
    sprites in a timeline and sprites in the document class.

    You need to do two things to get it to compile.
    1. In Publish Settings -> ActionScript Settings UNCHECK
    the Automatically declare stage instances box.
    2. Declare your text field as public: public var
    textField:TextField;

    at the same time i have login on all /db2 with db2sid and run touch to test the permision . it sounds good. I don't know what happens , could you give me some suggestion ? thanks!

  • ArchiveLink - creating a new document class - how?

    Hello,
    I want to store csv files on our archive via archive link.
    But the file type that I need is not available in R/3.
    Ok, I think here is where my solution could be found:
    -> archive link -> basic customzing -> edit document classes
    Document class:  I add "CSV"
    But what´s behind the MIME type of a web object.
    What do I have to do to fill this field with something useful.
    What is to implement behind?
    Any help is appreciated!
    Best regards
    Dirk

  • Created column not showing in the Document Library View for a Custom Content Type based on Document

    We have a custom content type based of Document Content Type. The OOTB "Created" column does not show up in the view as well as in the Site Settings -> Columns.
    But it shows up in the Display Form and Edit Form of the Item at the bottom "Created at " by " " and "Modified by" at by ""
    Would anyone know how to make this column appear as part of the view ?
    thanks,
    Harsh

    Hi,
    They should by default be possible to add to a view. The only reason they would disappear from the UI if someone has changed the attribute of the Field to hidden = true. You can verify that with PowerShell and if so you can use PowerShell to revert the setting
    to false.
    $w = Get-SPWeb http://dev13$f = $w.Fields.GetFieldByInternalName("Created")$f.Hidden$f.Hidden = $false$f.Update()

  • How to create a link to a document in the KM content

    I work in BI.  I have a document in the KM Content folder and I want to create a link to this document from another folder that I created in Portal Content.  Can someone tell me I can do this?
    Thanks.
    Ryan

    There seems to be some confusion between Portal and KM features here.
    The problem is that I have no idea of BI. But as I understand it correctly, BI stores some objects like Web Reports in KM folders.
    To your point 1.: ZSANDYTEST looks like a customer development. This is not a standard navigation node. Also you speak of "folder". The navigation nodes "Content Administration" and "Portal Content" have nothing to do with KM at all. The are comming from a portal role. So the question is, what is ZSANDYTEST below the Portal Conten navigation node? Is it an iView? What kind of iView is it?
    You say you want to have a "link" in this "folder" but without getting more details about what kind of object "ZSANDYTEST" is I can only guess, what you are having there.
    I suggest to first get a basic understanding on portal content and portal roles starting about here
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/6b/a7a62102194ad0879b19731905d2de/frameset.htm
    No if you now what a role is and what an iView is, we can talk about how to integrate something into an already existing role. You can create an iView of a fitting type to integrate any content into the portal.
    For example create an SAP transaction iView if you want to integrate an SAP transaction.
    Now KM is an application using the portal. Things stored in KM can be intergrated in different ways.
    If you want to integrate a word document stored in KM it is a good idea to create a KM document iView. If you want to intergrate a whole KM folder structure you need to use a KM navigation iView. In the standard portal roles there are already KM navigation iViews, so to integrate a new object like a word document you can simply create a new KM folder and upload the document there.
    So try to specify if you mean a KM folder or a portal navigation node or a PCD folder. Because whithout seeing the system while talking about this there will be confusion.
    2. When creating a link in KM you will get a popup with KM entry points in it for which you have permissions. There is also a small link called "more" if not all entry points are fitting into the window.
    Form the link to this SRA_LOGO_TEST you posted before this seems to be stored in a subfolder of the "Public Documents" entry point (folder) so navigate into the Public Documents entry point and into the subfolder containing the object you want to link to. Of course, if you do not have read permission to the folders or objects you want to link to, you will not see them.

  • How to create a model access class ???

    HI,
          Can somebody tell me how to create a Model Access Class. In the Application Set, i can find the Model Access folder, but it has a list of application sets which is already created and the system asks to select a Application set. I need to create a new application set. Please help.
    Regards,
    Shiny

    Hi Shiny,
    I would suggest you not to create a new application set.
    If you are enhancing a standard PCUI application, i would suggest you to create new model access classes and assign them to the same application set which is assigned with the standard model access class for that application.
    Creating a model access class can be done through the transaction SE24(like any other Z-class).
    Go to transaction CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C and you could assign this newly created Model access class to the standard application set. This can be done under Application Element->Application Set->MOdel Access Class.
    If you still feel the need to create a new application set altogether, it can be done from Trx CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C->Layout of PCUI-> Application Element->Application set.
    I hope it helps.
    Cheers,
    Gyan.

  • Can we create logical/ physical schema by running any script (unix/window)?

    I wish to create logical/ physical schema in oracle data integrator
    by running any windows or preferably unix script.
    is there any method or scripts provided in ODI?

    I think you could insert info into Matser Respository tables:
    Connect info: snp_connect
    Logical Schemas : snp_lschema
    Physical Schemas: snp_pschema
    Or you may write some sql to do this.

  • Generate document classes when creating WebService from WSDL using JAXRPC

    Can anybody tell me how i can generate request response document classes.Response is return type and request is its parameter of method (service provided by webservice).
    I had used cmd:
    wscompile -keep -gen:both -d src config.xml
    My config.xml is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <configuration xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jax-rpc/ri/config">
    <wsdl
    location="wsdl\TroubleTicket\v1-2\JVTTroubleTicketSession.wsdl"
    packageName="src">
    <handlerChains>
    </handlerChains>
    <namespaceMappingRegistry>
    </namespaceMappingRegistry>
    </wsdl>
    </configuration>
    After running the wscompile command, i was able to generate SOAPBuilder classes, LiteralSerialiser files, Request-Response-Exception classes and the Tie, stub, Port and Impl classes.
    How can i procedd furthur???

    Arushi,
    I would refer to the online tutorial for JWSDP, which walks you through creating a web service and a Client to the service.

  • How can I exchange my pc created documents on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with my mac and my Pages, Numbers and Keynote created content with my pc?  I need to create and edit between both.

    How can I exchange my pc created documents on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with my mac and my Pages, Numbers and Keynote created content with my pc?  I need to create and edit and exchange between both types of operating systems.

    Your Windows system will not open any Pages, Numbers or Keynote documents. No applications exist for Windows that can open those formats. You will need to export your documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats, respectively, before you'll be able to view and edit the documents on your Windows system. The iWork documents can natively open Word, Excel and PP documents, though there are limitations on what can be imported (for instance, Numbers does not support all possible Excel functions). Consult the documentation for the relevant iWork application for details on importing and exporting.
    If you are asking how to get the documents from one system to the other, then there are several ways to do that, including file sharing, using an external drive (hard drive, USB flash drive), or emailing the documents to yourself. Which would be best for your situation I can't say without more details about your usage.

  • Create Document Class

    Hi!
    In tx [SKPR07] you can select a document class. Where are these classes created? How are they connected to the Document Area? I'm trying to index an archive link repository but I can't get it to work. I think that this could be a step in the right direction. I suspect that the Document Class has something to do with the [DMWB] transaction. Am I right?
    //Krip

    Hi,
    You have the default Document Classes already avaialble.
    Basing on the type of element you want to create check the Document classes available in the help link.

    Eswari.

  • Xcode, how do you take an app from an idea to a data model, data structure, or class structure?

    Hey everyone!
    I'm a beginner xcoder and computer engineering sophomore and have literally spent every hour of the past few weeks reading as much as I possibly can about becoming a developer.
    I've found plenty of documentation, and guides on how to do very specific things in xcode and objective-C but am still looking for more information on one topic; how do you decide which data models/structures/controllers etc to use?
    I mean, you personally. I've been looking for a resource on this and have not been able to find one. I just finished Apple's iOS Developers Guide and they mention "choosing a data model" but do not describe them in much detail.
    The following is what is provided in the guide:
    ● Choose a basic approach for your data model:
    ● Existing data model code—If you already have data model code written in a C-based language, you
    can integrate that code directly into your iOS apps. Because iOS apps are written in Objective-C, they
    work just fine with code written in other C-based languages. Of course, there is also benefit to writing
    an Objective-C wrapper for any non Objective-C code.
    ● Custom objects data model—A custom object typically combines some simple data (strings, numbers,
    dates, URLs, and so on) with the business logic needed to manage that data and ensure its consistency.
    Custom objects can store a combination of scalar values and pointers to other objects. For example,
    the Foundation framework defines classes for many simple data types and for storing collections of
    other objects. These classes make it much easier to define your own custom objects.
    ● Structured data model—If your data is highly structured—that is, it lends itself to storage in a
    database—use Core Data (or SQLite) to store the data. Core Data provides a simple object-oriented
    model for managing your structured data. It also provides built-in support for some advanced features
    like undo and iCloud. (SQLite files cannot be used in conjunction with iCloud.)
    ● Decide whether you need support for documents:
    The job of a document is to manage your app’s in-memory data model objects and coordinate the storage
    of that data in a corresponding file (or set of files) on disk. Documents normally connote files that the user
    created but apps can use documents to manage non user facing files too. One big advantage of using
    documents is that the UIDocument class makes interacting with iCloud and the local file system much
    simpler. For apps that use Core Data to store their content, the UIManagedDocument class provides similar
    support.
    I suppose my question boils down to, how do you decide which structures to use? If you can provide an example of an app idea and how its implemented that would be very helpful and much appreciated!
    For example, to implement the idea of an app which allows users to progress through levels of knowledge of a certain subject and rewarding them with badges and such (this is not an actual app just a whim) how would one model that?
    Thanks in advance for all your help!!!

    SgtChevelle wrote:

    Trial and error.
    I wish I had a better answer for you, but that pretty much encapsulates it. There is some, but not much, good wisdom out there, but it takes a significant amount of experience to be able to recognize it. The software development community if currently afflicted with a case of copy-and-paste-itis. And the prognosis is poor.
    The solution is to be brutal to yourself and others. Focus on what you need and ignore everything else. Remember that other people have their own needs and methods and they might not be applicable to you. Apple, for example, can hire thousands of programmers, set them to coding for six months, pick the best results, and have the end-users spend their own time and monety to test it. If you don't have Apple's resources and power, think twice about adopting Apple's approach. And I am talking from a macro to a micro perspective. Apple's sample and boilerplate code is just junk. Don't assume you can't do better. You can.
    Unfortunately, all this takes time and practice. You can read popular books, but never assume that anyone knows more than you do. Maybe they do and maybe they don't. It takes time to figure that out. Just do your best, ignore the naysayers, and doubt other people even more than you doubt yourself.
